Today's episode is a glimpse into the true story written by host, Mikki Shepard, called IN A HEARTBEAT-The Miracle of a Family That Was Meant to Be originally inspired by her Dad and fully blossomed from the adoption of her son.

- The Law of Attraction is always working in our lives whether we believe in it or not.
- It doesn’t take biology to make a family.
- Adoption as a choice is the ultimate gift of love for the child, birth parents and adoptive parents.
The book was the inspiration that launched Adoption As A Choice to raise awareness about adoption by sharing stories and information from industry experts, and from families that grew or resulted as a result of adoption.
About 81.5 million Americans have considered adopting a child at one time in their lives. That’s about 40 percent of all U.S. adults, up from 36 percent in 1997. It’s a statistic that will likely continue to grow as more Americans understand how beautiful adoption can be. While many of these people will not actually complete the adoption process, these numbers clearly demonstrate that there are a significant number of loving families who are interested in adoption.
