We talked about the potential danger when untreated childhood wounds go unaddressed and how this may create a toxic sense of entitlement and misuse of power that can destroy innocent lives and your closest relationships not only in America but globally. Phyllis spoke about her own childhood trauma and shared practical and profound insights on how to move from survival mode and embody inner resilience.
The theme of this show is Trust and Safety and how they're inherently linked. Many adult children didn't have a strong and consistent safety net growing up which makes it harder to trust ourselves and the world and if you grew up and witnessed the first adults in your life acting out, you probably froze and needed to become invisible so trust and safety are our birthright and it's not too late to learn what it takes to become your own loving parent.
