Adult Puberty Podcast is for those of us who didn’t receive a silver spoon into adulthood and who dare to live authentic, unscripted lives. My name is Ebonie and I value self-development, or "the work" as I call it, in the areas of physical health, mental/emotional stability and spiritual maturity. I have experienced the transformative power of doing the work, so I want to empower and encourage you to embrace "the work" for the sole purpose of being the best version of yourself. Mountaintop experiences happen every so often. Does that mean we stop living or growing? Not at all! There’s so much untapped opportunity for personal growth in everyday living. You are not alone and we are all trying to figure it out, so I hope you hear something that makes you think, laugh, grow or seek God for your self.

There is a generation of us, Generation X, born between 1965 and 1980 that, I believe, are the closest targets in this new economic normal of the have’s and the have nots. Sure, most people I know are not affected by this lackluster job market nor...
In this episode I talk about my uncle’s recent passing and how his unconventional lifestyle was an example of authenticity for me and a reminder that people can change but more often than not, are unlikely to.
I have a 1 day challenge to encourage you to be exactly who you are and give others the space to be exactly who they are.
Sometimes the struggles of being an adult and ordinary life can seem like the only thing going on. I for one, have wanted to just not participate in life as I say, but then I’m reminded that life ebbs and flows, there is a bigger picture and I am a part of that bigger picture, no matter how crappy I feel.
I noticed a pattern in my life that consisted of four seasons:
There aren’t many things that we all can say we need. Air, water, food and REST are the exception. We ALL need rest. I am sharing what I am learning on this journey to living a rest based lifestyle, Tips so that you can invite more rest into your life and how rest is so much more than sleep, it’s a mindset and a state of being.

My Aunt has been a nun for 70 years. Many people have never known a nun let alone a black nun. I spent time with her on a recent visit to Cleveland, Ohio and wanted to share a snippet of a candid conversation we had. She drops some gems on race, children, self love, kindness. and more. Just a lil something to break the monotony.....

Grief is personal. I don't have a "to do" list for grief but in this episode I talk about how I had been avoiding grieving for two relationships and why Its healthy to process grief that may not be tied to the death of someone but rather because of some change in your life or the loss of a relationship, place or thing.
There's much controversy around the truth, what it is and what it is not, but you don't hear much about HOW to be truthful or HOW to accept the truth. We take it for granted that not everyone knows how to be truthful or how to accept the truth. In this episode I get into 3 ways to practice telling the truth and 3 ideas you can implement to help you better accept the truth.
So... I was in my bag after I found this 20 year old poem that I wrote at age 25. However! It's a great reminder whether for those of us who are single to embrace this unique time of self love and self discovery.
