The Psalmist says in Psalms 46 verse 10 that “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
Silent surrender requires that you understand your spiritual positioning with God knowing that he is sovereign in all situations including prayer. You learn to be still and quiet until God allows physical or spiritual communication. Remember the Jesus tells us in Matthew chapter 6 verse 8 that God knows what we're in need of even before we ask in prayer. It is good to know that God is ahead of our needs.
