Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hey, hey, this is
Sahar Andrade, your host for AI
Cafe Conversations, and this isepisode two from season two what
AI beginners really need toknow no tech required.
So first I want to welcome youto my podcast.
Please like it, subscribe to it, share it, help me expand on
(00:36):
the internet.
I really appreciate it.
So the first thing I want toshare with you today is you have
probably seen the headlinesright chat GPT is storing your
conversations even after youdelete them.
Or maybe you have heardwhispers like AI knows too much
or is it spying on us?
So let me stop you right there.
Let me tell you what thatreally means and why the news
(01:00):
are like running with it.
Today we are cutting throughthe fear and the fog, because
this podcast isn't about panic,it's about power.
Knowledge is power.
So again, welcome to episodetwo of the ai cafe conversations
.
I'm sahar, your ai whisperer, and today we are going to unpack
(01:23):
what ai beginners really needto know to feel confident, not
confused what's actuallyhappening with chat, gpt and
memory, and how to stop avoidingAI and start aligning it with
your leadership, your brand andyour legacy.
Let's go on right.
Let's be honest.
The number one reason smartpeople avoid.
(01:44):
Ai is not tech, it's shame.
You think I should already knowthat, or you know what.
I'm just too far behind or Idon't want to sound stupid, but
here's the truth.
Ai is still.
It's in infancy.
People and everyone, even theexperts, is learning in public.
(02:06):
God knows I'm doing that everyday.
You don't have to be perfect, you just have to be willing.
The AI headlines and what'sreally going on.
So let's talk about the memorysituation because, honestly, it
kind of worried me for a while.
So I went and I did someresearch and this is what I'm
(02:26):
sharing with you.
So, yes, openai confirmed thatChatGPT can now remember certain
things across chats, even ifyou deleted a past conversation.
But wait, wait, wait, wait,people.
Okay, before you panic, here iswhat it means.
One it only saving memory whenyou allow it to.
(02:49):
You can turn it off anytime.
Two, memory is stored toimprove your experience.
No spy on your thoughts.
You are in control.
You can review what itremembers and reset it.
So let me give you a tip on howto send your profile, even if
(03:10):
you have a free membership onChatGPT or a free profile on
ChatGPT.
Go to the right top corner, where there is only a letter of
your name the first letter ofyour name or your picture and
click on that.
You're're gonna see a drop downmenu, click on settings and
then you go to data conversionor data privacy I'm not sure
(03:33):
what it said, but I think it'scalled data something and on the
top of that screen there is usemy information to teach others,
or something around that andtoggle it's.
It's usually on because this isthe default toggle that button
and put it on off.
So this way, chat gpt cannotuse your information to train or
(03:54):
to teach someone else somethingelse.
But also the court, the, the, the.
I'm going to go through thestory and the court order in a
second.
But the court order said evenif you deleted it or if you
didn't want to have the memory, they still need to keep a chat
GPT still to keep the memory fora little bit.
But let me go through thatagain in details, let me unwrap
(04:16):
it for you.
So that's what you need to dopersonalization Go to your name
or your picture, click, go todata and then toggle the button
that says do not use myinformation to teach others.
So this is not a privacy breach.
It's a test phase that helpsyour AI evolve with you like a
coach who remembers how youthink.
(04:37):
So it works for us actually, though I understand sometimes it
can feel eerie or even weird, but if we learn how to work with
it to our own benefit, it'sreally very, very helpful.
The other thing is sometimesyou can see it tells you memory
full.
That means so you go back toyour name or your picture, you
(04:59):
click and you go on settings andthen you go to where a memory
is, or personalization, and itwill tell you manage memory.
Click on that.
It will show you every littlething that it retained about you
.
So sometimes it's retainedthing that I didn't ask it to
retain.
You can very easily go andclick on that recycle bin that
(05:23):
is that to delete it.
So you can go and you can askit to delete all the memories
that have been there.
You can ask it not to retainanything from your memory.
So you control all of that.
It's just knowing how to use it.
So, again, going back to thatthing about the memory and how
they are being keeping it, and Iget it.
(05:44):
I get what people are worriedbecause, like I said, I was
worried in the beginning.
We are wired to fear what wedon't fully understand.
But your power isn't in control, it's in your clarity, not in
your control.
So let's talk a little bitabout the neuroscience of trust
and let's bring in the brain.
Right, you know me, I'm alwaysneuroscience, miss, neuroscience
(06:06):
, right.
So when we don't understandsomething, our brain triggers
the amygdala.
That is our survival mechanism,or your internal alarm bell.
That's why AI feels scary, because we don't know what it is
.
And the brain always will tryto protect us from any danger,
real or perceived.
But the more familiar somethingbecomes, the less threat it
(06:30):
poses.
So the key isn't avoiding ai,it's creating intentional
exposure.
Let your brain see ai as a tool, not a threat, the same way you
learn to drive or use email ortrust a GPS.
And let me tell you somethingagain about that memory thing.
Actually, there was a lawsuitbrought on ChatGPT to get their
(06:56):
memory and they are fighting itin court so they don't have to
expand it.
So even if they're keeping thememory, that does not mean that
they are sharing it with someone.
They are keeping it for 30 daysas per the court order, but
that doesn't mean they'realready sharing.
Of course they will have toshare it if they have a warrant
or they will be ordered by courtto do it.
(07:18):
But so far nothing has beenshared.
And also, if you have deletedanything before may 13, it's
gone, it's just gone.
And, by the way, whatever youdelete on the memory on chat gpt
will always kind of stay for 30days.
So if you want to recall it,you have that recourse if you
want to do it.
So hope that clarifies thewhole thing about the memory and
(07:40):
chat GPT.
So now let's really makewhatever I've been talking about
AI and it's used a little bittangible.
Here is what I want you to dotoday Go to chat GPT and type
this as my time managementvirtual assistant.
Can you not, as you are my timemanagement virtual assistant,
(08:02):
can you not, as you are my timemanagement virtual assistant,
can you create a weekly contentcalendar for a leadership coach
who focuses on neuroscience andreinvention?
Watch what happens.
Or you can say can you create aweekly content calendar for a
personal trainer that helpswomen keep in shape after 40.
(08:23):
?
Or you can say can you create aweekly content calendar for a
fashion designer who focuses ontrends and colors for this
season?
Whatever it is, you just put itthere, but always have a
function in the beginning or arole.
You are my time managementvirtual assistant, so that's a
real task and you watch whathappens.
(08:45):
That's a real ROI Return onyour investment.
An investment here is your time.
That's real support.
You didn't have to hire anactual VA for you, just saved
time.
That's AI with purpose.
So let me it with you.
A personal story that I justwent through in.
(09:06):
I have an, a book upcoming andI just finished it.
Finished it and I'm stillediting it and it's gonna be
really a surprise.
I hope you like it.
So in our upcoming book and Isay our, and I'm going to say
why in a second, I'm talkingthrough the whole book the arc
(09:27):
of the book is about a coachcalled Bella that starts from
scratch and by the end of thebook it shows you what she has
done.
So our coach, bella thecharacter of our book realized
that she wasn't using AI wrong.
She was just using it like ato-do list, not a teammate.
She was using it like a Googlesearch, like 90% of the people
(09:48):
that are using ChatGPT are usingit as a Google search.
Ai is not a task manager okay,it's a thinking partner.
It's not a strategy.
It's a tool.
It won't replace yourbrilliance.
It will reveal it.
That's what this podcast isabout.
That's what our new brand isabout.
(10:09):
We are not building robots here.
We are building relevance, yourpower, your word, your brand,
what?
So?
Let me ask you something andyou can have some thought about
it, or some reflection prompts.
What's one task you hate doingthat AI can handle for you?
(10:34):
I want you to write that down.
Okay, this is gold.
I promise you.
What's one task you hate doingthat AI could handle Scheduling,
reading, summarizing, what'sone conversation you could lead
(10:55):
differently with AI support whowould you be if you stopped
trying to catch up and juststarted?
So what's one task you hatedoing that AI could handle?
What's one conversation youcould lead differently with AI
support?
Who could you be if you stoptrying to catch up and just
start?
You don't have to knoweverything.
You just have to know how tolead with what you have.
(11:16):
