Speaker 1 (00:13):
Hello and good
morning my friends.
This is Sahar Andrade, yourpodcast host and your AI
whisperer.
I'm bringing you a brand newsubject today.
It's Ecotech Brew how AI iscrafting a greener tomorrow for
those of you out there that careas much as I do about climate
(00:36):
change and the environment.
But first I want to thank allof you that are really helping
me with the algorithms byopening and listening to my
podcast.
I totally appreciate it.
It's a brand new podcast, so II would appreciate any help.
Please like it, refer it toyour friends, subscribe it, and
(00:56):
so I could just keep doing whatI'm doing.
Thank you so much.
First, as usual, we're gonnastart with some news about what
has been going on this week.
So Google has released threenew AI models GEMMA or GEMMA2,
to be chill.
Gemma or GEMMA and GEMMAscope.
(01:20):
So they are not like the closedGemini models that have been
created before, but they'reactually open.
What does that mean?
Is that it means it gives thedevelopers an access to their
source code.
Focus and that's it's yoursafety and that's uh.
(01:49):
Set basically with the initialone, gemma two models that were
launched in may.
So let's talk for a secondabout what is it and how does
that look so?
The gemma 2 to b is built forgenerating and analyzing text,
um and it's light, so it canactually be operated and
functioning on laptops and edgedevices.
(02:09):
The chilled Gemma is a safetyshield designed to detect,
monitor and filter out toxic andharmful contents and prompts
like discrimination, harassment,explicit material, hate
speeches, and this way itenhances the AI safety.
(02:32):
The last one, that isGemmaScope.
It allows the developer to zoomin on specific parts of the
Gemma 2 models and this way itcan gain insights on how to look
at patterns, analyzes them, identifies them, so it can
process the information andmakes its prediction.
(02:54):
I want to thank, first of all.
I get this from AI tool report,so I want to thank them for
always keeping me updated withall the information there is.
The other big report this weekis that Microsoft.
That is actually a big part ofOpenAI or ChatGPT.
(03:17):
They were considered partners, but now all of a sudden this
week they actually move open AIor chat GPT into their list of
competition, specifically afteruh, and this change came after
open AI or chat GPT announcedlast week that they are having a
(03:40):
new search engine or search GPT.
So all of a sudden now they areinto the list of competition.
Another big news is that the EU,or European Union, has just
released laws that are verystrict about AI and safety.
It kind of hinders some of theresearch of the US companies in
(04:05):
AI here, but looking at it,actually I see it as a necessity
.
But they are actually trying toprotect people online from the
AI harms and putting more ethicsand guidelines in it.
I mean, usually the EU isusually more strict than us here
(04:25):
in the US about these rules andregulations.
Those of you that do somethingwith music or audio there is
actually a copyright conundrum.
Ai music generators like Sunioand Udio are actually defending
themselves against lawsuits froma few major record labels,
(04:50):
claiming that their trainingmethods count as fair use.
So we'll see what's going tohappen with that.
The other news is that stabilityAI has released a version that
is actually faster for its 3Dimage generators.
That can create 3D images inprobably like half a second.
(05:10):
It's about 1200 times fasterthan its predecessor.
Taco Bell is releasing arollout of its AI voice tech.
They currently have it in 100drive-thru.
They are a total of 7 200 usbstackable and they have been
(05:33):
working on this for two years, trying to fine-tuning it to make
sure that it's accurate, thatso they can reduce the wait
times and decrease employeestask load, and I don't know if
in other terms, that meansletting some employees go
because they're doing it forprofitable growth.
So we'll watch and see One ofthe things also that usually
(06:01):
whatever they tried likeMcDonald's that tried AI voice
tech before found out that thecustomers complained that its AI
system was getting their orderswrong.
So all this is still into likethe experimental phase, but we
will see it happening, probablypretty soon.
Like anything else.
And now, sharing some tools, there is actually something
(06:24):
called comment generatorgenerator.
Comment generator thatgenerates customized instagram
comments for you, just in caseyou don't know what to do.
Another thing is tapio is oneof the tools that can leverage
ai to grow your audience onlinkedin if you use linkedin can
(06:52):
leverage ai to grow youraudience on linkedin if you use
linkedin.
Um, leania l-e-a-n-i-a actuallymaximizes productivity and
efficiency with ai.
We also have mindsmith.
Mindsmith one word.
It's a generative ai platformthat makes it easy and extremely
fast to create and sharelearning content.
It easy and extremely fast tocreate and share learning
(07:15):
content.
Um, what else?
Q sourcer, uh, q sourcer withan r at the end and it can
supercharge your talent sourcingon linkedin, github and other
sites with an ai powered search.
One of the things that promptsthe fun prompts that I want to
leave with you today, like, ifyou are following me, a keto
diet or a low carb diet, you canactually go and say, as, first
(07:37):
of all, you have to enter afunction for your prompts in
your prompt engineering.
So the first thing is, as myhealth coach and nutritionist,
create a one week meal plan uh,that is keto or that is low in
carb or that is low in fat, whatever you, how you you want
(08:00):
to decide how your meal is, withthree meals and three snacks
per day.
That amounts of.
And then you put the amount ofcalories that you want to
consume that day per day with amacro nutrient breakdown or
maybe 45 carbohydrates, 25protein and 30 fat for each meal
.
If you're doing keto, of courseyou're gonna reverse these
(08:21):
percentages.
If you're doing atkins, look atgoogle.
What are the percentage of eachof the micronutrients?
If you're doing low fat, lookat what are the macro nutrients
breakdown of a low fat diet.
So this can can be good.
The other thing that is cute Idon't know if you know that you
can actually open um on yourphone app for chat gpt.
(08:45):
You can open your camera andlet it go through your pantry
and maybe through your phone appfor ChatGPT, you can open your
camera and let it go throughyour pantry and maybe through
your phone and you can ask it tocreate a menu for dinner based
on the meals that you requested, and you can even ask it for
recipes.
It's really cool, really reallycool.
And now we are going into ourtoday's episode, that is,
(09:08):
ecotech brew how ai is craftinga greener tomorrow.
Eco warriors and techenthusiastic, welcome back to ai
cafe conversations, where todaywe are blending our love for
technology with our passion forour planet.
As I said before, I'm sahar, your ai whisper, brewing up a
(09:32):
discussion on how ai is becomingour ally in the fight against
environmental challenges.
So grab your cup of organiccoffee and let's uncover the
innovative ways ai is helping usbuild a sustainable future.
Let's start in the vast fieldsof agriculture, where AI is
(09:56):
putting a revolution on how wegrow our food.
Precision agriculture uses AI toanalyze data from satellite
images, weather forecasts andfield sensors to make farmer
more efficient.
For instance, ai algorithms cantell farmers exactly when and
(10:19):
where to plant how much water, how much to water and when to
harvest to maximize yields andminimize waste.
Isn't that just amazing?
Picture this a drone flyingover a large cornfield equipped
(10:40):
with AI powered sensorsassessing plant health and soil
conditions.
This drone can spot a diseaseoutbreak before it even spreads.
It can adjust water levelsbased on real-time soil moisture
readings.
Maybe I should get that for ourgrass in the front.
(11:01):
When it's really hot, it kindof dies no matter how much water
we give it.
So probably we don't have theright equation for that.
Hmm, thinking, thinking.
It's like having a barista whoknows exactly how to tweak the
coffee grind settings forenvironmental conditions to
ensure every espresso shot isperfect.
(11:27):
Moving from the fields to ourforests, AI is playing a crucial
role in conservation efforts.
Deforestation and forestdegradation are major issues
contributing to biodiversityloss and climate change.
Ai helps by monitoring foresthealth, tracking illegal logging
(11:52):
activities and even predictingfire outbreaks before they
happen.
And here in California we candefinitely use a lot of that.
Imagine AI algorithmsprocessing images from
satellites or unmanned aerialvehicles to detect changes in
(12:14):
forest cover.
These systems can alertlocation authorities in
real-time about potentialillegal activities or emerging
threats, such an alert system ina cafe that notifies when
supplies are running low orequipment is malfunctioning,
(12:37):
driving into the deep blue.
Ai's impact on marineconservation is profound.
The health of our oceans iscritical, not just for marine
life but for the entire planet.
Ai helps researchers track themovement of marine species,
(12:59):
monitor the health of coralreefs and even detect pollutants
at scales and speeds impossiblefor human divers.
They have been doing a lot withwhales and dolphins now with AI
, which is amazing.
Maybe I will just have a fullepisode on that later on.
(13:20):
Consider an AI system analyzingthousands of hours of
underwater footage to identifyand track endangered species or
invasive plants.
And track endangered species orinvasive plants.
It's akin to a barista who cantaste a hint of imbalance in a
(13:44):
blend and immediately knows howto correct it.
For future bruise In our cities.
Ai optimizing how we use energyand manage waste.
Smart cities employ AI toautomate and improve everything
from traffic flow to energy usein buildings, significantly
(14:05):
reducing the urban carbonfootprint.
And in the same realm ofrenewable energy, ai is crucial.
It optimizes the output of windand solar forms by predicting
weather changes and adjustingparameters in real time Time to
(14:28):
capture the maximum amount ofnatural energy as well.
This is much like adjusting acafe's layout based on the day's
weather, ensuring every guesthas the best experience, rain or
shine.
So, as we finish today,eco-friendly chat at the AI Cafe
(15:05):
conversations with your AIwhisperer, I hope you feel
inspired about the role AI canplay in preserving our planet.
Every step we take towardsintegrating AI into our
environmental efforts isactually a step towards a more
sustainable work.
Before I wrap up, I always liketo remind you of prompt
(15:26):
engineering and prompt chaining.
Remember garbage in, garbageout, and we need to always
remember that the first thingthat you enter into your prompts
is a role.
You need to assign a role toyour AI, either it's ChatGPT,
(15:47):
cloud, microsoft, copilot, gemini, meta, perplexity any of
them you have to enter a role.
So I know that some of you, some of my clients, I ask them
always to write blogs orarticles to increase their SEO
and visibility, and they don'tknow what to write about or it
(16:10):
doesn't come to their head.
So one of the things that youcan do and I'm just gonna give
you another tip, uh, beside theprompt that I give you before as
you can go and ask um ai as mycontent writer and brand
specialist with expertise in andyou put the industry that you
(16:34):
come from.
Give me five ideas aboutchallenges and desires within my
.
Put your industry, what it isfor, put if you have the titles
or who your clients is, explainit in details and then say list
(16:57):
my services or my product as asolution, without self
advertising or self selling, andsee what kind of ideas it gives
you.
Look at the one that appeals toyou and then ask it.
Take it back and ask it.
Ask for above.
(17:19):
Write an article of 600 words,900 words, 1200 words, whatever
you want, and I would ask it tomake it simple, make it fun,
make it easy that a highschooler will understand it.
Always start your blog with ahook and end it with a call to
(17:39):
action.
Make sure that you ask it forthree hashtags.
Ask the blog to be SEOoptimized and ask it to use
keywords, and then ask it togive you five choices of titles
that are SEO optimized withkeywords.
Hope that helps you guys.
(18:00):
