Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, hello, hello.
This is your host, sahar NRaleigh, and today we are
talking about can leaders stillbe human in an AI world?
Short answer, yes, long answer.
This is what we are going to gothrough right now.
So let's be honest the AIheadlines are getting louder.
(00:22):
Headlines are getting louder.
Ai now records your Zoom calls.
The US government just launchedan AI hub for public service.
Your chatbot remembers moreabout you than your best friends
.
It's kind of true, I mean, I'mnot going to deny that.
But if you're feeling bothfascinated and a little freaked
(00:44):
out, you're not alone.
But here's the truth AI willnever replace your humanity, at
least not yet, just kidding.
It will not replace yourhumanity.
It reveals where your humanitywas actually missing.
So again, again, welcome toepisode 3 of ai cafe
(01:05):
conversations, season 2, umsahar, the ai whisperer.
And today we are unpacking threethings what are the latest ai
updates and what do they meanfor leadership, why being human
is still your biggest advantageand a lot of people are not even
(01:27):
using that, and how to leadwith clarity, connection and
courage in the age of automation.
So first, let's have a realtalk about the latest ai moves.
Here is what's new zoom.
Now lets ai take meeting notes.
What's new?
(01:47):
Zoom now lets AI take meetingnotes, summarize action items
and even suggest follow-ups.
That's helpful, but also that'svisibility.
Ai is now your silentparticipant.
So how you show up and howclearly you communicate matters
more than ever.
So, as we all know, mattersmore than ever.
So, as we all know, zoom hascompanion AI.
You can use Fathom, you can useOtter as well, but now even
(02:16):
ChatGPT is adding something that, or an extension that you can
start recording Zoom as well forthe same purpose.
It's not out for everyone yet,but we are getting there.
The second point that I want todiscuss today is that the US
government has launched theAIgov hub.
It's a centralized place forpublic-facing tools, education
(02:38):
and ethical guidance aroundartificial intelligence.
This means AI isn't just inSilicon Valley or private
industry.
It's becoming part of how wegovern, how we teach and
definitely how we serve.
These are not just updates.
These are signs that leadershipin 2025 2025 requires a whole
(03:03):
new language, a whole newawareness and new emotional
tools.
So let's talk a little bitabout you know me, I love
neuroscience, so let's talkabout the neuroscience inside
safety and visibility.
It is what the brain actuallycraves during uncertainty or
(03:27):
uncertain time, the brain willcrave predictability, meaning
and connection.
When tools like AI start makingdecisions, your job as a leader
is to re-center the humanexperience.
And guess what?
Only you can do that.
Ai cannot do it for you.
So what does that mean?
(03:49):
It means that your voicematters, the tone of your emails
matters, the clarity of yourthinking matters, the emotion
behind your feedback matters.
Ai can't replicate that, but itamplifies whatever you put in.
(04:13):
So the question becomes how tolead with AI without losing
yourself and without losing yoursoul.
You can do, for example, thisprompt right now.
You are my leadership guru.
Help me write a team email thatsounds clear, supportive and
(04:38):
proactive about using AI toolsduring our next project.
You wanna kick it in a highergear?
You can say you are myempathetic and compassionate
leader.
Help me write a team email thatsounds clear, supportive and
(04:58):
proactive about using AI toolsduring our next project.
And I need to remind everyonewriting a prompt, writing
something in the box and gettinga response, is not magic.
It's not proficiency in usingAI.
It's how you prompt your prompt.
(05:18):
That is proficiency.
That's why it's called promptengineering Garbage in, garbage
out and unfortunately, more than70% of the people that think
they are great at using AI arejust using it as Google search.
They're using it as acalculator rather than using it
as a super duper powerfulcomputer.
(05:40):
So just remember that the firstthing that you put in a prompt
is give it a context, a role, souse the result that you're
going to get from that.
Then tweak it.
Add your human story, becauseno one can have your story.
No one else, even other humanbeings, cannot have your story.
So add your human story, yourpassion, your emotion and your
(06:03):
feelings in that.
That's what is for just toco-pilot with you, not a puppet
master, but it cannot replicateyour emotions either.
There is another prompt thatI'm going to give you that can
help you as well.
I would say you are myleadership or you are my leader
(06:27):
project manager.
Give me three leadershiptalking points I can use to calm
fears around AI adoption duringa department meeting.
You want to kick it in a highergear.
You can say you are my changemanagement consultant.
You are my change managementconsultant, team builder and
(06:51):
compassionate leader thatspecializes in public speaking.
Give me three leadershiptalking points I can use to calm
fears around AI adoption duringa department meeting.
These are tools that supportyour emotional presence, not
replace them.
(07:11):
I actually have a name for mychat, gpt, and I call her Bella.
So what I want to share withyou that I actually I'm
finalizing a book about humanintelligence and artificial
intelligence and how they cancooperate.
We're not competing, we areactually cooperating.
So I used Bella as a name of acoach in the book throughout 13
(07:37):
chapters.
That is the arc of the storythat we see her progress from
where she was to where she is,and I call it Bella's Mirror.
So I'm going to share with youa moment from the book and the
book is called, by the way, aCoach's Brain Meet AI.
So this is a moment from thebook at Bella's Mirror.
(08:00):
So in our upcoming book and I'mgoing to tell you why I call it
our right there is a momentwhere Bella, our mirror coach,
realizes she has beenemotionally absent with clients,
not because she didn't care, but because she was stretched
thin, scattered and trying tokeep up with the tech.
(08:23):
Stretched thin, scattered andtrying to keep up with the tech.
Once she let AI handle thenoise, she could finally listen
more deeply.
She stopped scripting, shestarted seeing.
That's the real power of AI Notwhat it gives you, but what it
frees you to be.
This is a new model forhuman-centered AI leadership and
(08:50):
this is what I believe in thenew, the human-centered
neuroscience of leadership.
At the end of the day, we areall human beings and once we
start treating each other assuch, leadership, team building,
even regular life will become alot better.
So here is how I define what'shuman-centered the new model of
(09:13):
human-centered AI leadership.
Use AI to enhance clarity, notcontrol.
Let neuroscience guideemotional regulation, not just
reactions.
Anchor your communication intruth, not tech trends.
When you lead this way, yourpresence becomes magnetic,
(09:38):
because in a world of noise, people follow what feels real of
noise.
People follow what feels real.
Some prompts or some ideas thatI wanna or questions that I
want to ask you when are yououtsourcing your confidence to
tools instead of trust?
(09:58):
What part of your leadershipfeels more replaceable and what
does that tell you?
How can you bring moreemotional intelligence into your
next AI conversation?
I want you to reflect on thosetill our next podcast.
I just wanted to do a shortpodcast today to bring you these
(10:20):
