Everybody Sucks a Little, Right?

Welcome to today’s episode of Ain’t That a Pitch!

Starting it all off, Raven asks us all a question that is so Raven that "That’s So Raven" should be ashamed for not thinking of something that is so Raven. With his question he tries to get his fellow ATAPers to play a little game, which, uncomfortableness aside, encourages us each to rethink both how we perceive ourselves and how we are perceived by others. Some of us are eager to play, others are a bit more reluctant, while all of us have a fun-filled chat about superlatives and where we rank within them. Or, at least, where we “think” we rank. 

Somewhere in there is a soft pitch from Brownie, which reminds us: PLEASE STOP RUBBERNECKING EVERYONE! Thank you.

Moving on, Lizette Morris, living up to her status as recently named Most Prepared, has two pitches all ready for you. First, an al á carte triathlon where the events could be chosen by the athletes or randomly selected without any of the potential participants knowing beforehand. How would this change competition within the games? What range of events could there be? How could it be used to help benefit the community? And what about eating? Come “work out” all the answers with us!

Next, Lizette pitches a travel documentary focusing on dive bars across the United States. How did each one begin? What are the ways that make each dive bar awesomely unique, yet beautifully similar? Is it ok if they disappear or do we need dive bars now more than ever? How will dive bars sustain and/or evolve in a world that seems to prefer more of a curated bar experience as opposed to one that is cheaper, dingier or disreputable. More importantly, what’s a good name for a bar filled with wacky, loveable characters set in downtown Boston? If you can think of one, Cheers! So dive on in with us, the conversation is fine.
