Welcome to Ain’t That a Pitch!
On today’s episode, Jake gets us started with a question about “pleasure delaying.” Are you the type of person who puts off experiencing something in order to keep it from ending? How can that affect how you consume television? Or films? Or books? Or candy bars? Well, get ready to find out the answers to all these questions and more. Oh, and Bryce gives us an update on his on-again, off-again relationship with Star Wars.
Raven then dons his pitching jacket once again. Ever curious with how each of us will react in a unique situation, Raven first asks the group if we’d be willing to be involved in a Living Funeral (a funeral ceremony held for someone who is still alive). Would you be interested in this kind of event? Would you be comfortable hearing what all your loved ones would have to say about you? Well, some of us would be, some of us wouldn’t, but all of us love talking about it.
For his second pitch Raven bends our minds with an idea for a podcast called “Isn’t That an Idea?” which would be a safe place for people who procrastinate to pitch ideas in the hopes of them becoming realities, but ultimately being OK with them not happening. Is this deja vu? It feels like something we’ve definitely heard of before. Well, lovette or leave it, an inspirational, meta conversation centered around an idea about ideas is exactly what we all came here for. Besides, even if it's already happened, it'll never happen.
Then, after a few updates about some previous pitches, Lizette brings it all to a close with a squeaky clean inspirational quote from Atari, Inc. and Chuck E. Cheese Pizza Time Theatre creator Nolan Bushnell.
Let’s be Facebook friends! Check us out on the ol’ FB and give us a like! And do you have Instagram? Check out our account for fun ATAP inspired art from our very own Bryce Flint-Somerville. And please feel free to drop us a line, let us know how the show is going or tell us about a pitch you have at aintthatapitchpod@gmail.com
And keep your eyes peeled for the petition we are sending around. If we get enough signatures, Raven has to audition for a play.
Thank you all so much.
Enjoy!
