This document outlines the strategy for "Meta Spark: Ignite Your Sound," a product aimed at helping musicians, particularly Gen-Z beginners.
Phase 1: Research & Strategy
The project's mission is to empower musicians' craft and community, aligning with Meta's goal of connecting people. The primary target audience is "Passionate Musicians," with a specific focus on "Beginner Passionate Musicians" from Gen-Z. Key challenges for this group include translating creative ideas into a unique sound and finding accessible creation tools. To address this, Meta Spark is built on three principles: enabling creative exploration, providing intuitive tools, and fostering early community feedback.
Phase 2: MVP Development & Launch
The initial version (MVP) focuses on two core features:
- "Sound Lab AI": A mobile-first tool for easy experimentation with sounds, melodies, and rhythms using AI suggestions.
- "First Draft Feedback Rooms": Private spaces for users to share early work with up to three friends or AI "mentors" for constructive feedback.
The primary success metrics are the weekly number of new projects started and feedback sessions completed. Key risks include the potential for generic AI suggestions and maintaining a constructive feedback environment.
Phase 3: Future Expansion
Post-launch plans include:
- "Collab Spark": An AI-driven feature to connect beginner musicians for collaborations.
- "Showcase Snippets": Tools for sharing polished creations on Meta Stories and Reels.
- "AI Sonic Weaver" (Long-term vision): An advanced AI that translates abstract concepts into musical ideas.
