Klaus P. und Dirk A. heißen eigentlich anders, aber ihr Verbrechen ist gut 30 Jahre her, deshalb erzählen wir ihre Geschichte anonymisiert. Die echten Namen der beiden stehen für eine der spektakulärsten Geiselnahmen in der Geschichte Deutschlands: Ausgehend von Stuttgart, haben die zwei Gefängnisausbrecher im Herbst 1994 auf ihrer Flucht insgesamt neun Menschen als Geiseln genommen, sind dabei durch sechs Bundesländer geirrt, haben nebenbei noch eine Bank überfallen und wurden – einmal entdeckt – von Hundertschaften der Polizei und mehreren TV-Teams verfolgt.
