Trigger Warning: This episode discusses themes of drug addiction, infant loss, death, and near death experiences.
Today's episode is special to me. I am so honored the Whitney trusted the Wonderland Community with her story! Whitney is a person in recovery, a mom, a student, and a dear friend. In this episode she shares her story with such grace and vulnerability. She is such an example to me and everyone around her. In this episode we explore her history with drug addiction, infant loss, a near death experience resulting in the loss of her arm, and losing her fiance within a few short years. We discuss how she coped, hopes she has for the future, and practical tips for navigating complex trauma and tragedy.
There is so much to be gained from hearing her story, but most of all I hope we all take her advice to truly cherish every moment we have, because we never know what could happen next.
