Welcome to Aliens? Yes! But Maybe No—the podcast absolutely no one asked for, but here we are anyway. In this very first episode, we (Travis Wright and Josh Snodgrass) stumble our way through UFOs, UAPs, and all things alien lore. Spoiler: we’re not experts. We’re just two guys with a lot of questions, a little curiosity, and zero shame in admitting we have no idea what we’re doing (yet).

We’re sharing our baseline thoughts on aliens, why UFOs might secretly be government plot twists, and what the heck a UAP even is. Think of this as your unofficial, semi-educated crash course into the weird, the unknown, and everything in between.

So, grab your tinfoil hats and join us as we awkwardly kick off the podcast you didn’t know you needed. It’s going to be a ride—hopefully one that doesn’t end with us being abducted.

Intro (00:03):
aliens aliens yes but maybe no.

Travis (00:20):
Uh, welcome to the show.
Aliens, yes, but maybe no.
I'm Travis, I'm Josh.
This is an otherworldly podcast, as ambiguous as our title.
We're a bunch of dummies.
Yeah, my relationship to aliensis one of fear and terror.
I am scared of aliens.
It scares me more than anything.

Josh (00:38):
I think that's half the people in the world, yeah, and
the other half are excited andeager, or they don't believe
that aliens exist, and thosepeople believe in ghosts and
they're dumb, are excited andeager, or they don't believe
that aliens exist, and thosepeople believe in ghosts and
they're dumb.

Travis (00:47):
Yes, I agree, I don't know.
That's that's been.
My relationship is like youbelieve in aliens or you believe
in ghosts.
There's not very many peoplethat believe in both my wife
passionately believes in both, but there's not.
That's not a huge group likethat crossover.
If there was a venn diagram ofaliens and ghosts, those
wouldn't.
There would be like a smallgroup.

(01:08):
I don't know what that lookedlike.

Josh (01:10):
It's possible they're the same thing.

Travis (01:12):
Yeah, but you get people that believe in ghosts, come at
it from like a religiousperspective and they don't think
there's anything out thereother than humans, because God
didn't create anything otherthan humans.
And so why would there be aliens?
Ghosts are just like trappedbeings here that didn't finish
their tasks.
They didn't finish their theirearth chores, and so now they're

(01:35):
stuck here until their choresare done, which is kind of like
what I do for my kids.
Yeah, you know, if they want togo to their friend's house or
they want to leave the house,I'm like, well, not until your
chores are done, and they'relike, ooh, dad, I'll be here
forever yeah.

Josh (01:49):
I haven't gotten in arguments with my wife about it,
but I don't believe in ghosts.
I don't either, and shecompletely does.
And my daughter believes inghosts and has many encounters.
Yes, I wouldn't say.
There are arguments that we gotin, but they were, uh, healthy
disputes.

Travis (02:09):
It just doesn't make sense to me do you want to do
some role playing, like, if I am, I'll play jordan.
Okay, that's my wife, that'syour wife yeah, so you'll be
jordan.

Josh (02:19):
Okay, I'll be me.
Yeah, okay, cool, I can do.
I can do that.
I can do that.

Travis (02:25):
Do you want to do a role ?

Josh (02:26):
reversal.

Travis (02:27):
I'll be I feel like I know you well enough.
I could pull you off.
You know Jordan well enough.
You could pull Jordan off, butmaybe, for the sake of this, you
be you and.
I'll be Jordan.

Josh (02:37):
Yeah, josh, yes, dear.

Travis (02:41):
I saw something crazy.

Josh (02:48):
The door closed on its own in our house.

Travis (02:53):
Okay, I think it was a ghost oh, um, are you sure this
is going really well no, I mean, that's how that would be my
reaction.

Josh (03:01):
Just sure, yeah, I'm sure, the door closed.

Travis (03:04):
Josh, what are you accusing?

Josh (03:05):
me of.
I mean, are you sure it was aghost?

Travis (03:07):
Well, were you upstairs?
No, I can see both of our kidsdown there.

Josh (03:12):
I mean it could have been anything.
I just don't you think a draft.
It could have been a draft, Ourhouse could have shifted.

Travis (03:21):
Okay, I agree it was a draft case.
Close End of argument.
No, that's not how it goes.

Josh (03:32):
Oh, that's how it should go.
So I don't think the God of alot of these religions would
give up and or give power tosomeone who's no longer living,
cause.
I mean, it seems as though wegive these ghosts, or we we
think these ghosts have a lot ofauthority and power to be able
to do all these things.
What did they do to deservethat and it it's also not a
deserving?
Maybe it depends punishment.

Travis (03:51):
If you were to watch like uh, amityville murder.
Murder happened or suicide isusually what it's centered
around.
Yeah, right, or a child thatwas killed and now that child
becomes vengeful because youknow it's a child and it was its
life was taken away from it.

Josh (04:09):
And they were given powers beyond what humans have.

Travis (04:13):
Yeah, telekinesis yeah.

Josh (04:15):
But why?
Hey, I don't know, I don't,that's what I'm saying.
I don't know.
It doesn't make sense.
Why can they go through walls?

Travis (04:21):
Yeah, why can they go through walls?
Yeah, why can they go throughwalls?

Josh (04:23):
Yeah, exactly, and that goes into like maybe it is
aliens.
If we talk about aliens on amultidimensional plane, maybe
we're just folding into spaceand maybe it's not ghosts, maybe
it's an alternate dimensionweaving into itself.

Travis (04:38):
Well then, maybe that's not aliens, maybe that's just an
alternate.
Yeah, maybe it's like quantummechanics, is what we're getting
into.

Josh (04:45):
It could be that it's very possible.
So maybe it isn't spiritualwhich would still make them
wrong.

Travis (04:50):
No, it would still make them wrong.
You're right.
But when you don't have anexplanation for something, what
do you do?

Josh (04:55):
you rely on something that's very comfortable and then
it's usually angry and I takeit out on everyone around me the
same.

Travis (05:03):
I think that's a very human response.
Yeah, but also consider, like, what people are comfortable with
, and that is religion.
That's like the basis of a lotof communities, and when you
don't understand something, you're going to attribute it to
supernatural.
Supernatural, like all thingscome from god, or or whatever.
With god, all things arepossible or impossible, or

(05:24):
whatever it is you know, that'swhat gives answer to a lot of
the unanswerable for people.

Josh (05:30):
Yeah, I agree.
It's the faith that you can putyour trust in.
Sure, you know so you.
You don't have to fear.

Travis (05:38):
It's easy and it's comfortable to just say that
it's yeah that it's religious, that say that it's yeah, that
it's religious, that that was mygrandpa who came here and made
me feel warm when I was sad.
Yeah, I mean, that would be thewhole reason that could have
just been.
You pee your pants.

Josh (05:51):
What I don't know that could be the whole reason, or I
think that is the whole reasonof psychics.
You know, they take advantageof people and make them feel
good.
We are going to be talkingabout ghosts at some point.
I would imagine it'll come inand out Anything supernatural at
some point.

Travis (06:11):
I agree.
So this is the first podcast.
If you are listening to this,it is by choice.
I assume you just plugged intoyour little search bar aliens
and then this came up because ithas aliens in the title.
So we are still trying tofigure out what exactly our show
is about, to give you guys alittle bit of a background.
I know almost nothing aboutaliens other than like how

(06:32):
they're portrayed in movies andTV.
They're very interesting to meas an idea, but I haven't got
caught up in a lot of theconspiracies and the lore of
aliens, aliens just yet.
I am kind of navigating my waythrough this with Josh as my
guide, his lovely partner Jordan, who is kind of helping direct

(06:54):
me through the landscape ofalien lore and, I guess, a lore
too many times.
It's okay, you take this out inpost yeah, or double it, double
yeah.

Josh (07:05):
I could just add more more lords, thank you for saying I'm
your guide, uh, on this thisestablishes some clear
guidelines and a path for me.

Travis (07:15):
I can be as lazy about this as possible and now all the
work is yeah I.

Josh (07:20):
The funny thing is is I don't know much, but I have a
lot of curiosity and excitementabout the ideas and I don't
necessarily believe everything Ihear, but I don't discount it.
I.
I just get excited or wonderwhat if?
Or if this is true, then whatabout this?

(07:41):
And especially with a lot ofthe the news as of late, with
some of these whistleblowerscoming out and finding out about
a lot of crazy things, it's uh,it is exciting.

Travis (07:52):
Just hopefully they don't kill us hopefully yes,
hopefully they don't kill so.
So what news are you talkingabout?

Josh (07:57):
you're talking about, like , the acknowledgement that
aliens, or at least I think themain thing is is uh, I'm not a
good guide, I don't know.
Okay, I I think it's aboutalien technologies, uh, being
reverse engineered by somescientists, and these
whistleblowers are comingforward.

Travis (08:15):
There's been a ton of podcasts, not a lot of news
about it yeah, so hopefully withthis podcast then we will have
like sources and names and sowe're not going to be saying
like there's a ton of news outthere.
We'll say we'll cite specificthings.

Josh (08:28):
Yes, absolutely.
We're not going to misinform.
As best as we can, we're goingto try to get facts, but we're
also going to give our opinions, which, if you, take it you
could be misinformed, which Ihope my opinions on some of
these things change.

Travis (08:41):
I hope that my my mind is broadened and is opened up?

Josh (08:45):
Yeah, that'd be phenomenal .
I mean, people have beendocumenting aliens and cryptids
and government conspiracies fordecades and I recently heard one
guy who came out in like the80s or 90s, who worked at the
Pentagon.
I don't even remember his name.
Everything that he has said hasbeen true so far.

Travis (09:04):
We're going to need some documentation on that.
You're going to need to citeyour.

Josh (09:06):
Oh, we're going to do a whole episode on him.

Travis (09:08):
Okay.

Josh (09:09):
But this is just just an exciting things that I'm just
like the curiosity and dippinginto it.
I don't know a lot.
You know nothing other thanwhat Hollywood has shown you,
which I believe.

Travis (09:19):
Hollywood is showing us, showing us, here we go.
No, this is.
This is where Josh says thecrazy thing.

Josh (09:25):
I think Hollywood is preparing us, so you may
actually know more than youthink.
Okay, I think the higher ups ingovernment are working with
Hollywood to prepare us so thatwhen something big does happen,
we are not shocked ordesensitized somewhat.

Travis (09:42):
Which we saw.
What last year year, two yearsago, when tom the long said that
aliens are real and thegovernment was like, yeah,
they're real, but there was somuch going on, we were like in
the middle of a lockdown andthat was the least surprising
thing that happened that year Ithink most people were like
either yeah, we know or no, it'snot, that's just the government
lying.

Josh (10:01):
Yeah, because I mean they didn't any proof, but that's the
thing is the government'swanting the information.
It's the military that'sholding this information from
everyone, including thegovernment, which is strange.
It is strange so, you nothaving any knowledge about
aliens, have you everexperienced anything?
I don't think so.

(10:22):
Anything supernatural, anything.

Travis (10:26):
No, nothing, nothing that I can, nothing that I can
recall.
Okay.

Josh (10:29):
Which I think is fairly normal.
Yeah, I've only had one strangeencounter.
I was driving and we were inWashington state and me and
another person looked up and wesaw a shooting star and then it
kind of dinged off of.
It looked like a pinball thing, like it just went crazy, the
shooting star, which is not whatshooting stars do they don't

(10:50):
zigzag and do all this stuff andthen it just went away.
It was a five second thing andwe didn't think of anything of
it until I started watching someshows and learning some stuff
and I was like, oh, that wasprobably a UAP or a UFO.
What is a UAP?
It is a unidentified aerialphenomenon, got it?
People started using that terminstead of UFO because of the

(11:17):
negative stigma around UFO.
And so, yeah, uaps are in thesky.
There's the SAPs, maybesubmerged, I don't know, because
there's the underwater.
I'd have to learn that too.
We could do a whole episode onthat.

Travis (11:29):
That is more scary to me than space.

Josh (11:31):
Yeah, I mean we have documentation and video footage
of ships underwater Likeunidentified submerged
phenomenon.
Yeah, I don't like that at all,and both they have some that
are underwater and then come outof the water.

Travis (11:46):
Yeah Well, how do you get under the water, if not in
the air, into the water?
I don't know.
I don't know either.
So the way I'm approaching thisis like from a philosophical
standpoint Okay, the universe isever expanding, and has been
since the Big Bang.
It is getting bigger and biggerand bigger.

(12:07):
I think that it is naive toassume that we are the only
organisms in our universe, inour galaxy, within the cosmos,
to exist.
I think that's pretty naive andI also think it's very vain.
Yes, absolutely.
To live in a world.
It's terrifying more terrifyingto me to think that we are alone
in this than it is to thinkthat it would be very sad but

(12:29):
also very scary, like knowingwhat's going on on planet earth
and like the wars and stuff thatwe're having here.
Uh, I can't remember what comicsaid this.
He does like college humor.
He did batman pete, uh holmes,I think.
He says you think that it's bad?
Here we'll zoom out and you'rejust, you're flying on a piece
of dirt in the middle of space.

(12:50):
Yeah, so if people could havethat kind of perspective.
You know that we're all here onthis planet, we're a human
population.
We need to learn how to getalong, because we are either
alone or because we are veryspecific to this rock like this
environment.
We should learn how to getalong, but all we need is
perspective.
That's where I'm coming at fromthis.

Josh (13:12):
I agree with everything you said.
I'm not coming at it in thatway.

Travis (13:15):
I just haven't seen anything to prove or disprove it
, I'm just thinking.

Josh (13:19):
Like it just makes sense.

Travis (13:21):
Like you said, how sad would it be if we were the only
living things within thevastness of space and time.

Josh (13:28):
Well and then?
But also how scary it is.
Yeah, your fear comes from onlyknowing one kind of life form.
Sure, and they're violent.
Yeah, you know like.
So if there's other life forms, they're probably going to kick
my ass just like humans, yeah, just like a human would.

Travis (13:44):
And so that's the perspective I have here as a
human is like well, these aliens, of course they have to be
violent in nature and they'rehere to take over.

Josh (13:52):
But that could be the whole reason.
We haven't been introduced yet, right, because we are violent.
Yeah, that's a possibility.

Travis (13:59):
Sure, or they're just benevolent observers and they're
just looking at you know, thiscivilization here and wondering
how it's going to play out andwhen is the best time to step in
.
It's like if you watch a streetfight and you want to break it
up, but you also don't want toget hurt too bad, so you're
waiting for that break whenthey're tired, and then you're
like, okay, now break it up.
Maybe that's whatextraterrestrials are like.

Josh (14:20):
They're like we're gonna wait until it's like kind of
calm and everybody's catchingtheir breath, and that's when
we're gonna come down andpresent ourselves and we're
gonna introduce humankind tosomething else, something
completely different newtechnology, a new way of
thinking or whatever since youdon't't know much and, like I
said, I don't know a lot eitherI just hear about this from
shows or conversations withpeople it sounds like there's a

(14:42):
lot of different kinds of aliens, and there might be a
benevolent one that is watchingus.
There's also another one thatis in contact with us, that is
helping us.
There's one that uses Earth asa vacation spot.
There are ones that areabducting people and doing
experiments.

Travis (14:59):
Some that are maybe trying to blow up Earth to make
way for an intergalactic highway.
Yes, bring your towel.

Josh (15:06):
It's a good movie yeah, it's good.
It's a good book too.
Yeah, I never read the book, but that's the thing is like it
could be all of them.
Aliens yes, maybe.
Yeah them aliens?

Travis (15:20):
yes, maybe maybe no or no, I don't know.
Maybe we have one or two ofthem right and the other ones
we've just made up.
Sure, I mean, humans are humansare weird.
They are weird.
This is going to be aninteresting journey just to try
to figure out where my beliefsfall, and I'm looking forward to
trying uh my idea of what, what, uh, an extraterrestrial is.
Is that even the rightterminology?
Am I even saying things right?
I don't know.
I'm uh, I'm excited about it,excited about where this is

(15:43):
gonna go, and we're gonna have alot of opinions yes, and I I
don't know.

Josh (15:47):
I don't remember if I talked about where I'm coming in
from.
I'm coming in, not like you, where you're sad and afraid.
That's fair, yeah.

Travis (15:59):
That does totally describe them A very sad and
afraid man.

Josh (16:02):
Yeah, I'm going to be coming in completely believing,
open-minded to the things that Imay find skeptical, but eager
to just get the big picture ofeverything, cause there's a lot
of information, a lot ofcategories and maybe through,
just like you said, maybethrough all of this we can get

(16:23):
excited and get a big pictureand maybe put together some
things that make sense for usthat maybe people haven't
thought of yet Because we'redifferent minds coming in on
this.
We're not experts.

Travis (16:35):
To be clear, I am coming in this as a little baby, a
dumb little baby, and I'm atoddler, and Josh is just barely
ahead of me, I guess, developmentally In some areas.

Josh (16:46):
Yeah, I just want everyone to know.
We have no expertise, none.

Travis (16:50):
So if you're listening to this and wanting to, If
you're looking to get somethingout of this, stay tuned, because
we're gonna.
We're figuring this out on ourown.
Yeah, um, because this is soearly in our recording process,
we, uh, we don't have any way tocontact us for you to give us
notes on the show, but that willbe coming probably with our

(17:11):
second episode, I'm sure, or wemight not even air this one, and
we might air it, yeah, infuture as a bonus episode Go
fuck yourselves, you guys, orit'll be in the documentary when
we get abducted or taken out bythe men in black, kind of like
Grizzly man, where you just hearthe audio file of somebody
getting attacked by a bear.

Josh (17:29):
Yeah, this is it, this is our legacy.

Travis (17:32):
Oh boy.
Yeah, this is what we remember, kind of like if you're hearing
this podcast, then that meansI'm dead it's the last will and
testament, oh man uh, sarah, uh,of course, everything I leave
to you.
Uh, you were too good for meyeah, jordan, what he said, take
care.

Josh (17:50):
I know you'll take care of the dogs.

Travis (17:51):
You're gonna do great on your own even.

Josh (17:54):
Yeah, I'm on the same page as you.

Travis (17:57):
My wife will thrive once I'm gone, afraid to say that my
own vanities keep me fromsaying just that.
But it's, it's implied, yeah.

Josh (18:08):
I'm holding her back, All right Well thank you for
listening.

Travis (18:13):
If this sounds like it sucks, don't worry, it's going
to rule.

Josh (18:15):
Yeah.

Travis (18:15):
This podcast is going to be a lot better as we go
forward.

Josh (18:18):
We'll get a little more organized.
We'll have stories.
This was just kind of anintroduction, but we'll have
topics and stories and theories, and I'm excited to travel the
cosmos with you.

Travis (18:30):
Oh boy.

Josh (18:30):
Yeah, I've been holding on to that.

Travis (18:32):
That's good, thank, that's good, thank you.
So, josh, to establish abaseline of where we are with
aliens, like how much we know, like how much we know, just so
people can kind of get an ideaof where we're at with aliens.
I looked up this quiz online.
I haven't looked at any of theanswers.

(18:52):
Okay, so we're going to takethis quiz.
We're going to see how it plays, hopefully.
Well, is it a real quiz?
Like it's legitimate questions?
Yeah, there's tests and if you,if we fail this quiz, then we
also fail out of podcasting andwe have to give it up okay, so
the stakes are pretty high.

Josh (19:07):
Yeah, no, I'm I'm not confident, but so what we're
gonna do is is it like movies, Idon't know.

Travis (19:14):
So the quiz is.
It's titled take this quizabout aliens and entertainment
and show us what you know aboutUFOs.

Josh (19:19):
Oh, in entertainment.

Travis (19:20):
So it could be about who knows who knows.
I mean, entertainment is broad, right, yeah, so I'm going to
hit this button that says startthe quiz.
Let's do it, okay, and thenwhat we're going to do is we're
just going to hand my ready.
Yeah, okay, this is gonna befun, I hope, or, or it's gonna
blow up in our faces.

(19:40):
Yeah, we may lose ourconfidence.
Uh, don't open anything inincognito mode, please.
What?
Uh, it'll be, uh, very tellingwhat is that wait?

Josh (19:46):
what are you talking about , uh?

Travis (19:48):
uh, uh, it's too late.
I I hit start this quiz.
Okay, question one let's go forjosh blank.
The martian first appeared inthe 1948 bugs bunny cartoon hair
, devil hair, oh, marvin, oh, ifI scroll down, I'm gonna,
you're gonna, get options,marvin.
Okay, so the options are amarvin yeah I felt like you're

(20:09):
leaning pretty heavy on that.
Yeah, no, I know marvin themartian, or is it b michael the
martian?
I saw space jam.
Is it malcolm c the Martian?

Josh (20:15):
I saw Space.

Travis (20:16):
Jam.
Is it Malcolm C the Martian orD Maverick the Martian?
Maverick sounds cool.
Maverick sounds cool.

Josh (20:23):
But it is.

Travis (20:24):
Marvin Marvin, okay, okay, you got it correct, good
job, thank you.

Josh (20:29):
Next question Directed by sci-fi master Tim Burton.
What 1996 comedy features thealiens in this photo?
You don't even need to see thephoto, do you?

Travis (20:39):
mars attacks yeah but uh , for the audience, why don't
you describe what's happening inthe photo?
Because this is an audio form.
This, let's see if I can okayso let's take away let's take
away everything that I knowabout mars attacks, and you're
going to describe this and I'mgoing to see if I can come up
with Mars attacks based on yourdescription.
So what are you looking at?

Josh (21:00):
Three aliens in shiny spandex, green spandex.
Their heads are very large andyou can see their brain, and
they have laser guns.
That's I mean what else?

Travis (21:15):
What color is color?
Is their brain green?
And what does their face looklike?
Do they look happy or theirface?

Josh (21:19):
their faces, they look maniacal maniacal huge eyes like
they think it's a joke andthey're just having fun no, uh
like they just took a lot ofcocaine and they're mad about it
.
Because their eyes are huge, they're mad about taking and

(21:39):
they have very skull-like faces, okay, but with a huge brain,
yeah.
So what do you think that is?
Let me give you some options.
Okay?
Mars attacks, planet of theapes, frankenweenie.

Travis (21:53):
Beetlejuice, that would be good.
It's Mars Attacks, obviously.

Josh (21:59):
Yes.

Travis (22:00):
Josh, this is question three on the questionnaire, but
this is your second question.
Okay, what Steven Spielbergfilm includes a man named Roy
Neary from Indiana and UFOs thatmake distinctive sounds?
Do you want to hear someoptions?

Josh (22:15):
Yeah, my first thought was contact, but I don't let me
hear options okay, uh well, contact is robert zemeckis okay
is it a?
Et the extraterrestrial btersof the Third Kind yeah it's

(22:38):
Close Encounters.

Travis (22:39):
Okay, let's click on that.
Oh, you got it right Yay.

Josh (22:43):
Correct.
This is the last one, what?
And then we're going to findsome actual alien ones, and I'm
sure they're there.
Go, I'm sure they're there, go.
These peaceful greenextraterrestrials are from the
2009 computer animated sci-ficomedy film Planet Blank, and

(23:05):
I'll show you the picture.
Okay, a 51.
, b 22.
C 21.
Or D 87.

Travis (23:26):
c21 or d87.
Um, I'm gonna have to say 51,because that number has
significance as meanings inalien communities, all right,
yeah, because of area 51, yeah, area which we'll probably do an
episode on.
Nice segue.

Josh (23:37):
Thank you, yep, that's correct.

Travis (23:40):
Good job, so this is fun .
Is this a fun segment?

Josh (23:43):
It is fun.
I want real alien quiz though.

Travis (23:47):
Oh, you want something like this, that's fun.
You want a real one, that'sboring.

Josh (23:50):
No, I just want to know how dumb we are on a podcast
about what we're taking tests on.

Travis (23:57):
Okay.
So I found another website.
This gives us a list ofcategories.
I'm going to read thesecategories off and you're going
to tell me if it's a categorythat you're interested in, and
then there will be a round ofquestions relating to that
category.
Okay, makes sense.

Josh (24:15):
Yeah, I was looking while you were looking and there's a
bunch of quizzes about the moviealiens.
No like, am I an alien quiz?
Oh, shit.

Travis (24:26):
Yeah, do you want to do that one instead?
Am I an alien?
I think I'm not.

Josh (24:31):
So I think I'll take that in private because, if I am, I
feel like this could expose meand I don't want any backlash.

Travis (24:39):
Just like all those am I gay questionnaires that you
take?
Yeah, those are.
You find a lot out aboutyourself.
Those are just for fun.
Okay, so these are thecategories.
Close encounters with anotherkind.
Is it a bird, is it a plane?
So those are two categoriesthere.
Third one the legendary Roswellincident, explaining the

(25:01):
unexplained UFOs, which we'vealready established is archaic
terminology.

Josh (25:08):
Yeah, you can still use it , but UAPs is more modern and
precise.

Travis (25:13):
Okay, roswell UFO crash, seti, the search for
extraterrestrial intelligence.
So which category will I bepicking from?
Oh, oh, wait, there's more.
Oh, aliens and UFOs.

Josh (25:26):
That would be a good one.

Travis (25:27):
Wins from other worlds.
They're here.
So those three.
Let's do aliens?
Aliens and UFOs?
Yeah, great, let's establish abaseline.
Yeah, okay, at 14 10, which Ionly I can assume is going to be
2 10 pm.
Yeah, 14 10.
On the 5th of december 1945,five tbm avengers comprising

(25:51):
flight 19 left fort lauderdale, florida, and disappeared in this
area.

Josh (25:56):
The Bermuda Triangle.

Travis (25:58):
I assume you're right.
It is not giving me an answer.
So, maybe there's an answer atthe end.
That's the thing with theseonline questionnaires.
Am I right?
Okay, All right.

Josh (26:11):
This is the name commonly given to the small aliens with
large heads, large dark eyes andlittle or no hair.
Is it greys, non-earth-bornhumans, martians or Syrians?
Syrians.

Travis (26:27):
Like from Syria.
Greys, is it a greys?

Josh (26:32):
I'll push it, it's not giving the answer, but you are
correct.

Travis (26:37):
Well, I mean you're the expert.
I mean you're the toddler, I'mthe baby.
It's not giving the answer, butyou are correct.
Well, I mean you're the expert.
I mean you're the toddler, I'mthe baby.

Josh (26:41):
All right, we'll hand off the device, okay.

Travis (26:45):
Begun on December 30th 1947 and lasting only 15 months,
this project, later to becomeProject Grudge, was the first
official attempt by the militaryto investigate the UFO
phenomena.
Hmm, is it Blue Book?
Is it Saucer Rapture or SignS-I-G-N?

Josh (27:11):
It is Project Blue Book.

Travis (27:14):
Um no, it crossed off Project Blue Book and Um no, it
crossed off Project Blue Bookand Saucer.
So your two options left areRapture and Sign.
I'm going to say Rapture, thiskind of sucks.
It doesn't give you an answer.
This is so frustrating.

Josh (27:30):
So I think if you get it correct, there we go, rapture.
Then it highlights it in orange.

Travis (27:33):
Yeah, okay, well, rapture.
Then it highlights it in orange.

Josh (27:37):
Yeah.

Travis (27:37):
Okay, well, rapture is correct, then Hopefully.

Josh (27:40):
Hopefully All right.
Next question Don't forget, youasked for this.
No, this is great.
So, travis, on September 19th1961.

Travis (27:49):
Okay, this couple it was a good year, good vintage.

Josh (27:57):
This couple from Portsmouth, new Hampshire,
claimed to be abducted by alienswhile traveling home from
vacation in Canada on US Route 3near the village of Lancaster.
They claimed an object hoveredover their car and then they
heard a sound like a tuning forkwhich caused them to fall
asleep.
When they awoke, they were inAshland, nearly two hours away.
Is there a question?
It's this couple.
Okay, so is the couple's nameBob and Doris Smith, betty and

(28:22):
Barney Hill.
God damn it.
Susan and Henry Fletcher.
This is awful.
Nancy and Max Popovich.

Travis (28:32):
What was it, bob and Nancy Hill?
Was that two?

Josh (28:36):
Bob and Doris Smith and Betty and Barney Hill.

Travis (28:40):
That seems good to me, I like that.
Yeah, Betty and Barney.
I like the alliteration of that.
I do too.

Josh (28:47):
I clicked it and nothing happened.
Click on the hints.

Travis (28:50):
This is engaging podcasting, by the way.

Josh (28:53):
It says you get three hints per quiz.
You're all out of hints.
What Didn't podcasting, by theway?
It says you get three hints perquiz.
You're all out of hints.
What didn't you only use onehint, I used two.

Travis (28:59):
I just kept clicking hints weird on yours and it
crossed out two of them.

Josh (29:03):
Maybe at the end there's a summary oh, there's all the
answers down on the bottom.

Travis (29:07):
There's 10 questions perfect we're at four right,
we're on five, so you're gonnaread five to me as you scrolled
through all the questions and,uh, got an idea of what's coming
.
I didn't.
Congratulations, you are a podcheater.
On June 30th Josh of 1908,something exploded here, eight

(29:27):
kilometers above the ground anddestroying nearly everything for
about 2,150 square kilometers.
It is still unknown what thatsomething was.
Jeez, okay, so these are justgeographical places.
Okay, so I'm going to listthese off.
Okay, tunguska, to list theseoff.
Okay, tunguska, or Tunguska, tunguska, I have no idea.

(29:47):
Excuse me for the pronunciationof that.
I am really sorry.
I am reading that for the firsttime.
Crater Lake.
Maybe, Arizona, the state, blueMountains, the geographical
region.

Josh (30:03):
Oh man, well, Crater Lake lake.
I feel like I haven't beenthere, but I feel like they know
what happened.
I think it was a crater, okay,or a volcano.
I think it's a volcano, sure?
Um, I can't be the entire stateof Arizona.
Blue Mountain.
I think that's still there.

(30:25):
So I'm going to say the firstone.

Travis (30:29):
The unpronounceable Tunguska, tunguska.
Yeah man, I feel bad eventrying to pronounce that.

Josh (30:36):
Yeah.
Okay so the next question.
I didn't read it by the way,the name given to the objects
cited by military pilots duringthe second world war is these
bogeys, rods, foo fightersunknowns.
I believe it's foo fighters isthat your final answer?

Travis (30:57):
I don't know.
I'm gonna say foo fighters.
I don't know if that's right,but I feel like dave grohl kind
of based.
I'd like I don't know if that'sright, but I feel like Dave
Grohl kind of based his band offof that.
That sounds right.
Foo Fighters.

Josh (31:08):
All right, I put Foo Fighters Final answer.

Travis (31:10):
Final answer.

Josh (31:11):
Josh.

Travis (31:11):
On June 24th 1947, this Idaho businessman observed nine
shiny objects weaving in and outof the Cascade Mountain Range
near Mount Rainier in the stateof Washington.

Josh (31:25):
Okay.

Travis (31:26):
Is this person?
Kenneth Arnold, Charles Carroll, George F Shulgin, Bob Lazor
Lazor Hmm, I hope it's LazorL-A-Z-O-R.
I feel like that's a name thatwe should know.
I don't know, but I like it.
Is that an a name that weshould know?

Josh (31:42):
I don't know, but I like it.

Travis (31:43):
What's the ancient alien guy's name?
Is that what you want, bobLazor?
Okay, locked in Alright.

Josh (31:55):
Next question Located near Groom Lake, Nevada, this secret
military installation Isbelieved to be home to an actual
alien aircraft.
Is it NORAD Nellis AFB, Area 51, or Tonopah Research Lab?

Travis (32:13):
Okay, so I believe it's Area 51, but because NORAD's not
a region, what was B Nellis AFBAir Force Base and what is it?
We're looking for A spacecraft.

Josh (32:26):
The home of an actual alien aircraft.

Travis (32:29):
I'm going to say B or C, so it's either the Air Force
Base or Area 51.
And I'm going to say Area 51because I'm a new dumb baby and
that is the region that pops upright into my brain.

Josh (32:43):
Let's find out okay wow, edger seat trivia.

Travis (32:47):
November 5th 1975, this logger was supposedly abducted
by a ufo while his friendswatched what the?
Fuck.
His story is the basis for themovie Fire in the Sky.
Oh, personal connection here.
Travis Walton, ooh, sameinitials as me, yeah, dwayne

(33:08):
Smith, mike Rogers, alan DallasI think it's the first one oh,
tw.

Josh (33:15):
Yeah, Travis Walton, that just sounds right.
It does sound right.
So last question In July of1947, a UFO crashed near this
town in New Mexico.
According to reports, thebodies of several aliens were
found near the ship.
The army reported to have aflying disc in its possession
and later changed its story, claiming it was just a weather
balloon.
The town we're looking for thename of the town.

(33:36):
Is it Snowflake, Alamogordo,Roswell or Santa Fe?

Travis (33:43):
I'm going to say Roswell , because you kind of leaned on
it Then you gave me a winky face, Then you pointed at the phone
and said this is the one.
But you mouthed yeah, I'm goingto go with Roswell.
I didn't do any of that.

Josh (33:54):
Well, prove me wrong, I can't.
We're not famous enough to havea film crew, so I clicked
Roswell.
I've never even heard of that.
No, I'm kidding, I'm going tohand this back to you and you
can look.

Travis (34:06):
It looks like we've got a score of five out of 10.
Okay, we're guessed 185.
I don't know what that means.
So the first one.
This was to Josh.
At 1410 on December 5th 1945,five TBM Avengers compr Flight
19, left Fort Lauderdale anddisappeared in this area.
Josh correctly said the BermudaTriangle.

(34:28):
Yeah, my question.
This is a name commonly givento the small aliens with large
heads, large dark eyes andlittle or no hair.
The answer to that is, ofcourse, grey's Blah, blah, blah,
I got that one right.
Begun on December 30th.
This is question three to Josh.
1947 and lasting only 15 months, this project, later to become
Project Grudge, was the firstofficial attempt by the military

(34:50):
to investigate the UFOphenomena.
This was Project Sign S-I-G-N.
Oh man, september 19th 1961,this couple from Portsmouth, new
Hampshire we all know and lovethem.
They are, of course, betty andBarney Hill.
You got it right, I got itright.
Wow, just based on the sound oftheir name.
Love it, I do too.

(35:11):
June 30th 1908.
Something exploded here, eightkilometers above the ground and
destroying nearly.
It seems like we're doingpretty good Because you had
guessed the geographical area ofTunguska.
Yeah, because you had guessedthe geographical area of
Tunguska.
Yeah, that is correct what Ideduced.
Yeah, this is in Russia.
Oh wow, russian fur tradershappened to glance into the

(35:33):
southeastern Siberian sky.
That fateful morning must havebeen startled to see a fireball
streaking through the atmospheretoward their trading post of
Vanavara and leaving a trail oflight some 800 kilometers long.
Wow, right Name given to theobject sighted by military
pilots and leaving a trail oflight some 800 kilometers long.
Wow, all right Name given tothe object sighted by military
pilots during the Second WorldWar.
You said Foo.

Josh (35:48):
Fighters, foo Fighters is correct, jeez.

Travis (35:51):
So did we get the rest wrong?
I mean okay, so here's a wrongone.
I believe On June 24th 1947,this Idaho businessman observed
nine shiny objects weaving inand out of the cascade.

Josh (36:00):
You said, Travis Walton, yeah, shiny objects weaving in
and out of the cascade.
You said travis walton.
Yeah, kenneth arnold.
You know we might eventuallyknow all these answers if we
keep this up located near groomlake nevada.

Travis (36:11):
The secret area military installation is believed to be
home to actual alien aircraft.
Area 51 did I say that or did?

Josh (36:19):
I you said, area 51 feels like we got more than five,
right?

Travis (36:22):
oh no, travis walton, you did get that one right,
because, travis walton, hisstory is based on fire in the
sky.
So you got that.
Seems like we got a hundredpercent.
I don't know why I said androswell, uh, for 10 july of 1947
, ufo crashed near this town innew mexico.
According to reports of bodies,of several aliens found near
the ship uh roswell.
Of course roswell okay, well wedidn't.

(36:43):
Do you feel good like?

Josh (36:44):
I mean, yeah, I feel like we didn't actually know the
answers.

Travis (36:49):
We just I feel like we paid the door fee to get into
this party.
Like yeah what's it called whenyou go into a club cover charge
?
That's it.
Yeah, we.

Josh (36:57):
We just paid the cover charge to get in yeah, I'm
actually now more excited to dothe show because I know, as we
go through the topics and thenews and all this stuff, we will
know and hear and learn aboutall this and we will be writing
these quizzes.

Travis (37:14):
That would be great.
Yeah, Well, maybe more triviato come.
As you know, episodes go along.
We'll see.
Like I said, we're stillestablishing what this podcast
is going to be about.

Josh (37:24):
Yeah, and we'll do it better next time.
We'll do it better, we'll havethe answers right away.

Travis (37:28):
We won't be second-guessing a website.
I mean, that's part of the funof this is not knowing anything
about it and just randomlyfinding a website and then going
through the questions.
I think that was kind of fun, alright, all right.
