Josh (00:03):
Aliens?
Travis (00:04):
Aliens.
Josh (00:05):
Aliens.
Travis (00:07):
Yes.
But maybe no.
Well, well, well.
Look who decided to come back.
To aliens, yes, but maybe no.
I'm Travis.
I'm Josh.
(00:27):
And this is anotherworldlypodcast as ambiguous as our
title.
So, welcome back.
We haven't done a show in along time.
The listener won't know that wetook a break.
Right.
Josh (00:36):
Because we're still
releasing on normal visual.
We're pros.
Travis (00:39):
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Josh (00:40):
Well, you are.
Travis (00:41):
Kind of.
No, God, no.
Josh (00:44):
It's been so long, I don't
remember what our last topic
was.
Travis (00:47):
Crop circles.
Josh (00:49):
No.
Travis (00:51):
Was it Battle Aliens?
Was that the last one we did?
Josh (00:54):
No.
Oh, was it?
Travis (00:56):
I think it was Battle
Aliens.
Josh (00:57):
It was Battle Aliens,
where you made that song.
Travis (00:59):
Yeah.
Banger.
Yeah.
Banger of a song.
That I absolutely rememberdoing.
Josh (01:03):
Mm-hmm.
That was 100%.
Travis (01:05):
Uh-huh.
Josh (01:06):
Yeah, Battle Aliens.
That was a hard one for me.
Travis (01:08):
Yeah.
Do you remember how it turnedout?
Who won?
Josh (01:11):
Like between you and me.
Travis (01:12):
I what alien?
You won.
No, what alien?
What alien?
Josh (01:15):
The one that had the
control of space and time.
Travis (01:19):
Oh, the sexy one.
Josh (01:20):
Well, they're all sexy.
Travis (01:21):
Yeah, they are.
Josh (01:22):
No, we had our researcher,
Jordan, on, and she hosted a
bracket style challenge ofdifferent alien species, and we
pitted them against each otherin our imaginations and used our
words to argue who would win.
It was really fun.
It was fun having a anotherperson on.
It was fun.
Travis (01:41):
Yeah, our first guest.
Josh (01:42):
Yeah.
Travis (01:43):
We'll never be able to
have another guest on again
because she did such a good job.
Josh (01:46):
Yeah, she ruined guests
for us.
Travis (01:48):
Yeah.
So sorry guys.
If you want to be on the show, too bad.
Jordan, you can thank Jordanfor it.
Josh (01:52):
Yeah.
Maybe someday when we're notlearning anymore.
I imagine if we do this for 10years.
Travis (01:58):
Once the glow has faded.
Josh (02:00):
Or due.
Travis (02:01):
Yeah.
Once we've forgotten how greatthat was, then maybe we'll have
another guest.
Yeah.
Probably not gonna happenanytime soon.
Or maybe.
Josh (02:07):
Maybe.
I don't know.
I don't know what's going on.
Travis (02:09):
Yeah.
Josh (02:09):
At the end of Battle
Aliens episode, we did a quiz
for something we hadn't heard ofcalled Valiant Thor.
Travis (02:18):
Uh-huh.
The comic book character.
Josh (02:20):
Thor?
Travis (02:21):
Uh-huh.
This is like uh kinder version.
What does Valiant mean?
Uh noble?
A valiant steam?
I know he's a prince.
Josh (02:29):
Thor?
Travis (02:29):
Valiant.
Prince Valiant.
Josh (02:31):
Prince Valiant?
Is he a prince?
Travis (02:32):
Yeah.
Josh (02:32):
I don't know.
We'll we'll find out.
Are you talking about Princethe Singer?
Was an alien?
Travis (02:39):
Uh-huh.
Josh (02:40):
Wow, this is this is
getting crazy.
Travis (02:42):
Yeah.
It's because this is a wildstory we're gonna tell.
Josh (02:46):
Most of what we've talked
about is wild.
Well, let's get into, or do wehave any other announcements?
Travis (02:52):
So yes, we do.
This is our last in-personrecord.
I am moving to another state.
So this is sad.
A state of what?
Uh mind.
Josh (03:04):
Oh, good for you.
I'm proud of you.
Travis (03:06):
But it's a sad day, so
uh it is.
You know, we're sitting in aroom, we're gonna be talking
about this thing, and we'regonna be sipping on a little bit
of whiskey.
Josh (03:14):
Yep.
Or a lot.
Travis (03:16):
Or a lot, depending on
how this goes.
Josh (03:18):
Yeah.
Travis (03:18):
I don't think it'll be
our forever last in person, but
as far as phase one of ourpodcast is concerned.
Josh (03:24):
Yeah, but we will continue
doing it.
We'll just have to do it overthe internet.
Travis (03:29):
Which is how you're
hearing this podcast.
Josh (03:32):
It's true.
Travis (03:33):
Over the internet.
So we're going total digital.
Josh (03:35):
Which most podcasts are
done that way.
Yeah.
It'll take little adjusting,but I think we'll do it.
I mean, we used to talk on thephone for hours every day,
preparing for someday.
Travis (03:43):
Preparing for a podcast.
Josh (03:44):
Yeah.
Who'd have thought?
I didn't.
So yeah, those areannouncements.
Valiant Thor is not a prince.
Travis (03:50):
He's not from Asgard.
But he is not from this world.
That is true.
He's not the singer Prince, although maybe Prince is an
alien.
I don't know.
He was.
Josh (04:00):
I assume.
He was very strange.
Travis (04:02):
His love of purple.
That should have tippedeverybody off.
Josh (04:04):
Let's not do Valiant Thor.
Let's just do an episode onPrince.
Yeah.
Hooray.
Purple Rain.
Uh-huh.
Little Green Men.
Raspberry Beret.
Travis (04:14):
What does that mean?
No one knows.
No one knows.
Never explained.
Party like it's 1999?
What even is that?
Josh (04:21):
Okay, we're gonna dive
into this.
I'm gonna give a little introon Valiant Thor.
Travis (04:26):
Let's do it.
Take it away, Josh.
Josh (04:28):
On the morning of March
16, 1957, a circular craft
touched down in a field inAlexandria, Virginia.
The ship was said to be 300feet in diameter and made no
sound or heat signature as ittouched down.
Two local police officers werethe first to arrive.
According to the story, theyapproached with weapons drawn,
but lowered them when theyencountered a calm, well dressed
(04:49):
man stepping out of the craft.
He looked human, but but hewasn't.
He gazed at the officers, thendemanded I need to speak with
the president.
This is the story of ValiantThor, a being who claimed to
come from Venus, who walked thehalls of the Pentagon, who
offered solution to war, disease, and poverty, and was
turned away.
Travis (05:09):
Okay, what do you think
his suit looked like?
His suit?
Yeah, he said he was welldressed.
I can only imagine in likehuman terms in the 50s, that
would mean suit.
Josh (05:20):
Yeah.
Travis (05:21):
I would imagine it's
just like a Ken doll walking
off, like no genitalia.
That's how they knew he wasn'ta human.
How do they know he wasn'thuman?
Do you think he came out of acraft?
I mean, yeah, but that doesn'tmean you're not human.
Josh (05:34):
I think they had their
weapons drawn.
He was so good looking.
They're like, oh, we can't hurtthis guy.
Travis (05:40):
We're talking about like
a Brad Pitt.
Yeah.
Or a Josh Snodgrass.
Josh (05:44):
Well, thank you.
Yeah.
Travis (05:45):
You're welcome.
Josh (05:46):
I would imagine kind of a
Frank Sinatra dapper look as
well.
Travis (05:51):
He just comes out and
he's like, bubba bubbo.
Yeah.
Like a Bing Crosby.
That was like the only that wasthe only crooning I can do.
Josh (05:58):
Jazz is known for being
dapper.
Travis (06:01):
And everybody loves
jazz.
Josh (06:02):
Yeah.
So who was Valiant Thor?
That's what I'm asking.
Here's the quick version of theValiant Thor's origin story.
So Valiant Thor was a beingfrom Venus, specifically from
beneath the planet's surface, who was created for a specific
purpose.
He's described as human inappearance, but not human in
origin.
He reportedly had nofingerprints or belly button.
(06:24):
They did a belly button check.
Travis (06:25):
They'd have to.
That's how that was, I guess,the process.
Yeah, they checked shows yourbelly button.
Yeah.
Josh (06:31):
And it wasn't there.
Like, all right.
He spoke over a hundredlanguages and had abilities that
included telepathy,dematerialization, and advanced
healing.
That'd be nice.
I don't know what I would dowith dematerialization, though.
If I had that, I wouldn't useit a lot.
Travis (06:46):
Right before sex with my
wife.
I'd be like, close off.
Josh (06:51):
So his mission, according
to the story, was spiritual as
well as practical to guidehumanity away from war, disease,
and environmental collapse.
Travis (07:00):
My wife would be like,
stop using that power just for
that.
Please, God.
Use it to take out the garbageor something.
Maybe I don't know whatdematerializer is.
Josh (07:10):
I imagine just like
vaporizing or perfect.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So the story says that beforecoming to Earth, Thor underwent
a type of ceremonialpreparation, a ritual referred
to as the Ring of Fire, and wasappointed commander by a divine
authority.
In one version, this authoritywas Jesus Christ, who gave Thor
(07:30):
the assignment to assist Earthduring a time of increased
instability, particularly afterthe development of nuclear
weapons.
Thor would arrive with a team,a spacecraft, and a message he
hoped would be taken seriouslyby world leaders.
Travis (07:43):
Drink your milk.
That was the message hebrought.
Josh (07:46):
Drink your milk.
It didn't really get picked uptill the 80s.
Or is it 90s?
Travis (07:51):
Warrior Oval team.
Yeah, it was 90s.
Uh Michael Bay's ad campaignwas the got milk.
Do you know a lot of culturesdon't actually drink milk?
Josh (07:57):
It's like here in the
West.
Travis (08:00):
A couple of tribes, and
yeah, after not after your
infancy.
Josh (08:03):
Yeah.
Travis (08:04):
Anyways, uh Valiant
Thor.
And then we start like suckingon cow's udders.
Yeah.
That's how it started.
Maybe.
And then we're like, well, let's just put it in a bottle.
And then it is weird.
If people go missing, we'lljust put that on the bottle.
Josh (08:16):
I've never thought about
the first person to drink the
milk.
It's wild.
It is.
It was probably a sexual thing.
Speaker (08:22):
I bet it was.
Travis (08:24):
And then they're like,
actually, this isn't that bad.
Yeah.
Just be cool, you guys.
I'm gonna do something.
It's gonna blow your mind.
Just watch what I'm doing.
Josh (08:32):
The first guy lost his
family, lost all of his friends.
Travis (08:35):
But he committed to it.
And that man was JohnnyAppleseed.
Josh (08:38):
Hmm.
All right, let's get back ontrack.
Okay.
So here's the landing mission.
After landing near Washington,D.C., Thor was transported to
the Pentagon, where he met withthe Under Secretary of Defense
and was eventually brought tothe White House for a private
meeting with Mr.
President Dwight D.
Eisenhower and Vice PresidentRichard Nixon.
(09:00):
Those guys were both believers.
Travis (09:03):
Yeah.
Josh (09:03):
So in it, Thor explained
that he came as a representative
of a governing council composedof leaders from multiple
planets.
He stated that his people hadbeen observing Earth for
thousands of years but chose tomake contact following the
development of atomic weapons, which they believed pose a
threat beyond Earth itself.
So Thor offered assistance.
He claimed that his peoplecould provide solutions to
(09:26):
global problems like poverty, disease, clean environment,
replacing fossil fuels, and justa more peaceful society.
According to Doctor Strange's,President Eisenhower responded
with interest.
But ultimately, Thor'sproposals were declined.
The reasoning given was thathumanity wasn't ready for such
rapid change, and thatimplementing his ideas could
(09:47):
destabilize the economy andpolitical structures around the
world.
So following that meeting, Thorwas granted VIP status.
Nice.
Yeah.
And lived in a secure Pentagonapartment for the next three
years.
I didn't know they hadapartments in the Pentagon.
Travis (10:01):
They probably do.
I mean, it's big.
And it's probably for people toget lost, and they're just
like, I guess I live here now.
And then they find an openoffice and This is my life now.
Josh (10:10):
Yep.
So during this three-year stay,Valiant Thor reportedly
remained in communication withhis crew and continued offering
insight to military andpolitical leaders.
One of the few tangible piecesof the story comes from the
clothing he wore.
Travis (10:24):
Oh, finally.
Thor's uniform.
Josh (10:27):
It was described as a
shimmering one-piece garment.
It was submitted for testing bygovernment scientists.
The fabric was subject toextreme evaluations like laser
exposure, concentrated acid, high velocity rifle fire, and
diamond drilling.
And none of it even made amark.
The material was consideredindestructible by known
standards at the time.
Its exact composition was neveridentified.
Travis (10:50):
And what never seen
again?
Josh (10:52):
Or it was sent off to
study and we got new tech.
Travis (10:58):
It was sent off to study
and they didn't write like a
post-it note.
Like, hey, try to recreatethis.
Josh (11:04):
Well, none of the
technology we have now existed
then.
NASA wasn't even around when heshowed up.
Nine months later, NASA wasaround and they started just
inventing all this shit.
I mean, we probably have usedsomething like this, alien tech.
Travis (11:18):
You think like maybe
Velcro came from this?
Maybe.
Do you think the ability totake pictures on your cell phone
came from this?
Not from close.
I think that's a huge not fromclose.
But I think we're for wearingTravis, you idiot.
Josh (11:32):
Yeah.
Not for picturing.
We definitely had a crazy boomin technology a few times since
this happened.
It seems as though it went alittle too fast.
How did we go from a onemegabyte supercomputer the size
of a house to what we have nowin the market?
Travis (11:48):
I mean that's like
pockets.
Josh (11:51):
Yeah.
Travis (11:51):
Plus.
Josh (11:52):
That's insane.
Travis (11:53):
Is it though?
I think so.
I don't know.
I don't think it's that crazy.
Going from I mean, I thinkwe've made a lot of no
electricity to Yeah, the 20thcentury is a remarkable time.
19th century.
Yeah, 20th century.
Josh (12:04):
I'm just saying, that's
probably what happened with the
clothes.
It got sent to labs or it gotsent to private military
corporations.
Travis (12:11):
Velcro was said to have
been invented by, you know,
those little burrs that you canget if you go like go hiking in
a field or whatever.
Yeah.
And they stick to your clothes.
Yeah, I hate those.
I know they suck.
They're impossible to get out.
Josh (12:22):
You can't get them out.
You just throw whatever youwere wearing away.
Travis (12:25):
Yeah, including your
sometimes leg.
Uh, but that's I believe howVelcro was invented is like a
scientist had tried to removethese burrs and was like, oh,
this is actually really clever.
Or maybe it was from ashimmering suit.
Could be.
Josh (12:38):
So what do you think so
far?
You sold?
No.
Travis (12:41):
This happened.
Crazy.
Josh (12:42):
This happened.
Travis (12:43):
I mean, we're reading a
take for sure.
I do not think this happened.
So who is it that recorded allthis information?
Where did this all come from?
Who documented this incident, the Valiant Thor incident?
Josh (12:55):
So I kind of slipped it in
there a little bit.
The guy's name is DoctorStranges.
Travis (12:59):
Okay.
Which sounds like a totalnormal name.
Josh (13:02):
Yeah.
We got Doctor Strange and Thor.
Holy shit.
Oh my gosh.
Travis (13:07):
Uh-oh, we're getting an
Avengers team assembly.
Josh (13:09):
Something's happening.
So we'll get to him.
Travis (13:12):
Okay.
Josh (13:13):
First, I want to talk
about pictures.
There are pictures of thesealiens.
Valiant Thor's image firstcirculated after an event hosted
by Howard Menger, a well-knowncontactee with organized East
Coast saucer conventions in the50s.
So in April of 1957, ValiantThor and three of his crew
(13:33):
members.
There's more of them?
Yeah.
Don, Jill, and Tanya.
Travis (13:39):
Don with two N's, it
looks like.
Josh (13:41):
And Tanya with a Y and
then an IA.
Travis (13:44):
Tanya.
That's in Tanya.
All those are doing a lot ofwork there.
Yeah.
Or not enough.
Josh (13:51):
So those are the names.
Don, Jill, and Tanya.
They attended one of theseevents with Valiant Thor held in
Menger's backyard inHighbridge, New Jersey.
Travis (13:58):
Gotta say, like I'm
looking at a picture of them
now.
It looks like they're sittingoutside.
Speaker (14:03):
Mm-hmm.
Travis (14:03):
Little gathering.
There's three of them there.
The one that's sitting in thewood chair looks very serious
and does not look like he truststhe other guy that's talking.
We should put this picture inour show notes.
Josh (14:13):
Yeah, we can do that.
I don't know if this is DonJill and Tanya and then Valiant
Thor, or if Valiant Thor is inthis as well.
Travis (14:20):
Yeah, and where's Manger
maybe taking the picture?
Josh (14:23):
No.
The photographer, his name wasAugust C.
Roberts.
Travis (14:27):
Okay.
Josh (14:27):
He was a photographer for
the military.
So he snapped several black andwhite images during this whole
gathering.
And according to Roberts, theman identified as Valiant Thor
appeared strikingly human, welldressed, and calm.
He noted that Thor had novisible fingerprints, something
he later found unusual afterrevealing the negatives.
And these photos were passed toDoctor Strange's, who began
(14:50):
including them in his publiclectures.
Travis (14:51):
So wait, the guy took
pictures of his fingerprints?
Josh (14:54):
Maybe he took pictures and
noticed when developing it.
Travis (14:58):
Like the photographic
capabilities back then, there
wasn't a lot of resolution toit.
Josh (15:02):
So some cameras, yeah,
there was crazy resolution.
Like some of these oldercameras, you the resolution is
so high that you can blow it upto be the size of a wall, and it
still looks phenomenal.
Travis (15:12):
And you could think you
could see fingerprints.
Josh (15:14):
If you blew it up big
enough, yeah.
Travis (15:16):
Okay.
Well, I don't believe it.
I need to see proof.
Josh (15:19):
You were asking about the
guy.
How do we know about Valiantor?
The story of him comesprimarily from one guy.
Dr.
Frank.
Travis (15:31):
Frank Doctor Stranges.
Okay, yeah.
This is the Doctor Strange.
I hate this so much.
What do you hate?
Uh that it just comes from oneperson.
I hate it.
There's no validation.
Nobody's like, oh yeah, ofcourse this happened.
And he probably was what heprobably still does for like
(15:51):
noble purposes, right?
Like trying to better humanity.
He wasn't trying to build hischurch or anything like that.
Josh (15:57):
Yeah.
Travis (15:58):
Or like tie it to the
Bible or something.
Josh (16:01):
Dr.
Stranges was a pastor.
unknown (16:03):
Fuck.
Travis (16:04):
Okay.
Josh (16:05):
And he was a lecturer, and
he also worked as a private
investigator.
And he had academic background, like theology, psychology,
criminology.
And he spent a lot of timespeaking publicly about UFOs and
spiritual phenomena.
Travis (16:19):
He didn't write a book,
did he?
Josh (16:21):
This is how we have the
story.
unknown (16:23):
Oh fuck.
Josh (16:24):
So during one of these
lectures that he was giving, a
woman named Nancy Warrenapproached him and she worked
inside the Pentagon andrecognized the man in the
photos.
According to her, theindividual known as Valiant Thor
had been living in a secureresidence within the Pentagon
and has been meeting withhigh-level officials.
So she offered to introduceStranges to Valiant Thor.
(16:45):
And their meeting took placeDecember 1959.
Stranges was brought into thePentagon through a back route
and guided through a securityprocess that he described as
unusual.
It's a belly button check forsure.
At one point, he claimedsecurity guards saw an
identification badge on him thatdidn't physically exist.
Did you catch that?
Travis (17:06):
No, no, I'm just like,
I'm rereading some of this.
Why was Stranges brought in?
Just because he was a lecturer?
Somebody approached him?
I don't know.
It could be.
I mean, this seems like youneed high-level clearance to get
into the Pentagon, unless, like, the Pentagon wasn't that
security worried in the 50s.
Josh (17:25):
Well, when Strange met
Valiant Thor face to face, Thor
greeted him by his name.
Travis (17:30):
Probably in English,
classic.
Josh (17:32):
Well, he knew all the
languages, a hundred languages.
Travis (17:35):
Yeah, because they've
been observing Earth.
I would did they anybodyapprove it?
Did they get a person whospeaks French?
Did they test this, or do theyjust take him at his word?
This is what is so ridiculousabout the story.
Josh (17:46):
So Thor knew specific
private details about stranges.
Things that stranges hadn'ttalked about publicly.
Travis (17:53):
I mean, this guy- Oh,
I'm sure that's not true.
I was gonna say this publicpersona who had been on a
lecture circuit and talking totens of people, whoever shows up
to these lectures, is soshocked that people knew about
him.
Josh (18:10):
I I don't know.
Enough to write that in thestory saying like he knew things
about me, he knew my name.
Travis (18:17):
I think that this guy is
just slowly showing us his
vanity.
It's like when you meetsomebody and they're like, Oh
yeah, I've heard all about you,and you're just instantly like,
oh my god, now you are theperson who has heard about me.
Now you are the mostinteresting person possible in
my immediate sphere.
You've heard about me, oh mygod, I love everything about
hearing this.
Josh (18:34):
It could be because he had
telepathy or he's in the
Pentagon.
The government spies, they knoweverything about everyone.
Sure.
Could be that.
And he was briefed, he wasbrought in.
I don't know why Stranges wasbrought in to this Valiant Thor,
Val, or a Thor, but over theyears, Stranges claimed that
Thor would visit him withoutwarning.
Travis (18:54):
Ugh, I don't like that.
Josh (18:55):
So I would just assume
that Valiant Thor stayed in the
Pentagon, like wasn't allowed toleave, but he could just come
and go as he played.
I don't know.
That seems weird to me.
Doesn't seem very American tome.
What?
So sometimes Valiant Thor wouldappear in his car or in
unexpected places.
Travis (19:12):
I hate that.
Imagine getting in your car andhe's like, Don't worry, it's
just me.
Josh (19:16):
Bing bong, hello.
And you're like, holy fuck, holy fuck, who is me?
So he also documented a visitaboard Thor's spacecraft, the
Victor one.
Travis (19:25):
Oh, I read that as the
Victor one, and I was like, the
vic the Victor one.
Yeah, that one.
Josh (19:30):
So he documented this.
He documented this after he gotjumped by Men in Black.
Um something's not adding up.
If the men in black are workingwith and or are the government,
but he was brought in by thegovernment.
There's some convolution here,right?
Travis (19:47):
Yeah, we are using so
many elements of sci-fi culture
here with men in black andsomebody from another world.
Before we started recording, wetalked about the day the early.
Stood still, which is about analien coming to Earth and saying
they come in peace, right?
Or whatever.
Josh (20:07):
Yeah, and that's basically
what he take me to your leader.
Travis (20:10):
Yeah, yeah.
Take me to your leader.
I need to speak to thepresident.
And that it's just coming fromthis one Doctor Strange's book.
This one singular account iswild to me.
Josh (20:20):
Yeah, it doesn't.
I mean, he could be an authorthat he's still alive?
Strangers.
No, he's not.
He went home.
Travis (20:28):
Some may say, yeah.
Josh (20:29):
It is interesting.
This could all just be like aweird sci-fi story, con man,
potentially, but it's grown alot of attention, and there are
things in our culture and ourworld that seem bizarre, and
there are some coincidences.
But it is, I mean, just readingthat the men in black jumped
him.
If he was brought in by thegovernment, why did he get
jumped by the government?
(20:50):
If the men in black isgovernment, or if the men in
black are just aliens notworking for the government, I
don't understand that eitherbecause Valiant Thor is with
him.
But Valiant Thor has shown upand helped him.
So he's gotten hurt by men inblack.
Travis (21:02):
Yeah, he got the shit
kicked out of him.
Josh (21:04):
And then Valiant Thor had
showed up and healed him.
Travis (21:07):
Allegedly got the shit
kicked out of him.
Josh (21:10):
Yeah, and allegedly he was
healed.
Yeah.
He witnessed advancedtechnology from Valiant Thor,
non-Earth materials, medicinethat healed immediately, and he
met his whole spirituallyfocused crew.
And through these interactions, stranges became Thor's chosen
contact to Earth.
So he would be responsible forsharing his message and
continuing the mission throughbooks, public lectures,
(21:32):
spiritual teachings, and hemaintained that mission for the
rest of his life.
And in 1967, he publishedStranger at the Pentagon.
So that's the book that thisall comes from.
Travis (21:42):
Yeah.
And that's the only text thatincludes like the police
officers showing up at aspaceship with guns drawn.
Yeah.
The all the Pentagon.
Josh (21:51):
The entire story.
Travis (21:52):
Nancy Warren.
Josh (21:54):
Yeah, so some of these
people are definitely not who
they say they are, includingStranges.
There's some weirdness abouthis credentials.
He's not forthcoming with someof those.
He says he has all thesethings, and it just doesn't
really pan out.
He doesn't really have thesethings if you dig a little bit.
One of the colleges he said hewent to didn't exist.
(22:15):
Another college where he saidhe got a PhD.
Travis (22:17):
They don't even do a PhD
program.
Josh (22:19):
Yeah.
So he could have just been asci-fi writer.
Travis (22:22):
That sounds right.
That sounds exactly what Ithought this was gonna be.
God damn it.
Josh (22:29):
But the other thing is
what if this is actually all
true?
Travis (22:33):
So just looking up Nancy
Warren, there's no uh there's
not a Nancy Warren tie toValiant Thor as like a real
person, but there's like a NancyWarren who's a Canadian writer,
but she's much younger thanthis Nancy Warren would be.
I'm I mean, and I'm not doing ahuge dive and cross-referencing
anything, um, but just doinglike a cursory search on Google,
(22:57):
all of the Nancy Warren ValiantThor hits are relating to this
one account.
Josh (23:03):
Yeah, when I was looking
up any other kind of
documentation about ValiantThor, it always came back to
just this.
I mean, there's been tons ofstories and videos and podcasts
and everything about it, but itall is based on this.
I looked up federal documents,I found a document on FBI.gov
archives.
It was debunked.
(23:25):
It was Mir Miracle 12 orMajestic 12, and it was a
document about PresidentEisenhower's briefing.
He was a newly electedpresident, so it was a document
at his briefing, and an AirForce investigation determined
that the document was fake.
It says bogus on every singlepage.
(23:46):
But the other thing is we knowthe Air Force is one of the
bigger people hiding.
Travis (23:51):
I don't know what bogus
means.
We have a ski resort herecalled bogus basin, like that.
Josh (23:55):
It's basically official,
guaranteed unfakeable stuff.
Travis (24:00):
So it's an acronym?
Josh (24:01):
Built on genuine,
undeniable science.
Got it.
Okay.
Yeah.
No, but really the Air Forcehas been known to be one of the
bigger antagonists in the UFOand conspiracy alien world.
They're trying to hide it.
They are the ones that arefighting against a lot of some
of these congressional things.
Travis (24:20):
They're the ones that
are a job that somebody in the
government has.
They just get like a big stampthat says bogus on it or
restricted.
That's probably not how it'sdone.
It's it's not just like somelow-level employee.
Probably not.
I mean, it could be a bigrubber stamp.
Josh (24:34):
It could be like that
would be so reckless.
A high official is just likestamp bogus on all this.
It's crap.
Travis (24:40):
Yeah.
Josh (24:41):
So that's the story.
An alien from Venus looked likea human, came down to Earth,
met with the president, stayedin the Pentagon for three years,
tried to send a message ofpeace, spiritual alignment,
global healing, and it wasdeclined politely from the U.S.
government.
Like, no, thanks.
We don't need that.
And all of it was documentedand shared by one guy who stuck
(25:05):
with the same story his entirelife.
There's photographs, there'seyewitness claims, and there's
details that never reallychanged.
There's even an author count onAmazon with 106 titles,
allegedly by Valiant Thor.
So he's still around?
He's still here.
Who knows?
In the story, I mean, I haven'tread the book, but from the
story that I've heard andgathered, he didn't leave.
(25:28):
Like we said, there's a lack ofofficial confirmation.
There's no evidence other thanthis book.
But that could be because it'sreal.
Deep, deep secret stuff that wejust don't know about.
And there are other alienstories in the ufology lore that
there have been aliens thathave come and made contact, and
(25:48):
we have proof and video anddocumentation.
And this could be one of them, but the documentation being a
novel.
Sus.
It's weird.
I've heard other stories ofaliens from Venus or Venusians
coming down.
There was one UFO convention.
It was a woman that showed up,kind of had the same face as
like Anya Taylor Joy kind ofjust from Venus.
Travis (26:10):
That's where they come
from, John.
Josh (26:12):
I know.
Travis (26:12):
I know.
Men I'm not dumb.
Are from Mars.
Are they?
Women are from Venus.
Classic.
Josh (26:18):
So this isn't the first
time Venusians have shown
themselves, and they do looklike humans, just a little bit
different.
Travis (26:26):
Like Uncanny Valley,
where you feel a little off
looking at them, or they're justtoo otherworldly.
Josh (26:32):
They're like beautiful.
That's one thing that peoplesay.
They're like stunning, butthere's just something off.
Like a little bit bigger eyes, like doe eyes.
Venusian?
unknown (26:40):
Hmm.
Josh (26:41):
Interesting.
Something for me to thinkabout.
Yeah.
Let me know.
So when it comes to aliens, yes, maybe no.
What do you think?
I think I know what you think.
Travis (26:51):
Uh I think we might be
on the same page.
I think this is uh no.
I think this is a no.
Josh (26:56):
Oh shit.
Is this embarrassing?
Were you gonna say yes?
I I don't, I mean, it's still Ilike I want to believe,
especially because the messageis really nice.
It doesn't even need to bereal, just follow the damn
message.
I'm gonna say no, nudgingtowards maybe, but still in the
no.
Travis (27:12):
I mean, I like the idea
of this, like a otherworldly
being makes itself known andcomes bringing a message of
peace.
Like I just love that idea.
That's the ideal story.
Yeah, I'm I'm here to help youguys move to your next level or
whatever.
Josh (27:29):
And maybe they did.
You know, that's the thing, islike if it is real, maybe they
have helped, and that's whywe've had advancements in
medicine and technology as fastas we have.
But I'm gonna stick with theno, there's just not enough
proof because there is only onesource, and the guy's kind of
sketchy.
Travis (27:45):
Kind of sketchy.
So if you guys are interested, there's a book, Stranger in the
Pentagon.
Also around the same time,1961, sci-fi author Robert
Heinlein wrote a book calledStranger in a Strange Land that
is very similar to this.
So if you want like asensationalized version of the
story, I would encourage you toread it.
It's very good, and it coversan alien who came from Mars.
(28:08):
Guess what his name is?
Thor.
Val.
Seriously?
It's Val, short for Valentine,Valentine Michael Smith, I think
is his name.
Josh (28:18):
And they called Valiant
Thor Val.
Travis (28:20):
Val, yep.
It's wild.
Like the similarities betweenthe Valiant Thor with Peace.
He came with Peace and he hadlike healing powers.
Oh, it gets because it was 61and sci-fi, it gets really sexy.
Josh (28:34):
Oh.
Travis (28:35):
Like he's like pro
everything, and he's he starts a
church and uh spoiler alert fora 60-year-old book, but his
acolytes kill him.
Josh (28:43):
When did did this book
come out before 61?
And when did the Stranges comeout?
Travis (28:49):
Uh Strange's book was
like 1967.
Oh.
But he's documented Oh shit.
He says that it happened in 57,though, and it took him that
long to write this book.
Josh (29:00):
Yeah.
But there was also another bookthat's really similar that came
out six years before his bookcame out.
With almost an identical titleand the name of the same
Stranger in a Strange Land.
That's even more sketchy.
Travis (29:11):
Yeah.
Josh (29:12):
Interesting.
Travis (29:13):
I didn't think of that
timeline.
I had I was fixated on the 57,thinking, oh well, yeah, he did
all this in 57, not realizingthat he didn't write his book
until years later.
Yep.
Okay.
Josh (29:22):
Well, you're a no, I'm a
no.
That actually kind of confirmsmy no.
That seems like he just copiedanother author's story.
Travis (29:30):
It seems exactly like
that.
Josh (29:32):
Well, let us know what you
guys think.
I definitely want to hear fromeveryone.
Travis (29:36):
Yeah.
Josh (29:37):
If you have information or
thoughts, I want to hear them.
We're not always right.
Some of my thoughts were Ibelieve or not believe have been
changed by other people.
Yeah.
So if you think you can changemy mind, do it.
We're open-minded.
Yeah.
Absolutely.
Travis (29:52):
And if there's anything
out there on Valiant Thor, I'd
love to read it because I thinkit's terribly interesting.
Josh (29:56):
Or hey, Valiant Thor, if
you are out there.
Travis (30:00):
Appear in the back of my
car.
Yeah.
One evening.
Yeah.
That's totally a totally coolmove.
You would kill him, wouldn'tyou?
I would no, I would probablydie of a heart attack.
That's what would happen.
Yep.
Or I'd have to check my pantsbecause I pooped him.
Josh (30:13):
Yep.
Well, that is this show.
We want to thank the listeners.
We want to thank Jordan.
Travis (30:19):
Jordan, do we have a
quiz?
Josh (30:20):
Oh, yeah, we have a quiz.
I don't know what it's about.
Travis (30:22):
Well, we're doing all
over thank yous right now.
Do we always do those beforethe quiz?
Josh (30:26):
I don't know.
Yeah, no.
I thought that was an interviewthing.
We can thank him as many timesas we want.
Travis (30:30):
No, that's true.
We can't thank Jordan enough.
Josh (30:32):
That's true.
And our listeners.
Ooh, thank you.
Thank you.
Yep.
Just want to thank you guys.
And now it is a quiz time.
Travis (30:43):
This is how you thank me
for my service, my in-person
service, is by making me takeanother quiz.
I'm gonna get so embarrassed.
Josh (30:50):
I want you to go out
strong.
Travis (30:52):
I'd never go out strong
after these things.
Josh (30:54):
You have before.
Name one time.
One.
There was one.
I don't remember.
Name it.
Travis (30:59):
I don't remember, but it
was so it has to totally exist.
Josh (31:03):
It blew me away.
And I think all of your answerswere guesses, but you got
somehow alright.
Travis (31:08):
Spoiler alert, Josh.
That's my strategy.
Yeah.
Just guessing.
Josh (31:13):
Let's get this quiz
started.
The topic, my mind is blown.
What the what the fuck?
Is Majestic 12.
We just talked about that.
We just I just mentioned it.
So I was searching fordocuments that could potentially
have some more information onValiant Thor.
And this is the only thing thatcame up.
I didn't read any of thedocuments.
(31:34):
I just read like the quicksynopsis of what it is.
God damn it.
unknown (31:39):
I hate that.
Josh (31:40):
And it was on the FBI Gov,
but I went through all the
pages.
I didn't zoom in and read them, but this is the one that had
the bogus on all the things.
Travis (31:49):
But I also said the Air
Force.
You're pointing at me veryaggressively right now.
You need to listen.
Got it.
The Air Force.
Uh-oh.
Two fingers now.
Josh (31:58):
Is holy shit.
This is serious.
This is a three-finger point.
Oh no.
The Air Force is the antagonistin this whole story.
But let's we'll take the test.
We'll figure out what it trulyis.
Travis (32:13):
Okay.
Okay, Majestic 12.
Josh (32:15):
So this is what we're
going to talk about next
episode.
Let's do it.
What is Majestic 12 or MJ12most commonly said to be?
Is it A, a secret alien speciesworking with world governments?
B a branch of the CIA of alienspies.
C a covert U.S.
government group investigatingUFOs, or D, a top secret space
exploration agency.
Travis (32:37):
You know what's wild?
What?
I don't remember what you saidseriously 15 minutes ago when
you brought up Majestic 12.
Josh (32:44):
I didn't say much.
I didn't know much because Ididn't read the documents.
Travis (32:48):
Right out of my brain,
though.
Josh (32:49):
So I think it's a covert
US government group
investigating UFOs.
Because Majestic 12 sounds like12 people and they name
themselves Majestic.
We are the Majestic 12.
Travis (33:02):
Uh so on following that
line of logic, I'm gonna pick
something different.
Oh, and it's the wildest one, abranch of the CIA of alien
spies.
Josh (33:12):
Oh, that could be a good
one.
Travis (33:13):
So reading that, like
that tells me there are aliens
that are spies, right?
Is that am I reading thatright?
Yeah.
And there's 12 of them, andthey're majestic.
Yeah.
As fuck.
So we got what Don, probably,Tanya, probably, Val, probably,
and what was the other one?
Jim?
Kevin?
I I don't know.
Josh (33:32):
From well, that's the
thing.
So maybe what if Valiant Thoris real?
Yeah.
And he was part of thisMajestic 12.
Travis (33:39):
Living in this posh
Pentagon apartment.
Josh (33:41):
Yeah.
All right.
So next one.
Uh-huh.
In what year were the Majestic12 documents first made public?
A 1953, B, 1969, C 1984, or D2002?
I'm gonna say 1984.
I was going back and forth from69 to 84.
(34:03):
I'm gonna do 84.
Hell yeah.
I don't know why.
Because it's wrong.
That's why.
Okay, next question.
The original MJ12 documentswere delivered how?
A left on a USB hidden beneatha floorboard.
B left inside a hollow treewith a post-it that said read
me.
(34:23):
C drop from a black helicopter,or D, mailed anonymously on
microfilm.
What the hell?
Travis (34:33):
Um so given the year
that I chose, 1984, I think that
rules out USB.
Left inside a hollow tree witha post-it is like wild enough to
maybe be believable because Ifeel like that's how all of this
stuff is communicated.
It's just like the wildestcoincidences, or that's Jordan
fucking with us.
Josh (34:53):
And it kind of gives me a
80s movie feel.
Travis (34:58):
Yeah.
Josh (34:59):
Like that's something one
of the people in the Breakfast
Club would do.
Travis (35:01):
A bunch of intrepid
young scouts are out stomping
around in the woods and thenthey find this thing.
Josh (35:06):
Yeah.
Travis (35:06):
So I'm picking mailed
anonymously on microfilm.
Josh (35:10):
Yeah, I mean that has to
be it.
These other ones are way toocrazy.
Yeah.
Okay.
Next question.
According to the document, whoallegedly created MJ12?
Is that A, Harry S.
Truman?
B, Dwight D.
Eisenhower, C J.
Edgar Hoover, or D Franklin D.
Roosevelt.
Travis (35:27):
I'm gonna have to go
with my boy Dwight.
I like Ike.
Josh (35:31):
I was thinking Dwight too,
but I also, from that little
paragraph that I read on the FBIthing, it said that, and I may
have read it wrong, but he wasbeing briefed.
So Okay.
So what's your answer?
I'm gonna say Hoover.
Travis (35:45):
Okay.
The creator of the FBI, J EdgarHoover.
Josh (35:48):
Yeah.
Okay.
Next question.
Who were the Majestic Twelveaccording to conspiracy lore?
Travis (35:54):
Oh fuck.
Josh (35:55):
A, a group of astronauts.
Travis (35:56):
This is where it gets
real because now I we find out
that I was wrong on the firstone.
Josh (36:01):
Maybe.
Well, you could be right.
So A, a group of astronautssent to investigate alien tech.
B, a secret team of militaryand scientific elites managing
extraterrestrial affairs.
C 12 abductees brought togetherto decode alien languages, or
D, the original cast of ancientaliens.
The reality show?
(36:22):
Yeah.
The real reality show.
Travis (36:24):
That would be that would
be wild if it was.
You just get like a group ofaliens in a house big brother
style.
Josh (36:33):
I think it's a secret team
of military and scientific
elites managing extraterrestrialaffairs.
Travis (36:38):
Okay.
Final answer.
I mean, that's a good one.
Josh (36:42):
That's I would be blown
away if it was a group of
astronauts.
Travis (36:46):
I know.
That's why I'm kind of thinkingthat's my choice.
Josh (36:50):
I mean, I think I would
have heard of that.
If there was like a secretastronaut team that was out
exploring alien tech.
But you think they're just likeoffice workers?
Well, I was astronauts.
I was thinking they were sentto like outer space.
Yeah.
But maybe they're not going outto they're just going and
researching.
Travis (37:06):
Yeah, they were just
sent like to Montana.
Josh (37:08):
Yeah.
Okay.
Travis (37:10):
We got there.
Josh (37:11):
Yeah.
Travis (37:11):
Same, same idea.
Josh (37:12):
Yeah.
Travis (37:12):
So that's what I'm going
to pick.
A group of scientists sent toinvestigate alien tech.
Josh (37:16):
Okay.
All right.
Last question.
What was MJ 12's primaryfunction?
A managing Cold War propaganda.
B suppressing evidence of aliencontact.
C running Project Blue Book.
Or D monitoring Soviet activityin the US.
It's primary.
Travis (37:33):
Primary function, like
why it was created?
Josh (37:36):
Yeah.
Oh, well, I I don't know ifit's why it was created, but
like though, what what do theydo?
Like what's the purpose?
Travis (37:42):
So that maybe suggests
that their primary focus was one
thing, but they also had othertasks, right?
Josh (37:49):
Right.
I'm wondering, I vaguelyremember hearing something about
a group of people, because wetalked about the birds, the
group of the disinformationprograms.
Travis (38:00):
And they don't exist.
No, that's birds aren't real.
Josh (38:03):
Not that.
The the people in thegovernment who had bird names
that were going around creatingdisinformation.
And I feel like there's anothergroup, and this might be it,
like a group of high officials, and they're like the elite.
So when people ask who's doingthis stuff, who's in charge?
Who's making the decisions?
I think it's these 12.
If this is the same thing.
(38:24):
But I remember hearing I don'tknow anything about it, but
maybe that's what it is.
So suppressing evidence ofalien contact?
That's gonna be my answer.
Travis (38:32):
Okay.
Josh (38:33):
What do you think?
I think it's either, I mean,because it's alien.
Travis (38:36):
I'm gonna say I want the
show to be interesting, but I
also am tired of being wrong allthe time.
So I'm just gonna pick what youpicked.
Josh (38:43):
Well, I might not be
right.
Travis (38:44):
Well, then we'll be
wrong together.
Josh (38:46):
Okay.
All right.
So we're gonna submit.
We're gonna check our accuracy.
Oh boy.
Oh boy.
Okay.
So, question one What isMajestic 12 or MJ12 most
commonly said to be?
I said a covert US governmentgroup investigating UFOs.
Travis (39:03):
Yeah, you're right.
Josh (39:04):
I am correct.
What did you say?
Travis (39:05):
A branch of the CIA of
alien spies.
Josh (39:09):
That would have been the
fun one.
But hey, we got the next oneright.
What year was the Majestic 12documents first made public?
1984.
Travis (39:16):
Of course, the next one,
how were those documents
delivered?
Uh mailed anonymously onmicrofilm.
That was just like the mostlogical.
Josh (39:24):
Yeah, we're not in an
action movie.
Travis (39:26):
Yeah, we used the post.
Yeah, man, with stamps.
Josh (39:29):
Next one, according to the
document, who allegedly created
MJ12?
I said J.
Edgar Hoover.
I said Dwight.
It was Truman.
Both wrong.
Man.
Okay.
So who were the Majestic Twelveaccording to conspiracy and
lore?
What the fuck?
I said a secret team ofmilitary and scientific elites
(39:49):
managing extraterrestrialaffairs.
Yeah.
Travis (39:51):
A group of astronauts
sent to investigate alien tech
was my answer.
Josh (39:54):
It was twelve abductees
brought together to decode alien
languages.
Holy shit.
Travis (39:59):
This is Like that movie
where they bring linguists in.
Josh (40:02):
Arrival?
Travis (40:03):
That's it.
Arrival.
Josh (40:04):
Yeah.
Okay.
That kind of that throws me fora loop.
Hey guys, this is Josh from thepresent.
Talking about this from thepast.
That was the wrong answer.
That was a mistake.
It is, I think, the onlymistake Jordan has ever made in
her entire life.
So I'm gonna let it go.
The correct answer was be asecret team of military and
(40:28):
scientific elites managingextraterrestrial affairs.
So don't get mad at us forbeing wrong or making a mistake.
But okay, back to the show.
Okay, last one.
What was MJ12's primaryfunction?
We both said suppress evidenceof alien contact, and that is
correct.
Whoa, whoa, whoa! So, I mean,if it's alien abductees, it's
(40:53):
probably not what I wasthinking, like the elite people
in control making the calls.
So I don't know what this is.
Travis (40:59):
This is wild.
A bunch of wild ass stuff ishappening.
So alien abductees are decodingalien language for the
government.
This is they're activelysuppressing information about
alien contact.
Josh (41:11):
One of them leaked the
info because they mailed it
anonymously on microfilm.
Uh-huh.
Travis (41:16):
Have you ever used
microfilm before?
