Let’s be honest—we all judge sometimes. Even the most conscious and self-aware versions of us fall into it. In this episode, I share a story that reminded me why judgment is NEVER about the other person and what it’s blocking in our own lives. I break down how judgment shows up as a protection mechanism, how it disconnects us from our desires, and the questions you can ask to shift from shame into compassion.

Now back to the show.
Okay, let's be real for aminute.
We all judge.
Yes, we all do it.
Even the most conscious, awakened, spiritual, journal

(02:33):
loving juice drinking versionsof us still slip into judgment
Sometimes.
I remember a time this is sofunny I was leading a group
guided meditation.
There was about 50 women andI'll never forget.
There was a group of ladies inthe corner and there were about
three or four of them and theywere the only ones that weren't

(02:53):
going under.
Everyone else got comfortableand laying down and just sinking
into the whole experience, andthey were sitting in the back
and laughing, giggling, and I'mjust looking at them like this
is so disrespectful.
And so, after the whole retreat, one of the ladies came up to
me and said, with tears in hereyes, she's like that was the

(03:16):
most incredible day I have everhad.
And I'm thinking to myself areyou kidding me?
Right now?
Is she lying to me?
Because she's one of the onesthat was just laughing in the
corner and I go oh, thank you,I'm so glad you enjoyed it,
thinking I just am still judgingher and she starts bawling and
she's like I couldn't go under,I couldn't face it.

(03:36):
So my mechanism and how to dealwith areas where I can't face
the pain is I start laughing, and so she was the ringleader in
that little group and they wereall just supporting her.
I'm like, oh my God, chrissy, here is a perfect example of you
never know what someone's goingthrough.
You don't know their story, youdon't know a thing about them,

(04:00):
or maybe you think you do, butyou don't really Even just think
of our friendships, right?
I mean, I have some very closefriends.
I adore them like sisters, andeven they go through times where
I feel they're being sovulnerable and opening up about
everything, and then I find outlater, say, they went rogue or

(04:21):
quiet or whatever.
Something happened, and it'slike I'm really going through
such a tough season right now.
I didn't even want to share it,because I didn't want to bring
you down, because I know youhave so much going on and you
have to be in your energy andoperating at your peak
performance to show up.
I didn't want to share it withyou and I'm thinking, oh my God,
that's what I'm here for, LikeI will always be here for you,

(04:44):
this is what a sisterhood is,and you would never bring me
down.
So I share that, because we'reoften operating more times than
not under assumptions, underjudgments, under all these
things that we create in ourmind.
We're creating stories all thetime.
There's a podcast I waslistening to a couple of weeks
ago and I think it might havebeen Mel Robbins.

(05:06):
She was talking to someoneabout the thoughts we have, the
stories we tell ourselves, and Ibelieve it was like 4,000
stories we tell ourselves in onehour.
One hour is 4,000.
That is insane.
So it's time we take radicalresponsibility and we reel it

(05:26):
back in just a moment.
So just catch yourself when youfind yourself judging someone
and realize it has more to doabout you than about them.
You're creating the story.
You're creating the narrativeof coming from typically an

(05:46):
unhealed wound, a past scenariothat created fear, created shame
, created guilt.
Whatever you were movingthrough, you've created a story
from that and you stamped it asin your blueprint in your body.
And so now, when somethingcomes up that doesn't feel good,
feel kosher with you, you beginto judge it.
And this is how we findourselves in this circle, in

(06:12):
this constant hamster wheel oflife, operating from defense,
constantly trying to protectourselves because we don't want
to feel X, y and Z anymore.
So we're just going to cast thestones and cast the judgments
in order to survive.
That is what it really is, andhere's what I realized Judgment
doesn't protect us.

(06:34):
It actually blocks us.
It keeps us in separationconstantly from others, from
ourselves and from all theblessings that are literally
right in front of us waiting toland.
It is keeping us from all theabundance.
And so, when I'm judgingsomeone else, I'm usually

(06:55):
avoiding something inside of me.
Right, that's what it is.
When I'm judging someone else, typically I'm usually avoiding
something inside of me, and sowe need to shift the lens inward
.
So, as I always say, turn thegaze inward, and not with shame,
but just with curiosity.

(07:15):
Can you just sit in a moment ofcuriosity?
Because judgment typicallypoints to something unhealed to
something unhealed, typicallysomething that is unseen or
misunderstood within us.
I mean gosh, when you reallythink of it that way, there is

(07:38):
so much freedom in liberationand viewing it with that lens
and understanding that we cantake 100% ownership of every
experience we're having in life, because it all comes back to us
.
We are the co-creator of ourlife experience, so shift that
lens inward, remain curious, pause and notice when judgment

(07:58):
comes up.
Stop and ask yourself what am Iactually feeling underneath all
of this?
Just ask yourself what am Ireally feeling?
There's so many emotions andfeelings that come up in every
space prior to judgment.
And think of it.
So many people are on autopilotwith judgment, especially with

(08:20):
social media.
When you're scrolling away andthen you find yourself in the
doom scroll and you're justconstantly casting judgments.
Whether you think you are ornot, you are subconsciously
casting a judgment based on howsomeone is showing up online,
even when you know them.
Watch what comes up for you, like oh, who do they think they

(08:41):
are being so bold?
Really, is there a problem withthat?
Is there a problem just notcelebrating someone for standing
up and just shining bright?
Think about that.
Why would that bother you thatsomeone is actually stepping
into their power, that they'veevolved past the pain and hurt

(09:02):
and stagnation and they'reshining bright and leading from
a space of clarity andconviction and love.
You're going to judge thatSomething tells me there's
something inside of you going onthat is still unhealed, because
why in the world would you dothat?
That's what I'm trying to getat is there's so many
conversations taking place thataren't even real, that are

(09:27):
coming from your own unhealedpain, unhealed wounds, and that
is what is really running theshow every day.
And so no wonder you're notexperiencing all of the bliss
and abundance and opportunitiesthat you really want to
experience.
No wonder you're not calling inthat love that you deeply

(09:48):
desire.
No wonder you're not havingthose deep-rooted,
high-integrity friendships.
No wonder you're not making themoney that you really want to
make.
You're busy casting stones.
So pause and notice and ask andremain curious.
What am I actually feelingunderneath all of this?

(10:12):
Because it all comes back toyou.
Another question you can pose isis this showing me a part of
myself I'm either denying?
Are you denying somethingwithin yourself?
What are you suppressing orwhat are you craving?
Maybe you want to be seen, maybe you want to have that

(10:34):
confidence to show up so boldand bright in life every single
day.
Maybe you desire that deep, loving relationship, maybe you
want that marriage, maybe youwant that career.
Maybe that's what's reallytriggering you is that you don't
have it and you crave it sodeeply.

(10:55):
So name the mirror what is itreally?
And then offer compassionInstead of spiraling in shame.
Can you offer love to the partof you that's feeling lack?
Maybe that's feeling fear orinsecurity?
Offer compassion to yourselfinstead of spiraling, and then

(11:19):
reclaim your energy.
Come back home to yourself.
Breathe, move, shake it offlike do something, focus on your
own dang lane and vision.
Stay in your lane, focus onyourself, nurture your own
beingness and the fruits of yourlabor and watch your life
literally expand in ways thatyou never thought possible,

(11:43):
because you're pulling back theenergy and honoring yourself,
your vision, your truth and allthe things that you crave so
deeply.
Pull it back, focus on you.
It's an energetic reframe.
When we stop judging, weactually create space for
compassion.
Yes, it's that easy, and withcompassion comes connection,

(12:06):
with compassion comes clarityand with compassion, friends,
actual expansion can happen.
If you want to truly expand inlife, if you want to evolve to a
whole new level and way ofbeing and break free from the
chains and the cage that isholding you captive, then you
have got to find a way to createspace for compassion.

(12:29):
And if there's one thing I wantyou to really lock in, not just
your mind but in your heart andyour soul, is that judgment
keeps you in the old story.
It is keeping you stuck.
It's not just a block, itliterally, energetically, is
anchoring you into that stuckenergy that you have right now,

(12:54):
that feeling that you cannot getout of because you're judging
every dang thing that'shappening in your life.
When you're anchored intojudgment, you can't fly into
your future.
There's absolutely no way youcan't fly into your future.
There's absolutely no way.
When you have judgment as youranchor, nothing's going to shift
.
So use this as an invitation tosoften, to release, to let go,

(13:17):
to surrender.
Just to look at what you'reprojecting, to meet the parts of
you still afraid, maybe of yourown bigness, right, like where
you can be in this world.
Maybe you're just afraidbecause the truth is you're not
judging other people, you'rejudging the part of yourself

(13:38):
that really wants to be free.
I am so passionate about thisprocess and the women and men
that I'm working with right now.
We're all in a shift like noother.
It is so amazing and I'm in aspace right now where it's so
delicious, it's so fulfillingand there's just so much joy in

(14:00):
my life because I am helpingserve others from my own
experiences too not just fromwhat I've learned and all my
certifications and licensing andtherapy programs and healing
programs and personaldevelopment programs and
transformational programs andall the things, and so if you
can just allow yourself to crackyourself open and release all

(14:24):
that is holding you back fromexperiencing a life of true
bliss and abundance, oh my gosh,it is so phenomenal, friends.
It's the best feeling in theentire world, and this is the
shift that I pray for all of youto experience, because when we
reclaim the energy that's beentrapped in resentment, you can

(14:47):
rewrite that inner code thatsays stay small, I'm not worthy,
or they did this to me, like no, all of that goes away and you
finally create space for theversion of you that no longer
needs projection at all.
It's not even a part of yourbeing anymore.
So if this is something thatyou feel called to dive deeper

(15:10):
in, if you're ready to shift, then I've created an incredible
community.
Right now we are launching in acouple months, bringing on a lot
of guest speakers to come inthat many of you, I believe, in
this space follow online.
They're pretty well known.
So this is going to be anincredible movement called the
Shift and it's just an immenselyimpactful, very deep journey

(15:35):
back to yourself so you can riseout of these anchors that
you've been experiencing ofresentment and pain and struggle
, and you can process all thepain so you can completely feel
freedom and liberation and trueexpansion.
Because you know what is thedeath of your expansion?

(15:58):
That's holding you back.
It's judgment.
It is one of the biggest blocksholding you back from your next
evolution.
