I'm speaking on undervaluedseasons of life, why that
breakdown often means yourbreakthrough.
I know this because I've beenthrough it time and time again,
and when I can sit in reflection, like really sink into it and
look back, I'm like oh my gosh,yep, that is exactly what I

(02:52):
needed to go through.
It was actually an incrediblegift.
But it never feels like that,does it?
Like when you're in the muck?
You're in it and you're likewhat the heck Right?
Like we just get into all thesemonkey mind conversations.
Why am I going through this?
Why haven't I been able to kickthis?

(03:13):
Or why is this personconstantly showing up this way?
And so, if I can just lend myperspective on how I've been
able to now zoom out and look ateverything and I'm like, uh-huh
, okay, I got it, check, check,check, noted.
I'm no longer going to sit inthat mindset of why me Not that

(03:38):
I usually will go, why me?
I'm a victim, nothing like thatbut why is this happening again
?
Or why can't I move throughthis with greater ease?
And so I personally can seeevery situation truly as a gift,

(04:01):
and I seriously mean that.
And moving forward into thisnext season, this next chapter
that I'm shifting through, itjust allows more space to
actually sink into a situationand lean into it, rather than
allowing the emotion to takeover, because that can happen so

(04:21):
quickly.
You're in it and it's sodifficult to get out of it
sometimes, and that emotion canactually have so much power over
you, if you allow it.
You see, I know from experiencethat we can be our greatest
strengths and we can really bethe champion that we need.

(04:43):
It is inside of us.
We don't need someone else tobe there.
Yes, it helps to have thatcommunity and that tribe,
absolutely, but at the end ofthe day, it's up to us, because
you can have your raving fansand your raving community and
your therapist and your coachand your mentor and all the

(05:04):
things around you supporting youand lifting you and guiding you
.
At the end of the day, it's upto you, and so I just want to
have this episode be anopportunity for you to stay
curious, to allow thatself-inquiry to go a little bit

(05:26):
deeper, to lean in with adifferent perspective.
Just allow space for that.
Maybe you just need to checkyourself.
Maybe you just need to let goof the attachments and the ego
and all the things that hold ushostage.
Just let it go and just go.

(05:47):
Okay, maybe there is somethingthat I'm not seeing, maybe
there's a blind spot.
Maybe I can just take fiveminutes out of my day and listen
to Chrissy, talk away and offerup a different perspective.
We are going through lifetogether and it's so refreshing
when someone can just be so openand honest and vulnerable and

(06:08):
transparent and just give it howit is as to what they're moving
through, because you can learnso much.
There's so much to learn fromone another.
I learn from my clients in mycoaching programs.
I learn from my women in myretreats.
I'm constantly learning as I'mleading and I think that's a
really important message toreally sink in is, you know, we

(06:29):
can be in a leadership role, butif we're so attached to our ego
and our titles and all thethings that, honestly, they
don't mean anything.
They don't.
I'm just going to say it,that's how it is, it's not.
You cannot allow yourself tobecome so attached to people,
places, things, titles, becauseyou will find yourself in a cage
and you will find yourself soembedded into the program that

(06:53):
you created that when things dopop up and you need to pivot and
I say that with love, like youneed to pivot, otherwise you
will stay stuck.
You cannot allow theattachments to overrule your
freedom in life, and I've donethat and I can see that now,
looking back.
I allowed so many things inmoments to hold me so tightly

(07:17):
that it was so difficult to makea decision.
I know what that's like.
It's the scariest thing in theworld.
When you're in that moment.
You're like God, I need to leapright now, but I just can't.
And I'm like why?
Why is this so hard for me tomake this decision?
Because I know in my mind it'sright, but my body is like no.

(07:39):
Well, I have a solution for youand it really comes down to
feeling safe, feeling safe inyour body, feeling safe in your
soul, feeling safe, safe, safe,like when you can just feel safe
within, it's so much easier tomake that shift, to make that
leap.
It really is, and this is whywe talk about the inner work,

(08:00):
because the inner work is thework that will allow you to win
in life, because the inner workis the work that will allow you
to win in life.
Hands down and I know becauseI've avoided so many spaces of
committing to it, oftentimesbecause I've allowed my ego to
lead the way, and not ego in thesense of a bad thing we all
have ego.
It's just getting out of themind and getting into the body

(08:21):
and feeling super safe andsupported, and this is what I
teach my clients in our sessions.
This is what I help guide themthrough.
There are so many modalitiesthat we can use in order to
shift this inside of our body.
There's breath work, there'schanting, there's singing,
there's dancing, there'sclinical hypnosis.
There's so many things we cando to help shift that stuck

(08:46):
energy, and so I wanted to firststart this episode off with
some practices that you can doright now that will help you
activate your inner knowing,activate your energy field to
really show up and lean into allthe things that life brings the

(09:08):
icky, the fun, the in-between,all of it with so much more
confidence.
It feels so good when you canface something head on, whether
it's a difficult conversation,whether it's just your own fear,
you know like just your ownfear.
You're like all right, I'mtired of letting this control my

(09:31):
life.
I'm going to go just do thedamn thing or show up for myself
, or make the decision, or takethis leap of faith or whatever
that looks like for you.
Do not believe for one momentthat you are the only one going
through a challenging season oflife.
Just not for one moment.

(09:52):
We all are.
It may look all glitzy and glamon social, but I'm here to tell
you right now that God's honesttruth is that every single
human being is going throughsomething in their life, every
single one, and it's a choicethat they've made to navigate

(10:13):
that with a different attitude,mindset and skill set that
they've allowed themselves toacquire, to show up in a
different way.
That's all it is.
It's not this.
She or he is more special thanI, or they have something better
than me.
Like, let that all go, that'sjust your mind spinning out of

(10:37):
control, creating stories thataren't even true, right?
So let's just let that go andlet's come back to the truth
that it all comes back to you,and the choices you make will
dictate how you will experiencethis thing called life.
That's it.

(10:57):
Whether you're going throughchallenging health issues,
relationships, financialsetbacks, whatever it looks like
for you, you're not alone andyou can navigate this with so
much more grace and freedom thanyou ever thought possible, and
it all comes down to yourperspective and how you choose

(11:20):
to navigate the situation.
So, no more pep talk, no more.
You know, christy, going on atangent, I'm just going to shift
into how I can help you.
Right, that's what you're herefor.
How can you help me?
Just give me the dang thing.
That's what I'm going to do.
So I want to start withsomething that may seem kind of

(11:40):
silly, and I just ran one of myclients through it yesterday and
it's just so fun.
Like it's a fun exercise.
I've done it before, I haven'tdone it in a really long time,
and so it was really enjoyableto move through it again.
And I did a session on my ownafter my client session and it
just it was so good.

(12:02):
I'm like, how come I don't dothat more often?
You know like I can show up onmy sessions and guide my clients
through amazing experiences.
And then I'm like, chrissy,hello, you know that works, so
why aren't you doing it?
So I, yeah, I checked myself.
I got real, real, real.

(12:22):
So diving in this is calledvoice activation and it works
because sound is a directpathway to your nervous system
and your energy centers in thebody, especially the throat,
which is so many of us have somany issues with our throat

(12:42):
chakra.
Why do you think it's becausewe hold suppressed truth, fear
and self-expression.
So when we activate our voice,so much can flow through.
It allows space for all of thatstuckness inside your body to

(13:03):
now release.
So I know everyone typicallywill think of modalities like
meditation or sound baths.
Right, like this is the popularoutlets for us to go to when we
feel we need to release or letgo or breath work, right, very
common?
Yeah, for years and years andyears.

(13:23):
This is all you see online ortalk about.
But do you know your own voice?
The way you activate it isactually complete and utter
freedom.
It's peaceful, it's comfortingand it's fulfilling.
You just feel elevated.
When I did this before we gointo it, when I did this in a

(13:45):
class setting a while back, wedid it for an hour and I'm not
even hitting you, I waslevitating.
It was so amazing, and so I'mgoing to guide you through it
right now to help you shiftthrough any sort of stuckness
you're feeling inside your body,and I want you to start with a

(14:06):
soft hum.
Just let the sound sit in yourthroat and chest.
You're not going to forceanything.
You're just going to notice thevibration and as you hum, I
want you to imagine the soundfilling your entire body, from
your root to your throat.
So we're going to focus ontorso and we're going to open up

(14:29):
vowel sounds, and these soundsaren't random.
They each carry energy.
Let the sounds move through you,saying each of the following
slowly, one at a time, and thefirst one is heart opening.
It's ah, let this one.
Crack your chest wide open andjust feel the release.

(14:53):
Okay, that's the first one.
Not a singer, so do not judge.
That's the whole point of this.
Like this is getting reallyvulnerable.
You're just going to let it goand not feel like you're being
judged.
Maybe someone there on theother end of this you know
episode is laughing.
I don't care, it helps, so youcan laugh all you want.

(15:14):
Number two is going to be oh,it's a grounding vibration.
Oh, let that sink into yourhips, your legs, the floor
beneath you.
You're just, oh, all right.
Third one is E.
This is for clarity andexpression, and you're just
going to let this vibration movethrough your entire jaw and

(15:37):
your third eye and that is E,all right, e, all right.
And the last one, this is onefor integration and truth and it
anchors all of it in.
So you're going to let itvibrate through all your bones
already, and this is a good one.

(15:58):
Everyone, a lot of people inthe yogi world, know this one.
Oh again.
Oh, all right.
So now that your voice is open,this allows you to really flow
through with so much more graceon how to show up and speak your

(16:19):
truth.
So you don't have to overthink,you just have to speak.
The first thing that rises.
It can be messy, just let it bereal.
And you're going to readthrough each prompt.
You can have someone pair thisup with somebody and then just
finish the sentence.

(16:40):
What I do if I'm alone, I dojournal writing.
So I'll put together like fiveto 10 statements that need me to
finish, and then I finish thewhole entire statement.
So I'm going to give you anexample.
The first one is the truth isdot dot dot.
You got to finish itimmediately.
The first thing that comesthrough your mind immediately.

(17:00):
Write it down or say it outloud, if you can do this either
way.
If you're a partner withsomebody, this is a lot easier.
However, if you're by yourself,it's still very beneficial.
So the truth is boom.
What's the truth for you rightnow, after you move through this
voice activation?
Second one what I've beenafraid to say is dot dot dot.

(17:21):
Third one if I wasn'tperforming or people pleasing
that's a big one I'd finallyadmit.
What would you finally admit ifyou weren't people pleasing?
Fourth, I am no longeravailable for dot dot dot.
And five the most powerfulversion of me says dot dot dot.

(17:42):
Those are some examples ofprompts that will help you
activate your truth.
It's going to activate what'sreally inside of you.
This is you, all of you.
This is a great exercise to movethrough.
It's allowing you to open upall those energy centers and

(18:03):
just speak your truth, let itall out, let it shine.
No judgment, just let it rip.
You are safe to speak.
Let it rip, you are safe tospeak.
This is your space, yourunfiltered self.
So use this exercise everysingle day.
Like anything, repetition is key.
Anything you want to improve,expand on release, repetition is

(18:29):
key.
So move through that processand you will feel a completely
different shift.
I promise you you will feel ashift.
Allow this to become your go-toexercise and practice, for a
few weeks at least.
If you're meditating awesome,that's great.
I'm not discounting meditation.
I do it daily.

(18:50):
This is just another addedbonus to really get inside your
body and open up.
So if you're in that space rightnow, if things are feeling
heavy or unknown or likeeverything is just crumbling
down, just utilize this practice.
You're not lost, you're justgetting reconnected.

(19:11):
That's what this is.
So you can look at it this wayYou're being invited to access
deeper alignment, and thatdoesn't happen by constantly
repeating affirmations.
It happens by getting insideyour body.
All right, so use this as yourinitiation, and there's a couple
of ways you can also accessmore self-compassion and trust,

(19:34):
and those are obviously journalprompts, and one that I like
using is what if this isn'tfalling apart?
What if it's really fallinginto place?
I have reminded myself time andtime again when I'm really in
the heat of it, like what ifthings aren't falling apart?
What if I can just let go andlet God?

(19:55):
What if I can release thisclingy attachment that I have
onto this because I want it towork out this way so bad?
What if it's not for me?
What if it needs to fall apart?
Because in order for things tofall into place, I have to
release the attachment?
So that's just a journal promptshift that I have written down

(20:19):
from time and time again.
That has served me well.
And then, of course, the somaticcheck-in, which, really looking
inside your body, which is whatI just guided you through and
where am I holding onto controlin my body?
And what would it feel like ifI released it and just softened
that voice activation exerciseis a great way to do a body

(20:43):
check-in and clear everything up.
How about this question?
What has this season given methat I wouldn't have received
otherwise?
Ooh, sit with that, that's sodelicious.
What has this season given methat I wouldn't have received

(21:05):
otherwise?
This is a very powerfulquestion, reflection question,
because it can be related toeven the darkest seasons of your
life.
We think it's the worst, andI'm not saying it's not like
death of a loved one orfinancial ruin or messy breakup

(21:26):
or a diagnosis of a health issuemessy breakup or a diagnosis of
a health issue.
I'm not saying it's not painfulor awful, even.
All I'm saying is to reframe itand look at that season and

(21:48):
what it gave you that you wouldnever have received had you
never gone through that seasonof life.
I know women who've gone throughhorrific seasons with breast
cancer and watching my own momnavigate her cancer journey and
watching her whittle away infront of me, it's the worst
thing ever.
But in turn her season giftedso many people and I know

(22:15):
including herself in a reallyroundabout way.
We think we're so invincible.
You're like, oh, it's not goingto happen to me, or my parents
are never going to die becausethat just happens to everyone
else, or I'm never going toreceive a cancer diagnosis, or
I'm never going to havefinancial ruin.
Most people feel invincible.

(22:37):
I've been there at times whereI'm like, oh, my God, that's so
tragic, that's so terrible, thathappened to you, but you think
it's not going to happen to me,right?
No, this is part of life.
This is part of just theexperience of it all.
And if we can become soconnected within, like really in

(23:00):
tune to our bodies, we cannavigate this whole process with
a little more love andunderstanding and compassion,
and not just for others but moreimportantly, for ourselves.
We can feel so safe within,even through the darkest of

(23:23):
hours.
And I know again, because Ilived it and because of it I'm
able to hold space for thetransformation in others.
And whether that's in my sacredshift, therapy sessions, or
it's the retreats that Ifacilitate or the events that

(23:45):
I'm curating right now, I knowI'm able to really lead now
because I've been through somuch and I can look at it now
with a lens of love and truecompassion and as a gift.
And so, if you're navigatingyour own unraveling right now,

(24:09):
trust that something beautifulis being born, not in spite of
this, but because of it.

It's impossible.

growth activation all the thingsthat you need to expand and
evolve into your greatest levelright now.
This is where nervous systemhealing fuels next level

Whatever you are going throughright now, whatever you are
going through right now, allowit to be a gift for your next

Allow it, just lean into it.
Don't fear it.

Just start being very proactiveon how you can help yourself
feel safe in navigating throughit.
What I provided today in thisepisode is a great tool, a great
practice to utilize.
So be intentional with whatyou're doing on a daily basis
and how you're showing up foryourself, whether it is voice

activation practices or maybe itis a swim in the pool.
Swimming is great, too, to helpmove your body and energy, and
it's very supportive andnourishing.
Maybe it is a hike on abeautiful sunny day.
Whatever that looks like foryou, just start being so
intentional on allowing yourselfto lean into what you're moving

through right now rather than alens of judgment and fear.
