How comfortable are you letting the people in your life be uncomfortable? In this episode I explore why our well-intentioned attempts to fix, problem-solve, and rescue people from their emotional discomfort often backfire. I share about the counterintuitive way that letting each other be uncomfortable actually deepens connection and reduces loneliness. I also share one of my favorite guiding principles to help us interrupt our knee jerk ways of listening, and do something different that allows us to show up more meaningfully for the people in our lives.
