(00:21):
hair or if you're just lookingfor a lightweight, undetectable

(00:43):
I'm your host, denise Keilitz,a former salon owner, educator
and a lifelong hair crusader.
Whether you're a new stylistbuilding your book or just
someone who loves learning aboutall things hair, you're in the
right place.
Hey there, thank you so muchfor tuning in today.
(01:07):
I'm so excited to share thisnew certification that I'm
getting ready to get started on,but before we get going, I
wanted to just kind of touchbase on everything that happened
last week.
If you got my newsletter lastweek, you already know I was
celebrating some really bigindustry news, like the Modern
Salon 100 list, where a stylistwho once worked in my salon was
(01:32):
recognized for her curlexpertise.
Her name's Lauren Taylor.
She's at Unity Hair Co.
If you look her up on Instagram, I will leave a link in the
show notes.
Her work is incredible and it'ssuch a proud moment Anytime
that I could celebrate one of mypast employees.
Oh my gosh, you know that's howthe world works.
(01:52):
You've got to hold each otherup.
You've got to celebrate all thebig wins in each other's lives,
right?
But I also shared some of thebest beauty awards 2025.
I gave you five hair care picksand there's a lot more.
I think there was like 45different haircare items in the
(02:12):
best of beauty awards category.
I actually went out and boughta few.
I'll have to tell you how theygo once I use them.
Plus, I also told you about mynew podcast on client pain
points and, oh my gosh, so manyof you have listened to that.
I can't believe it.
It just goes to show you that alot of clients and stylists
(02:37):
well, they're not on the samepage half the time.
The stylists think they'regiving a great consultation,
they're doing all the things, and clients usually have horror
stories.
I have talked to so many peoplethat have such crazy stories of
just being so disappointed inthe salon.
If you're one of those people,or if you're a stylist and
you're trying to get better, youmight want to go listen to that
(02:59):
podcast, because it really doesgive you some advice on how to
make the salon experience justbetter overall.
And then I also did a YouTubevideo where I go off on why
thinning shears drive meabsolutely crazy.
Yes, I said it, thinning shears.
My best video on YouTube is allabout how to use thinning
(03:21):
shears.
It's got over half a millionviews on there.
It's crazy, I know, but I neveruse thinning shears.
I'm just going to be plainhonest.
I don't use the things.
I have a few pair but I teachwith them, but I really do not
grab them to cut people's hair.
I just think that there'sbetter ways and more
(03:43):
controllable ways to remove bulkfrom the hair.
So if you're interested in that, if you've had your hair I
don't know destroyed by thinningshears, that's kind of a fun
little video to go look at.
But if you didn't catch thatnewsletter, make sure you head
over to my website and getsigned up so you don't miss out
on weekly news.
(04:04):
I typically give out hairadvice or new trends or new
products or I don't know, whatever's on my mind.
Um usually goes out on Fridaymornings, so go over there, get
signed up.
I would love to have you aspart of this community.
All right, let's get on withthis episode about MicroPoint
Solutions.
I'm really excited about this.
(04:26):
I have to be honest with you.
I saw this on Instagram afellow hairstylist that I know
she was showing this service andI'd never seen it before, and
so I called her and I meant toget her on my podcast and talk
to her, or even a video of it.
(04:47):
I meant to go down there to hersalon it's not too far away and
take a video, and it justdidn't work out.
It was around the holidays lastyear, but I do a lot of you
know clients and they're my ageor or older, and so many of my
clients tell me the same story Ilove my hair, but it's just
(05:10):
thinning at the front.
Tell you the truth, that wouldbe me and it's thinning all over
the place.
Or they say I wish I had morecoverage at the crown.
I get it, totally get it.
Or they just they don't wantextensions because they never
worked for them, or becausethey're too heavy, or that they
show because their hair is sofine, totally get it.
(05:33):
I've worn extensions before, just for a brief moment, because
I was a model for one of ourstylists.
And wow, they do.
They are heavy, let me just say.
And if you've got fragile hairor hair that's, you feel like
thinning, falling out, sheddinga lot, you definitely don't want
to put heavy extensions on thathair because the weight of it
(05:55):
and the tension of it couldactually thin your hair even
more.
There are stories like that.
So if you've ever felt this way, you are not alone, because
these micro point solution hairextensions oh my gosh, it's like
nothing, nothing's out therethat I've ever seen.
These are designed for thedelicate areas where your
(06:19):
thinning usually starts, likeyour hairline.
Trust me, you won't even seethem the part line, part line,
your bang area or your recessionarea.
What this does is it hang tight.
I'll get to exactly what itdoes, but in a brief, brief
summary, it's basically you'readding density to the hair by
(06:43):
tying between two to six hairsonto one hair.
Yes, onto one hair.
You are tying this littlebundle, baby bundle of hair.
Like, say, you were doing thehairline and you had very thin
hair, you would tie two hairs toevery one hair, so you're
(07:05):
basically doubling the densityof that area.
Most people get the four hairsto one hair.
You don't do this all over thehead.
You pick an area and I'll get tothe details.
Hold on, I'm just kind ofsummarizing so you guys know
what I'm kind of talking about.
You pick an area of the head.
So say your bang area is reallythin, you could see through it.
(07:27):
It really bugs you.
So say your bang area is reallythin, you could see through it,
it really bugs you.
Then what I would do is I wouldselect that area and it would
take about two and a half threehours to actually tie in about
600 of these little hairs.
I know they are non-detectable.
You could brush through them.
They shed with your hair.
(07:49):
You can curl them.
You can't color them.
So you do have to match it tothe hair color that you have.
I'll get to it.
I have it all written down here, so I'm going to go through my
notes.
This is designed for the top ofthe head, from the curve of the
head up.
So that's an area thattraditional hair extensions.
It doesn't cover Traditionalhair.
So that that's an area thattraditional hair extensions.
It doesn't cover traditionalhair extensions.
(08:11):
If you get them past the curveof the head up, you will be able
to see them, and women don'tthin underneath Typically, they
thin up top.
So this is the first solutionthat I have seen that really
looks like it might be a winner.
Okay, game changer, let's juststart from the top.
(08:34):
For years, the industry has beenlimited in options.
Yeah, we've got, we have wigs,we have toppers and we have the
traditional extensions, but manyof those can feel like coverups
.
I've had people tell me thatthat they feel like they don't
feel like themselves becausethey're afraid the wind's going
to blow.
They don't always integrateseamlessly into your natural
(08:57):
hair, especially around thehairline, and clients want
solutions that feel comfortable, that look natural and don't
cause any additional damage ontheir existing hair.
Right.
So that's why I'm so excitedabout MicroPoint Links and
MicroPoint Accents.
(09:18):
So let me break them down.
Sense.
So let me break them down.
Micropoint links is perfect forthe front, the crown and the
top areas.
They are virtually undetectable.
They thicken your hairinstantly up to 600 more density
in just one session.
There's no adhesives, no tape,no coverup, no damage.
(09:43):
They're locked onto your ownhair and they grow out naturally
with your strands.
And here's the best part I'llhave options to customize
Depending on your needs.
We can add 50, 100, or 150strands at a time.
The hair itself is made fromcyber hair at a time.
The hair itself is made fromcyber hair.
It's a premium fiber that'sstronger, lighter and more fade
(10:13):
resistant than human hair.
Yet it looks, it feels and itmoves just like the real thing.
How cool is that?
Now the accents are actuallydesigned, they've got a little
bit more hair to them.
I think it's 100 to 150 hairsper little micro point accent.
Those are designed for the sidesof your hair.
You know, above your ear toyour cheekbone.
You know how we always thin outthere.
They're perfect for theperimeter of your hair.
(10:35):
You can also put them reallyclose to the hairline because
they are virtually invisible, and so that way, when you pull
up a ponytail, you won't seebeads, you won't see tape, you
won't see anything becausethey're pretty much invisible.
Say, your hair is real damagedand you want to add highlights
(10:56):
or fullness or dimension.
You can add pops of color withthese accents.
It really is creative.
So both methods are supergentle, durable and designed
specifically for people whothought extensions were not an
option.
So what does this mean for you?
If you've ever been strugglingwith thinning hair at your
(11:18):
hairline or your crown, man orwoman, there's finally a safe
and natural solution.
If you've wanted more volumewithout heavy extensions, this
is it.
If you've been hesitant to trysomething new because you worry
about damage, the MicroPointtechnology was designed with
that in mind.
It's light, it's strong and itblends beautifully.
(11:41):
I cannot tell you.
I mean, go look on theirwebsite.
I'll leave the links in theshow notes and once I'm
certified, I'm going to becreating exclusive videos to
show you exactly how thetechnique works.
Plus, hopefully, I get somestunning before and afters.
I already got like three peoplelined up to be my models so you
(12:02):
can see the transformation foryourself.
I'm really excited to do this, Ihave to say, because so many
people, including myself, thinning hair is an issue, and
also it's an issue with a lot ofyounger people, because after
COVID I don't know, do you knowanybody that's losing their hair
(12:22):
and it's because of COVID orstress, or maybe the stuff in
our food or plastics, or thelist can go on and on.
Whole other conversation there.
So if you've got concernedabout thinning hair.
This might be something you'reinterested in, so stay tuned.
This is just the beginning, Itell you.
(12:43):
If you've been waiting for ahair solution that gives you
believable fullness withoutcompromise, these micro point
links might be the answer.
Keep an eye out for my upcomingvideos, where I'm going to show
you the process and real liferesults.
And remember, when you knowbetter, you do better.
