The FIFA World Cup is around the corner and there has been a lot of controversy around Qatar being the host nation.
It started off with Qatar winning a bid that was due to corruption within FIFA with Sepp Blatter at the helm. After that, Qatar has been guilty of human rights violations with around 1,200 migrant workers dying due to inhumane working conditions.
However, there are lots of other things that the media does not consider and chooses to drive their own narrative, which is typically western and developed nation ideologies as they push their own agendas.
We discuss all of these aspects around the FIFA World Cup which will be held in December rather than typically summer times, and the impact it can have on players and league football across the major European nations.
These are simply our opinions and thoughts on the matter. We condemn any acts of human rights violations but that is just one aspect of Qatar hosting the World Cup, and there is a lot more to it than meets the eye.
