Leanne  is a registered psychologist in Brisbane, Australia.  She doesn't keep her valuable information to herself in her psychology practice. Nope, she shares it with parents to empower them to know how to help their child with psychology informed information.

She's our kinda' girl!

In this episode, we talk about something that all neurodivergent kids struggle with due to living in a world that is designed for neurotypical brains - negative thinking patterns about themselves and about the world.
As parent, it is hard to know the right thing to say to our kids and it is easy to second guess if we are saying the right thing, or causing more damage.

Leanne sorts us out with how to help our children get out of those negative thinking cycles when they say "I'm dumb" or "I am bad at everything". These tips are now responses that I now use with my own kids.

We also dive deep into the diagnostic process. We talk about when to seek a diagnosis and I get Leanne to walk you through the exact process from start to finish when seeking a diagnosis of any kind. It's not always the right thing to jump in and make an appointment straight away and we will explain why.

Sit back, relax and get all warm and cozy with this not-to-miss episode.
