Hello and welcome to episode 333of The All.
Systems Go sports betting podcast powered by Rhythm.
I'm your host, Josh Applebaum. What's going on, everyone?
Happy Monday, a new week begins. As we.
Roll through the early. Portion of August football is in
(00:41):
full swing. Who's been playing these overs?
Unbelievable. 12 and 2 the overshere.
Of course, to start the preseason, if you were living
under a rock, maybe you didn't know, but it's been a big topic
of conversation. Why are we seeing such a higher?
Scoring games than usual. Well, if you've been playing
these overs, you're happy to seehim.
And then dogs, Dogs 11 and threeagainst the spread to start the
(01:02):
preseason. So it's all been dogs and overs.
I'm already. Looking at NFL Week 2, we.
Do have a couple games coming uphere or?
Pre season Week 2. Couple games coming up on Friday
the 15th. And then we have a.
Bunch of games on Saturday, think there's 11 games overall
and then a couple games on Sunday.
And I'm already seeing all. These totals way higher than
week. One week, one we had, you know,
30. 334-3536 Totals right now are 30.
(01:25):
Eight and a half, 41 1/2 forty we've.
Definitely seen an adjustment here on the part of the books
and for good reason because we're seeing these points
basically come off the board very quickly here, so.
It'll be interesting to see thisweek.
You know, do overs continue to fly over or?
Do you see a few more starters on defense limit these games?
In terms of point production andthen also will there be an over
(01:48):
adjustment where the public says, hey, this NFL?
Pre season thing is easy. Take the dog.
Take the over. Better yet.
Parlay them together. Hint hint.
We don't like parlays, but hey, we'll be seeing adjustment.
Where maybe there's some opportunity to buy low on some
unders inflated line unders going into Week 2.
But either way, we'll kind of give that a few days to to
(02:08):
develop and definitely want to get some reports on Twitter and
across the market of who's playing and who's not.
But typically again, you're downto 3/3.
Preseason games, it used to be. Four-game.
Two. Usually you see more of these
starting. Caliber players get in there and
start to play, so something to keep an eye out for, but that
was definitely the topic of conversation over the weekend.
Man, just overs and dogs. Unbelievable.
(02:29):
But anyway, guys. It is a Monday.
As we kick. Off a new week and get.
Back into the swing of things. But more importantly, I buried
the lead. It is Christmas Eve.
It is New Year's Eve. It's the first day before
school. Maybe that's not a great
comparison, but it's. Christmas Eve, because tomorrow
the NFL sharp betting playbook. Officially comes out again.
(02:50):
The date of my second book beingreleased.
August 12th, 2025, it seemed like.
Such a. Long off number like I remember
when I, you know, wrote the bookand then I finally.
Teamed up with Triumph. Books through my literary agent
David Black Literary. Agency.
And, you know, this was probablyabout a year and a half ago and
it's like, yeah, August 12th, 2025.
And it's like, OK, it's finally here, so.
(03:11):
I can't believe it. But really, really excited and
I've seen. A lot of you tweet to me that
you've pre-ordered the book. On Amazon.com.
That means the world. To me, I so very much appreciate
it and it's kind of funny when Iwas at.
Mohegan Sun over. The past four days and I got to
tell you I have like a three daylimit when it comes to staying
at a sports book or staying at acasino.
It's great the first three days, but then like.
(03:33):
Any food, anytime you get food. It's going to cost a lot of
money. You want to play or do anything
else that cost money too. So it's like I got, I got to get
back to like, you know. Annie's Mac and.
Cheese and kind of get back on my my grind here, but I had a
great time. If I didn't mention this, I
think I did before, but my brother is an artist.
And he had a booth at. Terrificon, which is basically
the Comic Con of of New England here.
(03:54):
And me and the. Wife we tagged along, we had a
we got a had a great room, had agreat.
Time at Mohegan. Sun Actually, my aunt and uncle
met up with us yesterday, which is really cool.
We had lunch with them. So that was pretty awesome.
And, and you know what I'm goingto tell you?
I'm going to be. Geek out a little.
Bit I used to love. I'm 38 years old, OK?
I used to love the Teenage Mutant Ninja.
Turtles and I got. To meet the people.
(04:15):
Who created the Mutant Ninja Turtles and then my?
Favorite Ninja Turtles movie? It was like the.
Return of the. Ooze or something, but it was a.
Movie and it. Was with Vanilla Ice who did the
go ninja go ninja go at the veryend of it and I was able.
To meet. The creators and the main
character. So I was pretty cool and I also
met. I didn't meet him, but I saw.
(04:37):
Short round. Who was the He was in the
Everything Everywhere All at Once, But he was, more
importantly, short round in Indiana Jones.
He was there. Guy from The Walking Dead was
there, so it was pretty cool andI was able to again hobnob with
some some famous artists. That was a lot of fun.
But anyway. I buried the lead.
Because the book comes out tomorrow, I don't know if I'll
be able to sleep at night tonight, but it's pretty
(05:00):
exciting. It's been a long way coming and
a couple days at Mohegan Sun, meand the wife, we would hang by
the pool and I brought a copy ofmy book and I started rereading.
It and I'm like. Man, this is this.
Is pretty good. I was.
Pretty proud of it. And it's kind of funny if you
ever write a book, once it gets published like I have, you know?
Reread every single. Page 1,000,000 times.
Looking for any error. Any typo?
Missed apostrophe. You know, wrong.
(05:22):
Team name miss capitalized something a period here that
shouldn't be there. And as I'm rereading the book
I'm like terrified to find any typos but luckily no typos have
been seen. So really excited but.
Anyway, I want to. Thank you guys for pre ordering
a copy of the NFL Sharp Betting Playbook.
If you go to. Barnes and.
Noble or any bookstore? Across America tomorrow.
It should be on the shelves. And if you pre.
(05:43):
Ordered it. It should get dropped off your
house tomorrow by one of Jeff Bezos's drones, but if you would
like. To support the team.
And if you like to see what I'vebeen.
Working on for three. Plus years at this point and
also I think you're going to geta lot out of it.
We got a lot of angles here and we haven't really sweat football
for quite a while, so it's goingto get you your juices flowing
back into the swing of things. And I spent again.
(06:04):
Three years. Going through three full NFL
seasons. Not just Weeks One through 17,
but the offseason. The preseason.
The Super Bowl, so I'm really pumped that it'll finally be out
there and the public can can have at it.
If you'd like to support the team, please, you can still
pre-order a copy today for Amazon.com, the NFL Sharp
Betting Playbook, or you can just pick it up in person at
(06:24):
Barnes and Noble tomorrow. Or you can still.
Order on Amazon. But anyway, with that being
said. As the book launches tomorrow,
I'm back. From Mohegan Sun.
We got to get back to doing whatwe love to do.
Which is betting data. Driven, sharp, contrarian plays
and we have nothing else to bet on today other than Major League
Baseball and that's OK with me we have a kind of a bigger than
usual slate Mondays sometimes I get. 7-8 games we do have. 11
(06:46):
here for tonight. I did.
Find 3 that caught my eye. So as always guys, a three pack.
Let's try to go 2 and one. Eke out a winning day before
before the book launches tomorrow.
Maybe we'll get some some book juju that'll help us with the
gambling gods tonight. But anyway guys, 3 pack let's.
Try to get. Two of them.
Let's waste no more time and get.
Right after it. First one on the board seven O
5. PM, Eastern Time.
(07:06):
First pitch we got the MinnesotaTwins.
Visiting the New York Yankees. The twins come in. 56 and 61.
They had a bunch of trades at the deadline and actually.
Been pretty. Competitive ever since they did
just take two out of three against the Royals.
They won yesterday's series finale 5 to 3 as a -110 home
pick em. On the other hand, the Yankees.
62 and 50. 6 and man they are falling off a Cliff right now.
(07:29):
The tabloids are ripping them apart.
You got Aaron Boone getting injected left and right, the
bullpens blowing it bad. News on the Yankees and as a
contrarian. Value driven better.
I want to buy low on this bad. News with the Yankees Hint hint.
I like the Yankees tonight. Even though they did just lose 2
out of three against the Strohs, they lost. 7 to 1 yesterday as a
-. 225 home favorite. You know things are bad when
(07:51):
you're losing 7 to 1 as a -, 200or more favorite.
Anyway, pitch match up for tonight.
Twins are. Going to go with the righty
Zebby Matthews. He's 3:00 and 3:00.
With a 5.17. ERA.
Meanwhile, the Yankees. Are going to counter with the
fellow. Righty Will Warren.
He's 6 and. Five with a 4.44 ERA now, what
have we seen across the market? This game open Yankees listed as
(08:12):
a -165 home favorite Minnesota around a + 140 row dog and
what's notable to me is that onethe Yankees are playing really
bad baseball recently, but yet they still.
Open kind. Of as a relatively heavy
favorite -165 and even though. They've struggled the betting.
Market is moving further toward the Yankees.
The Yankees have gotten steamed up -165.
(08:34):
Up to -175 some shops. Even.
As high as minus. 180 so so thisis.
Always notable. To me, when the media narrative
or you turn on, you know, ESPN. Or listen to talk radio, they're
all saying. You know A, yet you know B is.
Happening across the betting market.
So the whole drama with the Yankees is they stink, they're
imploding, but yet they're having a line move in their
favor today, which again tells me smart money is buying low on
(08:57):
the Yankees. And one thing a mentor of mine
told me a very long time ago is you always want to buy on bad
news and sell on good news just because, you know, good news is
overvalued, bad news is typically undervalued.
But anyway, line is steamed up toward the Bronx Bombers.
This jumped out to me as. Well over at Circa in Vegas.
Caters to sharp money 42% of money line bets from the
(09:18):
Yankees, but they're taking intoaccount 82.
Percent of money line dollars. So out in the desert you're only
getting 4 out of 10 bets, but itaccounts for eight out of $10,
tells me. The people playing the Yankees
are putting big money down. On.
The on New York. We do have a couple system.
Matches on the Yankees Monday Home teams with a line.
Move in their favor. They're 62 and 38 this year, 62%
(09:41):
with A7. Percent ROI.
Also, if you'll get home favorites in the opening game of
a new series getting big Steam $0.20 or more, those teams are
67 and 2771%. With a 9% ROI.
New York would. Also have betting system.
Value as a non division. Favorite so lack of familiarity
benefiting quote UN quote the better team.
(10:01):
Yankees AL East of. Course Minnesota, AL Central.
And the Yankees bats. Hopefully they'll come to play
tonight. They're hitting or they have
hit. 183 home runs. They've scored 400. 596 runs.
Twins have hit 138 homers, only scored 494 runs.
And if you dig into these pictures a little bit more,
Warren going for the Yanks, he'sactually pitched pretty well at
(10:22):
home. He's five and three with a 2.88
ERA, and he's giving up two earned runs or less.
And five of his last six starts,so the.
Yankees really need. Warren to pitch well tonight.
I'm hoping that he does. Meanwhile, Zebby Matthews, he
has allowed five earned runs or more.
And two of his last four starts. So two of his last four starts,
he's really gotten lit up. And again, the Yankees need to
(10:43):
light someone up. There do for that.
And he does have a 5. .63 ERA onthe road and lastly.
Home Rd. Splits.
Twins are 12 games. Below 500 on the road, they're
24 and 36. Yankees are 35 and 24. 11 games
above 500 so again. Yankees kind of stink.
Right now or recently and it feels like you know the walls
are closing in and they're imploding, but they're getting
(11:05):
the line move in their favor andthey got a great bet split with
some system matches. So I'm going to buy low on New
York. Shop around I.
Got the Yankees? At -170. 5 I believe that was at
Bet MGM. Next one for you 7. 40 PM
Eastern Time. First pitch, let's go to the
South Side where the Chicago White Sox are hosting the
Detroit Tigers. Now going into it, we got the
(11:25):
Tigers. 68 and 51. They did just take two out of
three against the Halos. They won yesterday's series
finale against the Angels, 9:00 to 5:00 as a -1. 90 home
favorite. Other hand, we got the White
Sox. 43 and 75 on the year. They just dropped two or three
against the Guardians, but they did avoid the sweep.
They won six to four yesterday as a + 110 home dog.
(11:47):
So pitching match up here for tonight.
We got the Tigers. Going with the ready.
Chris Paddock, who they picked up at the deadline.
He's 4 and 10. With a 4.91 ERA, he had a really
good start in his debut. I think he gave up four runs his
last start. So, So White Sox, meanwhile, are
going to go. With Elvis Peguero, he's O&O
with A4. .91 ERA. And looks like he's going to be
the opener, so it's going to. Be a long bullpen game for the
(12:09):
White Sox. Now what are we seeing across
the market? This game opened Detroit around
a -, 130. Five Rd.
Favorite Chicago A + 1. 15 home dog and pros have.
Jumped on the Tigers laying pretty modest chalk on the road,
taking Detroit -135 up to -145. Some shops, even as as higher
are closing. In they're closing and I should
(12:30):
say on -1. 50 I got Detroit -142at FanDuel.
I like the splits on the Tigers.Looks like a pretty good pro and
Joe split. Obviously the public saying just
fade White Sox play Detroit, butwise guys kind of like the value
of that number when it was opening as low as again -130 -,
130. 5 but at DraftKings 80. 5% of bets.
Nearly 90% of the money is on Detroit.
(12:52):
And over at Circa in the Desert, wise guy spot. 92.
Percent of dollars. Or sorry, 92% of bets 99%.
Of dollars. So both.
DraftKings and Circa showing a nice.
Pro and Joe Low bets higher dollar split in favor of
Detroit, which aligns with the line move in their direction.
Now we got a couple system matches on the Tigers.
Favorites with a winning record off.
(13:14):
A win made the playoffs the previous year, and they're
getting at least $0.05 of line movement.
Those teams are 138 and 67. That is a 67% win rate.
A 5% ROI when they're. Favored and getting line
movement in their. Direction The Tigers in
particular are. 39 and 2066. Percent. 5% ROI.
That makes them the 5th best. Chalk with a line move team in
(13:36):
baseball so. When you're expected to win and
the market. 'S hitting you and moving the
number. Detroit's been good in that
situation. Now the Tigers do have the
better. Bats, they're hitting 251 on the
year, they've hit 154. Homers.
They've scored five. 175 runs. White Sox, meanwhile, only
hitting 229 on the year, 116 home runs with 450 two runs.
Scored. Detroit in particular also go up
(13:57):
against Righty's. We got 2 reddies on the bump.
Detroit's hitting 246. Against righty's that's. 16th in
baseball doesn't sound great. But Chicago is dead.
Last against right, He's hittingonly 220.
Five, that is 30th in baseball, mentioned Peguero looking.
To be the opener. That means it's a long bullpen
game, so hopefully that is an advantage for Detroit.
Tigers are technically 5 above 500.
(14:20):
On the road, they're 29 and 20. 7 and the white.
Sox are only 25 and 30. One at home and the Tigers, by
the way, are five and two straight up against the White
Sox this year. So we've.
Seen a line move toward Detroit? We got some good system matches,
feels like a good spot here to get a team that was really good,
hit a rough spot and is now maybe turning it back around
because that AL Central race is getting close.
(14:41):
The Guardians are not that I. Think they're only six games
back? Maybe five games back, hopefully
a good spot to back Detroit. I got the tigers -140.
Two at FanDuel. Last bat of the night 2
favorites tonight. How about a dog?
We get a dog to bark here. Let's go out to San Francisco,
9:45 PM Eastern Time, where the.Giants are hosting.
(15:02):
The San Diego Padres now coming into it, We got the pods. 66 and
52 on the year. Just took two or three against
the Red Sox. They won yesterday's series
finale 6 to 2 as a -1. 50 home favorite Meanwhile, the G men.
Right at 500. Now 59 to 59, they just lost two
or three against the Nats. They lost 8.
Nothing. Yesterday at home as a minus.
(15:23):
160 home favorite. Gross tonight's series opener.
Padres are going with the ready you, Darvish.
He's one and three. With a 6.51.
ERA. Meanwhile, the G Men are going
with their ace ready, Logan Webb.
He's 10 and eight with a three. .24 ERA What have we seen across
the market here? Well, this game open san.
Fran around a. -140 Home favorite San Diego A + 120 row.
(15:45):
Dog and the Public. Doesn't know what to do here.
Because giants have really struggled.
But yet. Again, they have web who's got
good numbers. At home laying a.
Modest price, however, again, giants have.
Really stunk and San Diego is a good team getting.
Plus money, so the public has noidea.
Where to go? Do we lay?
It with San Fran do we take the.Plus money with San Diego.
(16:05):
What do we always talk about when we have a?
5050 ticket split. Theoretically in a vacuum, if
the bets are even. Down the middle, you really
shouldn't see line movement. One way or the other, maybe
it'll be adjusted couple cents here or there.
But you should not see. You know more than 5. $0.10
move. One way or the other.
Now, if it's 5050 and you do seea line move, that tells me that
even though the public doesn't know which way to go.
(16:27):
Wise guys have taken a position and it looks like they've taken
a position on the dads tonight. Because we've seen, even though
it's a 5050 split, San Fran has.Fallen -1. 40 down to -130 some
books. Even down to -125.
And we've seen the line move towards San Diego. +1125 down
to. Plus 115 some shops.
(16:47):
Now even down to plus 110. So aside.
From the 5050 line move, we've seen a good split here on San
Diego, only 51%, technically 51%.
Of bets at DraftKings with 62% of dollars and then if you look
over at Circa. 69% of bets 90. 6% of dollars coming in on the
Padres, so good low bets. Higher dollar split at both
(17:10):
DraftKings and Circa. System match here Monday.
Dogs off a win with a line move in their favor.
Very simple, but it's. 22 and 15this season, 60% Twenty 8%.
ROI if you're 60% on a dog. And a money line sport, you
know. That's really good because
you're getting plus money. San Diego does have.
Value as a divisional dog, so built in familiarity, leveling
(17:31):
the playing field, benefiting the team, getting plus money the
pods. Are 40 and 2760.
Percent, 5% ROI against teams that are 500 or below.
And San Diego, by the way. Is the 7th most.
Profitable dog in baseball. They're 27 and 26 as a dog. 51%
but a. 14% ROI because of the plus money payouts.
(17:53):
Pods are also. 4:00 and 2:00. Straight up against the Giants
this year and get a load of thiswhen the Red Sox traded Devers.
I'm a Red Sox fan. I was like what a terrible
salary dump I got cheap. Owners, they're still cheap.
Owners John Henry. But you got to admit, since the
Devers trade, Red Sox are, I think 12 games above 500.
Saint Fran is 18 and 28. Since getting Devers and they're
(18:15):
only. 7 and 14. Since the All Star break, so we
have a. 5050 split. But low bets higher dollars
toward San Diego the lines. Dropping toward San Diego.
We got divisional dog. They've been profitable as a
dog. I'm going to take a shot on the
Padres here tonight, guys. I got them at +1. 15 at ESPN
Bet. Some shops as low as plus 110
(18:35):
plus one O 5 and I will just putthis little cherry on top.
I popped open the. Juice real app and noticed A10.
Percent sharp mush edge on San Diego, so it's good to see that
the wise guys who have downloaded juice real and sync
their books they're also. Leaning Padres here.
So Padres. Tigers.
Yankees. We find a way to get two out of
three. If we could get San Diego and
(18:57):
then one of the others, that'll be nice.
A little bit of plus money. I'll be either way guys.
That's a three pack. I'll be sweating for tonight, so
that about does. It for episode. 333 of the all
systems. Go Sports betting podcast

opportunity. But also you got to know what is
the line open at your opening column that's static and never

and keep grinding. And if we can do that, make
data-driven plays with our head and not our heart.
