every time I think “ maybe people are getting sick of these type types of episodes,” I pause for a minute before I start going in on the next round of detailed research – and then almost immediately I am given this beautiful sensation.
“Why haven’t I heard of these women?” What the fuck lol honestly though.
Did you know that there have been analysis of textbook/history books and across many countries the male characters/references out number female ones by more than two to one. In one study of over 1200 English language textbooks, there were over 178,000 male coded words versus 82,000 female coded words MEANING about 68% of gendered content is about men or boys and only 32% is about women or girls.
Seeing ourselves matters, seeing our gender represented matters. Seeing our gender identity, represented matters, seeing our sexual orientation matters. When girls don’t see themselves in history, research shows extremely negative outcomes; lower self-esteem and self image, limitations on identity and aspirations, mental health issues, and internalization of stereotypes.
Let’s pass it on to them.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
