(00:02):
Does your travel wishlist seemlike it's endless?
Did you know you could plan atrip to go around the world?
Today, we're gonna introduce youto three trip types that take
you all over the world in justone vacation.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (00:16):
Listen
in with travel advisors and
destination experts.
Ryan and Julie.
I'm your travel professorteaching you everything you need
to know to have a magicalvacation.
And she's a Disney lovingMaryland mom of three and a
specialist in family travel.
Whether we're discussingincredible destinations, top
vacation tips, or sharingpersonal stories, it's always,
(00:37):
all things travel.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (00:41):
Okay, so
today's topic is really fun,
Ryan.
This is around the world, vacations, and I feel like a lot
of people don't know about these
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (00:50):
people
are showing them on world
cruises and they kind of getpopular.
they just look amazing.
I mean, just the ability to seeall these things that we're
talking about in one go round, literally and figuratively is
amazing.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (01:06):
I really
feel like, and maybe it's just
because I'm in the travelindustry and those things are on
my social media there's stillthis big focus on travel and
making it more accessible tomore people.
I just see so many more familiestraveling a lot when their kids
are younger and for a longerperiod of time.
(01:27):
I just think that wasn'tsomething that happened a
generation ago, or even twogenerations ago.
Like I feel like it's an up andcoming thing where people are
really trying to travel andexplore, and see new cultures a
lot more what they used to do.
And I don't know if that isstill like.
a post covid thing or, or what?
(01:47):
but I see a lot of that
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (01:49):
Yeah,
I definitely think, there's now
this idea of I'm gonna travelnow, I'm gonna take advantage
now.
and when I say I, I mean ourfamily, you know, our family's
gonna take advantage of this nowwhere I think you're right, it
wasn't too long ago where youhad to wait to take these trips
that's just all gone.
so we're gonna talk about threeamazing options here today.
(02:11):
I'm so excited.
I'm really excited about thesecond option'cause this is just
my thing.
But before we do that, I wannaremind folks that last week on
all things travel, we talkedabout the advantages and
considerations for shoulderseasons.
So traveling during the lesspopular times to really maximize
maybe the weather, maximizemaybe your costs and.
(02:35):
not fight with as many crowds.
All right, Julie, so you have areally, really cool trip.
and I want to hear all about it.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (02:44):
the first
one we're gonna talk about is
the ultimate world cruise, andthis cruise is through Royal
Caribbean.
Various cruise lines have theirversion of this one.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (02:55):
yeah.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (02:56):
wanna
highlight this one because I
think this is something thatwould appeal to so many people.
so for this year, the UltimateWorld Cruise is taking place on
the Serenade of the Seas, whichis one of Royal Caribbean's,
smaller and older ships.
But that is why it's perfect forthis type of cruise.
(03:16):
This is not going to be a cruisewhere you've got a ton of water
slides and a ton of people onboard.
It's gonna be a little bit of amore intimate experience, and
you're gonna be spending a tonof time.
Off of the ship.
This cruise is scheduled for 274nights.
But it's broken into segments
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (03:38):
Yep.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (03:38):
makes
these experiences and these
cruises around the world.
Feel like they're moreaccessible and feel like it's
something that you could do.
'cause maybe one year you do onesegment and another year you do
another segment.
If you can't fathom travelingfor 274 nights on a cruise ship,
maybe you break it intosegments.
(04:01):
you can either do the wholething or just pick a corner of
the globe For the RoyalCaribbean Cruise, each of those
segments is gonna be about a 60night voyage.
So still a long time, but really
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (04:12):
Yeah,
sure.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (04:13):
two to
three months max
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (04:14):
Yeah.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (04:15):
when you
think about the snowbirds, and
all the grandparents flocking toFlorida for the winter months,
that's pretty much the sametravel timeframe.
if you do choose to do thisentire cruise, you'll see eight
world wonders and over 60countries, which is
ryan_2_03-24-2025_2005 (04:32):
Amazing.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (04:34):
So the
first segment is the Ultimate
Americas.
This year, it takes place fromDecember the 10th to February
11th.
I'm gonna highlight a couple ofthe countries you're gonna go to
here.
you'll hit Mexico, Aruba,Barbados, a couple stops in
Brazil, including Rio deJaneiro, Argentina, including
(04:57):
Falls, Falkland Islands, andeven Antarctica.
You'll also make it to Peru tosee Machu Picchu Costa Rica,
Nicaragua, and end up in westernMexico.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (05:09):
How
amazing is this?
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (05:11):
Right.
And so there you already havethat, one of those wonders of
the worlds.
With Machu Picchu.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (05:16):
You
are in one cruise, in the
Caribbean,
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (05:19):
I.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (05:19):
you
are in South America,
Antarctica, and ending up backin Mexico.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (05:25):
Yeah, I
had to reread this list a couple
of times because I was like,Antarctica, is that really what
they mean?
because it just was so crazy tome to go from the Caribbean and
make it to Antarctica all in onetrip.
All.
The next segment is fromFebruary 11th through May 9th,
and this is the ultimate AsiaPacific portion.
(05:46):
This one's gonna depart from la.
You are gonna go down to Hawaiifirst and do a couple islands in
Hawaii.
Then you'll make your way totowards the French Polynesia,
thinking Tahiti and Maria.
You'll make your way to NewZealand and Australia including
a stop to see the great barrierReef chain.
(06:07):
You'll also head towards Asiaover to see Indonesia, the
Philippines, China, includingBeijing, the Great Wall of
China, Hong Kong, and Taipei.
A couple of stops in Japanincluding Mount Fuji, Osaka,
Okinawa, and Nagasaki.
And then over to South Korea,Vietnam, Singapore, Dubai.
(06:29):
I mean, there's so many stops.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (06:31):
Yeah.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (06:31):
go to the
Taj Mahal on this portion.
So even just thinking aboutthat, Ryan going from, you know,
Hawaii and all those Polynesiaislands and then all the way
over to all through Asia isamazing.
Our next portion is May 9th toJuly 10th, this is the ultimate
Africa and Southern Europe.
This one departs from Dubai, andyou're gonna hit a couple of the
(06:54):
islands over there first.
like Marus Reunion Island, andthen make your way to South
Africa, including a stop in CapeTown.
you'll hit Namibia, Angola,Ghana, the Canary Islands, make
your way up to Europe to see theuk, Greece, Italy, Slovenia,
Croatia, and a couple stops inFrance, and again, I'm not even
(07:17):
saying all the countries for
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (07:18):
Right.
you're doing an overview.
Sure.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (07:21):
Yes.
last section, feels the mostintensive to me.
It's July 10th to September10th, which feels really doable.
it's ultimate Europe and beyond.
you're starting in Spain, makeyour way to Morocco, Portugal,
Ireland, France, England.
(07:41):
All the way around that area andthe Netherlands, down to
Germany, Sweden, Denmark,Norway, and then back over to
New York, Bermuda, and TheBahamas.
I can't believe you would see.
these places at one time.
and I love that.
Then they also are like, and astop it.
Perfect day at Coco K.
(08:02):
is like you see all these crazyexotic places and then you come
back to the one that you see onall the commercials.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (08:09):
Julie,
when you were talking, I was
counting on the list.
Here you see a total on this legof the trip, you see 20
countries?
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (08:19):
the
ultimate Europe one.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (08:20):
Yep.
Yep, yep.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (08:22):
And
that's just from July 10th to
September 10th, which feels likea really doable timeframe.
are three of those countries onyour must see list?
And how long would you plan togo see those three countries
maybe?
A week or two at a time, likeyou might as well book a portion
of a world cruise at that point.
the really cool thing is yes, Imentioned Greece Italy and
(08:45):
France.
It's not like you're stopping inRome and moving on, you're
stopping at three or four orfive places in some of those
sought after countries likethat, you're getting a really
intensive experience.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (08:58):
Yeah,
I absolutely love it because,
you can do the whole thing andjust have a, a life changing
experience.
Or you can say, I wanna focus onthis area and really take
advantage of what Ro Caribbeanhas already put together for
you.
Well, before we move on toSeveral other world options.
(09:20):
I wanna talk about where in theworld is all things travel, and
as I looked at new locationsthis week, Julie Long Beach,
California popped up
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (09:30):
Ooh.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (09:31):
Long
Beach is well known for the
ocean and the shoreline.
one of the things I thoughtconnected with travel here that
along the waterfront they havethe RMS Queen Mary I.
docked there and I thoughtthat'd be a fun little
connection to travel.
So I want to meet our listenerthere, maybe have some tea, have
(09:53):
a fancy dinner.
the aquarium of the Pacific isthere too, and I think that'd be
a lot of fun.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (09:59):
That
sounds awesome.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_2005 (10:00):
Alright.
Hey Long Beach, do us a favor, reach out to us.
You can do that on our website, all things travel podcast.com
because I would love to send alittle thank you to Long Beach
for being featured on the show.
Alright, Julie, so I actuallyjust wrote about this world trip
in my newsletter last week thatI sent to my clients and folks
(10:24):
that are interested in travel.
And I gotta tell you, I am, I'msaying this here now.
I am starting a Kickstartercampaign on this podcast to send
me on this trip.
So anybody who is inspired, whosays Ryan needs to do this and I
wanna put my money where mymouth is, I am taking donations.
(10:48):
I'm sure Julie could figure outhow to add a donation button to
our website because listeners, Iwill do this for you.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (10:57):
You'll
report back.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (10:59):
So
this is the 2026 Rivers of the
World Cruise.
So kind of what Julie wastalking about, but in segments
of river cruising and we knowhow much I've fallen in love
with River cruising.
Uniworld is one of our fantasticriver cruise partners.
Very high level of service, veryhigh level of luxury.
(11:22):
Everything's included.
This is just an amazing trip.
to celebrate their 50thanniversary, they are going to
have a 50 night Rivers of theWorld cruise that begins in
Belgium and ends in Jordan.
Yes, you heard that right?
It begins in Europe and ends inthe Middle East.
(11:45):
So let me talk about this.
It's broken up into five parts.
And I know four of them, andthere's very interesting reason
that, I don't know, the fifth,So April 16th, you're starting
part one.
And this is a 10 night, crewstarting in Brussels.
And it goes through Antwerp, itgoes through Belgium, it goes
(12:06):
through the Netherlands, and youhave tulip time.
Then part two, Julian, this isone of the reasons I love
Uniworld.
There are seven night cruisethat comes after this is a
mystery cruise, and Uniworld isknown for doing this and their
loyal fans absolutely love it.
So it's a seven night cruise, but you don't know where.
(12:27):
And you don't know on what shipand they're going to give you
clues all along the way of whatyou're gonna be doing.
But for seven nights, you aregoing to be cruising somewhere
and you're gonna end up inParis.
How fun.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (12:43):
I think
that is so funny.
I think that is just so cool.
that tells me that you don'treally need to worry about
planning.
Right.
That takes the stress off of, doI have excursions?
those kind of things.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_2 (12:54):
Absolutely.
a company like Uniworld is gonnabe able to look for really
special things to make thatseven nights.
Cool.
The third part then, becausewe're in Paris, that's what the
next section is all about.
So we are doing the sin throughNormandy Countrysides.
We're seeing Leon, which is the, culinary capital of France,
(13:15):
that's a seven night cruise.
then from Leon, we have a 10night river cruise moving more
south through Burgundy andProvence.
So you're just going to eat yourway through Europe, then you're
making your way down towards theMediterranean, and you have a
three night stay at aMediterranean resort.
(13:38):
then you make your way to Cairo.
They actually transfer you, flyyou over to Cairo.
How amazing.
I.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (13:48):
Right.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (13:50):
And
then this is the unique one at
least when we think of rivercruising.
part five is a 16 night rivercruise, Egypt to Jordan.
the world cruise begins withfive nights at a luxury hotel in
Cairo.
So you're seeing all of thechiro sites, the pyramids, the
hinx.
You're learning all abouthistory there.
(14:11):
And then you'll venture down theNile River to explore ancient
temples with expertEgyptologists.
you are ending your time goingto Jordan.
So I bet there's Petra there andthere's just gonna be an amazing
once in a lifetime journey.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (14:31):
the thing
I love about this river cruise
option is that yes, you're on ariver cruise.
Cruise for a good period oftime, but it's also mixed in
with flights from this
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (14:42):
Yeah,
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (14:43):
that
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (14:43):
ho
Hotel stay.
Hotel stays, yes.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (14:47):
I think
that's a great way to break up
the trip a little bit becauseone of my concerns would
definitely be, I be on a cruisefor that many days?
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (14:58):
Yeah,
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (14:58):
the
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (14:58):
well,
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (14:59):
and stuff
like that.
Like it would just be nice, likethough that change of
accommodation sounds great.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_2 (15:05):
absolutely.
And you think about it, all ofthose legs of the trip are on a
different ship.
So, you know, you're, you're,you're changing and really, you
think about 50 nights, that's amonth and a half.
So yes, it's a world cruise, butit's a much more manageable
timeframe if you really want tolace all these together.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (15:26):
I
mentioned this a little with
Royal Caribbeans, world Crews.
if you have a couple of theserivers on your travel wishlist
to do a river cruises, how muchlonger time-wise is it to just
do the whole thing here?
probably not that much of adifference if you're already
flying over there.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_20051 (15:46):
Agreed,
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (15:47):
All
right, so the last.
Around the world.
Option is the Adventures byDisney Private Jet Adventure.
this doesn't currently have adate available for booking, but
I still wanna highlight itbecause I do think it will be
back.
adventures by Disney has beenreally advertising their private
jet adventures When theyannounced this a couple of years
(16:09):

ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (16:38):
Yes,
yes.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (16:39):
a lot of
other stops along the way, but
some of the highlights of thoseother stops are India and Egypt,
where you'll see the Taj Mahaland the pyramids and the Sphinx.
you're gonna be staying at fivestar accommodations around the
world, which if you know muchabout adventures by Disney from
our previous episodes, you knowthat that is such a special
(17:02):
experience They always have thetop of the line and they always
take really great care of you.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (17:07):
They
absolutely do.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (17:09):
You are
gonna have a rare opportunity to
stay at Summit Skywalker Ranch, which is an exclusive wine
country retreat.
you're gonna have all theadventures by Disney inclusions
that clients who do these typesof vacations are used to.
You're gonna have your adventureguides and your local experts
the finest accommodations.
(17:30):
That aspect of storytelling thatDisney loves, there's going to
be adventure experiences foreveryone.
Exclusive access to venues andVIP experiences, superior
service with hassle-free travel.
And you're also gonna have youradventure guys and the same
flight crew throughout.
So they're gonna get to knowyou, and you're gonna get to
(17:51):
know them.
These have been three really, really fun vacations to talk
about, and I hope that somebodygot inspired to take one of
these and
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (18:02):
Yeah.
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (18:02):
ask us to
go with'em or tell us all about
it because these are reallyamazing experiences.
ryan_2_03-24-2025_200511 (18:09):
So
I'll make a deal here.
Julie, if we have a listener, reach out and book one of these
trips.
They have a free guest spot onour podcast to come talk about
their experience
j_1_03-24-2025_200511 (18:26):
