present, and be amazed.
So today we are sharing a quickintroduction to Wonder and
(00:22):
Beyond Travel.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (00:25):
Listen
in with travel advisors and
destination experts, Ryan andJulie.
I'm your travel professorteaching you everything you need
to know to have a magicalvacation, and she's a Disney
loving Maryland mom of three anda specialist in family travel.
Whether we're discussingincredible destinations, top
vacation tips, or sharingpersonal stories, it's always
(00:47):
all things travel.
All right, Julie, it's been aweek.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (00:54):
It has
been a super exciting week.
It's been a very busy couple ofmonths for
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (01:01):
Yes.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (01:02):
this and
getting this started, and we are
finally launched and our newagency, wonder and Beyond Travel
is out there.
and we're doing it.
We're helping our clients.
You know, I think both of uskind of have this Renewed,
passion for it.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (01:17):
A
hundred percent.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (01:18):
Yeah.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (01:19):
so
this, the dates of this will be
a little off of when this iscoming out.
But a couple weeks ago, weannounced on the Facebook group
and to our own folks, throughour newsletters, through our
social media that Julie and Ihave started our own travel
agency, wonder and BeyondTravel, and we could not be more
excited.
(01:39):
it's just been really fun tostart out.
Julie says it's been months inthe making and it has.
She's excited that I'm no longertraveling'cause she's like, come
back and get your work donebecause we need to get going
with this.
so yeah, we own an agency,Julie, and it is amazing.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (01:56):
I
mentioned recently that I was
doing a bridal show, so I was avendor at, an event that was
going on and it was so fun to beable to say, my name is Julie.
I'm a travel advisor and I ownWonder and Beyond Travel.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (02:10):
So if
you think about us as travel
advisors, each of us startedwith our previous agency in 2018
when that agency began.
we have seven years ofexperience doing all sorts of
travel.
we started with our love forDisney, but that obviously, um,
grew into cruising and grew intovacations, to beaches, and
(02:32):
resorts.
that grew into Hawaii andEurope.
Julie's focus has always been.
Multi-gen trips, Disneybranching out into cruising all
inclusives Europe.
Mine started with Disney and nowit's shifting to more adult
trips with river cruising and,safaris.
and with my personal experiencein Europe, helping people have
(02:54):
those experiences we thought itwas just the right time.
we've learned so much from ourprevious agency owners and that
experience there.
We wanted to really branch outand do our own thing.
So talk a little bit about thecore value of Wonder and beyond
Travel.
Julie.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (03:14):
So.
Let me back up for a second, andthis will tie in for, it felt
like a really long time.
We were like, I don't know whatour name's gonna be.
And then it just kind of came tous one day.
For Wonder and Beyond Travel, and we didn't even realize how
well that fit into our why.
And looking back, that's why itfelt like the right name.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (03:36):
Yes.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (03:37):
on our
marketing, and we had a
wonderful marketing professionalthat we worked with, and we
worked on what our values werethe way that she described it,
we were like, wow, thatliterally is wonder and beyond
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (03:48):
Yeah.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (03:48):
So.
Really at the core of our agencyis wanting to inspire our
clients to new destinations, tolook at travel as a way to grow
learn transform themselves andtheir families and strengthen
relationships within theirfamilies.
taking that sense of wonder andgoing beyond that
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (04:09):
Yeah.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (04:10):
all the
things that travel can give you.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (04:12):
I
remember, hearing your stories
on this podcast about going tothe Polynesian with your
grandparents, And that feeling.
moving into your adulthood as aparent now, wanting to give your
children that same feeling.
And it's no surprise that, thePolynesian is part of that.
as a college professor, takingstudents, On their first trip to
(04:35):
Europe, some people, it wastheir first time on a plane.
Some people, it was their firsttime in a big city.
to see that change and thatwonder and that excitement and
even that uncomfortableness thatleads to really appreciating
where they are.
you talk about transformation,it just is real in travel.
Whether it's a stereotypicalvacation or whether it's an
(04:58):
adventure.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (04:59):
because
even if you think about,
somebody might think, well,we're just going to an
all-inclusive.
think about all the things thatlead up to that.
You've gotta get your passport, you've gotta figure out how to
pack for your family maybe it'ssomebody's first time on a trip
or the first time going throughcustoms, there's still so many
new experiences.
And then while you're at theall-inclusive, you're still in a
(05:19):
new country, experiencing a newculture maybe new foods, maybe
there's some new water sportsthat you didn't get a chance to
try before.
Maybe you try kayaking andthat's like.
Oh wow.
Maybe I should try surfing.
Maybe we should go to Hawaiinext.
the way that you travel canreally spark new ways to travel
for your next trips, and I thinkwe both share that same level of
(05:40):
passion and wanting to help ourclients experience those things.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (05:45):
I love
that.
So let's talk about some of ourcore services.
What are the things that we'regonna wanna be doing, for our
clients and with our clients?
And some of these are gonna bethe things that we do now, it's
just gonna be more of.
Our way of kind of sprinklingthe pixie dust in how we do it.
The first is creating customtravel itineraries, so
(06:06):
personalized travel itinerariesthat are tailored to the one of
a kind trip that you want totake.
what's important to you and yourtravel party, whether you're
planning a magical familyvacation, a romantic getaway, or
a multi-generational trip.
we work with you to design everydetail to fit your vision.
(06:26):
Your needs, your goals, and formost people, the most important
thing, it fits that budget theyhave for that trip so that they
can really be stress free andenjoy themselves.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (06:38):
This is
one of the biggest things that I
talk to new clients about whenthey say, what's it like working
with a travel advisor?
One of the first things I alwayssay is, I'm going to create a
custom trip just for you aboutwhat you want to do and where
you wanna go and where youdon't, if you don't wanna go
somewhere, we're not doing that.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (06:55):
Right,
right.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (06:56):
this is
like one of the biggest perks of
working with an advisor.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (06:59):
the
next one is hands off booking
management.
taking care of everything fromtravel, logistics,
accommodations, exclusive tours, dining reservations, and really
trying to help you plan aseamless travel experience.
I'm thinking about severalclients, that are going to
Europe this summer, and tryingto piece together that trip so
(07:19):
that they know what's going onEvery moment of that trip
listening to what are thosethings that are really
important?
is it having that cruise downthe Thames?
Is it finding a tea experiencewith their girls and finding
that for them so that they'renot looking for it, we're taking
care of it and presenting it tothem?
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (07:41):
Right.
You're doing all this backoffice type work of pooling all
these different tours into theiritinerary, and at the end of the
day, they are getting onecomplete itinerary
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (07:51):
Yep.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (07:52):
That's
ryan_2_04-27-2025_2 (07:52):
Absolutely.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (07:53):
I.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (07:53):
I
think this third one is really
where Julie and I are going towork hard to develop the
personality of our agency andreally work to shine And this is
concierge level support, soreally helping our guests every
step of the way, providing themwith support during their travel
process on the ground, duringtheir trip, using our experience
(08:17):
both as travel advisors andseasoned travelers, what are the
things that they need to beknowing to make sure that every
part of the trip is handled withcare?
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (08:26):
Yeah, and
I feel like this can sometimes
be overlooked.
Like, travel advisors, justclick a button and book my trip.
But.
helping my clients plan a Disneytrip with little kids is pretty
invaluable.
When I can tell you what youneed to put in your Amazon order
and where you're gonna go firstyou know, just all these little
tips that add up to make yourtrip feel a little more
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (08:48):
And
lastly, having that destination
expertise, with extensiveknowledge of the different
destinations.
Anything from Disney's mostmagical spots to Europe's most
romantic locales.
We really try to give you theinsider knowledge and the expert
tips.
to be honest, there's placesthat I don't book because I
don't know enough about it and Idon't want to do that on my
(09:10):
client's dime.
and their time.
I really wanna focus on thethings that I know that I can
add value to my client's.
trip experience.
j_1_04-27-2025_2055 (09:20):
Absolutely.
and there's a couple otherthings too, right?
these are all the thingsspecifically focusing on our
clients.
when you work with us as atravel advisor.
Everything Ryan talked about iswhat you're gonna get from us,
but we also have other ways toreach guests and clients and
help people out, even if you'renot booking your trip Our
podcast will stay the same.

couple months.

those are in the works the goalof those is to educate you.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (10:04):
Yeah,
and inspire.
j_1_04-27-2025_205551 (10:06):
and
inspire.
That's a great word.
We are going to be updating ourblog.
So I've had a blog for a coupleyears on my website, but I'm
going to work on making those alittle more concise, So I'm
gonna be adding onto those andthen Ryan's gonna be adding some
blogs as well.
Eventually that will come ontoour website.
And the last thing that iscoming soon is some digital
(10:29):
guides and planners for ourclients, and even for guests who
are not our clients.
So maybe you love planning yourown Disney trips and maybe you
love planning your own cruisesor things like that.
we still may have.
Some resources that you coulduse, you know, from our
expertise.
ryan_2_04-27-2025_205551 (10:48):
as
those things get built out,
there's gonna be a one stop shopfor all of that, and that's
gonna be wonder and beyondtravel.com.
That website is up and we loveit.
again, our, our branding partnerworking with us did an amazing
job with this, but that's gonnabe everything where you can find
these podcast episodes.
(11:09):
That's where you're gonna findinformation about Julie and
myself.
We have several freebies we wantto give you, as part of
educating you about travel.
That's where our block is gonnalive.
So Wonder and beyond travel.comis gonna be.
One stop shop for our agency.
what we are continuing to havewith Wonder and Beyond Travel
(11:30):
are fantastic travel partnersthat is not changing the
relationships that we have withthose folks.
The amenities that we're able towork with, to get our clients
the support that we have.
