In this episode of Along the Rock, Mark Morris talks about the upcoming productions of “Willy Wonka Jr.” and “Into the Woods Jr.” at The Dixon: Historic Theatre with theatre manager Tori Highley and several actors: Kamri Velez, Lilli Highley, Nora Highley and Evelyn Arneson.

The first show, “Willy Wonka Jr.”, features actors 10 and under and will be performed on May 9 at 7pm and May 10 at 2pm. It is a stage adaptation of the original novel and follows the classic story written by Roald Dahl. Older kids, like Lilli and Evelyn, help behind-the-scenes with these kids shows.

On the other hand, “Into the Woods Jr.” features actors 11 or older and will be performed on May 16 and 17 at 7:30pm and May 18 at 2pm. It is adapted from Stephan Sondheim’s musical play which follows classic fairytale characters with some creative twists.
