Chad began teaching at Hope College in 2014, where he serves as professor of kinesiology and director of the Character Hub. He is also the co-founder and co-director of SPORT. FAITH. LIFE. He is author of the book, Making March Madness: The History and Origins of the NCAA, NIT, and College Basketball Championships, and has two forthcoming co-edited books: College Sport Ethics and A History of Christianity and Sport in Europe and North America: 19th to 21st Centuries. His academic interests include the philosophy of sport, the history of sports and their influence on cultural trends, and the intersection of sports and Christianity. Chad and his wife, Kathi enjoy traveling and playing, watching, or coaching sports with and for their children, Brielle and Bryce.
