Zaki (00:02):
Captain Suhail, are you
sure about this? We've been
flying for hours. My wings areaching.
Captain Suhail (00:08):
Aye, young
feathers, a true sailor never
abandons a quest. The maps, thewinds, and my impeccable
instincts all point to atreasure most splendid.
Zaki (00:19):
I can't believe you
convinced me to join you on this
treasure quest. A treasure sorare and valuable that we have
to circle this island fivetimes?
Captain Suhail (00:30):
Treasure hunting
requires patience, geeky friend.
Now quit flapping about andfocus. There she is, the
treasure I've sought for years.A golden prize beyond measure,
my dear man.
Zaki (00:46):
Wait. This is the
legendary treasure? Captain,
this is just an apple.
Captain Suhail (00:52):
A golden apple
smart beaks. The finest rarest
kind fit for a king.
Zaki (01:00):
I don't know, captain.
Something about this feels
wrong, feels forbidden.
Captain Suhail (01:06):
Forbidden? You
worry too much, Zaki. Why, this
reminds me of the time I, well, best not to speak of that
incident.
Zaki (01:16):
What did you do, captain?
Captain Suhail (01:18):
Well, you see,
long ago, there was a grand
feast at the admiral's banquet.Tables lined with the finest
delicacies from across the seas. And there sat a most magnificent
golden pastry glistening underthe candlelight, my good man.
Let me guess. You couldn'tresist?
(01:40):
Let's just say a seadog'sappetite knows no bounds. I took
one bite, just one, and theadmiral's parrot, that blasted
feathery traitor, squawked thealarm. Next thing I knew, the
whole crew was after me.
Zaki (01:56):
You got caught stealing
food from your own admiral?
Captain Suhail (01:59):
Aye, and they
chased me clear across the
docks. It was the fastest I'veever flapped. Lesson learned, if
you must take a forbidden bite,be quicker than a parrot's
tongue.
Zaki (02:10):
Oh, brother. Let's just
start the story.
Meraj Digital presents theamazing stories with Zaki the
Hoopoe. Episode 18, theforbidden fruit.
(02:33):
Salam, my wonderful listeners.Welcome back to another amazing
story. As always, I am yourstorytelling hoopoe bird, Zaki,
here once again to take you onan incredible journey through
time.
Captain Suhail (02:47):
And I be your co
navigator across these rough
waters, captain Suhail.
Zaki (02:53):
Co navigator? Not sure
about that. We all heard about
the golden apple, captain.
Captain Suhail (02:58):
And a fine
discovery it was, young
Feathers.
Zaki (03:01):
Moving on. Today, we're
diving into a story about the
first prophet, and in fact, thevery first human, Adam. But he
didn't start his journey here onEarth. Oh, no. He lived in a
place beyond anything we canimagine called Juna.
And he wasn't alone, he was withhis wife Hawa. Now this place
was a place of endless beauty, where there was no sadness, no
(03:25):
hunger, only peace and joy. Doyou remember when we talked
about heaven in the story ofprophet Idris? Heaven is what we
call Junna, a beautiful place ofreward from Allah for those who
do good, and Adam and Hawa, theywere the first to experience it.
But, something happened, amistake, a choice, and it
(03:48):
changed everything.
Long ago, before the world waslike it is today, Allah created
Adam, the first human. Adam wasspecial because Allah gave him
knowledge, the ability to thinkand make choices. And do you
(04:08):
know where Adam lived? He livedin Juna, a paradise beyond
imagination, full of rivers ofmilk and honey, delicious
fruits, and endless beauty. Andsoon, Allah gave Adam a
companion Hawa, so they couldshare this wonderful place
together.
Aye, the perfect life, a feastwithout end. What more could
(04:32):
they want? Well, that's thething, captain. There was one
rule, just one. Allah told them, eat freely from everything in
Junna, but do not go near thistree.
Captain Suhail (04:44):
Oh, dear. I see
where this is going.
Zaki (04:47):
Now, every good story has
a villain, right? The bad guy
who causes all the trouble?Well, in this story, and
actually in many stories, thatvillain is someone called
Shaytan. But he wasn't alwaysbad. So before we talk about
what Shaytan did to Adam andHawa, we need to understand who
(05:08):
he was and why he was sodetermined to lead them to do
something wrong.
A very very very long time agobefore Adam was even created,
there was a being named Iblis. He wasn't an angel he was a
jinn, created from fire that hadno smoke. But here's the thing,
(05:29):
jinns, unlike angels, have freewill, which means that they
could choose to do good thingsor to do bad things. Iblis
worshiped Allah so much that hewas allowed to live with the
angels in Jannah.
Captain Suhail (05:41):
So he was a
noble lad then?
Zaki (05:45):
We'll get to that. When
Allah created Adam, he told all
the angels to bow to Adam andall the angels did, all except
Iblis. You see, Iblis thought hewas better than Adam because he
was made of fire, and Adam wasonly made from clay. Iblis
thought he was greater thanAdam. His pride made him
(06:06):
disobey, and because of that,Allah kicked him out from Junna.
Captain Suhail (06:10):
Bad move. Never
go against the captain's orders,
I always say.
Zaki (06:17):
Exactly! Iblis, now called
Shaytan, became mad and made a
very bad promise. He said hewould try to trick as many
people as possible, making themdoubt and pushing them to make
wrong choices and not believe inAllah. And that's how he ended
up in this story. Shaitan sawAdam and Hawa in a beautiful
garden in Junah. They were closeto the tree that Allah told them
(06:40):
not to eat from.
He changed how he looked so Adamand Hawa would not recognize
him. He whispered to both ofthem saying, why do you think
Allah doesn't want you to eatfrom this tree? Think about it.
One bite, and you'll liveforever. Powerful, like the
(07:02):
angels, this is the tree ofeternity.
Eat, and join a kingdom thatstretches beyond forever. Adam
was standing there, staring atthe tree. His heart was beating
faster. He knew what Allah hadtold him. He knew that this tree
was off limits.
But now something new hadentered his mind, doubt. What if
(07:24):
what if Shaitan was right? Whatif this tree really could make
him and Hawa live forever? Whatif they would become like the
angels, powerful and wise? Wasit possible that Allah was
keeping something from them?
Autumn turned to Hawa. She hadthe same look in her eyes.
Uncertainty. Curiosity. They hadnever felt this before.
(07:47):
Until now, everything had beencertain, clear, and beautiful.
But now, now there was aquestion they didn't have an
answer to.
Captain Suhail (07:55):
Horse feathers,
a dangerous moment that one.
Zaki (07:58):
Then as if to push them
over the edge, Shaitan did
something even more evil. Heswore to them, I am your true
friend, he said. I only wantwhat's best for you. Adam
hesitated. He looked at the treeagain.
The fruit looked so inviting.Could it really be that one bite
would change everything? Wouldit truly make them wiser,
(08:21):
stronger? Would it really letthem stay in Juna forever? Adam
took a deep breath.
He reached out his hand. Andthen that's when he made his
choice. With Hawa by by hisside, Adam picked the fruit and
took a bite.
Captain Suhail (08:38):
Oh, laddie. You
had one rule.
Zaki (08:40):
And in that moment,
everything changed. The peace of
Junna faded. They felt exposed, ashamed, and then they heard
Allah's voice. Allah knew whathad happened. Adam and Hawwa
felt deep sorrow, realizing theyhad been deceived, but they did
not run away.
Instead, they said sorry toAllah and asked for forgiveness
(09:02):
with all their hearts. Andbecause Allah is so kind and
merciful, he forgave them. Butbecause of their choice, they
couldn't stay in Jannah anymore. They were sent to Earth. So, my
little adventurers, what did welearn today?
Every choice we make hasconsequences, but Allah's mercy
is always greater. Adam and Hawamade a mistake, but when they
(09:26):
asked for forgiveness, Allahforgave them. That's an
important lesson for all of us.We should always turn back to
Allah when we make mistakes. NowI know you're wondering, what
happened to Adam and Hawa whenthey got to Earth?
Well, that's a story for anotherday.
Captain Suhail (09:42):
A good lesson
indeed. And you know, young
Feathers, perhaps I shouldn't betaking bites out of every shiny
treasure I find.
Zaki (09:51):
Wait. You were going to
eat that golden apple?
Captain Suhail (09:54):
Well, let's just
say I've had a change of heart.
This apple shall remainuntouched, at least for now.
Zaki (10:02):
Good choice, captain.
Maybe this time you've actually
learned your lesson.
Captain Suhail (10:06):
Aye. Aye. But if
he ever see a golden pastry
again, well, let's just say nopromises.
Zaki (10:13):
Oh, captain. Anyway, my
dear listeners, before we go,
let me give you a little hintabout our next adventure. It's
about a very special boy, onechosen by Allah to perform
incredible miracles. He healedthe sick, brought comfort to
people's hearts, and was one ofthe greatest messengers ever
sent. Can you guess who he is?
Captain Suhail (10:35):
Oh, a legendary
figure, you say? Let me guess.
Is it a famous sailor? A captainof grand ships?
Zaki (10:43):
No, captain Sohail. It's
prophet Issa, and we'll be
learning all about him in ournext episode. So stay tuned, my
little adventurers. Until nexttime, keep being kind, making
good choices, and always seekingthe truth. Salam, and see you
then.
Captain Suhail (11:00):
And don't
forget, if you see a golden
pastry, take a second to thinkbefore you take a bite.
