(00:00):
Great date. Is there another kind?
You see, the useful idiots that the Soviet Union that Lenin put
into America are now the useful idiots from the Chinese.
They're coming down in America like Batman.
Eating the supper alive. They're acting more as
propagandists. You know the Pac-Man game.
Think of a Pac-Man game, out of control, sucking away at the
foundation of America. If Russia pursues its

(00:21):
aggression, it will face the massive consequences.
Because if they don't want you to believe something and they
can cast doubt, sometimes confusion can actually be the
goal. The goal, the.
Goal and as we've said all along.
Confusion can actually be the goal.
Welcome to another edition of America Today.
Jim Watkins, your host, kind of breaking here.
I just found out that Dana Perino is leaving the five.

(00:45):
This is going to be the buzz later.
Apparently a major lawsuit is involved and we'll get to that
in just a little bit. Of course, the other major,
major headline are all the riotsthat are breaking out now in San
Francisco and Atlanta. And there's one plan for
Nashville and it's pretty easy to sort of parse this out.

(01:06):
You are either angry at ICE for doing their job and you don't
think that people should be rounded up and sent back to
their country, especially gang bangers and and you think all
that's nonsense being pushed by the right, then you probably are
supporting the protesters, but you need to know who you're
getting in bed with. And we'll get to Karen Bass in

(01:28):
just a minute because this is not an unorganized organic
protest. This is a controlled event and
it's meant to undermine the Trump administration.
And we'll get to all that. But I want to bring in Michael
Letts, our top cop national security expert.
And where are we now? I mean, where was the, is this

(01:49):
thing growing like a fire or is it starting to calm down?
Michael Letts. Depends on what angle you're
looking at. It is starting to calm down some
in LA. Obviously last night we imposed
A curfew and the streets were vacant like a ghost town because
they knew the Marines meant whatthey said they were going to do.
And quite frankly, if they got in their way, they'd be big

(02:10):
trouble. So it shut down last night and I
expected to pick up throughout the day again today.
But then the answer to the flip side of that question is it has
expanded. Obviously it was in Atlanta and
New York before. It is now moving to other cities
as well. Chicago is now reaching out to
us as we speak. And here's the reason why.

(02:30):
And this is what I want to make sure you drove home a point.
I want to re drive at home what you just said Jim.
This is a literal invasion of those who seek to destroy this
country. This has nothing to do with
protests, has nothing to do withICE, has nothing to do with
presenting your dissenting opinion.

(02:53):
It has everything to do with being funded by our known
enemies, CCP, Venezuela, Madera and all those NGOs that are
funneling your tax dollars through to promote the liberal
cause, such as making sure that they get back in power, the

(03:13):
liberal element. Now, why am I saying all that?
Because I want you to clearly understand who, as you pointed
out, you're getting in bed with. Why are we getting the calls
from Chicago? They are getting reports now of
people in the sewer system planting what we consider
already have to view as explosive devices underneath the

(03:34):
city streets. Now, this is war.
This is not anything peaceful. And you need to clearly
understand that when you get anddecide you're going to go out
and support them, you are supporting A sworn enemy of the
United States. We have dealt with that.
If you look at our history for 250 years, we've gone to World
War Two, World War One and all kind of wars in between.

(03:56):
We will defend our freedom, whatever the cost.
And quite frankly, you don't want to be on the wrong side of
that when it when it begins to calm down.
And it is coming down as we speak.
You know, it's interesting to watch all of the stuff going on
social media and a lot of it I find I I find there's more
reality on social media than there is on your network news.

(04:18):
Take a listen to this brief montage of what the mainstream
media is is pushing on this narrative of these riots, the.
Reality is we see peaceful protests launching in Los
Angeles. Peaceful protests, people that
are there. Just a bunch of people having
fun watching cars burning. These are not criminals.
They're looking for work of protesters, and demonstrators

(04:41):
are peaceful, they're passionate.
That the peaceful protesters, wewant to keep them safe, we want
them to exercise their fundamental rights.
Now, that's just a couple of clips of various news agencies.
You got Newsome in there, you'vegot Cory Booker and, and they're
there. And I just watched a little bit

(05:03):
of MSNBC this morning and they're saying the same thing,
that this is all about the egregious behavior of ICE.
They're portraying them as Nazi troopers.
It's, it's off the, the rails, Michael, that these people are
portraying this as if the, the people that are hurling the
Molotov cocktails and burning the buildings, that they're the

(05:23):
victims. Exactly.
And I think what makes it worse is this is nothing.
Every American should be able tounderstand this.
This is nothing to do with beingpeaceful or presenting your
dissenting opinion. When you are taking large pieces
of cement blocks and throwing them in daily oncoming

(05:45):
responding vehicles deliberatelyat their windshield to try to
one of those, they'll go right through windshield so they put
in the right place. You're going to kill cops.
That's where their goal is to kill first responders.
Why do you think you're in the sewer system in Chicago?
These people have explosives. We're not talking about your
neighbor across the street. We're talking about one of the

(06:06):
most well organized campaigns toundermine and destroy our
government from within. You know, we've been allowing
this to be set the stage for some time, Jim.
Open borders, allow the people to them to get the resources in
who've been using our tax dollars.
Just amazingly frustrating. They've been stealing from you
and I at the US Treasury, putting all that, hoarding, all

(06:28):
that money into accounts, and now they're taking it and
spending it to destroy us. So our own money is destroying
us. And quite frankly, we've allowed
it to happen with the previous administration up to this point.
Now there are those who are critical saying you're being
heavy-handed. We're not being heavy-handed.
Look here, you didn't make that accusation where we store the

(06:48):
beaches of Normandy. We knew what we had to do to
protect freedom at that time, toprotect American freedom across
seas, because we didn't want them coming here.
Well, they're here now. And we're going to use the same
mentality. The president has made this
clear by initiating the Insurgency Act as a lesson
yesterday evening, putting that into law, into play.

(07:09):
We are going to take every resource this country has and do
it as necessary to protect and defend our freedoms and our
people. I want you to think about that
for a minute. We're talking about every
resource to what the pledge thathas now pledged.
That means every military personnel, all operations,
active guard, militia, whatever is necessary.

(07:30):
They have just literally decidedto take America on for size and
they're going to get down real quickly the power of the
strength of the United States. Michael Letts is with us.
He's the founder and CEO of Invest usa.org.
And 29 Palms is where the Marines are coming from.
And apparently this is a very brutal group of people.

(07:50):
These are trained killers, really.
But also I want to touch upon what you said.
There's an organization, a left non governmental organization
known as Kyra. And Kyra is funded.
It was given $34 million last year in funding from the BI
administration. And they are the ones that are
most likely buying these bricks and placing them around.

(08:13):
And they, I saw a scene yesterday where there were
leaflets scattered all over downtown Los Angeles giving you
pointers on how to evade capturewhen you're rioting.
And this Cairo group is, as Michael said, is funded by tax
dollars. And they're behind a lot of
this, what we're seeing. Somebody else showed a video of

(08:34):
somebody chopping down all thesetrees in downtown Los Angeles,
too. Do you have any Intel on what
that's about? I've not seen that before.
Yes, as part of their their effort to be disruptive, they're
putting the trees and and roses. They're realizing this.
They're doing everything they can to disrupt the flow of
business as well as our government.

(08:56):
If they can keep you home, Jim, well, you can't make any money.
They'll collapse the economy. So here's what's happening.
This enemy combatants, let's call it what it is.
This is a war. It's a war of insurrectionist
rioters, that enemy combatants who are now determined to use
all their assets. You remember we talked about
this before. You have different factions.
You have those that are cartel us.

(09:18):
You have those that are sex traffickers, child sex
travelers. You had the rapists and
murderers. You've had the just the left
ideology wanting me back in power.
Well, something has dawned on melately.
You know, if we all pull our resources together and do one
major effort, we might succeed. Yeah, we're underway.
That is in the process now all. Right.
If you could do another segment with me, I'd really appreciate

(09:39):
that. Michael, we'll take a quick
break. You are listening to America
today. I'm Jim Watkins.
Hang on. This segment of the program is
brought to you by Southwest Florida dreamhome.com.
Let the journey begin. Are you ready for the next great
adventure in your life? How about in Southwest Florida?
Start at Southwest Florida dreamhome.com.

(10:05):
Let's talk about the LA mayor, Karen Bass.
She was part of then Semos brigade.
So then Semos means we will win or victorious.
OK, Brigade. It's a communist Marxist
organization. She was part of it for decades.
In fact, she went to Cuba 15 times.

(10:27):
It's an organization that helps train young leftists into
learning how to create bombs anduprooting everything that
America stands for. All democracies.
Are you? Are you getting a picture here?
That's a person in Los Angeles who says it right.

(10:47):
Everything that she said is absolutely verified.
Michael, That's thank you. Welcome back to America today.
So this is the deal. If you are supporting the
unrest, that's who you are aligning with.
And I think John Lennon said it best.
When you go carrying pictures ofChairman Mao, you can count me
out. And I think that's what the
masses are starting to realize here, who the real enemy is.

(11:09):
Do you think this is going to Peter out?
I think. It will, yes.
You know, I think it will Peter out, but there's a certain steps
that are were underway before itactually does Peter out.
And here's the thought of the day.
We'll go back with the steps in just a second, but I want
everybody to take this thought of the day.
We have the best intelligence agencies in the world.

(11:31):
They are working now with the Bureau and other law
enforcement, federal law enforcement agencies.
Why do I mention that? Why do you not see them out in
front the military is handling yourself from?
But let me tell you what the other agencies are doing.
We're making sure we have the greatest optics we've ever had
in this country. What does that mean for you?
You go out and say, I think I'm gonna run out there today, seem

(11:52):
like grab a TV or see if I can throw a couple rocks just to be
a part of it. We're taking pictures of
everything, he said. Well, I've got a mask on.
I've got a scarf around me. We have imagery now and
technology that can recreate your face to very close accuracy
even though you're wearing something.
And we're building a database. And just because this Peters out

(12:13):
and you say, OK, what's all doneA little next week we're going
to be knocking on doors for years to come and saying come
with me. Because quite frankly, this is
treason. This is a subversion of the
United States government. And you will go to trial and you
will be found guilty and you will go to prison for.
You know, it's interesting. You bring up a good point.
So you got these people that areout there doing what they're

(12:34):
doing and what you just described with the, you know,
imaging and surveillance, this is exactly what they did to nab
some of the people that were in Washington, DC on January 6th,
2020. The FBI systematically went and
haunted hundreds of people down with the very surveillance that
you were talking about. And it's interesting that the

(12:55):
left views these people as victims, but not the January 6th
protesters who were really trying to protest against what
they thought was an illegitimateelection.
So isn't that interesting that you, in this day and age, the
left is supporting these people with the Molotov cocktails and
people banging onto cars and throwing rocks and all that.

(13:17):
But they have. They have sympathy for them, but
not for fellow Americans who were simply exercising their
right to protest. Isn't that interesting?
They do everything they can, whatever is pro American, they
hate. They hate America.
They hate Americans. And anything they can do to
subject that and to subvert thatthey're doing even lying lately.

(13:38):
While, you know, the speaker, former Speaker Nancy Pelosi came
on the year yesterday and said that, you know, we begged the
President Trump to send 10,000 National Guards people January
6th. And he turned us down.
And now he turns around and sends them to California.
But we don't want them a direct lie.
Every evidence, every correspondence with her

(13:58):
signature on. So they declined the offer of
the president, the city of National Guard, January 6th.
They just, they, they don't understand how to speak the
truth. They are so wrapped up and
destroying this country. They have lost their sense of
reality. They've lost all logic and all
common sense, quite frankly, there they are scary people.
These kind of people need to be locked up.

(14:21):
I agree again talking to Michaellet's he is a top cop, national
security expert. You had mentioned something
about Kash Patel and and their surveillance are are we going to
see politicians who are out there fomenting?
Are we going to see them? Yes.
Round it up a little bit. In fact, quite frankly, we're
discussing this now. I think it should be at the top

(14:43):
of the list because we need to go for the leadership 1st and
then we'll work our way down andwe're getting concurrence with
that. So you can expect to see that
coming. One other thing I want to
mention that the American publicisn't aware of, while we send in
700 Marines with the one standbyin the LA, we have mobilized

(15:03):
Army combat units all across thecountry.
Now we've deployed them across the country.
They're in various locations. They are prepared to respond,
whether it's Atlanta, whether it's Chicago, whether it's New
York. We're making sure we're given
the opportunity to prove us wrong, to go in and just, you
know, Holler yells a little bit, then go home.

(15:25):
So once they cross the line and begin to do obstruct, when they
begin to have violence, when they begin to destroy property,
we are prepared with a second's notice we're going to move in
and move in very harshly and very quickly and shut it down.
All right, well, there's I want to bring this up because I'm
just being honest here. I do not want this to be the
permanent state of our country where we have armed troop

(15:47):
members, National Guard standingin every corner because that to
me is a third world country. So please reassure me and my
listeners that this action that they take now is temporary and
that is not going to be a continued state of affairs.
Let me carry that a step further.
Do you allow any concerns? Have we want what you would
describe? Who would have already put them

(16:09):
in the streets? We're not doing that.
We're standing back and we're waiting for giving you the
opportunity under our Constitution to exercise your
freedom of speech. But you do not have the right to
harm Americans, destroy property, or to disobey the law.
And we will restrain as long as possible.
But unlike other administrations, or we will just

(16:30):
let you get away with it, we're going to exercise it to make
sure there is accountability foryour actions.
We will never expect this to happen to get in this country.
All right, listen, if you feel so entitled, please go to
Michael's website, investusa.org.
He helps provide bulletproof, bulletproof vests for law
enforcement officers free of charge.
And so your donations are alwayswelcomed.

(16:51):
That's a Invest usa.org and it'sMichael let's who is a regular
contributor to this program. Appreciate you, Michael, and
you'll be back tomorrow and we'll continue to follow all of
this going on across the country.
We sure were just an interestingtime to be living in, but we're
going to come out stronger than we've ever been before.
All right, we'll talk to you again tomorrow.

(17:12):
I want to end this segment with a message from one of my
favorite actors of all time, JonVoight.
And he's been known to say a thing or two to stir up
controversy. And but he has a message for
Gavin Newsom, and I think it's amessage that he should hear.
You're a fool blaming Trump. What are you doing for this

(17:37):
destruction of these animals? Destroying Los Angeles?
Are you there talking calmly with them, you fool?
They would burn you down like they're burning the cars and the
American flag with no regard forhumanity.
This is not about Trump. This is about protecting the
people from these animals and criminals trying to destroy us

(17:57):
and our police force. Are they supposed to stand
there, let rocks hit them and kill them?
Who's going to save them? You.
President Trump called in the National Guard and the Marines
to help with these destructive, barbaric riots.
All you do is cause chaos for the people.
You're a disgrace. You're nothing but a lying dog

(18:18):
for the hopes of becoming the president one day.
And God is my witness. Truth will prevail because of
your faults and your incompetence for California's
failures. We the people, we stand.
I stand with Donald Trump to make this state great again.
But we the people choose Donald Trump to save America, and we're
in danger with threats from terrorists now, and we must

(18:40):
protect our country. This has now become good against
evil, and evil will lose becauseour president of the United
States of America was sworn in to protect this nation's
greatest gifts, freedom, safety,prosperity.
And he shall. He will because he is the
greatest president since AbrahamLincoln.
And we the people stand with this nation's honor and respect

(19:01):
and with the president of the United States of America, Donald
J Trump. And.
Then, of course, actor Jon Voight showing his support not
only for the the troops, but also for law enforcement and
especially for Donald Trump. So there we have it.
The media continues to do what they do, fanning the flames of
discontent and and get the wrongnarrative on this one.

(19:22):
And I think it's going to again, they have not made any great
political moves in the last couple of years.
And I don't think this is going to be a turning point for my
brother Democrats or my fellow Americans that are on the
Democratic side of things. And if you're in Portland OR
Phoenix OR Dallas OR many of thegreat places that we're at,

(19:43):
Houston, you know, you watch this because you say, could that
happen here? And that's the point, isn't it?
This segment of the program is brought to you by Southwest
Florida dreamhome.com. Let the journey begin.

(20:13):
Welcome back. It's America Today where we take
a snapshot of what's happening in the country.
Little good news on the businessfront.
We learned earlier today that president's team and members
from the Chinese delegation thatcame and they've got a handshake
on a trade deal, which restores a hell of a lot of confidence,
not only on the Asian side, but certainly in our own stock

(20:35):
market. So we may have one of those
weird days where it's good news.I don't know what the CPI, I'll,
I'll look it up, but I'm feelingmore robust about the economy
and, and clearly it has helped tremendously that energy prices
have dropped. I think crude is going for a
little more than 55 a barrel, which makes it profitable, but

(20:58):
it keeps the prices down, which means that everything else at
the end of that supply chain also goes down, including food
prices. So the economy is feeling
better. I did hear that the Federal
Reserve are going to leave the interest rate unchanged at least
for the short term, but we'll see and I think the job numbers
are looking good. So there is in an interesting

(21:20):
chain of events, even though, because if you notice, the media
is not harping about tariffs andhigh prices, they've they sort
of moved on to the next narrative.
And in this case, it's about thethe overreaching authority of
the Trump administration to try to control what was leftover
from the Biden administration, which is 20 anywhere from 22

(21:42):
million immigrants. And even if only 1% of, of that
group contains gang members, drug dealers, human traffickers,
that's, that's a lot of people. We're talking about 100,000,
maybe 200,000 criminals in our country exploiting.
And it, and it brings me to a point because I, I read a very,

(22:04):
very interesting article learning from the Romans.
And I asked myself yesterday, I said, you know, if I was to ask
what it looked like for the typical Roman citizen in the
year 438, what it is like to watch his country fall apart.
I think that looking around today, it has that same feeling.

(22:25):
And, and there's a good reason for this, according to a
wonderful article on American Thinker.
And I apologize for the phone ringing there.
Vince Koerner wrote a great article and he draws some
interesting comparisons about what's happening now in our
particular country. And, and I won't read the entire

(22:46):
article to you, but I will convey to you the the wisdom of
what he says. And, and for about 1100 years,
the way it was, is if you were conquered by Rome, you simply
became a Roman citizen. And you were entitled to the in,
in many ways, if you weren't enslaved, you were entitled to

(23:08):
being a Roman citizen, which gave you free reign to travel
and engage in trade. And this went on for a little
bit more than 1000 years. And it's, it's what gave Rome
the ability to grow and expand and, and conquer.
Because when they conquered you,you simply became a Roman
citizen. If again, if you weren't in
certain groups where you enslaved or, or killed, But the

(23:32):
point is, is this was the, the traditional way of conquering.
They would conquer, then assimilate.
And in our country, we've had assimilation going on now for
250 years or more, depending on when you think that started.
If you want to go back to the 1615 when it all began, that's
fine too. But assimilation was key.

(23:53):
When you came here, you were an American.
You assimilated the culture. You could still keep your
identity if you were Italian or if you were Jewish or, but you
were uniquely American. What's happened in the last 30
years because of the globalist agenda of trying to get rid of
borders because they think that borders are bad.

(24:14):
The difference is that right nowwhat's happening is people are
coming here and they're not assimilating.
They're bringing their culture here and they're saying that my
culture, my allegiance is to my homeland.
And this is part and parcel why President Sheinbaum of Mexico.
And, and when Sheinbaum called these thugs and looters heroes,

(24:35):
which he's basically saying is wherever you go, you can always
consider Mexico your home and the you are a Mexican citizen no
matter where you go. And it's the same principle that
guides Xi Jinping for all the Chinese nationals that are in
our country, XI reminds them constantly that they are
citizens of China. Same with people of Taiwan as

(24:56):
well. And so right now, what you have
are people who are coming here, but they're not leaving their
country and therefore they feel no need to assimilate.
And we see this with Somalis in Minneapolis.
They've taken over the rungs of power in that state.
And now you're starting to see interesting developments, aren't
you? People like Ilan Omar who

(25:17):
literally spit on this country is leading the pack.
And then in places like Dallas and Plano where they want to
develop a Sharia village. And I can't believe that's
happening. I can't believe it.
Greg Abbott would let that happen.
But they're going to try to use legalese to make it happen.
And this is what they do. They use law fair and in places
like Houston, but it's interesting because Houston is a

(25:39):
heavily Hispanic population, butthey're 3rd, 4th generation
Hispanics in Houston, in San Antonio as well.
But there is a movement afoot inCalifornia because our Liberal
Democratic leaders feel guilty. They have some way they want to

(26:01):
repent and earn the graces of Mexicans that are coming now.
And not just Mexicans either. They're Cubans and Venezuelans.
And so they're the, the lack of assimilation is what's going to
accelerate the downfall and and further deterioration of
California. That's my point.
Unless people there, and again, I say this about people

(26:24):
everywhere, there has to be pushback from within.
A good example of that is in Gaza.
Until the people of Gaza get ridof Hamas, they're never going to
have a quality of life, never. And then what Hamas does is they
turn that that that anger of having a poor quality life and

(26:44):
they redirect it at the Israelis.
And this is essentially what they're doing now in our country
with these criminal element gangmembers from other countries.
They're using the emotions and sentiments of the Democratic
people saying we, we just want to have a better life, just like
you. And we say, yes, come on in.

(27:05):
And we won't even vet you because we don't want to insult
you. God forbid.
I mean, Mexico is one of the most corrupt countries on the
planet. I don't believe for a moment
that President Scheinbaum wants to say half of what she says.
But she's protecting the cartelsbecause they'll kill her just
like they took out the presidentor the guy running for president

(27:26):
in Colombia. And we see this all the time.
There was another woman, I thinkit was in South Mexico, could
have been Oaxaca. I'm not sure.
She was running for a political seat.
I think it was mayor. She got shot because she was
anti cartel. So if you, if your head isn't
too far up your butt, you need to recognize that the cartels

(27:49):
are a billion dollar industry and they're going to protect
their turf. No different from when Microsoft
or Yahoo or some of these other big in these, especially the the
drug companies that are very powerful.
Think of the cartels as a black market, big pharma operation, a
place where you can get any drugyou want to and you don't have

(28:10):
to get a doctor, you don't have to get a note, you don't have to
go and see your case manager. It's all there right on your
favorite street corner in anywhere USA.
So the only difference, in my opinion, between Big Pharma and
the cartels is Big Pharma. They have stock shareholders and
they wear white coats. It's a difference.

(28:31):
They're supplying something thatAmericans need and want and buy
in large quantity. And that's why they're setting
up shop. And now that Big Pharma and
Purdue have done their dirty work of getting, you know, 20
million Americans addicted to their drugs, well, if you want
to take a shortcut, save a little bit money and maybe even
get something more powerful thanthe Xanax that you've been

(28:51):
taking for the last three or four years.
Go to your street. Go to that guy down at the
corner who stands there every night waiting for you to come.
And if you want to see more of this, then go ahead and support
people like Newsome and Bass because that's what they want.
They know what they're all about.
