(00:00):
Our economy is crashing. Inflation is out of control.
Why are conservatives bad, Mommy?
Because I thought we were supposed to conserve now.
You actually breathe in my nostrils to make me move.
Russia has joined with China. The USA is a mess.
(00:20):
It's not real, it's just a dream.
Please please. Wake up and welcome to the
weekend edition of America TODAY.
I am your host, Jim Watkins. It's good to have you here.
Thank you. Appreciate you.
Big, big week. In news, we learned this week
that the White House was run by a small group of what do they
(00:43):
call them, the politburo, the American politburo.
We'll see how far the investigations get into that,
but I suspect there have been a lot of illegal things going on.
All those pardons that were signed by allegedly the auto
pin, who had control of the autopin.
And thanks to Jake's Jake Tapperand Alex Thompson, we're
(01:06):
learning all and their new book, they're, they're on the world
tour now. And what do you make of it?
Do you think that Jake Tapper may be trying to get distance
himself from the from the Democratic left and that this is
sort of a mea culpa to get the right to sort of embrace Jake as
one of theirs? I'm seeing a lot of defection.
(01:28):
And, and frankly, I believe thata lot of people within the left,
progressive circles are startingto realize that on things like
transgender and climate change and all these other issues that
they may be on the wrong side ofhistory.
And that's a lot of what we talked about here on the
program. It is America today where we
look at the top stories impacting you across a fine
(01:51):
array of great radio stations inthis country and on the on the
Internet as well through Spotifyand various partners with iheart
and and iTunes and also with Odyssey and Amazon and we're
covered so you never miss a moment.
You can also go to the website jimwatkins.org.
(02:11):
There's a new recruitment. I want to play this.
We, we knew from the bite administration that drop offs
of, of people getting into the military was really low.
And, and much of it had to do with the woke ISM and the DIEDEI
that was infiltrating the ranks. And it was no longer a merit
(02:34):
based institution and had more to do with identity.
And this had a horrible effect on the morale, based on reports
that I've read while they've come out with a new strategy.
And I want you to hear it, this is the new recruitment.
It's obviously a television video, but it's also good audio.
(02:54):
And it shows you how quickly things have changed in the
military from just six months ago.
No more distractions, no more electric tanks, no more gender
confusion, no more climate change worship.
We are laser focused on our mission of war fighting.
(03:19):
We will measure our success not only by the battles we win, but
also by the wars we end, and perhaps most importantly, the
wars we never get into. It's called peace through
strength. You look into the eyes of these
young Americans who are giving up the best years of their lives
in a uniform to serve their nation.
They are incredible. Through our power and might, we
(03:45):
will lead the world to peace. Our friends will respect us, our
enemies will fear us, and the whole world will admire the
unrivaled greatness of the United States military.
(04:05):
We will. Replenish the pride of our armed
forces and the recruitment crisis.
We don't fight because we. Hate what's in.
Front of us, We fight because welove what's behind us.
God bless you, God bless our ownforces, God bless our men and
(04:26):
women serving overseas, and God bless the United States of
America. Yeah, it's like a Jerry
Bruckheimer film, isn't it? You imagine how many people on
the left to probably have a stroke after hearing that.
I mean, they would. They would feel like they were
behind the Iron Curtain. The way they look at Trump being
a fascist dictator and all that would scare them.
I think that would actually, it probably has scared them, but it
(04:49):
exudes a, a, a strength that hasbeen lacking in our military.
I believe that since the fall ofAfghanistan, we've we've become
self-inflicted, by the way, a kind of laughingstock.
And the greatest concern that I have is you don't want countries
like China and Russia or Iran seeing you as weak.
(05:12):
And I'm afraid if you had to face it honestly, you would have
to admit that the American military has the perception of
being weak because it was, for lack of a better term, wokeified
by do good liberal liberals who felt that identity politics was
more important than defending the country.
And I think it's a good step. It's bold, it's aggressive, but
(05:36):
it maybe it needs to be. You know, much of what Trump
does is not for our pleasure. It's for the people on the
outside looking in. And I wish that people on the
left would understand that thereis an ideological struggle going
on in the world. Somebody wants to own
domination, world hegemony for the next 100 years.
(05:57):
And I believe, if I'm not mistaken, it is China.
We are at a war with China. There's no question about that.
In fact, the one of the top stories today has to do with
what Trump is doing with China. President Trump has accused
China of totally violating the recent US China Tariff
Agreement, escalating tensions at trade talks.
(06:20):
Simultaneously, a Federal Trade court ruled that Trump's tariffs
were illegal, but an appeals court has granted a temporary
reprieve, keeping the tariffs inplace pending a likely Supreme
Court appeal. That comes from U.S. news and
the the refusal to allow the whatever it is, several thousand
(06:43):
Chinese students into our publicschools here infiltrating.
We have to understand that when you're a Chinese citizen and
you're learning abroad, you are a Chinese citizen, and the CCP
expects you to remember that. How many times have we had
members of Shenyang on this program talking about China's
(07:05):
oppressive leadership and how their tendrils go far and deep?
The last administration didn't seem to care about any of that.
This administration is trying todo that because if you've got
Intels in cells in our country working on behalf of the Chinese
Communist Party, you've got a problem.
And a lot of these agents, as we've seen through many arrests
(07:26):
over the last few years, have been professors and assistants
who have either worked for or they're directly connected with
Chinese espionage. So it's it's good thing
somebody's finally doing something about it.
Maybe a little late, We'll have to see.
All right, I want to tackle a subject in the next segment.
And we talked about this before, but I am not at all happy with
(07:49):
legacy media and neither are you.
We never has it been exposed theegregious behavior that legacy
media has exhibited over the past three or four years going
back to maybe even the Obama years.
It is no longer an unbiased entity.
(08:09):
They do not report news with an unfiltered lens.
Now everything is is portrayed through the narrative of the
left. Not to mention the fact that
most of the major news media arelockstep with the Democratic
Party for the simple reason thatthey want access.
That's all that is access. Investigative journalism is
dead, except for the few people like Veritas, James O'Keefe and
(08:34):
others. And I think that there is going
to come a time where Congress, especially in this
administration, should bring theheads of NBCABCMSNBCCNN, New
York Times, Washington Post, andthey should question them as to
the truthfulness of their organizations.
(08:55):
And I've come up with a list 10 questions that I would I would
hand over to the election or theCommission that would handle
this kind of hearing and get to the bottom of what's happening
with our legacy media. They are enshrined in the
Constitution as a necessary partof our Republic.
(09:16):
And it is my contention that they are failing miserably in
their duty to serve the Americanpeople.
And to this end, they must be held accountable.
And I mean, talking about propaganda for the left, a
misinformation, disinformation, anything you can imagine.
And they do it in the name of profit and access.
And I think that they should be held accountable.
(09:37):
I think that there should be people that are either disbarred
or licenses should be revoked from legacy media until they can
get their act together and servein the interest of the American
people. So my list of questions that I
would ask coming up on America today,
(10:12):
the dramatic scene in the Oval Office today, the tense
confrontation, President Trump ambushing the president of South
Africa, another. Oval Office meltdown, President
Trump ambushing the president ofSouth Africa.
President Trump is being accusedof conducting something of a
diplomatic ambush of South Africa's president in the Oval
Office. To be with you, I'm Katy Tur.
President Trump orchestrated another Oval Office ambush.
(10:34):
Today's. Today, Donald Trump meeting with
the president of South Africa and attempting to ambush and.
Humiliate that leader. Szalinski territory, where
essentially he was. A bit ambushed.
Inside the Oval Office felt likean.
Ambush in there, Kind of like the President Zelenskiy meeting
in the Oval Office. This was an ambush.
(10:54):
It was orchestrated. There were my poster brought his
best diplomatic self to this meeting, but nothing could have
prepared him for this multimediaambush.
What started as? To some.
Degree an ambush? Well, Katie, I mean.
It wasn't ambush, ambush it. Was ambushed ambush.
An ambush, Ambush. Ambush and ambushed inside the
Oval. Office, there you go.
I mean, it's it's clear as day that there is a conspiracy on
(11:18):
the left. Welcome back to America Today.
This is Jim Watkins. And this has been going on for a
long time in areas that have actually proven disastrous for
the American people through the misinformation of these
networks. For example, downplaying the
efficacy of vaccines. For example, encouraging people
to follow the CDC recommendations that we now
(11:40):
clearly know were misleading. 6 feet distance, wearing a mask,
when to wear a mask, closing schools just last week, was it
Ron Johnson? Senator Johnson was asking Peter
McCullough, one of the world respected heart surgeons, to
comment on vaccine injury. Not COVID-19, but vaccine
(12:02):
injury. That still doesn't make it in
the news, but take a listen to this interchange.
And do you have any science to back up your, your opinion?
The best data are autopsies. So in the largest autopsy series
published today, I know because I'm the senior author of all the
death, we deaths we examined andwe, we reviewed them.
(12:23):
We had an adjudication committee, We had ways of
arbitration deciding on did the vaccine cause death.
The answer is of these cases that came in for autopsy after
vaccination, 73.9% of individuals, it was determined
that the vaccine was the cause of death.
First authors, Hoshan colleagues.
He's sitting right behind me. Now, you would have thought that
(12:45):
that would have made headlines. I mean, you would have seen it.
And believe me, I watch the the the major news media like a
hawk. I didn't see anybody mention it.
I didn't read about it online. It was as if it was on a feed on
Instagram and that was it. It, it was on getter.
People were clicking on it and it and then it disappeared.
And this is what I'm talking about.
(13:06):
When you've got a vaccine that'sout there being promoted by the
CDC and that, and then you've got the one of the world
renowned heart experts telling you that autopsies are showing
that many people are dying from the COVID vaccine because they
can tell by the heart tissue or they can look at the veins or
the, the, the innards of us and they're seeing terrible things
(13:29):
going on and nobody is reportingon it.
Don't you think that that's irresponsible?
Isn't that the point of the media is to warn us when there
are dangers that may not be so obvious?
But instead instead they report in favor of promoting the use of
vaccine, or at least in this particular case, the COVID
(13:51):
vaccine. This is just one thing.
The media is all in on the climate change hoax.
They never questioned some of these, these agencies, the IPCC,
Have they ever done any investigative on the claims that
carbon is driving heat? Or are they just merely
satisfied with the status quo for reasons we don't know?
(14:17):
So it's these kinds of issues, the fact that we had a president
who was who has diminished capacity for at least three
years, probably 4, and he had a secret politburo of insiders who
are basically running the White House for three or four years.
You don't think that that's an important news item for the
American people? So at this point, I would say if
(14:41):
I was a congressman and with thethe freedom of the press
enshrined in our Constitution, that that that bears
responsibility on part of the legacy, legacy media not to be
corrupted by political power, which is exactly what has
happened. They have become an asset of the
(15:02):
Democratic Party. And to that end, with the
radicalization of the DemocraticParty, they themselves have
become a radical extension of this ideology.
So they feel protected in promoting transgenderism among
youth. And this trickles down to the
local level because we have our own local news here in Naples.
(15:24):
There was a big battle over whether they could have a drag
queen show in public, in public view of children, and the news
media turned it into a First Amendment rights issue.
What about the rights of parentsto be able to protect their
children from lascivious behavior on public display?
What message are we sending to our children?
(15:47):
And yet the left, the media, they all portray it as they are
the victim. They are the victim because we
won't let them express who they love or what they love.
And it's ridiculous. And this is all part, I think,
of a new ideological push comingfrom the left.
And they're using the media to accomplish it.
It's that simple. And I think that more than
(16:09):
justifies A congressional hearing with the people who run
these organizations to see what their true motives are.
So my my questions that I would ask if I had, say, for example,
the head of ABC World News mightbe something like this.
And these are important questions, and I'd be happy to
pass them along to anybody who wants to use them, should we
(16:31):
ever be in this position of questioning the media and making
sure that their motives are in the interest of the American
people. Number one, in the general
interest of the American public. How many reports have you done
showing adverse effects from theCOVID-19 vaccine #2 How many
times in your reporting did any pharmaceutical advisor provide
(16:54):
editorial advice on a particularstory, either good or for it or
against vaccines #3 During any newscast reporting on the
COVID-19 outbreak, how often didyou investigate the CCP covering
up the virus coming from Wuhan #4 Regarding the so-called
insurrection of January 6th, 2020?
(17:16):
Was there ever an investigation into possible FBI in beds who
may have also acted as provocateurs #5 During the
entirety of the first Trump term, how often was your
coverage either positive or negative when it came to Donald
Trump? But we already have the answer
to that. 97% negative, 3% positive continues today.
(17:42):
During the Biden term, did any White House official at any time
suggest you kill any story that would reveal Biden's diminished
capacity? And how many times during the
Biden administration did you actually report on Biden's
diminishing capacity? Give me a number.
During the build up of the Russian Ukraine war, how much
(18:03):
money did your network receive in the form of advertising
dollars from any major defense contractor providing weaponry
for the conflict? Got a couple more here for you?
And these are all issues that had a major impact on life in
the United States during the George Floyd riots and stories
(18:23):
connected to his arrest in Minneapolis.
How many times did your network report that George Floyd had
served A5 year prison sentence for his involvement in a home
invasion robbery involving a pregnant woman in Houston?
How many times? How many stories has your
network reported on the dangers of trans and medical procedures?
(18:46):
And have you ever reported any story of regret from the
thousands of young who have regretted their transition?
Show me one. And probably #10 did your
network ever do any investigative stories of the
massive human trafficking that resulted in over 300,000 miners
(19:06):
who went missing between 2021 and 2024?
Now, I think those are well thought out questions.
And it it exposes the agenda of the left.
Let them answer these questions in front of the American people.
Let them try to convince us thatthey're still working on our
(19:28):
behalf. Let them show us that they're
worthy of being in their positions of extreme power.
What do you think? America TODAY continues in just
