Roshan Allie was thirteen whenshe fled from her Jackson,
Tennessee home.

Out of fear her father wouldkill her.
Tyler Shrupp was one of thepolice officers assigned to find
her.
She returned a day later, andShrupp never met her.

Fast forward twelve years when agrown up Allie lands a job at
the sheriff's department.
Shrupp didn't know who she was,but he was immediately drawn to
her.
He wouldn't stop staring at me,but literally wouldn't say a
word at all.
Uh I thought she was verybeautiful, which is why I was
kind of nervous to talk to her.

Once and there's they're tenyears apart in age, so uh once
they began talking, they felt animmediate connection which led
to Allie opening up about thetrauma of her youth.
We started putting the datestogether and then she described
the area, Shruck recalled.
That's when I started to belike, okay, I was part of that.
(12:38):
It's crazy that back when I waslooking for you, and now we're
sitting here talking.
That is kind of weird, isn't it?
The pair got engaged uh ofAugust of last year, and they
share a five-month-old son.
In July, Allie went viral withher story, racking up five
million views for a TikTok videowhere she shakes hands with
(13:01):
Shrubb describing him as anofficer who went searching for
me while missing.
Allie who goes by Roro Nicole onsocial media needed to set the
record straight after TikTokjumped to the wrong conclusions.
I guess so.
Some of the comments were thathe's grooming me.
Uh he kidnapped me and I've beenwith him this whole time, kept
(13:23):
me in the basement, she said.
In a four-part video series, shedetailed the true and harrowing
harrowing ordeal.
In 2010 Oh, her gambling addicther okay, in 2010, her gambling
addict father, who didn't allowhis kids outside the house, came
home one day after losing all ofhis money and threatened to kill

Allie and her siblings after hecaught them outside.
We immediately ran into ourbedroom because we were afraid
that he was going to startbeating on us like he normally
does whenever he comes homeupset.
His sister stood with her backagainst the bedroom wall and
feet on the wall to hold thedoor shut so their dad didn't

get inside.
Wow.
And she is a pretty littlething.
So then uh So then he told mymom to go get a knife and then
he began to try stab her throughthe door.
What?
So the so the wife and motherwas gave him a oh my god.
When her father eventually wasable to open the door, I didn't
(14:29):
know the story was gonna takethis turn.
Sorry, y'all.
So when the her fathereventually was able to open the
door, he grabbed her sister bythe hair and dragged her into
the bedroom where he beganbeating her with a cable wire.
Goodness gracious, we canliterally hear her begging him
not to kill her.
Well I didn't know the story wasgonna take this dark of a turn.

He duct taped her hands togetherand her legs together and then
placed duct taped on her mouthso nobody could hear her
screaming.
Then my mom walks into our roomand she looks at us and she
goes, Y'all are next.
Oh my god, what the hell?
What was what's wrong with thism mother too?
That's when Allie and herbrother jumped out their bedroom
(15:13):
window and ran to the nearestpark.
Her father called the cops toreport them missing.
When the police arrived, Allie'ssister reported she was
assaulted and the cops tooktheir parents into custody and
where they spent only a coupleof days in jail.
Wow.
Allie and her brother, who wastwelve, were found the next day
(15:35):
and placed in foster care alongwith their two siblings who are
fifteen and sixteen.
Well, thank goodness.
I truly truly believe it was notme running away from the house
that day and officers beinginvolved, I don't think that
we'd still be here alive.
Allie and Shrupp, who were whowill wed next year, said people
(15:56):
are touched by their story.
