TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

The shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk has created a profound national moment of grief, intensified by its occurrence on the solemn anniversary of 9/11. These twin tragedies—one embedded in our collective memory, the other a fresh wound—converge to remind us that while evil can strike without warning, the legacy of those who stand for truth cannot be extinguished.

Charlie Kirk embodied a rare combination of youthful energy and timeless wisdom. His assassination bears disturbing parallels to other historical voices silenced for their convictions, most notably Martin Luther King Jr. Both men were lightning rods who refused to compromise, who built movements larger than themselves, and who ultimately paid the ultimate price for their courage to speak boldly in a world resistant to their message. As Dennis Prager eloquently stated in his moving tribute, Charlie was "the most articulate spokesman for America and its Christian value system and the Greek emphasis on logic and reason." His ability to engage young people while defending traditional values made him a uniquely powerful voice in American culture.

What happens now? The torch has been passed to all who share Charlie's vision for America. His voice may be silenced, but the movement he built cannot be assassinated. By flooding our conversations with his words and ideas rather than giving attention to those celebrating violence, we demonstrate that intimidation fails to silence truth. We stand resolved to honor not just with tears but with action, proving that while assassins may take lives, they cannot erase legacies. Join us in carrying forward Charlie's commitment to speaking truth with courage, engaging ideas with reason, and loving God and country without apology. Share your favorite Charlie Kirk moments and help ensure his voice continues to resonate despite this unspeakable tragedy.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
Today we carry the weight of two heavy truths.
September 11th will alwaysstand as a day of remembrance,
when America was attacked butalso reminded of her strength.
And now, layered on top of thatsolemn memory, we face the
shock and grief of anotherdevastating loss the
assassination of Charlie Kirk.

(00:24):
Different events, differenttimes, yet the emotions collide
Grief, anger, disbelief, a sensethat evil struck once again,
this time to silence a man whoseonly crime was loving God and
country and daring to speaktruth in the world that didn't
want to hear it.

(00:44):
Charlie's assassination feelslike a modern echo of history.
Just as Martin Luther King Jrwas struck down in his prime for
daring to lead a movement andconfront the culture, charlie
too has been silenced for hiscourage and influence.
Both men were lightning rods, unafraid to speak boldly and
unwilling to compromise theirconvictions.

(01:04):
And though their voices havebeen cut short, their visions
live on, because the movementsthey built cannot be
assassinated.
Charlie was especially knownfor reaching the younger
generation, reminding them thatthey mattered, that truth
mattered, that their voicesmattered.
But his influence reachedbeyond age.
He sparked something in all ofus, a fire to stand up, to speak

(01:28):
out, to carry the weight offreedom with courage.
So, as we grieve today, remembering the lives lost on
9-11 and mourning the loss ofCharlie Kirk, we also stand
resolved, resolved, to honortheir memory not just with tears
but with action.
Resolved to prove that, whileevil may take lives, it cannot

(01:50):
erase legacies.
Rest in peace, charlie.
You ran your race withconviction.
Now it's on us to carry thetorch forward.
And now I just want to go overto X and read some, some people.
Some read, read X posts thatpeople have written about
Charlie.
Uh, I mean, it's justdevastating.

(02:14):
Let me go find some.
I mean, there was all kinds ofpeople commenting and I hope
that my social media feeds getfilled with Charlie Kirk clips
and videos.
In fact, I'm going to go seekthem out and post them too.
I don't want any of the hatersout there.

(02:35):
I don't want to talk about thepeople out there that are.
I don't even want to talk aboutit.
I want to talk about Charlieand what he's done, and I hope
his movement continues.
I really do so.
Here's one from Dennis Prager asan American, as a Jew and as

(02:56):
Dennis, I am devastated at theassassination of Charlie Kirk.
The truth is, as I write thesewords, I can't believe I am
writing them.
I am in the denial stage ofmourning as an American.
We have lost the mostarticulate spokesman for America
and itsChristian value systemand the Greek emphasis on logic

(03:17):
and reason.
Charlie was a uniquely giftedindividual who, in his teens,
created theuing with any studentwho wished to debate him.
Using his vast reservoir offacts and his exceptionally

(03:51):
speedy and articulate mind, hegave them what seemed to be
unlimited amounts of time andthen calmly eviscerated all
their anti-American,anti-western and
anti-Judeo-Christian positions.
I watched an inordinate numberof these exchanges and thanked

(04:12):
God that Charlie Kirk was thereto do his work.
America's youth in particularhave lost a moral and
intellectual leader, one whowould perhaps have one day
become their president.
As a committed Jew, I thank Godregularly that a non-Jew, a
committed Christian, became oneof the few great public

(04:32):
spokesmen on behalf of Israel, the Jewish communities outside
of Israel.
Few Jews could match Charlie'sknowledge and eloquent arguments
on behalf of those two entities.
As Dennis, I have lost a veryclose friend.
Charlie repeatedly visited mein various hospitals that I have

(04:55):
been in since November 12th ofat least of last year, when I
suffered a catastrophic fallwhich has left me paralyzed when
members of the nursing staffheard that Charlie Kirk was
visiting me, my room became themost popular one in the hospital
.
Charlie brought me themanuscript of his forthcoming
book, arguing that everyone, christians as well as Jews,

(05:18):
should observe Shabbat, theJewish Sabbath, just as he and
his family had begun to do fromFriday sundown to Saturday
sundown.
It is a measure of our closerelationship that he dedicated
the book to me.
His brilliant exposition ofthese arguments provide clear
evidence for the non-necessityof college education for most

(05:40):
young Americans.
Amen.
My heart breaks for his youngwidow, erica, and for his two
children, who have lost a greatman and a father as children can
have, and for Charlie, who didnot live to see them grow up.
For one of the first times inmy 20 years, with my wife Sue, I

(06:02):
have seen her sobuncontrollably.
With my wife Sue, I have seenher sob uncontrollably.
The Prager home is in deepmourning, as are the houses of
countless Americans.
The loss to us personally andto the country generally is
immeasurable.

(06:22):
Well, that's all I can readright now.
I can't do any more becauseI'll just lose it.
I mean, I've never felt thissick before, I mean since
probably 9-11.
I just can't believe it.
I'm still in disbelief.
I cannot believe this happenedand I just oh, I hope we can get
through this.
I know, well, I don't knowanything.

(06:44):
I don't know anything.
I hope they find the guy.
I think it was a professionalhit, but that's a topic for
another episode.
So I have no questions of theday, that's it.
I just want to honor Charlieand I want to flood social media
with all of his clips and I'mgoing to ignore and not even pay

(07:07):
any attention to all the otherpeople out there.
They don't need a voice, theyjust just all the people out
there who want to celebrate this.
They're just ridiculous peopleand I don't, I don't even, I
don't even want to give them theairtime that I'm giving them
now.
So just ignore them.
I want everybody to ignore them.

(07:28):
Push them out and just floodyour social media with Charlie
Kirk clips, and that's all I'vegot for you today.
That's it.
I don't even know.
I don't even know.
It's horrible.
I wish I could leave you withsomething more inspiring, but I
can't.
Bye.
