TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

Have you ever wondered what happens when online critics attack your creative work? Today's candid morning musings explore my decision to disconnect from YouTube after facing harsh criticism from a commenter who called my podcast "garbage" with "lazy and ineffectual" ideas. This revealing look at handling online negativity sets the stage for a wide-ranging commentary covering memorable stories that deserve attention.

The conversation shifts to celebrity culture's disturbing fascination with convicted killers, specifically examining Rosie O'Donnell's shocking statement about Lyle Menendez being "the only white guy she can love and trust." I dive into why this romanticization of the Menendez brothers' crimes is deeply troubling, especially when their claims of self-defense fall apart under scrutiny. Their cold-blooded murder of parents watching television deserves no sympathy, regardless of celebrity endorsement.

Most concerning is the underreported story of a 17-year-old Wisconsin teenager who murdered his parents, lived with their bodies for 12 days, then fled with the intention of assassinating former President Trump. Why isn't this frightening case receiving mainstream television coverage? The teen's connections to extremist ideologies raise urgent questions about youth radicalization and selective media attention. I close with reflections on childhood memories of spring cleaning and an invitation for listeners to share their own experiences with this seasonal ritual. Your perspective matters - join the conversation and let me know your thoughts on any of today's topics!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, good morning.
Happy birthday to my grand cam,who is three years old.
Also, congratulations to RoryMcIlroy for winning his first
Masters.
That guy has been chasing thatgreen jacket for a while Finally
got it.
Didn't think he was gonna whenhe came out strong.
The first couple days I thoughthe's done this before and has

(00:22):
lost the lead.
But he came through and did it,yay, even though he's not an
American.
That's all right.
Congratulations, Rory.
All right.
So, um, I think I'm going toshare something with you and
then I'll get onto the couple ofstories I wanted to talk about.
I disconnected my podcast frommy YouTube channel.
Now, I really shouldn't evenhave connected it in the first

(00:45):
place, and when I did it, I didit, I had a feeling it.
I really shouldn't even haveconnected it in the first place,
and when I did it, I did it, Ihad a feeling.
I was like don't do this, carol, it's stupid, because
podcasting is for audio, youtubeis for video and I don't know
why people were connecting theiraudio podcast to YouTube and
then still calling it a podcaston YouTube.
If it's on YouTube, it's not apodcast, it's a video.

(01:08):
I'm just, I know, nitpicky,nitpicky.
So I disconnected it I wanted.
I've been thinking aboutdisconnecting it for a while.
Like I said, I shouldn't evenconnect it in the first place,
but then I started seeing, well,I got some views, views or not
views.
I got some listeners over there, and I do have one lady over
there.
I'm gonna have to contact herand say I don't, I'm not on

(01:29):
YouTube anymore, because shedoes listen to YouTube and
commented anyway.
There was another commenter thatfinally decided to chime in I
guess I think he only listenedprobably one time, going by the
name of Kenny Huber obviouslynot his real name gave me some
criticism.
He came at me and said you know, obviously you're recording

(01:51):
from your phone.
You sound like crap.
You need to get blah, blah, blah.
People like you, blah, blah,blah.
I'm like there's a freeLinkedIn podcasting tutorial
blah, blah, blah.
And I said look, if you don'tlike it, don't listen, move on.
And he came back again and saidno, people like you need to be
criticized.
Blah, blah, blah.

(02:12):
And so, uh, I'm not on YouTubeanymore.
And I thought you know, waittill he gets a load of me
recording in my car.
Why do people have to do that?
Let me go see if I can actuallyfind the comment and I'll read
it to you.
Let's see.
Let's see if I can find it.

(02:33):
Oh, first he says rambling intoa mic does not equal a podcast.
Well, if you're listening onYouTube, you're not listening to
podcasts.
And then I said so move on anddon't listen.
And then he replied back nopeople in your media sphere
deserve to be criticized, notonly because your production
quality is awful, but becauseyour ideas are lazy and

(02:59):
ineffectual.
All you did was basically readDrudge Report the entire time,
except for when you want to adda word or two of your own color
commentary that was otherwisedull and lackluster.
Linkedin has a great freepodcasting course that I
recommend you take.
Lastly, you'll probably want toget a USB microphone rather

(03:21):
than recording into your phone.
It sounds like garbage.
So this guy either probablyknows me or something, like Mr
Sean said, probably somebody Iknow more than likely who knows
that I do this.
Whatever, ken Kenny Huber and Iwasn't reading from the Drudge

(03:41):
Report and I know I've said thatbefore on my podcast before
I've said look, I know I'mreading directly from these
things, but that's why it wascalled Carol Remarks.
Anyway, I gave this guy toomuch time on my podcast.
We're going to move on.
There's two stories.
I wrote one for the VictoryGirls blog and then I wrote one
for myself and Americanist.
The first one on the VictoryGirls blog is about Rosie

(04:03):
O'Donnell.
She had a big old feature inNew York Post how she, how Lyle
Menendez, is probably the onlywhite guy she can love and trust
.
What in the world?
What is going on with thesecomedians?
There was another comedian, whoopi Goldberg, who's been

(04:24):
criticizing the People who theyneeded to pay your taxes.
And now we've got the leftyliberal lesbian who thinks she's
in love with a cold heartedkiller.
I guess she befriended himsomehow on while he was in
prison.
She went on Larry King at onetime or another and said she
understands his pain, you know, being a victim of abuse herself.

(04:48):
Well, did you go kill theperson that abused you, rosie?
No, you did not.
Why?
Why did you not do that?
Because you're not acold-hearted killer.
But yet she's somehow excusinglyle menendez as, uh, his, his
actions.
And these two kids I say kids, they're grown-ass men now in

(05:09):
prison, 30 something yearsprison because they're coming up
for maybe some resentencingfrom the liberal Gascon over
there.
But they said that they killedtheir parents in self-defense.
That is total BS.
Their parents were watchingtelevision in their den when all
of a sudden, the two boys camein and shot them up with their

(05:32):
shotguns.
This is not self-defense, hello.
It's not even heat of thepassion or whatever that's
called.
It's not even that.
No, cold-hearted killers.
They need to stay their ass inprison Period.
Uh-uh.
No sympathy from me, trust me,for someone who knows about

(05:56):
stuff like that.
No, no, no, no.
All right, moving on to the nextthing I wanted to talk about
was which is on my blog.
At an Americanist I wrote lastnight and it's, it's on the
internet news, but you're notgoing to see it on the visual
news on tv, on on Fox andFriends or anything like that or
Fox News.
I have not seen it on any kindof conservative news yet.

(06:17):
But back in February there's a17-year-old teenager in
Wisconsin that killed hisparents, then stayed in the
house for 12 days with the deadbodies and I guess he got some
money from them safe from the.
And I guess he got some moneyfrom them safe from the safe and
he got some money from them.
He brought, you know, killedthem, took their money it was

(06:37):
his mom and stepdad and thentook off in the stepdad's car
because he wanted to start arevolution by assassinating
Donald Trump.
He had a plot he bought a droneand some explosives, I guess,
and was going to go kill thepresident and start a revolution
.
How come we are not listening?
How come we don't hear aboutthis yet?
Like I said, it's on theInternet news.

(06:58):
The BBC covered it, abc coveredit, the Post Millennial has
covered it online.
Why are we not talking aboutthis?
And I also want to know what ishappening to our young boys Now.
He's 17 years old and he'sconnected to a satanic cult,
white supremacy, neo-nazi stuffgoing on.

(07:18):
He's 17.
How did he get indoctrinateindoctrinate, I can't even say
the word indoctrinated into thiskind of thing?
Think back when your kids werethat age or even younger.
How you know, at a boy, maybe11, 12, 13 years old, he's out
playing ball, t-ball, baseball,whatever.
And I mean, how do you go fromsuch an innocence?

(07:41):
Because I have a son, I thinkback when he was those age,
before he was 17, when he wasyounger.
How do you?
That takes years.
I think of indoctrination andthinking that way.
Now I know there's the dark weband the internet, but I mean,
but then again, murdering hasbeen going on since Cain and
Abel, so it's not, and Cain andAbel didn't have video games and

(08:03):
the internet back then either.
It's just a dark heart, I don'tknow.
All right, shoot.
I don't want to really want toend on that note because it's
kind of.
They have him in custody,thankfully.
I just don't understand it.
I don't understand it.
Maybe, if you understand it, Idon't understand it.
Maybe, if you understand it,you can let me know.
All right, I need to do aquestion of the day.

(08:26):
Okay, I have a question for youregarding spring.
Do you guys, do you do your?
Do you do spring cleaning?
I remember as a teenager, myGod, I hated it.
We used to have to do springcleaning on the weekends.
You know, I hated it.
I mean moved everything, movedthe couch, took the curtains

(08:50):
down, I mean the window, it all, everything.
I hated it.
So I know I probably need to doit here at our house, but I
haven't.
But so do you guys do a springcleaning?
Now, what I will do is I will gothrough my clothes, stuff like
that, and take things out andgive them to good will that I
don't wear anymore that kind ofthing, but I need to do some
spring cleaning.
I just I feel like I work allweek and I really don't on my
weekends.
I want to relax, and maybe thathas something to do with my

(09:12):
childhood too, that we have towe used to have to do it on the
weekends and clean andeverything.
I just don't want to do it.
Oh, maybe I'll hire somebody tocome in and do it.
My husband takes really goodcare of the house as it is
anyway right now, since he isretired.
All right, I gotta go.
One more word for Kenny HuberGo get him Tiger, go out there
and go get him.

(09:33):
All right, I gotta go.
Thank y'all for listening.
Love ya, bye.
