TALK TO ME, TEXT IT

Is America's mental health crisis being overshadowed by physical health concerns? We examine whether RFKJ is truly addressing the root causes or merely scratching the surface. Our discussion takes a critical look at the roles of mental health professionals, questioning the integrity of the field as it stands today. We also confront a distressing pattern of violence within families, focusing on the alarming rise of children turning against their parents. Through this lens, we dissect the societal pressures and mental health challenges that could be fueling such tragic events.

Prepare yourself for an unsettling narrative as we unravel the story of Kirk Edwards Haslett III, a man whose fractured relationship with his father ended in a brutal murder witnessed by family members. We recount the grim details of this crime, exploring the possible motivations and family dynamics that led to such a heinous act. Reflect with us on the broader societal issues at play and the urgent need for a more comprehensive approach to mental health. This episode is a sobering reminder of the complexities and dire consequences that can arise when mental health is neglected.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, good morning, happy Wednesday.
We have a lot of death andinsane people on the podcast
today, so let's go ahead and getright to it.
There is some stuff happening.
Look, how many times have Isaid that we have a mental
health crisis in America.
Is RFKJ going to be able toaddress that, or is he solely

(00:26):
looking at physical health?
Is there a different departmentfor mental health?
We need to straighten that.
First, we need to clear out themental health field, because we
have a lot of nut jobs that arein charge of that, especially
with the transing All of thepsychiatrists, whatever
therapists they all want totrans you.
So we need to get rid of thatfirst of all.

(00:47):
Second of all, it's not gunviolence okay, it's.
It's not guns, it's the peoplebehind the guns.
Here we go Minnesota Sun okay, first of all, minnesota.
That should tell you something.
Right there, minnesota's sonexecutes his father inside
hunting cabin in front of familymembers.

(01:09):
They didn't see eye to eye.
So he shoots him what in thehell?
So he murders his own father.
This has happened a lot lately, with families, especially kids,
killing their parents.
This is happening a lot.
I have covered several storieson my podcast regarding this

(01:29):
topic A Minnesota man was on amission when he executed his
father in front of fellowrelatives.
After he broke into the olderman's rural hunting cabin and
shot him multiple times beforefleeing, kirk Edwards Haslett
III allegedly fired nine shotsat his father, 64-year-old Kirk

(01:52):
Edwards Haslett II, includingonce in the head, leaving him to
die in a pool of blood on hisliving room floor in Pine County
on November 15,.
According to police recordsobtained by North Pine County
News, the suspected gunman wasspotted on a trail camera with a

(02:13):
handgun walking towards thefamily's hunting cabin at around
8.40 pm, with the victim'sbrother being alerted by the
commotion and running to hisbedroom to grab a gun.
Haslet the third entered thecabin through a side door and
shot his father at least threetimes, according to the criminal

(02:33):
complaint viewed by the outlet.
By the time the gunman's unclereturned he saw his brother
lying on the ground near a couch.
Took him a long time to get hisgun.
The guy who was going to defendthe father.
He was still alive, breathing alittle bit.
Another relative recalled thesuspected gunman not saying

(02:56):
anything when he entered andimmediately fired the weapon.
He entered with a mission.
He entered to kill him, theunidentified relative said,
according to the report, hazlittIII and his father had not been
getting along for some time asthe alleged killer was not in a
good relation with their family.

(03:16):
Well, I wonder why?
Why is that?
Can somebody tell me?
Why was he?
What was the deal there?
Why were they not seeing eye toeye and what drove this kid to
kill his father?
Now, it's nothing that could begoing on.
No amount of arguing and notgetting along, calls for murder.
Come on, there's something elsegoing on.

(03:37):
And you know, for a long timethere I remember, for decades,
people wanted to call peopleevil and I thought that's a
little overstatement.
I think there's.
They didn't want to address themental illness.
I don't know why.
Uh.
So now face to face with twoother relatives.
Haslet reported okay, oh.
So now face to face with twoother relatives.
Haslet, reported okay.
Oh.
So now face to face with twoother relatives.

(03:58):
Haslet the third reportedlyordered them to sit on the couch
as the two pleaded for theirlives.
I guess this is after he shotthe father, um haslet the third
turned and shot his father inthe head, execution style, to
make sure he was dead.
Wow, uh.
The guy then went back to hisown house, called the sheriff to

(04:22):
talk something with hisgirlfriend.
Hazlitt's girlfriend said herboyfriend and family didn't see
eye to eye and that he wasfrustrated about a new security
camera his family set up nearthe cabin and that he hadn't
tagged a deer this year.
That's how the that's.
This is how the story ends.
Uh so, uh, hazlitt the secondhe had okay, before this

(04:46):
happened.
There was a scuffle before, notnot maybe not a physical
scuffle, but the father hadcalled the police on his son
before Hazlitt the third wasarrested at his.
Okay, let me go back instead ofgoing into hiding.
Hazlitt the third went back tohis back, to his home about
eight miles from the cabin, where he called the sheriff's

(05:09):
office over a concern with hisgirlfriend.
Uh so hazlitt the third wasarrested at his home and charged
with second-degree murder.
He is being held capable.
In October, not too long ago, amonth before, police were called
to the cabin because of adisturbance between Hazlitt III
and his father.
The irate son had reportedlybeen drinking and threatening

(05:32):
his father.
All right, well, there's cluenumber one.
I'm sure that's not the firstclue.
I'm sure there were other cluesbefore that Hazlitt II told
police that his son wasn'twelcomed at the cabin and he was
trespassing from the property.
The son was, I guess, wow, wow, wow, wow.

(05:52):
All right, next up we're goingto talk about some pit bull dogs
killing people.
I know people get pissed offwhen you talk about pit bulls
being what they are and killing, mauling people to death.
I know people get mad.
People have strong opinionsover pit bulls, let me tell you.

(06:12):
And they say it's not the dog,it's the person raising the dog.
And that might be true.
I'm sure that is true 90% ofthe time.
But I think there's otherthings going on.
An elderly woman who was 73years old, mauled to death by
her own pit bull insideMassachusetts.
She had a heart of gold is whatthey say.

(06:34):
An elderly Massachusetts womanwas mauled to death by her own
pit bull and her husband wasinjured when he jumped in to
help her.
Monday evening friends andpolice said geraldine brady
mcginnis, 73, was gruesomelykilled by her dog inside their
home in roxford.
Well, when you're killed by adog, it's going to be gruesome.
Her husband and two boston copswere also reportedly injured as

(06:56):
they tried to handle the killerdog.
Goodness gracious, all fourwere rushed to the hospital, but
Brady McGinnis died in hersurgery.
Her friend, goodness graciousshe got attacked some way and
they ripped her arm.
Mcguire 93 said authorities saidthe dog was shot and later put
down.

(07:16):
Said authorities said the dogwas shot and later put down.
The two police officers werebrady where and brady mcginnis
spouse suffered non-lifethreatening injuries.
She's very close to her animals, almost like children, I think.
Mcguire, who is a civil rightspioneer, said she took good care
of them.
She walked them every day.
Neighbors were afraid of thefour dogs owned by brady

(07:37):
mcginnis, with mcguire claimingthe couple had too many pets in
the home.
The police department'shomicide unit is probing the
incident because the injurieswere so severe, according to the
outlet.
Right, why?
Why is the homicide homicidegetting involved?
Brady mcginnis familyremembered their loved one as
someone who had a heart of gold.
So this is all they.

(07:59):
This is all they say.
That's it.
Three of their dogs wereremoved from the home.
So she had four dogs.
That's all.
That's all it says.
We need to follow up on that, Iguess.
I mean, what do you guys thinkabout that Pit bulls?
Do they get a bad rap or do youthink there's something wrong
with them?
Do think it's the peopleraising them.
What do you?
Why?

(08:19):
And it's always a pit bull.
So you know something's notright there.
Something's not right.
All right.
The last subject here we aretalking about.
This man is cartoonish, likeJames Bond or Austin Powers evil
villain type thing.
We're talking about Bill Gates.

(08:40):
He has lost his mind.
This man got very lucky withMicrosoft and he has been living
off that money ever since andhe is bizarro.
He's weird.
He's Bill Gates.
Wants to fight climate change byvaccinating cows to stop them
from emitting methane.

(09:00):
Y'all, y'all.
Okay.
I have a question.
I'm not a doctor, I'm not ascientist.
When people flatulate and cowsflatulate, are they different?
Is it different?
Do humans?
Do they pooed out methane?
I don't know.
I would think more people inthe world.

(09:22):
If that's true, why are wetargeting cows?
Bill gates is weird.
He has an obsession with cows.
I would be very worried.
I am very worried about the man, about him.
Microsoft founder and left-wingphilanthropist, bill gates, is
still brainstorming ways toreduce greenhouse gas emissions

(09:43):
by manipulating cow flatulencehe shared in a recent interview
with linkedin co-founder reedhoffman on the october 30th
episode of hoffman's possiblepodcast.
Gates explained that while workis ongoing to make cowless meat
more appetizing.
That's another thing.
Why does he want cowless meat?

(10:05):
Fake meat?
No, bill, no, no, no.
Just go retire, enjoy yourmoney whatever you have.
Stay out of this, come on now.
Cowless meat More appetizing.
You can't do it.
In the meantime, many othersolutions are being pursued by
the problem of methane emittedby cows as a result of digestion

(10:29):
.
Is it really a problem, bill,or are you just?
I don't think it's a problem.
Why?
I don't understand this.
Why does he think cowflatulence is a problem for
climate change?
There's not enough cows in theworld to make this happen, and
I'm not a scientist.
But come on, oh my gosh, thiscan't be.

(10:50):
I just don't even know whatthis guy anymore and he was so
one is to vaccinate the cows ina way that their gut bacteria
that emit the methane, which isalso called natural gas, or ch4,
which is the second mostimportant greenhouse gas.
You can vaccinate them, andthat species of bacteria isn't

(11:11):
there.
Okay, now you're messing withmother nature.
You might want to just stopthat right now.
You remember those oldcommercials it's not nice to
fool mother nature.
Yeah, let's not do that.
We don't want to do that.
Bill, bill boy there, okay, youcan go, finish reading that and
look.
It's quite long if the articles, I'm not going to read it all.

(11:33):
I just think that's bizarre andI need your thoughts on that.
Okay, moving on to the questionof the day.
Right, the question of the day.
If you could live in any movie, what would it?
It be?
I think I would like to live inForrest Gump because of that
house and where it was located.
It just seems slow, simple andeasy and not a lot of people.

(11:59):
I think if I were to, if Icould live in a movie somewhere,
it would be way back from thepast as well.
If not Forrest G, does somebody?
There's something from way backin the past when, when things
were easier and more simple andmore clear-cut.
That's where I would like tolive.
Okay, I gotta go y'all.
Thanks for listening andremember december 8th is coming.

(12:21):
Oh, also, I think today is my500th episode.
I think It'll tell me once Ipublish it.
I believe today is the 500thepisode of Carol Remarks.
Wow, again, december 8th willbe my last episode for the Carol

(12:42):

polished, a little bit morefocused on one particular topic.
I don't think.
I think I've only told a coupleof people what it's about.
I've already got the trailerdone.
The trailer is published.
I'm just waiting for some otherthings to happen and anyway

(13:07):
it'll be good, I promise.
