Speaker 1 (00:00):
Well, hello, good
morning, welcome to Friday.
All right, here we go.
We have some stories to bringyou.
I say we, like there's morethan people in the car with me,
it's just me.
I have some stories.
I say, well, okay, when I saywe, it's me and the New York
Post.
I need to write for the NewYork Post.
I would love to write for theNew York Post.
How do I get that gig?
I try to look into it, but youknow, I don't have a college
(00:26):
degree in journalism or Englishor anything like that, so I can
forget about that.
But I have my own blog and Ialso write for the Victor Girls.
So there, all right, let's getto the damn stories.
All right, it's Friday.
We have an update Suspects anddeaths of the Kansas City Chiefs
fans who were found frozen inthe backyard will stand trial.
Oh my gosh, I did not know.
They were bringing chargesagainst a couple of people.
(00:47):
I think they're bringingcharges against the drug dealer
who sold the drugs and the guywho lived in the house who
hosted the party.
Oh my gosh, y'all this is awarning do not do drugs, okay, I
mean, you think that would becommon sense not to do drugs,
but you know, some people justdon't get it.
Common sense not to do drugs, but you know, some people just
don't get it.
(01:07):
Two Kansas City Chiefs fansremained emotionless when, and
silent as, they met face to facein court as a judge ordered
them to face trial for allegedlykilling their three friends who
were found frozen to death intheir friends snowy backyard.
I have mixed emotions aboutthis.
Now, listen, these threefriends went to a party and,
(01:29):
from what I understand, they allthree partook in the drug
taking.
So it's not like somebody heldthem down and forced drugs down
their throat or how up theirveins or up their noses or
however.
They do drugs these days.
From what I mean, theyvoluntarily, from what I you
(01:49):
know, I would think they went tothis party and they willfully,
they they themselves said, yes,I'll take drugs tonight.
And this is what happens.
So jordan willis and ivorycarson sat at the same table and
, okay, we don't care about allthose details, um, but that's
their names, willis and Carson.
(02:10):
They faced second-degree murdercharges in the deaths of their
friends who were discovered inthe backyard of Willis's rented
home.
On January 9th 2024, last year, willis, who bonded out after
his arrest, was dressed really.
He was dressed in a lightcolored button.
I don't care what he's freakingwearing.
Um, the two remained silentthroughout the proceedings.
(02:31):
All right, judge abe quintshaffer wow, abe quint shaffer
ordered the case to move to ajury trial after finding
prosecutors had enough evidenceagainst the two men.
But what a look.
I'm sorry that these peopledied, but they should not have
taken drugs.
(02:52):
Willis and Carson were chargedwith drug distribution and
manslaughter charges back inMarch.
March, okay, yeah, prosecutorselevated the charges to murder
in June.
Goodness gracious, the threemen died of fentanyl and cocaine
combined toxicity.
Medical examiners found Willisis accused of distribution of
(03:12):
cocaine and Carson was slappedwith supplying fentanyl to
Willis.
Investigators found drugs inWillis' home during a search of
the property, including a bag ofcocaine that mostly had Willis'
DNA on it and another bag offentanyl which had Carson's DNA
on it.
He said Police found messageson Harrington's phone that
indicated Carson allegedlysupplied Harrington with the
(03:35):
cocaine.
Doc stated McGinney Johnson Jrand Harrington and Willis were
all at the home in the KansasCity suburbs where they were
allegedly drinking, smokingmarijuana and using cocaine,
said a witness who left thehouse before midnight on January
7th.
So they have a witness.
(03:55):
We have a witness that say theywere all partaking in it.
So these three men, theyingested the alcohol and the
drugs themselves.
They didn't have to.
They could have said no.
They could have sat there andwatched the game and said no,
they could have left.
Nope, the three friends hadeventually made their way
(04:17):
outside where they overdosed anddied in the below freezing.
We know the rest of the story.
So how do you feel about that?
Should these two men be facingmurder charges for this in the
below freezing?
We know the rest of the story.
So how do you feel about that?
Should these two men be facingmurder charges for this?
I don't know, I don't think so.
There, I said it all.
Right, trump signs, executiveorders.
Uh, for, okay, hold on, I gottaback up because I'm I'm getting
(04:40):
comments on these things and Ilove your comments.
Two, two-tier giblets system.
Okay, well, let's see what hisreal handle is.
Oh, it's hogasm, of course,two-tier.
Is it giblets?
Or yeah, giblet, giblets.
Two-tier giblet system.
Okay, I don't even know.
I don't even know.
Yes, I know who he is.
(05:00):
Okay, he says some might saythat's cold too soon.
Get it.
You know, because of the freezethey were okay.
Yeah, all right.
Moving on to the next one, trumpsigns executive order forcing
homeless off america's streets.
When I first read this Ithought, well, this is good.
I guess this.
I guess it's putting it back onthe states to take care of the
(05:20):
problem.
President Trump signed anexecutive order Thursday calling
on states and cities to endendemic vagrancy and rehouse
homeless people, including drugaddicts and those suffering from
mental problems, in treatmentcenters.
Well, here's the problem, dearTrump we don't have facilities
like that anymore, at least thatI know of.
(05:41):
We don't have facilitiesbecause, you know, thanks to
people like Geraldo for exposing, uh, some abuse that was
happening, they've just shutthem all down.
Um, we don't have that anymore.
You can't institutionalizepeople anymore, apparently.
Um, so let's see the orderredirects federal funding.
Redirects federal funding toprioritize shifting homeless
(06:04):
individuals into long-terminstitutional settings for
humane treatment through theappropriate use of civil
commitment.
So where are we going to putthem?
I guess we're going to buildfacilities for these people.
I'm all for that.
Let's do it.
We're building all kinds ofapartment complexes.
We're building stadiums.
We're building all kinds ofapartment complexes or we're
building stadiums.
We're building all kinds of.
We can build facilities, butthe thing is how you gonna pay
(06:27):
for it, I don't know.
So you can go finish readingthat story if you.
I think it's a good idea.
We do need to help the homelessand the drug addicted people out
on the streets, but they needto want the, the help too.
They have to.
They have to take the, the step, necessary steps and people.
Man, it's just it's rough, it'srough, it's rough.
(06:49):
Trust me, I've been aroundrecovery people, um, okay.
So the next step that I got twomore stories.
I'll try to be quick about it.
Florida boater tried to kill hiswife by throwing her overboard
after his line snapped onfishing trip.
But she clung to the boat andsurvived.
This lady, my gosh.
They're in their 60s I thinkboth of them are and they went
(07:12):
fishing.
They've only been married forlike three years, so I don't
know when you get remarried likethat later in life.
Man, you got to be carefulabout who you're marrying
because you don't know anybodyanymore.
But she is a survivor and he'sa whack job.
(07:33):
Goodness, it's a long, drawnout story.
I want you to go read it.
The fishing line snapped and sodid he.
A florida boater tried to killhis wife and dump her body at
sea after being set off by asnap line during a fishing trip.
But the bloody victim clungback to the boat, clung to the
back of the boat and was draggedto shore alive, according to
(07:54):
cops.
So this guy goes out there withfishing with his wife.
His fishing line snaps.
He goes crazy.
I don't know why he took it outon her, but he starts beating
the living crap out of her andthen she actually jumps
overboard the first time toescape from him.
Then she climbs, she somehow, she gets back on board and then
he starts beating the crap outof her and then he tosses her
(08:16):
overboard but she clings to theladder and I think she gets back
on another time and hecontinues to whoop her ass.
I mean, it's bad.
You need to go read this story.
It's horrible.
Um, I don't know what theproblem is, but she made it to
shore, good heavens.
I don't know how she did it.
I don't know how she did it.
That's crazy.
(08:37):
You need go finish that.
It's why it's a wild story andshe's a survivor, that's for
damn sure.
Hopefully she will not go backto this guy, my gosh.
All right, I'm going to leaveyou with an inspirational story.
Iowa boy born at just 21 weeks, becomes Guinness world records
(08:57):
most premature baby ever and twotier.
Giblet system said he ain't nobigger than a squirreled mm-hmm.
Carl Childers, I know whatthat's from.
He's got to be from.
Oh, I can't think of the name.
Billy Bob Thornton plays himsling sling blade.
Yeah, that's from sling blade,is it not okay?
Speaking of movies, thank you,mr Giblets the Gentonaut, mr
(09:20):
Giblets the Gentonite, mrGiblets, mr Shons, we are going
to watch Lord of the Ringsseries, but first I looked up
online how to watch them inorder, and they say, to watch
the Hobbit movies first.
First of all, I didn't knowthere were Hobbit movies.
There's three of them Now.
I've seen the Lord of the Ringstrilogy before, but it's been
forever ago so I don't reallyremember much about them.
(09:42):
So we're going to start withthe Hobbit movies first.
Tell me, if you've seen theHobbit movies, should we do that
or should we just skip that andjust go right to the Lord of
the Rings?
But from what I've read online, you're supposed to watch the
three Hobbit movies first andthen the Lord of the Rings.
All right, moving on to the Iowapremature baby, he was born at
(10:02):
only 10 ounces y'all 10 ouncesand this?
Let this be a lesson to peoplewho want to kill their babies.
Iowa bill boy mark already readthat an iowa infant who was
born at just 21 weeks ofgestation celebrated his first
birthday earlier this month witha new title the most premature
(10:23):
baby of all time.
Nash keen weighed only 10ounces 10 ounces when he was
born on july 5th 2024, 133 daysbefore his due date.
Wow, and they have pictures ofhim.
(10:44):
They have pictures of him y'all.
You need to go see this littlebaby, my goodness.
The tot, affectionately callednash potato, spent six months in
the neonatal intensive careunit at the university of iowa
health care stead familychildren's hospital.
That's a long ass title.
Growing into a happy and strongbaby boy.
Nash is so full of personality.
(11:04):
His mom, okay.
So the doctors?
Um told her that he wouldprobably have all kinds of
medical problems.
Um, but they, let's see.
Now I'm trying to find it.
Uh, nash was born 147, beatingout the preview.
Okay, I'm trying to find wherethe doctors had warned the
(11:26):
parents.
The obstetrician who deliveredNash, dr Melinda Schaefer, told
the Associated Press sheinformed Molly and her husband
Randall before birth that theirbaby could be burdened with
serious medical complications.
So was she trying to sway theseparents into not having the
(11:47):
baby?
It is really important to me tohave honest and open
conversations with parents sothey feel fully informed to make
the best decision for them.
It sounds like it, but he isthriving.
He's fine.
He does have to use some oxygen.
I imagine he'll eventually growout of that.
I don't know, I'm not a doctor,I only play one on tv, not
(12:08):
really.
Okay, we need to move on.
Oh my gosh, I've gone overagain.
I'm at 12 minutes.
All right, we need to do thequestion of the day.
Okay, here are.
Here's the question name or whatthree words would you use to
describe yourself?
Now, it's going to be differentfrom what you think.
I was going to ask what threewords would other people use to
(12:29):
describe yourself?
Those would be different, Iwould think, at least for me.
I don't know about for you, butfor me they would be, because I
think I don't know, I look atmyself in a totally different
way than maybe other people do,and I don't know if that's
because I present myself in adifferent, not on purpose.
Remember, a long time ago I toldyou that when I'm growing up,
people kept telling me smile, smile, smile, smile and I always
(12:52):
thought, well, I am smiling.
Until one day I caught myreflection in the mirror just
walking by and I was like, oh mygosh, I do need to smile more
on the outside, All right.
So anyway, and people used tothink in high school I used to
they, they thought I was stuckup because I wouldn't talk to
anybody.
I was terrified.
That's why I would always walkwith my head down whatever.
(13:16):
Okay, so I think three words todescribe myself.
I would use curious, reservedand, uh, punctual.
I know punctual is prettyboring, but lately I am boring.
As an older person, I am boringand I'm okay with that.
I'm okay with being vanilla, simple and boring.
I'm good, I'm good, I love it.
No drama, all right.
So what are the three wordsthat you would use to describe
yourself?
Thanks for listening.
Y'all have a good weekend.
(13:37):
Hopefully, the gents and I willbe on Sunday on Rude Awakening,
if we don't forget.
Okay, other than that, I'll be.
