Located in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, the War Remnants Museum is one of Vietnam’s most visited and emotionally powerful cultural sites. It offers a sobering look into the Vietnam War and the Indochina conflicts, focusing on the devastating impact of war on civilians and the country’s journey toward peace.

- Founded: September 4, 1975, shortly after the end of the Vietnam War.
- Originally named the “Exhibition House for US and Puppet Crimes,” it was later renamed to reflect a broader anti-war and peace-promoting mission.
- The museum is a member of the International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP) and the International Council of Museums (ICOM).

The museum features three floors of exhibits and nine permanent thematic galleries, including:
- Photographs and Documents: Graphic images of war atrocities, including the effects of Agent Orange and napalm.
- Weapons and Military Equipment: Tanks, helicopters, bombs, and other remnants of war.
- Prison Models: Replicas of the infamous “tiger cages” used to detain political prisoners.
- Special Exhibitions: Rotating displays such as “Dien Bien Phu in the Air” and “Agent Orange – Conscience and Justice”.
