Why is this happening? Does God truly work all things for good?
All things? Even death, destruction, pain, and addiction? What about murder?
Ward found himself working as a police officer in the heart of the L.A. riots, witnessing horrors he never thought he'd see, including the loss of his closest friend and partner.
To numb the pain, he turned to a nightly ritual of a giant glass of rum, just enough to escape—until it was time to face the world again the next day.
Where was God in all of this? Could He truly work it for good? Was He really in control?
