Welcome back to Anchored in Anacortes!
Kim is back this week with your local real estate market update and a look at what's happening in Anacortes from August 2nd through the 8th.

🏡 Market Update

  • 35 new listings in the past 14 days (including one on Guemes Island)
  • Only 16 homes went under contract
  • Buyers: This means more inventory and less competition
  • Homes are sitting on the market longer = potential for negotiation
  • Now could be the time to buy before interest rates drop (and prices rise)
  • Refinancing later is sometimes possible—but you can’t refinance to a lower price!
  • Talk to a lender early to maximize your purchasing power
  • The difference between pre-approval and pre-qualification explained
  • Having a pre-approval could mean the difference between winning or losing in a multiple-offer situation

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
