We understand that the pain of one who passes away is no more in this life. However, what now remains is that for us, we must go on with life, though bereaved, and frankly, this is not an easy matter to deal with. So, what is the answer?
I sat down for a candid and deeply honest dialogue with my wife to discuss this very issue. From her personal experience of losing her first husband and deep friend of 22 years, I thought you might find some of her insights encouraging. I, too, have had to handle matters of a sudden death in losing my son of 24 years old. And I am certain that here, in this listening audience, some of you folks have your own stories to tell. Together, I think we can all learn from each other that, at least, for believers in the redemption actions of Yeshua the Messiah, there is comfort, and there is hope. But still, even in this, the throbbing pain of the passing away of a loved one does not quickly fade. It takes time and a resolve to let them go, to begin the process of healing from the pain that we are all left with. Death is never a savior to take us away from pain and suffering. Death is the Last Enemy.
