Film director Nikki Hevesy Chats Re: Award-winning film A YEAR TO LIFE

Award-winning Director Nikki Hevesy's latest film short, A YEAR TO LIFE, has already won several awards at key film festivals in America and in Europe. The film is based on a true story, and it's the hopes of the director that this film will raise awareness about the juvenile incarceration rates, and how the schoolhouse to jailhouse pipeline disproportionately affects teens and young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds. In addition, Ms. Hevesy hopes the short film will also shine a spotlight on the hard work that is being done in BIPOC (Black,Indigenous,People of Color) communities to make a lasting impact on the next generation.
