Andrea (00:10):
Hello and welcome to my
podcast, Andrea TLC, in which
TLC stands for the Life Coach.
I am your host, Andrea.
Thank you for joining me heretoday.
Today, I would like to talkabout exploring a powerful tool
for visualizing and manifestingyour goals the vision board.
(00:34):
Okay, so, a couple of weeksback, I talked about
visualization, and that's whereyou visualize yourself achieving
your goals and experiencingsuccess, by creating mental
images of what success lookslike and what it feels like.
(00:56):
Ok, and we're going to takethose visualization and we're
going to put it onto a board.
All right, today I'd like totalk about what a vision board
is, why it works and how you cancreate one to align with your
personal goals.
(01:22):
I know everyone knows what avision board is is just a visual
representation of your goalsand your dreams.
It's a collage of images, wordsand affirmations that reflect
what you want to achieve and thelife that you want to live, and
(01:42):
the life that you want to live, okay.
So, by placing it in a locationwhere you see it regularly, a
vision board serves as aconstant reminder of your
intentions and it helps keep youfocused and motivated.
Now, if you're like me someyears back, you might be
(02:05):
wondering.
You know how a vision boardactually works.
That was me a few years ago.
So the power of a vision boardlies in its ability to harness
the law of attraction and thescience of visualization.
(02:26):
Okay, so when you visualizeyour goals regularly, you train
your brain to recognizeopportunities and take actions
that align with your visions.
It keeps your subconscious mindengaged and motivated, making
(02:47):
it more likely that you'llachieve your desired outcome.
Ok, so let's talk about how tocreate your own vision board.
Just like last week, I have astep by step guide to get you
started.
Ok, so step one is to set yourintentions.
Begin by setting clearintentions for what you want to
(03:14):
achieve.
Ok, take some time to reflecton your goals, both short and
long-term.
All right, what?
What do you want to accomplishin the next year?
Where do you see yourself inthe next five years?
Okay, so write down your goalsand aspirations in various areas
(03:36):
of your life, such as yourcareers, your relationships,
health, personal growth Okay.
Step two gather your materials.
So to create a vision board, you'll need a few basic
materials.
Okay, very, very basic, like aposter board, a cock board,
(04:00):
scissors, glue you know pens, magazines, printed images you
name it.
Okay, you might also want toinclude markers and stickers.
This is your vision board, okay, so decorate it to your liking,
(04:20):
you know.
Personalize it the way that youwant.
Okay, this is your vision board.
All right, so step three youwant to collect images and words
.
So start collecting the images, words and phrases that resonate
with your goals and dreams.
Look through magazines, printedimages from the Internet, or
(04:45):
even draw your own pictures.
Okay, choose visuals thatinspire you and help you with
positive emotions.
Remember, your vision boardshould reflect the life that you
want to create, so beintentional with your choices.
(05:07):
All right.
Step three you want to arrangeand assemble Okay.
So, once you have yourmaterials, it's time to arrange
and assemble your vision board.
Lay out your images and wordson the board Okay.
Before gluing or pinning themdown, all right.
(05:29):
So you know, play around withthe arrangements until you're
satisfied of the way it looks toyou.
All right, you can organizeyour board by different life
areas or creating more free-formcollage.
The goal is to create avisually appealing and inspiring
(05:54):
representation of your dreams.
That's the goal here, okay.
Step five place your visionboard.
Okay, so place your completedvision board in a location where
you'll see it regularly, suchas your bedroom or your office.
(06:18):
Pick a spot anywhere in yourhome.
The more you see it, the moreit will remind you of your goals
and it'll keep you focused onachieving them.
Okay, trust me on that.
(06:42):
Years ago, like I said, I wasintroduced to the vision board
and, yes, I did feel a littlesilly at first doing it, you
(07:08):
know.
You know it's just.
It was the fact of you knowcutting pictures out and all
this here stuff or whatever, um,the more that people were
instructing me on how to do avision board it, it at first
(07:31):
just seemed a little weird.
Um, but I did it, I went aheadand I did it.
Um, I took it serious, you know, at doing it.
And again, it's likemanifesting and looking at that
(07:57):
every, you know, looking at thatboard every day and focusing on
what it is that I truly wanted.
So when I say that the visionboard works, it does you just
have to have an open mind and beserious about doing it.
It does, it really works.
Okay, so now let's discuss a fewtips to make your vision board
(08:20):
even more effective.
All right, one be specific.
The more specific you are withyour images and words, the
clearer the goals will become.
So, instead of a vague image ofa healthy lifestyle, choose
pictures of specific activitiesyou enjoy, like hiking or yoga,
(08:44):
something like that.
Number two use affirmations.
I talked about affirmations inone of my episodes.
Use affirmations.
Include positive affirmationsthat reinforce your beliefs and
goals.
Phrases like I am confident andcapable or I attract abundance
(09:09):
and success.
These can boost yourmotivations and self-belief.
Okay, number three stay open.
Belief.
Okay, number three stay open.
While it's important to haveclear goals, remain open to
(09:31):
unexpected activities andchanges.
Your vision board is a livingdocument and you can update it
as your goals and dreams evolve.
Anything that you put on thatvision board is not set in stone
.
Okay, people change their mindsor they think of something that
they want differently, orwhatever it is.
Feel free to change.
(09:53):
Whatever it is that you want tochange on your vision board.
Remember, this is your visionboard.
Number four take action.
A vision board is a powerfultool.
It's not magic.
It's important to takeconsistent actions towards your
goals.
Use your vision board as asource of inspiration and
(10:17):
motivation to guide your dailyactions and decisions.
Number five reflect and review.
Regularly review your visionboard and reflect on your
progress.
I said it before, I'm going tosay it again and I'm going to
continue to say this.
(10:39):
I'm going to say it again andI'm going to continue to say
this Celebrate your success, nomatter how small.
Okay, I am going to continue onsaying that.
You're going to be so tired ofme saying it, but I'm going to
keep saying it.
Okay, adjust your board asneeded to reflect your new goals
(11:01):
.
Okay, Like I said before, it'sokay.
You have new goals.
Put that on your board.
All right, I hope you feelinspired and ready to create
your own vision board tomanifest your dreams and goals.
Remember, the power to shapeyour future is in your hands.
(11:21):
So keep dreaming big and takingbold steps towards your vision.
(11:42):
Until next time, peace, loveand light.
