In 1984, a woman waits by her broken down car on highway in Massachusetts when a man stops to offer assistance. Neither the Samaritan’s charming demeanor nor his handsome appearance cause the woman any alarm, so when he offers to drive her to a nearby mechanic, she accepts. She has no idea that she’s just accepted a ride from a serial killer. His evil intentions become apparent at the next exit when he turns the car in the wrong direction.
