Are we really living in the present? Or are we just too distracted by our minds... prisoners of our past, future, worries, anxieties, and anticipations? Join me, Alex, as we journey through an in-depth exploration of our relationship with the present moment. We'll uncover how we regularly fall prey to a pattern of 'present moment blindness', a psychological trap inherited from our collective mind.
The first part of the episode revolves around a poignant story of a beggar living by a river which illustrates how we often miss the beauty of the present moment, and how our present mental and emotional struggles are most of the time linked to our inability to live in the present moment. From this follows the idea that reconnecting to the present moment can lead to a profound transformation in our lives.
We start by recognizing that there is a voice in your head that won't stop talking. We encourage you to pay attention to how your thoughts keep constantly distracting your attention, bringing it to the past, future, imagination, etc. Understanding these collective mind patterns is the first step in our journey toward reuniting with the source of life itself.
You're encouraged to make it a habit to start observing your mind, and shown how to return to the present moment easily by simply paying attention.
Thank you for joining me! Until next time!
