In this week's episode, we continue our walk through the book “Duty to Defend” with a chapter by Rev. Drew Newman on Matthew 10:28. Gun-control Christians have argued that gun owners only own guns because of fear. And since we should not fear the home invader who can only kill our bodies, we should not own guns to defend our lives. Makes sense, right? Right. Rev. Newman explains the context and why those arguments fail.

In this week's episode, we continue our walk through the book “Duty to Defend” with a review of the chapter by Rev. Thomas Stark on Micah 6:8. Gun-control Christians suggest that you can't walk humbly if you have a gun for self-defense. Are they right?

This week we continue with our series covering chapters from my book “Duty to Defend.” In this episode we discuss the chapter by Rev. Larry Beane II about Isaiah 2:4 and the idea that, to be good Christians, we should encourage people to melt down their guns and turn them into farm implements.

This week we are continuing our series on the book “Duty to Defend” with an article by Rev. George T. McCall. Matthew 7:12 tells us that we should do unto others as we would have them do unto us. Does this mean we should avoid owning a firearm for self-defense? Since we don't want to be shot, should we avoid firearms so that we do not shoot someone else?
This week we are continuing our series on the book “Duty to Defend” with an article by Rev. Philip Zielinski. Matthew 6:19-21 cautions us to not lay up treasures on earth that thieves can steal, but rather the lay up treasures in heaven. The implication being that you should not own a firearm for home defense because you should not use deadly force in defense of property (ignoring, of course, more nefarious intentions of home intru...
We are continuing our series on the book “Duty to Defend” with an article by Rev. Guillaume Williams (of online hangout fame). Psalm 144:1 (“Blessed be the Lord…who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle”) has been used as a proof text for gun rights. But are we training for war? Is the criminal our enemy? Or is this just a careless misuse of God's word to support gun ownership? se of the verse?
We are continuing our series on the book “Duty to Defend” with an article by the late Rev. Richard Bolland. How can you love your enemy if you are willing to shoot them in self-defense?

Following the shocking assassination of an insurance industry CEO on the streets of New York City, voices on the Left have (unsurprisingly) celebrated — or at least justified — the killing, suggesting that it's tragic BUT somehow understandable. Sadly, those kinds of comments are not exclusive to the Left, and coming from some in the 2A community, it's a particularly bad look.
In this week's episode, Lloyd takes a look at the case of an Ohio man who recently argued that 18 USC § 922(g)(5)(A) is unconstitutional because it denies the right to bear arms under the Second Amendment to aliens who are unlawfully in the United States. We'll break down the arguments on both sides and the interesting questions raised by the case, both in terms of gun rights and President-elect Trump's stated plans to deport illeg...
Have you seen the new Volvo ad? It is unabashedly pro-life and pro-family and a refreshing change by corporate America to appeal to the “normies,” the men and women who turned the 2024 election for Donald Trump. To win the culture war, this is a step in the right direction. It reinforces the reality that two-parent families with children are not only not “weird,” but are good and desirable.
In this week's variety show episode, Mia, Sergeant Bill and Steve Clifford reflect on the outcome of the 2024 election and what it might mean for gun rights, for hunters, competitive shooters, and police.
