But hey, we got a couple earlygames to yeah you guys are.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
You guys are playing
in asia, so in japan, so that'll
be interesting.
And what time is?
Speaker 2 (01:08):
the first pitch buddy
uh 6 10 am eastern time kyle
tucker in japan, in tokyo.
Speaker 1 (01:18):
Is it tokyo?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
first home run of the
2025 season.
Kyle tucker how about that?
Speaker 1 (01:24):
in japan first homer
in Miami.
Speaker 2 (01:27):
Do you remember that
a few seasons back?
Speaker 1 (01:29):
I do there already
might be like three seasons by
now.
You know what We've talkedabout?
Speaker 2 (01:34):
this other rookie big
rookie who called it on air too
.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Oh, who did?
Speaker 2 (01:37):
You did Boog Boog.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Boog comes in out
there.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
He said he was
feeling a hap homer to start the
season and then, like thesecond pitch of the season,
comes with the only game thatstarted in the morning that day,
literally the first, the firstbatter of mlb and hap went deep
that that.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
You know, lone depot
park, which is the marlins home
park, has had some veryimportant first home runs.
Julio rodriguez se Mariners hithis first home run at Lone
Depot Park also.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
That's a random one,
seattle at.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
Miami yeah, because
the way the schedule started to
kind of shift.
I was there.
So, yay, yeah, I was there.
That's cool.
That was pretty cool.
Yeah, purposeful, did you planthat?
I didn't know he was going toplay?
I had no idea.
Yeah, um, it was one of therare moments where I actually
(02:28):
went to a marlins game thatwasn't with the mets so it was
just a happenstance that it washis first game there wait, what
did you say happen?
no, yeah, happenstance.
Ah, it's happening.
Yes, yes, yes, dad, jokes areyours, you know.
By the way, you know, on aroundthe bases, the pop culture and
(02:48):
sports podcast, we're lookingfor more listeners and more

Please tell your friends thatwe are here and we are every

subscribing and hitting thatsubscribe anyway, because that's
what makes things happen, uhyou tied it in all together.
(03:11):
A nice little bow nice little, yeah, a little package there.
Um, all right, speaking of bowsand tying in bows, and I will
do transitions and until the endof time, weirdly, um, but Beast
Games wrapped up its seasonfinale and spoiler alert.
Spoiler alert if you have notseen the finale of Beast Games,
you might want to wait until yousee me on video doing this and
(03:35):
you can come back safely.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
Yeah, jump ahead
about 10 minutes.
There you go.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yeah, about 10
minutes give or take, if I'm not
talking too long, but BeastGames.
Speaker 2 (03:53):
So last we left this
show they ended things with a
coin, a coin hanger coin hanger.
Yes, coin hanger, oh did I justcoin a new phrase in coin
hanger, I cannot believe you hadthe change to do that.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Patent pending,
patent pending.
There's no change there withyou at all.
I'm sorry folks, do not runaway from this podcast.
Please do not stop therecording.
Please don't run away.
Anyway, charlie, didn't mean it, no, I'm just kidding.
No, but you had to.
Was a coin, a coin up in theair, and I have to say you know,
(04:29):
from a a viewer standpoint, Idon't know how you feel about it
the way they started thisepisode was freaking fire like
fire.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
The way they're
showing the coin in slow motion
yeah, they're just kind of goingback and past and showing how
these contestants came to wherethey were, and, and they did
that throughout the episode hegave them a very good flip for
that as well, because you know, sometimes it just kind of like
teeter when it hits.
He got a hit and then a spinwhere it was.
(04:59):
It could have gone either wayfor a while.
It was good.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
It was.
And well, he got by in anearlier game through a coin flip
too.
For those of you who arelistening who don't know what
the heck we're talking about, atthe last episode, jimmy Mr
Beast offered them a deal If oneof them would come forward and
(05:25):
touch this coin and flip it.
If they won that coin flip thathe would increase the pot from
$5 million to $10 million, butif they landed on the other side
they would be eliminated.
So the contestant comes up hesays you know what I'm going to
do.
It at the end of the lastepisode, so we're waiting a week
(05:47):
big cojones like I would not dothat a
Speaker 2 (05:50):
hundred percent would
not have done that um, but one
of them flip for sure.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Just stand and watch,
oh yeah and I would definitely
be one of those people like, ohno, it would be awesome.
Think about the tv moment ofyou doing this, because, yeah, I
would, I don't have nothing tolose.
And, as it turns out, that'syou know interesting how.
That where we'll talk abouttouch on that in a minute, um or
10, um, but so he, he callstails right, yeah, he calls
(06:17):
tails and, uh, flips like asuper bowl just like the super
bowl and like the kansas citychiefs.
That's basically the only thinghe wins all right now, but I'm
bummed, um but and shout out bythe way, real quick,
philadelphia, eagles, fly, eaglefly, nice job I mean?
Speaker 2 (06:37):
I mean, if we want to
be technical about it, he
pretty much mirrored the chiefs.
He won the coin toss and didnot win the big game.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
But he did get a
bonus, like the Chiefs, and
we'll talk about that.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
They probably got a
bonus for reaching the Super
Bowl, so they'll sleep.
They've won twice already.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
I think Patrick
Mahomes will be perfectly fine.
He's probably on a beachsomewhere with his wife, so
anyway, he calls tails and itlands on tails.
Mr collapses, he's upset, he'slike oh my god, you know, it's
all fun, I lost five millionmore dollars I mean to mr beast.
That's nothing probablyamazon's money, that's right,
(07:16):
exactly, jeff bezos has to worryabout that, uh, and I don't
care um so I mentioned.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
They were way over
budget.
We'll never be carried onAmazon.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
This podcast will
never be on Amazon.
That's good.
So yeah, he mentioned they wereover budget, and I mean later
on the episode he mentions agiven away over 200 million
dollars or something like thator something like that, some
crazy number or 20 million, Idon't know, I didn't get that.
Speaker 2 (07:44):
Don't, don't, don't
quote me on that, yeah, 11, at
the end it's 100 and 180 millionbetween friends.
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Um so, um, yeah.
So he, he's the big herochampion blah blah blah wins the
coin flip.
The pot is now at 10 milliondollars.
He doesn't necessarily win the10 million, it's whoever wins at
the end wins the $10 million.
That's an important note.
And then so they each have todecide to stand on these
platforms in the order that theywere chosen to come down from
(08:16):
the wall in the last episode.
So they kind of they do that, and the object of this game.
This is a game where they'restanding on trap doors and they
have to throw the red ball in atube of their opponents
somewhere, and if they get theball in the tube, that person
drops, simple and only twogetting eliminated right, so
(08:39):
we're going to six to four, andso they go through the list and
you want to kind of talk aboutthe antics that go on a little
bit yeah, there's.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
There's definitely a
lot of gamesmanship, because
this is probably the first thingwhere it's both an advantage
and a disadvantage to be earlyup.
Because advantage, if you makeone right away, you're increase
your chances to advance yourself.
But if you miss your shot whichyou're going to miss a lot of
them, because it was a verydifficult, it's like a carnival
(09:08):
game, almost very hard.
Miss your shot, whoever youshot it at is going to be mad at
you, and then they're going towant to shoot it at yours.
So there's a lot of negotiatinggoing on you don't shoot at me,
I don't shoot at you, and thena lot of hey, don't shoot at me,
I won't shoot at you, and thenthey don't shoot at me, I won't
shoot at you, and then theydon't shoot at you, but then you
still shoot at them.
That happened a couple of times.
Speaker 1 (09:27):
That's not good.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
Yeah, that was wild.
And then let's just say karmacame around.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
A little bullying.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Yeah, bullying was
happening on this one girl
Bullying was happening and karmaworked out in the end, because
you wanted to root for heroriginally, but she was the one
who decided not to.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
I think it was
Yesenia.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
Yeah, exactly,
Yesenia agreed to the deal, so
she didn't shoot at what was hername?
Emily Maybe?
And then she missed, and thenEmily shot at her anyways.
So then what happens?
Yesenia eliminates Emily as thelast elimination of that round
to get to four.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
And you know what I
was like this, I, you know, I
believe in that karma kind ofthing happening, you know, and I
mean, listen, and you and Ihave talked about this.
They've all done questionablethings throughout the whole
series.
And you know what, when yousign up for a reality show, you
kind of have to put that aside.
(10:26):
I mean, if I ever have thegreat opportunity to get on one,
yeah, there's probably going tobe some things that I do that
maybe I would not do in normalreal life, and it's a game.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
As long as you don't
pull a JC, you'll be okay.
Nasty right, yeah, that guyit's it's as long as you don't
pull a jc, you'll be okay nasty, right, yeah, yeah, jc.
Speaker 1 (10:48):
By the way, folks, if
you don't remember, in the last
two episodes ago took a lot ofmoney away from a lot of people
and you know what I could seehere?
Speaker 2 (10:58):
I'm gonna put this
out into the universe just in
case, because it's the sameamazon universe.
I could see jc going on goat orhouse of villains probably
house of villains, house ofvillains make.
He's a villain for what he is,but that's an e show and amazon
has the goat, which is alsosupposed to be but isn't that
(11:19):
supposed to be like kind ofgreatest?
Of all time but yeah, butthey're not like the best people
they have on that one always, Iknow so I think it's supposed
to be kind of a joke into that.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
So it's meant to be,
like the.
You know how you have the devil, you know the whole devil and
the angel shoulder thing.
Well it's, it's basically thedevil is house of villains and
the angel is goat.
That's kind of the way I thinkthey view that show.
Um, not necessary, and I agreewith you and I I think there
were some contestants on thegoat that easily could have went
(11:50):
to house of villains and yeah, you know, I mean, I, I, I think,
but I think you're right, Ithink greatest of all times is
not saying the best of all times, it's the greatest.
So, um, so what?
So that game goes and then thenext game that happens is they
have to memorize the pattern.
Speaker 2 (12:10):
Oh, yes, oh.
And the catch is if you're thefirst one across, you pick the
person that goes with you to thefinal two, or if someone gets
eliminated, then it moves on tothree people in a new game.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Yeah, so Yesenia
decided to move her hand and
memorize the pattern.
Speaker 2 (12:31):
She decides.
You know what.
None of them are going to takeme, so my best bet is to do it
myself, and she does a very goodjob at memorizing the pattern.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
She does.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
But one little caveat
Perfectly, she does but one
little caveat perfectly, but.
But she did not start thecorrect puzzle in the right row,
not only did she not do it.
But the guy who finally triedto help her in the last game
after everybody was bullying heragain gives her the right info.
(13:02):
He says hey, you're starting inthe wrong row, it's one over to
your right she doesn't.
She didn't believe him didn'tbelieve him, boom she's
eliminated, oh my god.
And then that right there, thatmoment we'll just say maybe bias
karma for later.
Speaker 1 (13:18):
We'll bookmark it
charlie, you remember, though,
right that, um, if they stillhad to do the pattern and she
would have gotten it right shedid she?
Speaker 2 (13:28):
yep.
That's exactly.
That's why I said she did itperfect, except she started in
the wrong row because she nailedit oh my god like in that
scenario, it would have been herand then that same guy as final
two anyways, and it would havebeen them doing the last game
and they would have not done thegame at three dude.
Speaker 1 (13:47):
It would have killed
me to get that far in this game
and not win a single dime.
Like I mean they all won money,I think.
I think at this point all ofthem got money from the, the
whole, that whole thing hedidn't confirm that at the end
Did you keep watching?
Speaker 2 (14:02):
He did say yeah 2,000
each, they got.
Speaker 1 (14:06):
Yeah, every person
who played Beast Games.
And there's some question on.
Speaker 2 (14:13):
Yeah, if we take for
face value what we've heard,
there may have been 2,000players and they may have just
started airing it at 1,000.
I don't know for sure, but Ihave seen that.
Speaker 1 (14:27):
Yeah, unconfirmed.
So apparently, and this isunconfirmed allegedly,
apparently.
Don't sue us, please.
Thank you.
Um, apparently there was, and Iand I've seen video there was
an event at allegiance stadiumthat happened.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
That was not
televised and that would make
more sense too, for erica arefrom, we are family erica.
If she went out in the 2000 to1000 round, maybe that's why we
never saw her in the 1000 thataired, which is why she got to
play the mini game I know for afact she went to toronto, so I
think she did go to the cityokay, so we just didn't see her
(15:02):
get fall through the thing inthe first game right, I think
she was.
Speaker 1 (15:07):
I think erica and
I'll have to some at some point
talked with her.
I think she was eliminated onthat challenge where you had to
catch the ball in the tower.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
I think so.
She made it to the 500 I thinkso.
Speaker 1 (15:19):
I think so, but okay,
don't quote me on it which
would make sense on why mr beastwould have brought her to that
beast video and it would makesense why we may have not seen
her.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Because those were
chaos or just a million people
in all over the place, soexactly the one.
She was on the side where theball didn't go near her, or
something very, very I thinkthat's what happened, but we'll
I mean erica, by the way for ouraudience.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
erica was on, we are
with us, and she was also on
beast games.
Anise was also on beast games.
Anise put out a video this weekthat said that there were 2000
contestants in which you know Imean it does match up a little
bit with what I've seen Like.
For example, I have seenpictures at allegiance stadium
in Las Vegas of beast game stuff.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
October as well.
Right, wasn't he the third yeah?
Speaker 1 (16:05):
October was also on
Beast Games, and so my
understanding allegedly is therewere 2,000 contestants that
they whittled down at AllegiantStadium to 1,000, and then they
started rolling tape.
That's my understanding, and sothat event in Vegas was
basically the almost I wouldtake it the final round of
casting I don't know how else tokind of put it and then the
(16:31):
remaining thousand did this, Iguess at a soundstage local
where they did the drop thing, and then the city how far do you
think it dropped?
Probably about 10 feet, andthere was a mat mat as my guess.
Um, there was a Russianroulette game years ago on GSN I
don't know if you've ever seenit where they drop people
(16:52):
through the floor too, and Ithink it's kind of the same
thing.
Um, but the the the beast gamecity, for example, took place in
Toronto, and I thinksubsequently that's kind of
where a lot of that stuffhappened.
Um, until they went to theIsland and you know they did the
island thing.
Um, so I will say this um, sowhat were you even talking about
(17:12):
?
Speaker 2 (17:13):
um, these games we
were done, going from four to
three yeah, thank you, thank you.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
So the, the, she, she
eliminates herself.
And then we have um three, andin this one it's a popularity
contest, and one of them isranked by the top 50 players,
the lowest.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
It's similar to what
they did at the end of the
Island game.
Speaker 1 (17:35):
Yes, and if they're
that person and they don't
self-eliminate and we'll tellyou how you self-eliminate in a
minute then they get eliminated.
So Mr Beast rolls out anotherWhoever received the most votes
in the envelope was goingeliminate and we'll tell you how
you self eliminate in a minute.
Then they get eliminated.
So mr beast rolls out andreceived the most votes in the
envelope was going home exactly, and mr beast rolled out a
million dollars onto the set andsaid here's my last bribe in
(17:55):
the show um, million dollars, take it, and if your name is not
in that envelope then, um, Imean, if your name is not in
that envelope, then if your nameis in that envelope you'll get
eliminated.
So, michael, I believe.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
Yeah, whoever the one
who flipped the coin.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Yeah, coin flipper
guy.
I thought his name was Gage, gage, gage, see, this is.
It's terrible that we don'tknow these people's names.
Gage, yeah, decides he's goingto take the million dollars.
And let me let me put this in atim perspective, because it's
always about me um, if I was inthat position, charlie, I would,
one million percent, take themillion dollars.
(18:37):
I'll tell you why, even if Iwasn't sure my name would be in
that envelope.
When you get to the final two,you have a 50 50 chance of
winning 10 million.
Final two you have a 50 50chance of winning 10 million
dollars, but you have a 50 50chance of not getting anything.
Speaker 2 (18:49):
And a million dollars
is perfectly fine for me in my
life, like, really honestly, I,I think, I do think, though, in
the situation of the othergentleman, my, I think michael
is his name, maybe yeah, thatwas Michael right he and I was
so confident he wasn't havingthe most votes in there, as was
(19:11):
he.
He thought at that point it's a50-50 shot at 10 million.
That was a good call for himpersonally, but the other two I
think that was more of a debate.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
I seriously thought
Gage was going to be the lowest
vote, honestly, because in theedit other than the coin toss,
he was pretty non-significant inmy opinion.
Speaker 2 (19:34):
The only reason I
didn't think he would be, I
slightly leaned her was becausethey had an alliance of like six
or seven people, and that was Imean, it's a small group of 50
voters, alliance of like six orseven people, and that was, if
you I mean it's a small group of50 voters that six or seven
alone is 12 14 percent of thevoting that's true.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
That's so you can
easily count on you with the
math and the two of them weretogether.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
So if you think about
it all that whole group, even
if the two of them don't vote, that's at least four or five
votes for her as a head start.
So I know she had a few locks, for sure, but she also had a lot
of people didn't like hereither.
Speaker 1 (20:11):
Yeah, which is crazy
because, honestly, I mean, she
did do some things that werehonorable.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
I'll say, yeah, she
definitely did.
Speaker 1 (20:22):
She gave up the
chance of getting a million
dollars just to save her team.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
Generally speaking,
the three that made it to the
end.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
Her honorable.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
Ever since the last
25 or 50 were left.
Those three were, you wouldhave said.
I could have said any one ofthose three, I would have been
happy with a win or a bunch ofother people that I would have
been upset with.
So I can't really complain toomuch.
And I do think that he thehonorable move.
When they were down to four hetried to save her again when
(20:52):
everybody was bullying her.
So that kind of karma.
That's where I was saying.
It kind of ended up working outwhere, hey, he was honest about
it and instead of him beatingher at the end he ends up
beating someone else.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
So I will say this
though, charlie the editing was
not good in hiding who thewinner was yeah, I kind of had a
feeling.
When they started showing thepackages of the family and the
pictures, I was like, oh,because when they showed her,
they showed one picture of herand her husband, and that was
because when they showed her, they showed one picture of her
(21:23):
and her husband and that was it.
When they showed him, it waslike a whole package of video.
This and saving the son and thewhole thing.
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Although they did
show that they did do that In
fairness.
They did do that because it washis turn to guess first.
Speaker 1 (21:37):
Right.
But you know, I mean, if youcompare it Right, that's true.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
So maybe if he got it
, wrong, then maybe she would
have gotten at it until they'vegone back and forth because he
can't that.
He did make a point to say intheir practice runs with the
like workers.
He said on average it wasaround five or six, which means
they did it a number of times.
So for him to guess it right onthe very first time I think
(22:04):
they weren't expecting thatwhatsoever.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
I wasn't either.
So, folks, just so you knowwhat this is.
Speaker 2 (22:11):
Yeah, let's explain
the game.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Final game was 10
briefcases around a circle and
nine of the briefcases had an Xand one of the briefcases had a
check for $10 million.
And so the object was he tosseda coin and he won the coin toss
(22:33):
and he got to go first, whichmeans he put on a blindfold and
the other contestant had to takethe case for $1 million and
shuffle it around so that hewouldn't guess which case that
was.
And so she does this.
There's some case, there'sthree cases on the middle, and
she kind of messes it up alittle bit and does whatever she
(22:56):
does.
And case uh, so she's oh, youremove your blindfold.
And he, very intelligent, hesays you know, I know she has
five kids and five is going tobe too an important number for
her, so she's not going to pickthat number.
Um, but what's?
The next number adjacent is six.
So he ruminates between fiveand six, going back and forth,
(23:19):
and then he says you know what?
I think it's six.
And honestly, when he said that, I was like no, it's not going
to be six, I bet you it's goingto be five or it's going to be
whatever.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
You can see her gulp
when he picked it.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (23:31):
Visibly.
Speaker 1 (23:32):
Visibly like ugh.
And so he opened six and on thevery one in 10 shot on the very
first time, and one in 10 arenot bad odds.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
I mean very first
time, and one in ten are not bad
odds.
Speaker 1 (23:48):
I mean, you're the
numbers guy, I'm gonna say why
it was a much better chance thanone in ten.
Speaker 2 (23:51):
Yeah, go ahead,
because go ahead psychology two,
two, two huge decisions rightaway is what I noticed.
So, to start, all ten were inits own slots in a basically
like a carousel that swingsaround.
She moved, she could arrangethem however she wanted.
She moved three of them intothe middle, okay.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
So she took them out
of.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
Right away.
Psychologically, your firstthought is she's doing that to
mess with me.
Right, so right away.
I'm eliminating those threecases off the bat immediately.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
So we're down to 1-7.
Speaker 2 (24:26):
1-7.
Now we're up to 14.3.
You've gone from 10% to 14.3.
The other thing I'm going to donext is I'm going to eliminate
1, 2, and 3, because she's notputting it right in front of him
.
She's going to make him atleast move it.
It would be really risky to putit right in front of him
because that's where would yourisk it the very first round?
(24:48):
Hell to the no so that's whereI think, if it were me, that's
smart as shit.
I would have put it in firstleft or first right, not the
dead center one.
I would have put it right nextto them because they'd never
expect it.
But you don't want to put itthere in case they go.
Okay, I'm not even going totouch it, because you put it
there and you want me to move it.
(25:09):
So that's the one I wouldn'thave done so for those reasons I
would have then eliminated thefirst three, because she put
them on the other side.
So to me he had a pretty muchdown to like three or four cases
he felt pretty good about, andthat's where he roped in the
number five and that's where Ithink he probably went into it,
thinking he had probably a 25 or33 percent chance to nail it I
(25:31):
love that strategy, dude, likedang, you really thought about
that, like I do.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
That's a.
That's freaking.
I mean, if they don't, somereality show doesn't get you on
that's.
That's that like I would havean alliance with you.
That's some good thinking, likeI.
Oh, that's high level correct.
That's high level crap.
Speaker 2 (25:50):
Yeah, that's where I
think she she misplayed it a
little bit good psychological, even if she wouldn't have moved
them and just kept them in all10 spots and put it right I
think at that point at least,it's a one in six, one in seven
random guess, she's got muchbetter chance of surviving
because you can only reallyeliminate the ones right in
front in that if she were tohave all 10.
(26:12):
But the other option would havebeen if you wanted to risk it.
The only thing is is you knowhow she put the three in the top
, that as a triangle.
If you do put one of those as a10 million, trying to reverse
psychology into oh, they'llthink this is it at that moment
now you're a one in three chanceof them nailing it.
So do you really want to putyour go home risk at one in
(26:33):
three?
That's probably where I putthat down.
That'd be like option c or d,but I so she.
She shot herself in a foot.
10 normally around.
Yeah, because then there's 10choices.
That's for.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
Dude, I would have
done the same thing.
I would have left it exactlyhow it is and as quietly, mind
you, as I could, yeah, andturned it around several times.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
I would have closed
my eyes.
I wouldn't have wanted to knowwhere it was.
They don't tip your hand whenthey you'll which number.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
I don't know where it
is.
And to that point, jimmy, mrBeast had his crew turn around.
He turned around so theywouldn't know when they wouldn't
tip her off, uh, him off, um,yeah, oof.
But so he he opens the first,mr Beeson, is a $10 million
check.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
It was a good finish
to a good show, I thought.
Speaker 1 (27:25):
It was, and kudos to
Mr Beeson and his crew on a
great show.
I'll audition for it nextseason.
I mean, why not?
Mind you?
I probably would take the firstoffer and go.
Speaker 2 (27:34):
You know, I'm the
cheapo like that Next year would
that be lower than $19,000,though More people would take it
probably after watching, probably that would be you never
know, you never know that wouldbe my three thousand dollar
trivial great shows oh, butdon't boom how about another
traders oh holy crap, it's dude.
(27:58):
It's so fun to watch.
Speaker 1 (27:59):
It's really fun, dude
, dude it is the oh my God, it's
like the appointment TV for meright now.
That Survivor hasn't come backyet.
It is so good.
Speaker 2 (28:11):
And when Survivor
does come back, there'll still
be a couple episodes of Traitorsso it'll be like a happy which
is going to be beautiful.
Survivor Wednesday TraitorsThursday.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
Which is going to be
beautiful.
Yeah, so last we left Traitorsthere be beautiful.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
Yeah, um.
So last we left traders umthere was a murder in person to
take place, but they they, asusual, cliffhung it and I called
it right.
Speaker 1 (28:32):
I said that what
would happen is either they
would turn around and see alanor they're going to turn around
and see the, the murderers, andwe knew it wasn't going to be
tom, because they oversold hisreaction, which we called, and
then with no carolyn, look we'redoing.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
We're doing math and
stats again, where we already
narrowed it down to four people,so we had a 25 chance of
nailing it oh, chris shell, chris shell, chris shell, chris
shell, chris shell goes bye-bye,bye-bye, ch Bye, chris shell,
thomas Happy.
I'm sure you would have done.
No no, would you have taken?
Speaker 1 (29:06):
out Dylan A hundred
percent.
Dylan One hundred percent, Ithink Dylan and I think Tom.
I mean Tom is wacky, but Ithink they're strong players.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
I would I would have
definitely taken.
After tonight's episode episode.
They needed time to keep uppingthe prize pool money the only
one with any music talent Ican't even I'm not even gonna go
there.
You won't subject the listenerto either of us singing mary had
a little, all right.
Speaker 1 (29:33):
Anyway, that's the
regular way, but they go four
for four on the challenge.
Speaker 2 (29:37):
Another 20 000 in the
pot.
Speaker 1 (29:39):
It's getting up there
so the challenge was folks, and
we're fast forwarding a littlebit but the challenge basically
was one group went in the forest, one group uh stayed at the
mansion, at the castle and uh,the group at in the forest had
to listen to these nurseryrhymes backwards and it was
similar to a challenge they didlast season and also similar to
(30:00):
a challenge on big brother claimto fame claim to fame.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Remember the claim to
fame again.
Speaker 1 (30:07):
Yeah, claim to fame
had a similar type of challenge
where they had a like playtelephone and call back in, and
and so they're.
They're basically singing thesenursery rhymes backwards and I,
I, I'm charlie, texts me.
He says, let me know when youget to the singing part.
I was already there as soon asyou take me.
(30:28):
I was like, oh my god, I wasdead.
I was dead.
I was laughing my ass off, likebecause my, my mother literally
says what the hell are youwatching?
Speaker 2 (30:42):
he was making animal
sounds.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
It sounded like he
sounded like like chewbacca,
chewbacca like from star wars sothey won.
I mean tom sandoval, who knewright.
I mean he said he, he, and thenhe in the confessional.
He's like I want to tout mysinging prowess.
(31:04):
I'm like what?
Speaker 2 (31:05):
That's what we'll
call it.
Speaker 1 (31:08):
I was like, okay,
whatever you say, buddy, but
yeah, they do put money in thepot and so there's a lot of talk
during the banishment.
We'll go to the banishment,right?
Yeah, there's a lot of chatterthat continues a little bit from
last week with danielle andbritney and the fact that before
(31:33):
he left, derrick, named britney, is a possible traitor with
boston rob, but that kind of is.
I will say that was a um, thatwas just a thing, because that
wasn't really part of theconversation too much.
The real conversation wasgetting Sierra um because of the
of the um coffin and it wassmarter the traders to going
(31:56):
back to the coffin murder, uh,not to put one of them in the
coffin because, as it turned out, when they were talking, they
said one of them the coffin.
Because, as it turned out whenthey were talking, they said one
of them they're going tosuspect is one of us and if that
only person is left thenthey're going to kind of target
them and sure enough yeah theera was that target, and so they
, they all, pile on unanimously, except for sierra, who voted
(32:20):
for britney on sierra, andsierra is banished.
And of course, sierra revealsthat she's a faithful and
they're like oh, we messed thatup again.
Yes, you did um and danielleand caroline live, caroline
living to see another day andthen they go up into the turret.
(32:41):
To murder.
But they get interrupted on thedoor and who comes in?
Alan?
And Alan says you have a choice.
Speaker 2 (32:53):
We called this last
week.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
We did, we said that
there was.
Speaker 2 (32:57):
If they survive
through it, that this would be
the option.
Finally, this would be theepisode where they would do it.
Speaker 1 (33:03):
This would be a
recruitment.
And, sure enough, that'sexactly what's happening.
So then they have a choice theycan either murder like they
usually do, or they can recruitsomebody, and so there is an
understanding now that the lasttraitor has to be based on
talking to castle a female, andso now they're kind of going
(33:24):
back and forth.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
One or two.
They're unsure about that.
Speaker 1 (33:27):
Right.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
But at least one.
Speaker 1 (33:30):
At least one, and who
are we going to bring on?
And at first Carolyn's like no,I don't want to bring on
anybody else, I just want tokind of continue.
And she's not the biggeststrategic thinker.
I will say that CarolynDanielle is a more strategic
thinker.
So basically, danielle'stelling her.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
It seemed like it was
a lose-lose proposition for
them, because if they decide tomurder, they almost have to
murder a guy because they needthe numbers.
If they murder a girl to try tothrow them off the scent, all
they're doing is hurting theirown numbers, and then the guys
still think it's a girl traderanyways.
So basically they're going tolose two girls back to back and
then they're going to be next tothe chopping block.
(34:15):
So it was kind of a tough spotto be in from the start.
Speaker 1 (34:19):
Exactly, and so my
thought process.
You know.
At first Danielle was trying topush Brittany, and if I'm
Carolyn, no way I agree with her.
Speaker 2 (34:28):
There's no way.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
I would bring
Brittany on.
What are you crazy?
Cause, then it's going to betwo against one and I mean I
absolutely I'm not the biggestfan of Carolyn, but I absolutely
agree with her there.
Yeah, no, Um so.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
I.
He ruled out Dolores cause itsaid she would never do it,
She'd be bad at it.
So that only left them with twochoices I think gabby's gonna
be recruited.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
I really do it's
gotta be gabby has to be um, and
I think she'll absolutely do itand she'll love doing it too.
Um, yeah, yeah.
So I think that's what's gonnahappen?
Speaker 2 (34:58):
do they throw gabby
to the wolves or do they try
their best to trick everybody?
Speaker 1 (35:07):
here's the thing,
though.
Let me and this is going back acouple of seasons to, or last
season, even when that happens, the I'll say this Gabby has been
a faithful for so long that shehasn't acted suspiciously at
all.
So if they try to do that toher, though, then she literally
(35:31):
can turn the tables on them, andthey would believe her more
than they would believe them, because they already have
suspicion on them, and thiswould be more fire that is in
Danielle and Carolyn's direction.
So I think, if they do try toturn on her I think Danielle,
because I don't think anybodyreally suspects Carolyn I think
(35:51):
Danielle is.
I think Danielle's time islimited.
I do not see her getting to theend, as much as I would love
her to.
I don't see it.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
Yeah, it's going to
be tough.
It's going to be tough.
Speaker 1 (36:03):
What are you looking
up?
Speaker 2 (36:05):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 1 (36:06):
Are you looking up
something?
Speaker 2 (36:07):
No, I wasn't.
Speaker 1 (36:08):
Oh, I thought you
were looking up data.
I was like, oh, you got data.
No data this time.
But I think you know, I thinkCarolyn, I think Carolyn is
going to get to the end.
I think it's going to be hardfor Danielle to get to the end.
Speaker 2 (36:21):
Yeah, it's going to
be hard for Danielle to get to
the end.
Yeah, they're, both might be introuble, which could be a nice
sneak for Gav.
If they were true, gabby couldbe a chance for her to win the
game.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Yep.
So we'll see.
We'll see.
That is beast games andreminisce.
We must, we must talk aboutthis.
We must because our friend ison this show, our former cast
member of we Are Family.
I'm pointing to the poster ofwe Are Family Phillip D-Block
(36:54):
represents.
Phillip is on DL&OD Island, aswe've talked about.
He's pretty much heavilyfeatured in this episode, would
agree definitely a lot of, a lotof airtime a lot of airtime and
um, we'll go back to last week.
You know.
He had a poignant moment wherehe talked about being bullied as
(37:16):
a kid and I I was like totallyon board with that and of course
poverty has to be poverty andsay, well, he's not really.
What did she say?
not a good game player, orsomething like that not a
strategic thinker not astrategic thinker something like
that yeah so when that airedlast week, I was like, okay,
this is setting up for something, there's going to be some kind
(37:38):
of payoff.
And we wait a week and sureenough, this episode.
There's a challenge where theyhave to grab these rings.
And we wait a week and sureenough, this episode.
There is a challenge where theyhave to grab these rings.
Gesundheit, they have to grabthese rings and the idea is
there's three levels of ringsright, and so there's a high
(37:59):
value, medium and at risk.
And so if you grab a high, highrisk ring for somebody else and
and you get it, then they canget the larger cases.
Speaker 2 (38:09):
Yeah, with a high
value to high value case,
they're safe.
Low value case are at risk.
Speaker 1 (38:15):
So Phillip goes and,
and and, pulls a ring for Letty.
Letty, Thank you.
Um, and so Letty's like oh, I'mgoing to have to pill for
Philip, which didn't makeseveral of the contestants too
happy, and that's where thisstarts.
So it ends up David pulls aring for Philip and Philip is
(38:38):
safe, and so they go throughthis process and they end up
with a bottom six, I think, orbottom four, I think four, okay,
bottom four, and um, the uhletty has to decide once again
who is going to face the banker.
Um, and she picks.
(38:59):
Oh, who does she pick?
Do you remember?
Speaker 2 (39:03):
ck, I think ck, yeah,
ck.
Speaker 1 (39:06):
Who's the pot stirrer
?
That's right, yeah, um, ck ispicked to face the banker and
they're going through the roundof banker.
And I'm gonna straight up tellyou guys you don't have to worry
about spoiler alert here, folks, because there's none to spoil
mbc, mb.
I'm talking to you, stop thisnonsense.
Do not do cliffhangers If youare doing every week with
(39:31):
elimination.
Speaker 2 (39:32):
We need one result a
week.
Speaker 1 (39:33):
Yeah, what is this
nonsense?
Speaker 2 (39:36):
You're not that
Listen you're not big enough for
that Two elimination week andthen yeah.
Speaker 1 (39:42):
Oh God, it pissed me
off so much that they did that
they let.
Speaker 2 (39:46):
I think we've had
this great many times, and
that's why we can continue tonot phenomenon the other ones
because of some of those reasons.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
But yeah, and there
was a show that was on usa that
we phenomena was it for them?
Anonymous, anonymous, did thesame thing and it upset me.
Um.
So wait, does that mean we'regonna get two eliminations next
week because they didn't showthis week's?
I don't know right or are wenow?
Speaker 2 (40:10):
they've done that
sometime and sometimes it just
cliffhanging again to the nextweek so they cliffhanged so
throughout throughout thebankers round.
Speaker 1 (40:20):
Poverty is is doing
this to our buddy philip, and
I'm poking myself, basicallytrying to poke in the bear yeah.
And so philip's like I'm fine,I'm fine, and he's trying to
compose himself as he's tryingto play a real good kind of even
keel game, which I respect.
And um c cake.
And by the way, why wouldphilip be nervous?
(40:43):
Because quite he's not up forelimination.
So what does that matter, he'ssafe.
Ck says at the end.
She goes Philip, why are you soquiet?
And what's going on?
Is it because David saved youwhen you sent his buddy home?
And Philip goes listen, and I'mnot.
(41:07):
I'm going to paraphrase this,I'm going to be as good as I can
.
He goes you're not going to golow and think I'm going to go
high, I'm going to gounderground, so much so that he
talks about Harriet Tubman andgetting getting that, basically,
harriet Tubman would have totell her to run and he it's a.
(41:30):
If you have a chance to see theclip, it's, it's, it's really
funny.
It's really funny.
I'm like I was like shoutingyeah, he fell up.
I was like, yeah, you go.
Man, it was really good, it wasa really good reality TV moment
.
I'm glad he had a moment.
But um, and they, they end it,they.
We don't even find out the nextround to bang it, except I'm
(41:50):
like and I I don't know aboutyou, charlie when I ended it I
was like wait, what justhappened?
Like I didn't even look at thetime to see where we were.
I was like wait, what justhappened?
Speaker 2 (42:00):
see because of I
don't know how we're, how you
watch it, but that's one of thedvr shows, so it always has like
a yellow line when it's gonnacome back from commercial, like
why am I seeing a yellow line?
And I, when we got there andI'm like there's only four
minutes left of this episode, there's no way it's gonna
resolve.
What the heck?
and I knew that the the momentwas coming from what you had
(42:23):
mentioned, so I'm like there'sno way this is gonna end well
I'm so mad, I was so pissed, dude, I was so incensed and
annoyed, etc.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
Etc.
Etc.
Um, oh, so, all right, that'sDeal or no Deal.
Island, to be continued,obviously.
What else did we have to talkabout?
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Well, if you want to
jam in the floor for third base,
we could briefly mention it didopen.
There have been two episodesout so far.
I have only seen about one andtwo thirds of them.
Speaker 1 (43:02):
We've been asked by
our casting, our um casting that
same email as well castingcompany that cast us for we are
family sent us and apparentlythe other seasons of the floor
because I talked to some of myfloor friends um an email asking
to promote it.
So here we go, we're going topromote it on this podcast.
Uh, if you're not watchingseason three of the floor, you
(43:24):
really want to.
It's really a great show.
There's a new twist happeningnext week apparently, so this
week's episode of the floor wehave the great um oh hallerhan
from clerks, and clerks too, andum brian oh halleroran playing
on the floor.
His category was convenientlyenough Convenient store items.
(43:52):
Which you know, I would havethought it would be Kevin Smith
movies, but you know it's notenough, I guess.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
I didn't realize this
until tonight's episode.
I didn't see it in the firstone, but two people from
Bachelor in Paradise, bachelorNation, are on it.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
Yes, no, she can't.
Speaker 2 (44:12):
And it was a Harlem
Globetrotter too yeah there you
go it should be an interestingseason he won his duel that was
a fun one.
I crushed that category me too.
Speaker 1 (44:25):
you know what
category I didn't crush in the
first episode Mountains, which, one Mountains, mountains.
Speaker 2 (44:32):
Okay, yeah, that was.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Oh, that was terrible
, you know which?
Speaker 2 (44:34):
one we both did not
do well on either.
It was female country musicians.
I didn't know, what they lookedlike.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
I think I got like
three I got Carrie Underwoodwood
, I got reba mcintyre and dollyparton, I think, and there was
another one early, that youshould have got too yeah, I'm
sure I did.
Speaker 2 (44:52):
Shania twain was
another yeah, shania twain,
leanne rhymes.
Was there, leanne?
Speaker 1 (44:56):
rhymes um, yeah,
carrie underwood, I I don't know
like that.
The mountains was really badfor me and geography in general
is, as you know, from mydecisions on trivial pursuit, um
, of eliminating that categoryin that round.
Um, I'm not good with that.
But and, by the way, you know, interesting and interestingly
enough, because I always have tomake it about me the producers
(45:18):
of the floor are the sameproducers that produce trivial
pursuit.
So wow, there you go Differentnetworks.
Different network but, yes, samepeople that are in charge.
A lot of them, not all of them, but a lot of them.
So yeah, watch the Floor.
The Floor is on Fox Wednesdaynights at 9 pm.
Check it out, and we will billour casting company for this
(45:44):
promo.
I'm kidding, kidding, it's ajoke, it's a joke.
So we talked baseball a bit.
We're getting ready forpitchers and catchers.
We have a lot of excitementhappening in Arizona and Florida
.
I am going to my first springtraining game next, a week from
(46:06):
Sunday, which I'm real excitedabout.
I'm seeing the New York Metsface the Miami Marlins triple A
team.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
Single digit days
away.
Can you believe it?
Speaker 1 (46:17):
I'm so excited.
I'm so excited.
Um, I love it and I will try todo some video to play on this
podcast of that and we'll do a aman in the street, man in the
field, kind of thing going on.
Speaker 2 (46:28):
Yeah, get some
interviews while you're out
there.
Speaker 1 (46:30):
We need to get like a
microphone that has, like, our
logo on it, Put our logo on thismic and just kind of like talk
to people and think that I'mofficial.
Can you imagine, oh my God, ohmy God, and real quick.
You know we'd be remiss if wedidn't say that again.
I mentioned it earlier, but thePhiladelphia Eagles Fly, Eagles
, Fly.
(46:50):
Beat the Kansas City, not justbeat, trounced the Kansas City
Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (46:56):
They dog walked them.
Speaker 1 (46:58):
I was like, when we
got to like, when we because I
was rooting for the Eagles whenwe got to like over 20 points, I
was, oh my god, like this isawesome um like it was so bad.
Speaker 2 (47:09):
That's no.
No, it was so bad that patrickmahomes threw a touchdown for
the other team after no, no, no,no, that's not, oh, okay but he
threw a touchdown pass anactual touchdown after nick
sirianni had already been dumpedwith gatorade.
Speaker 1 (47:27):
That's how over the
game was I think he was, I think
nick sirianni was dumped withgatorade like with two or three
minutes left on a clock even.
Yeah, like they were like oh,we won that's.
Speaker 2 (47:39):
That's when you know
it's bad.
Speaker 1 (47:41):
I was was like.
That's rare.
That doesn't happen often.
What is happening there Not?
Speaker 2 (47:45):
only did they do that
, but Kansas City scored, got an
onside kick, scored again andstill lost by 20 points.
I mean, they got humiliated.
That was just.
Speaker 1 (47:58):
Yeah, imagine Kansas.
Speaker 2 (47:59):
City in that game.
Come on Amateur hour.
Speaker 1 (48:02):
Eagles all day.
Well, you know, and I'm sureyou picked the eagles um 100
percent um.
Speaker 2 (48:09):
Congratulations, nick
, testa and franklin.
Speaker 1 (48:12):
Yes and and melanie
melanie also yes, he was very
happy that her eagles won, that's amazing.
Speaker 2 (48:20):
Any other philly, any
other philly, my.
Speaker 1 (48:22):
My buddy, AJ AJ
congrats.
Speaker 2 (48:24):
Congratulations, AJ.
Shout them all out.
Speaker 1 (48:27):
I told AJ, don't get
used to it.
Speaker 2 (48:29):
How about some
celebrity shout-outs?
We can thank Rob McElhenney andCaitlin.
Speaker 1 (48:36):
Olsen yeah, that's
right we can shout out Bradley
Cooper.
Anne.
Speaker 2 (48:40):
Hathaway, Quinta
Brunson.
Speaker 1 (48:43):
All the Phillies, all
the Phillies.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
All the Phillies.
Speaker 1 (48:45):
Philadelphia.
So, yeah, I just want to make apublic service announcement
with that, though, charlie, realimportant for this guy.
Don't climb any poles, that, and also Don't my cat's playing
with something.
Don't get used to that,philadelphia, because baseball's
happening now and the mets aregoing to trounce you that's all.
Speaker 2 (49:09):
That's all I will say
, though, phillies, I got a
decent squad, they got a decentsquad.
Speaker 1 (49:14):
Wait, you're gonna
say what, what happened?
Speaker 2 (49:15):
I mean it's.
Is it not factual, I guess?
Speaker 1 (49:19):
how's the cardinals
they're?
Speaker 2 (49:20):
pretty decent.
I, I think the mets are better, but they're pretty decent,
that's all.
Okay, okayets are better, butthey're pretty decent, that's
all.
Speaker 1 (49:26):
Okay, okay, wow,
you're going to get the baby
diapers going again.
Speaker 2 (49:29):
Well, really, let's
just I mean, how many?
You got the Mets as a playoffteam.
Right, we can do this realquick.
You got the Mets as a playoffteam.
How many are in your NL Seven?
Make it?
Are you in your NL Seven?
Make it?
Oh yeah, I mean our division.
Is Philly in yes or no 100%?
(49:50):
Okay, so then they're a decentteam.
You just said 100%.
Speaker 1 (49:54):
They are.
I don't want to admit that.
What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (49:58):
I mean I'm wearing a
Jackie Robinson shirt.
I'm just trying to get a littleperspective here.
Speaker 1 (50:02):
Is it perspective or
you're just trying to stir the
pot?
Speaker 2 (50:04):
Let's see we got
Philly, we got New York, we got
Atlanta, we obviously got theDodgers.
Speaker 1 (50:09):
You can forget the
other two teams in the East.
Forget the Nationals and forgetthe Marlins.
Speaker 2 (50:14):
I'm throwing the
Dodgers in there, and you know
what?
I'm throwing the Cubs in there.
I'm throwing the Cubs in there.
That leaves two more spots forthe NL.
Speaker 1 (50:24):
Did you get the
Padres?
Speaker 2 (50:26):
We'll put the Padres
as one of the possibilities.
Speaker 1 (50:30):
Brewers.
Speaker 2 (50:33):
I'm sorry, I'll put
in the D-backs.
Speaker 1 (50:38):
You got to bring.
Speaker 2 (50:39):
I got Arizona as a
yes, all right.
Speaker 1 (50:41):
You got to.
If you're going to bring Phillyin, I'll bring Milwaukee in.
Speaker 2 (50:45):
Okay, well, we got
eight.
We got to eliminate one.
Speaker 1 (50:47):
All right, let's
eliminate.
Speaker 2 (50:51):
Padres or the.
Speaker 1 (50:52):
Brewers.
I guess the Brewers You'll likethat.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
Yeah, I got a kid,
there we go.
All right, there's our sevenplayoff teams.
We've got Philly, we got theMets.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
We got the mats, we
got the braves, we got the
dodgers, we got the cubs, we gotthe padres and the d-backs.
So, yeah, I, I think, I, Ithink it's going to be mets on
top in the east and I think it'sgoing to be, um, phillies and
braves.
Actually, um, I think that'sgoing to be the way it kind of
shovels out.
Speaker 2 (51:22):
Yeah third Atlanta.
Third.
Speaker 1 (51:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
Okay, yeah.
Speaker 1 (51:26):
Um, although Atlanta
and Philly probably
interchangeable, I will say this, and we're going to have, by
the way, folks coming up in theend towards the end of March,
like we did last year, we aregoing to have a season preview
episode of around the bases thatyou'll see where we'll have our
fancy graphics and all that funstuff on the screen.
We're definitely going to dothat.
Yeah, I do.
(51:47):
And the AL East, real quick,I'll say Boston just signed Alex
Bregman for too much money.
Speaker 2 (51:56):
I'll say that.
Speaker 1 (51:56):
They can have him.
I mean, I think you know AlexBregman's great, I think someone
I read a tweet that reallypointed out the best.
It says don't look for any hitsfrom him until June, because
that's what he does, that's whatAlex Bergman does.
Speaker 2 (52:15):
It's a good part for
him.
He'll probably have a niceseason, but he's not worth.
Aaron, judge money, let's putthat.
That's a hard no.
Speaker 1 (52:22):
And that's the
evaluation.
He got right.
Well, yeah, I mean, mean, heonly got three years, but
essentially he got the.
Speaker 2 (52:31):
The net present value
is technically lower because
there's some deferrals, but froma straight money standpoint
he's getting 40 million a year, which is what judge got hard.
Speaker 1 (52:40):
No you know what, in
the end of the day, in three
years, if he's out of baseball,he's set for life, so good for
him yeah, no, it is very good.
Speaker 2 (52:48):
It's not like he
hasn't made any money yet.
Speaker 1 (52:51):
I'm happy with the
Red Sox overspending.
Speaker 2 (52:53):
I don't care and, I'm
sure, the Yankees.
Speaker 1 (52:56):
He's away from our
league exactly if he wasn't
going to come to the Cubs.
Speaker 2 (53:01):
I'm happy he went to
the American League, I think.
Speaker 1 (53:03):
Boston's going to
come to the Cubs.
I'm happy he went to theAmerican League.
So I see, you know, I thinkBoston's going to be strong.
I think the Yankees are goingto be strong.
Even without Soto, I don'tthink they're going to be as
strong.
Although they'll like to thinkotherwise.
I think the Mets are going tostill have a better record than
the Yankees.
I think the Mets are going to.
Yeah, I think it's going to be.
There's no comparison.
(53:24):
But in the AL too, I think, Ithink, you know, maybe the
angels might surprise somebodythis year.
Possibly Shout out to NicholasPepin, our buddy, who else in
the in the American league, theAstros, I'm not feeling them.
Speaker 2 (53:43):
Oh, then I'm still
holding my ear to the angels.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
I'm trying to be
positive bro.
Speaker 2 (53:51):
I'm trying to be
positive.
If the angels win about 70 to75, I think it'll be a success.
Speaker 1 (53:57):
I'm trying Nicholas.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
I'm winning them in
the no category.
Speaker 1 (54:00):
Nicholas, I am trying
.
If you don't see those of youmajority apparently that are
listening you're not watchingthis podcast.
Charlie did that face wherehe's like squamish and kind of
his teeth are like like from theSimpsons.
Yeah, not true you know, Ithrow crap out because crap out
(54:26):
there, as you, as you point out,and rightfully so sometimes.
What do you, what do you see asyour top teams in the american
league?
Speaker 2 (54:31):
not that we
necessarily follow the american
league I think that the east isgetting at least three, at least
so the yankees, the red, honestly, I think any one of the
ALEs teams could make theplayoffs.
I think at least three.
Speaker 1 (54:47):
Yeah, Yankees, Red
Sox, Blue Jays.
Speaker 2 (54:49):
Wouldn't shock me if
they got four.
I think the Rays are going tobe better than people think.
They've got a lot of their guyscoming back from injury this
year.
Speaker 1 (54:57):
Well, they are
playing in a minor league park,
which I think will benefit them.
I think it's going to be a bigbenefit to them they've got a
bunch of lefties in that lineupand that park is tailored for
lefties, so it's it'ssteinbrenner field.
I won't count them out at all.
Yeah, I think that will benefitthem, I agree, so you want me
to throw another sleeper intothe ring here.
Speaker 2 (55:17):
Tigers, well there
are, I think, past sleeper range
.
They already got to theplayoffs.
They won a round last year.
They're good, I think they're.
I don't know if the Centralgets more than one team.
They might, but the Tigerscould definitely be in the mix.
Keep naming a team that youwouldn't expect.
They finally started spendingsome money this year.
Royals, you're in the rightneighborhood of caliber team
(55:43):
Rangers.
Nah, they're a recent worldseries winner, right division um
, so you're talking americanleague central american league
west oh west wait.
Speaker 1 (55:54):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
So all right,
mariners, keep going they're
good, but I think they'realready expected to be better um
uh, we already said, this teamwill be playing in a new stadium
this season.
Speaker 1 (56:08):
Oh, Oakland yeah.
Speaker 2 (56:10):
Oakland, really, I
think Oakland or Sacramento, I
think they're going to surprisepeople.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
What are they going
to call themselves?
Are they going to be Oakland orSacramento?
Speaker 2 (56:18):
Sacramento A's.
They're a wild card team.
A wild card?
No, I'm not saying they'regoing to make the wild card.
Speaker 1 (56:31):
I'm saying they could
be a flying ointment type team.
They improved it more thanpeople think.
So there are going to be twoteams in the american league
playing in their home games inminor league stadiums this year,
which is crazy, that is crazy.
Um, and you know there is, it'sa serious possibility, speaking
of the Tampa Bay Rays, thatthey may eventually shift to
Orlando.
I mean, that's becoming moreand more of kind of the buzz and
(56:54):
, honestly, wouldn't make adifference to me personally.
And honestly, orlando, geographically for those of you
who don't know, who have neverbeen to Florida, it's only an
hour's drive away from Tampa, soit's not exactly that far away,
so possible, and that wouldmake the Orlando Magic not the
(57:14):
only sports team in Orlandoanymore.
So we'll see, we'll see.
Yeah, anything else you'd liketo talk about?
Speaker 2 (57:22):
No, I think we
covered it I think so pretty
thorough I want to give a promo.
Speaker 1 (57:30):
Um, a heads up real
quick.
We have coming up.

carry it a little bit yeah, wecan't just have Sam.
You know, we can't give him thefull load yeah, we need to be
at least partially in there.
We've seen a few, not like wehaven't.
Speaker 1 (58:05):
We'll we'll complete

Wicked um.
You need to finish.
Wicked um.
We need to watch it wild robotone of the wild robot animated

once already our baseball uhseason preview show, which I

that whole episode.
