About Jill Weisberg:
A native of Hollywood, Florida, Weisberg is the Arts and Culture Coordinator at the Community Redevelopment Agency of Hollywood. She has been curating and managing the CRA’s Downtown Hollywood Mural Project, a contemporary exterior mural project, for over ten years. With more than 30 murals and counting, the award-winning DHMP is the largest walkable mural project in Broward County and features renowned local, national and international artists. Weisberg received both her BFA and MFA in Graphic Design from Florida Atlantic University in 1994 and 2010, respectively. She was awarded a Creative Investment Program Grant from the Broward Cultural Division for She Comes First: an exterior, type-based public art installation. Other exhibitions include FAIR: an all-female, alternative, non-commercial art fair presented by Spinello Projects at the Brickell City Centre in Miami, Florida, Locust Projects (Miami), Design Sublime (Miami), Bailey Contemporary Arts (Pompano Beach, Florida), Girls’ Club (Fort Lauderdale), the Truman State University Gallery (Kirksville, Missouri) and Gallery RFD (Swainsboro, Georgia). She co-owns and co-curates Storefront Art Studio, an online and pop-up gallery, with her partner, Brian Gefen. They live in Hollywood, Florida, with their two cats, Ringo and Kira.
