About Linda Jacobson

Linda Jacobson was born in Los Angeles and currently resides in Venice, CA. She studied and received degrees at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, Otis College of Art and CSUN, Northridge. She was mentored by Lorser Feitelson and his wife Helen Lundeberg, Harry Carmean, and studied with Hans Burkhardt and Charles White.

Jacobson's national and international exhibits include: Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Galerie Rohlilng, Berlin; MRG Fine Art; George Lawson Gallery, Culver City; Gallery K, Washington.DC; Karpeles Museum, Santa Barbara; Kathryn Markel, New York; Mt. St. Marys College, Los Angeles; Ruth Bachofner Gallery, Santa Monica; California State University, Los Angeles; Loyola University, Los Angeles; CSUCI, Camarillo, CA; Caldera Gallery, Greece; Gallery du Theatre, Geneva; and Galerie Marquet, Paris.

She received an Artist-in-Residence fellowship at Dorland Mountain Arts Colony where she created paintings fusing landscape, depth psychology & mysticism. These ideas have been the genesis of her body of work and her very popular courses at UCLA Extension, Art & Transformation where she was chosen Instructor of the Year and nominated for most innovative college course in the country. She has taught at Art Center College of Design, Pasadena; UCLA Extension, and currently teaches at Otis College of Art.  She leads art workshops nationally and internationally as well as private classes in Venice.
