Sunny (00:09):
Hey Astro Friends, this is Astrology AF, the show that
talks everything astrology aboveand below the totally real and
not at all illusory sky.
I'm Sunny, your host, with over30 years of chart reading
experience.

Bootes (00:25):
And I'm Boots, your hosteling, with almost 30 years
experience questioning innocentpeople to tears.
We're here to walk with youthrough the twinkling starlight
into the basic, the advanced andthe obscure.
Hi there, welcome to AstrologyAF.
My name is Boots and I'm Sunny, and today we are here to
present you with a Venus cast.

(00:46):
We're going to be talking abouther today.
So, as you may be aware, venusis a planet and she is third in
our order.
We are following the Tulmaicorder of planets, and they are
ordered in such a way because oftheir speed relative to the

(01:08):
zodiac and how quickly they moveacross the sky.

Sunny (01:11):
Yeah, they're fastest possible speed.

Bootes (01:13):
Okay.

Sunny (01:14):
I mean all the planets, or most of them, except the
luminaries.
All of everybody else goesretrograde.
They slow down, they speed up,but the fastest possible speed.

Bootes (01:28):
Okay, okay, interesting.

Sunny (01:31):
So Venus moves about a degree a day right, Roughly,
Roughly In that.
So here's where science gets tocome in there is astronomy gets
to come in.
We know from telescopes andpeople being out in space and

(01:52):
all of that.
We know that Mercury and Venus, from Earth's perspective, are
staying right with the Sun.
Okay, right, you know, we'reall orbiting the Sun.
Earth is also orbiting the Sun,so you know.
So are the outer planets.
But from an astrologicalperspective, we always see

(02:18):
Mercury one sign or less awayfrom the Sun, venus two signs or
less away from the Sun, andthat's because they're orbiting
the Sun.

Bootes (02:30):
Right, right.
From our point of view, they'realways together out here, as we
spin around them Right, furtherout, right.
And so then, when you get to,because those are the only ones
that are really bound to the Sun, right, and then Mars can be
Avisually, yes.

Sunny (02:48):
Correct.

Bootes (02:49):
Correct, and then you get out one layer further than
us.
Mars is not, doesn't have thatlimitation of how far away.

Sunny (02:57):
Mars goes wherever.

Bootes (02:59):
Because, it's further out than us Right, right.

Sunny (03:03):
So, but so your your initial question was Venus
travels about one degree a day,and because Venus is traveling
with the Sun, which goes onedegree a day yes, that is the
average speed of Venus.

Bootes (03:18):
Okay, okay.
So we use Venus in a number ofways.
First one is or I guess firstthing to know about Venus is the
signs that it rules.

Sunny (03:32):
Right.

Bootes (03:33):
So we have Taurus as its is, taurus nocturnal or diurnal
.

Sunny (03:37):
I believe Taurus is the diurnal, diurnal.

Bootes (03:40):
And then Libra.

Sunny (03:41):
And then Libra is the nocturnal.
Okay, venus ruled sign Right.

Bootes (03:46):
And then also they get assigned Taurus is Venus's
feminine expression, okay, andthen Libra is Venus's masculine
or yang expression, and usuallyit goes that way it's masculine
planets are day, feminineplanets are night, right, okay,

(04:09):
yeah.

Sunny (04:11):
There's some weird stuff with correlated, because, also
technically speaking, there areonly two feminine planets and
all the rest are masculine, right, so the moon is considered
feminine and Venus, of course,is considered feminine, yeah,

(04:32):
but everybody else is a guy, oh,you know.
So, even just correlatingmasculine and feminine planets,
well, there's two and two versusfive, right, or more if you're
going to also include the outers, yeah.

Bootes (04:50):
And then I think it's interesting too that when you
get into like triplicities, youhave Mars ruling all three water
signs by triplicity, and Marsis considered a masculine planet
and all three water signs areconsidered feminine signs, and

(05:11):
so it's not always, like youknow, having a masculine planet
in a masculine sign it's.
They're always intermixed and Ithink that that says something
about the nature of theseenergies that are being, that
are observed with the signs andthe planets.

(05:34):
Is that it seems to paint agood picture to me that at night
you have it's night becausethere's a lack of light.
The space is empty and ready tobe filled and receptive, which
it tends to be what we considerfeminine, and then in day, the

(05:54):
space has been filled by lightand so that energy is there and
it's going out as opposed tocoming in.
But yeah, that littledigression.

Sunny (06:08):
And speaking of night Venus, if one is born during the
night, if you have a nightchart, venus is the greater
benefic.

Bootes (06:19):
Right.

Sunny (06:20):
For a night chart.
For a day chart.
Venus is also a benefic, but itis a lesser benefic.
It's not as potent and powerful.

Bootes (06:32):
And so, with it being the lesser benefic it tends to
be, is it called lesser beneficbecause of its action being
shorter lived or not asnoticeable, or is that just

(06:54):
because it's smaller?

Sunny (06:57):
Those are good questions.
So in a day chart where itwould be the lesser benefic,
venus's action is more.
It's more restrained, it's moreit might be lovely food or a

(07:17):
friend coming by or somethingthat's wonderful, but isn't
necessarily fireworks going offin the sky.
Oh my God, this thing happened.
It was so great.
Okay, yeah, makes sense Right.
In a night chart, however, thethings that Venus brings are the
more potent beneficial things.

Bootes (07:39):
Okay Interesting, and Jupiter's kind of more chilling.

Sunny (07:44):
And Jupiter is more just chilling.
And you know being like afriendly guy and you know.

Bootes (07:51):
He's like oh no.

Sunny (07:51):
I'm off right now I mean, this is not if you need
anything talk to her.

Bootes (07:59):
Venus's rulership are Libra and Taurus.
Venus's fall and detriment areScorpio is fall or detriment.

Sunny (08:12):
Honestly, I'm not sure.
Okay, Either one of these twoare not great placements.
Scorpio and Aries Right.
So both of the Mars ruled signs.

Bootes (08:26):
Yeah yeah, the Mars also being the lesser malefic.
It's funny that they kind ofhave like their beef together
and they don't like each other'ssigns, because Mars is also
when it's fall and Libra, they're directly opposed each
other in the zodiac.
And then Mars rules Scorpio andVenus rules Taurus, and so

(08:53):
they're also opposed to eachother in that situation.
And then for Venus's exaltationthat occurs in Pisces, right,
and then Venus's, I guess it'sgot just the exaltation to

(09:14):
rulerships and a detriment, well, a fall.
Does Venus have a detriment?
See, the other thing is not allof the planets have detriments,
not all of the planets havefalls.
Some of the planets have bothdetriment and fall in one sign.
If, for the sake of gettingfamiliar with these, you really

(09:35):
do have to look at Ptolemy'slist of essential dignities, so
while she is looking at that,I'll go a little bit into the
things that Venus tends to dofor us so that we see associated
with Venus.
So she is associated with allthings beautiful and pleasant
and lovely, luxury and sweetsand fruit and love and dates and

(10:03):
kisses, and also diplomacy andagreements and social relations.
So it's not just romanticrelations, it's also any
relationship that you have withpeople that you are trying to
keep good.
Venus is the one who knows therules about what you do or don't

(10:24):
do in order to preserve afriendship or to start a
relationship with somebody.
She is there as the advisor onhow to be polite and how to deal
with people in a way that youwant to have a harmonious

(10:45):
relationship, that being, inkind of her more Libran side.
The Libra side of Venus is veryfocused on relationships, and
then on the Taurus side sheexpresses more of her.
I guess you could kind of thinkof it as Venus being in a

(11:12):
garden or Venus by herself onher day off.
She's going to be drinking finewine and she's going to be
eating great food and maybeseeing great friends that she
doesn't have to build arelationship with but the
relationship is already good andenjoying flowers and sitting on
fluffy cushions and all of thatsort of thing or sort of more.

(11:36):
What I get out of Venus andTaurus being like that tangible
comfort and that physicalpleasure, and then Venus and
Libra being more of theconceptual pleasure I think of
it as relational.
Relational yeah.

Sunny (11:53):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, and interestingly so, you spoke
about the rules, that Venus isgood at, the rules and Jupiter
is the law and Venus is therules.
Yeah, venus is also theunwritten rules, the unspoken

(12:16):
rules, and just like I heardthis recently and I was like, oh
, because, just like Venus isthe loveliness, the places where
the rules are being obeyed andit's just pleasing, venus is
also rules the places where therules are not being obeyed,

(12:42):
where things are not pleasing, the things that repel us.

Bootes (12:47):
Okay, venus is concerned with Okay, Because she knows
the rules, the unspoken rules, polity and all of that Right.
And she also knows, in knowingthat she knows, what is against
those rules, what is uncouth, what is not desirable both sides

(13:07):
of the scales with Libra, sheunderstands both ends of the
spectrum and knows how to keepthat meaning or to go off of it
if she is not.
You know if the center is notwhat is appropriate, and if
she's also very concerned withit, what is appropriate, then
she knows how to go to one endof the spectrum or the other and

(13:29):
kind of slide those scales backand forth with when to be.
You know, like the, I thinkthat if you were to be bitched
out by Mars or Saturn it'ssomething you've probably heard
before.
But if you get Venus to thepoint where she's yelling at you
, that would probably be adifferent kind of sting, I would
imagine.

(13:49):
Yes.

Sunny (13:50):
Yeah, very much, so, very much.
So.
What'd you find?
So, yeah, you were right.
Exaltation is Venus is exaltedin Pisces, okay, and the fall is
Venus in Virgo.

Bootes (14:06):
Venus in Virgo.

Sunny (14:07):
Across from Pisces.

Bootes (14:08):
Okay.

Sunny (14:09):
And then Scorpio and Aries are the exile or detriment
of Venus.
Okay, so there's actually threesigns where Venus is not at her
best.
Huh, interesting.

Bootes (14:29):
That's a whole quarter of the zodiac there's a whole
quarter of the zodiac.

Sunny (14:33):
And we, you know, we also have to remember this is Venus,
not at her best, you know, which is it's like okay, all
right, it's okay, you know itjust means maybe grumpy.
Yeah, she's still Venus, shejust didn't sleep as well as she
would like to have last night.

Bootes (14:52):
Right, yeah, exactly.
Something that I was readingabout yesterday, too, is that
with the, with the benefits aslike you're not going to, you're
not going to suffer Right Fromthe benefic being somewhere.
If you've got Venus and Scorpioin the 12th house, she's still
going to be doing Venusianthings.
She just doesn't have as muchpower to act as she does if it's

(15:14):
Venus in Libra in the firsthouse or Venus in Taurus in the
10th house.

Sunny (15:20):
You know, right, true, very true.
So, so, yeah, so Venus is.
You know the other things thatI was coming across when I was
doing my little bit of researchor reminding.
You know, going through andgoing oh yeah, I've forgotten
Art, refinement, music, you knowall of those.

(15:44):
You know we can, we canenvision.
I always talk about Venus inher own house or Venus in
Scorpio's house, and I'm alwaysdrawing a picture of.
You know, venus in her ownhouse has all this beautiful
Grecian furniture.
You know, and you know watertinkling down in a fountain and

(16:12):
some beautiful, sweet classicalmusic.

Bootes (16:15):
Yeah, being fed grapes on.
Being fed grapes on.

Sunny (16:18):
Ouch, exactly, and so, and so that's, you know, that's
what Venus is, is like in herown house.
And then she goes into thehouse of Mars, for example, and
it's, you know this, all thismetal furniture, that's, like
you know, just awkward.

Bootes (16:36):
He's just like.
I made that in the garage.

Sunny (16:38):
It works, but it's ugly and you know three different
colors.
You know that the music isheadbanging, you know it's just
a complete mismatch.
But back to Venus in her own.
It's all this refinement, it'sdelicious food, it's beautiful

(17:02):
music, it's art that gets you,you know, it excites you and
gets you thinking.
So you know.
So Venus is very much justthose kinds of that vibe.
It doesn't even have to be,it's not about a picture on a
wall, but it's the vibe.

Bootes (17:21):
Okay, yeah, everything is following the golden mean and
Fibonacci sequence and all thetiming is right and the patterns
are beautiful and perfect.
And then in, so she has herexaltation in Pisces and I kind
of think of that as being thatshe's in a place where she

(17:43):
wouldn't have picked what's uplike on the walls and the
furniture and all that sort ofthing.
But she goes in and she goes.
Oh my god, I love this.

Sunny (17:53):
This is gorgeous.

Bootes (17:54):
Where did you find these drapes and stuff like that?
Like she is very at home there, but it's someone else's house.

Sunny (18:01):
Yes, yeah, well, an exaltation.
The best explanation I haveever heard for exaltation it is
this is she is an exalted guest.
Yeah, it's like, no, this isnot your house, but we want to
honor you, we want to serve food, we want to, you know, bring

(18:22):
people over that you would enjoy.
Spending time with you are ourguest.
Okay, you know, now I've gotthe.
Be our guest going.

Bootes (18:34):
No more of that or Disney will copyright strike us.

Sunny (18:41):
But yeah, so that's kind of the vibe of Venus in Pisces.
Okay Is you know this is notyour home, but you are so
welcome here, we are so happy tohave you.

Bootes (18:55):
Favorite guest.
Favorite person you want overall of this.

Sunny (18:58):
Yes.

Bootes (18:59):
Yes, and so her being in then her detriment of Envergo.
That's kind of I think of it,as she's stifled and overwhelmed
by Mercury going through andpicking up individual grains of
dirt off of the floor andeverything is kind of nice, but

(19:22):
it's too stressful, it's notlaid back how she likes to be,
it's like there's too much.
Oh, do you have everything thatyou need?
Do you have?
Do you need any more coffee, oris the chair comfortable enough
for you?
I can get you another chair.

Sunny (19:38):
Mercury and Venus do not really share a vibe.
No, I mean, they're not at war, they're not.
They're not hating each other,but they're.
They don't get even, you know.
So, yeah, yeah, there's alittle bit of it's awkward.

Bootes (19:56):
They see each other at holidays.

Sunny (20:02):
We should.
We should write stories, Havingconversations.

Bootes (20:08):
Deeply anthropomorphized planets.
I've got a few little noteshere as far as Venus in horary
charts and kind of some of themore other classical
significations of Venus.
She is considered cold, moist, nocturnal, feminine rules,

(20:31):
everything that is soft, prettypleasant, fragrant, attractive,
sweet fruits and candies, kisses, marriage treaties.
Marriage and treaties are kindof along the same line of being
that agreement between people.
They're negotiated, yeah, fun, art, music, makeup, perfume,
jewelry and jewelers.

(20:53):
I know a number of people whohave Venus in Libra, myself
included, who are very intojewelry making.
Yeah, let's see Musicians, people with Venus in any kind of
position.
You like music?
And if you say you don't,you're not people, sorry, oh,

(21:18):
wow.
Models and decorators, and thenmothers in day charts
especially.
And then with the body, venusrules the kidneys and I also see
it said that she rules thereins of the body and I have no
idea what that means.

Sunny (21:38):
I have not bothered to go and look it up.
R-e-i-n-s.
Okay, so like the leads thatyou hold on horse.

Bootes (21:45):
Yeah, I don't know.
I don't know what that means.
If you know what that means, please let us know.
And then she also rules thenose and the sense of smell,
which I thought was interesting, makes sense.
And then the reproductiveorgans, particularly the

(22:09):
feminine reproductive organs orthe receptive reproductive
organs, however one would putthat.
But yeah, and then in her, Ithink that's about all that.
I had just harmonious relationsand pretty things, and anytime
that she's going through, whatever house she's in, during

(22:32):
transits, she's typicallybringing good things and even if
she has a difficult aspectgoing on with another planet,
the best way to look at it, Ithink, is that she is more
tempering.
The other planet, whether it beSaturn or Mars or Pluto, Uranus

(22:53):
transits, neptune transits, whatever and if she is aspecting
or conjunct to Jupiter, thenthat's just, you've got gravy
with candy in it.
It's going to be really goodtimes for whatever's going on
with both houses that they're in, and if you get a conjunction
between the two, like we will ina couple of months here, or

(23:14):
probably last half of next year,I would assume.

Sunny (23:17):
Yeah, a conjunction.
So she'll be in Taurus.
Yeah, that'll be in the spring.

Bootes (23:23):
Ooh, there's a good time for a talisman.
Yeah, when that Jupiter andVenus conjunction happens in
Taurus, that will be assumingJupiter isn't retrograde, and
even if it is, it still won't bebad.
Right, that will be a reallygood, auspicious timing.

Sunny (23:42):
There's an auspicious time coming up in March where
Jupiter is still in Taurusdirect, not retrograde and Venus
will be in Pisces, yeah, sothat's a lovely.
That's a lovely time where wecan be doing all the lovely

(24:03):
stuff.

Bootes (24:04):
I actually have that saved in my calendar as the when
I'm going to make the secondpart of my Venus talismans.
Nice, because I've got in.
When Venus first went intoLibra a couple months ago from
recording, I made a Venustalisman.

(24:26):
That was all about having Venusand Libra qualities.
And then but I it was reallyquick and I wasn't prepared
enough, and so I ran out of time.
I didn't get to make all threeof them, I only got to make one,
and so I still have the otherparts.
But I was going to wait until.
I'm going to wait until March, when Venus is exalted in Pisces,

(24:49):
and then we'll also haveJupiter there in Taurus.
I think that that will be areally interesting placement for
making a talisman with as well, and I have not seen anybody
talk about making talismans intwo parts, because I did
definitely like consecrate theemeralds and the copper wire and

(25:12):
everything at the time thatVenus was in her own term in
Libra, but I have no idea what'sgoing to happen with taking
those and then reconsecratingthem under Venus and Pisces,
with all of that going on too.
So it'll be interesting.

Sunny (25:31):
And so if you're needing ketchup on, not the tomatoes,
though if you're needing to becaught up.
What we're talking about ismaking a talisman, making a
piece of jewelry, or it can bedone on a piece of paper there's

(25:53):
all kinds of you know but it'smaking an object under a
particular astrologicalconfiguration, and the object
then continues to carry themagic of that configuration even
after it has moved on andJupiter is no longer in, you

(26:15):
know, in a good sign, a goodplace, or whatever it's still.
It's still got that energy.
Yeah.

Bootes (26:21):
So you can carry it with you.

Sunny (26:23):
Yeah, and so we've both been experimenting with some
talismanic experiments.
Yeah, just you know Pretty much.

Bootes (26:33):
And I've heard it recommended by other people just
on YouTube like start off withmaybe just something in paper,
you know, like pick your glyphs, your words, sigils, whatever
you're going to use on it, sothat if things go awry, it's
easy to destroy and get that outof your life.

(26:55):
And I said, no, I'm going touse stone and metal for my first
one.
Because you know, because I'vegot, I've got wire clippers and
hammers, so I can bust it up ifI have to, but so far it's
working out just fine and Ihaven't had to kill it.

Sunny (27:17):
Yeah, but so Venus transits are beautiful times to
make talismans If you're, if,for example, if someone who
wants to attract a mate, youknow that's a really great time
to you know, to find a good time, create an object with the

(27:39):
intention of you know, I want tobe married or I want to be in a
relationship, whatever,whatever.
There's tons of things.
Venus is mostly all the goodstuff that we want, Typically,
you know, I want a beautifulhome.
I want.
You know, I want delicious food.

(28:00):
You know I want to go out on adate with a really with a really
cute person.
All of that is is Venus stuff.
So this is this is a marvelous, you know topic to not to
encourage you to practiceoccultism or anything like that.

Bootes (28:18):
That'd be the last thing we would want to do on an
astrology podcast.
Make a beautiful necklace whenVenus is going through various
places in your own chart, thoughit's also, you know, if Venus
gets into your seventh house, that can be a better time for
going out and looking forsomebody to get into a

(28:38):
relationship with or forbusiness deals or other things
that can be signified by theseventh house, or if she's going
through.
You know your 10th house, 10thhouse subjects, career, your
fame, what you're going to beknown for going through your
first house.

Sunny (28:55):
Yeah, why don't we do this systematically actually?
Okay yeah, I think it would be,it would be great.
It's a good topic.
So when, when Mercury I meanwhen, sorry, venus is in your
first house, is a good time fora glow up?
Yeah, it's also.

(29:16):
It's also a really good time.
Venus in the first is reallygood at it.
Kind of gives people a charm,an ability to schmooze to, you
know, to to create bridgesbetween themselves and other
people.
So so that's a good time to besocial and so and you know,

(29:38):
perhaps even being social withpeople who you might have been
intimidated by in the past.

Bootes (29:44):
A little extra boost of confidence A little extra boost
of confidence.

Sunny (29:47):
Yeah, yeah, okay.
So then Venus in the secondhouse Money.

Bootes (29:54):
Well, physical belongings, tangible stuff, not
your house, but your wallet andyour car and your decorations
and things that you can pick upand move, that you own.

Sunny (30:06):
Yeah right, possessions.
I always say possessions, andif you can put them in a box,
that's a second house topic.
I mean, your car, obviously, isan exception to that rule of
car is definitely a second housething.
But but yeah, so, having thosethings, having them, having them

(30:26):
get a glow up, you know, I'vebeen wanting to paint my car,
for you know how, how long I'mgoing to just do that now you
know, that kind of thing, Alsolooking for checks in the mail
that just show up Like I don'tknow.
I don't know why.
It's royalty check from thisthing that I did years ago.

Bootes (30:49):
I'm McMahon, is that you , yeah?

Sunny (30:54):
Yeah, okay, so third house.

Bootes (30:57):
Third house would be.
Making up with your siblings isone good thing.
It can also be good for your ifyou have writing to do or
reading to do or things thatrequire communication and
language.
Venus, through the third house, would be really good for that.

(31:19):
And then also, literally, siblings like if it's a good
time for getting together withyour siblings or if there are
strange relations, it can bebeneficial to have Venus there
in order to help with trying tofix those kinds of things up as
well.
Yeah, what other kinds?

Sunny (31:40):
of things I always talk about.
The third house is also yourcar.
So you know that's.
This is also a time for youknow, a spruce up for your car.
This can also be a good time tolike.
Maybe I decided that I don'twant to patronize a particular

(32:02):
coffee chain anymore and I'mgoing to go find a new.
Find a new spot.

Bootes (32:07):
Okay, kind of third places sort of thing.

Sunny (32:10):
Right, you know, third house is our kind of, our
comfort zones, the places thatwe go on a regular basis and so
deciding that we want to find, you know, find a new spot to
hang out.
Maybe maybe the other onecloses too early, maybe,
whatever, whatever reason couldbe no reason.
I just want a new place.

Bootes (32:31):
you know, okay, okay, yeah, and then in fourth house,
your house redecorating, cleaning, yeah, fourth house
home decorating.

Sunny (32:41):
Yeah, it's also a good time to just like third house,
we had an olive branch withsiblings.
Fourth house is family oforigin.
So if there are issues with youknow parents or you know
anybody in that in that smallnuclear family, this is a good

(33:03):
time to put an put out an olivebranch to that.

Bootes (33:07):
Okay, and before we get too far ahead of it, I wanted to
step back a little bit.
We were saying that yourvehicle is a second house
subject, and then you brought itinto the third house as well.
Because of short trips Becauseof short trips.
Yeah, okay, and that would be.
You can extend that to thehouse, because the trip itself

(33:33):
is third house, and then whatyou take the trip in or with can
be brought in as well.
Yes, so it's also kind of thesame thing from two different
perspectives.
It's your thing, but it's alsoyour.

Sunny (33:45):
It's your thing, but it's what you do with your thing.

Bootes (33:47):
Okay, okay, be careful.
What you do with your thingSounds bad.

Sunny (33:54):
Okay, fifth house.
Fifth house.

Bootes (33:59):
Oh, you know what time it is.
You know fun and games.

Sunny (34:03):
Yeah, fifth house is recreation, is nooky, is
creativity.
Fifth house is I mean, you knowwe were talking about Venus and
art, for example.
This is a lovely time to justput your hand to something and
be like what, if?
What?
If I tried that, yeah, you know, maybe it would look nice.

(34:26):
Let's see.

Bootes (34:27):
Okay, anything creative.
So it can be either coloring orpainting or redoing your cable
management in your computer orin your server stack making it
more pleasant to look at, easierto work with, Anything like
that that is creative and kindof inspired Finding solutions

(34:48):
that are not otherwise evident.

Sunny (34:51):
That's you know, creativity, right, Right, so
yeah.

Bootes (34:55):
Getting outside and gardening, and I've also heard
it referred to Fifth House beingreferred to as like anything
that you can call your baby.
So, whether that is yourliteral child or whether that's
the project you've been workingon for so long, that has become
your baby.
You have created it, you werebabying this thing.
All of that falls into FifthHouse and Venus going through

(35:20):
there for you is there's nobetter time to you know, put the
finishing touches on somethingor to start something new, or
just really dig into what you'vealready had going.
You'll have some additionalhelp there from Venus being in
that position for you, and thenSixth House, sixth House.

Sunny (35:40):
So Sixth House is several things it's health of the body,
it's people that we supervise, people that we are kind of their
boss you know whether it's on,you know, a formal level or
whatever but it's people thatyou know that work for us, that

(36:05):
can also be hired people yeah, the plumber.
And it's also small animalsyour dogs, your cats, your
hamsters, your, you know allthose things.
Okay.
So, venus, going through thereis a good time to take care of
all of those things.
You know, scheduled doctor'sappointments, especially if

(36:27):
there's something that you'dlike.
I wonder if I don't know ifthat's a thing you know, buy a
plate of cookies for your peoplethat work for you or you know,
some kind of, some kind of justlittle token of appreciation.
Venus would very much love tobe a part of that, you know, and

(36:49):
they would probably love toreceive that.
You know.
Great time for taking care ofpets, you know both get them to
the vet, see how they are, butalso like get them a new collar
you know, give them a bath, Givethem a bath.
right, you know all kinds ofways to just express love and

(37:15):
care for all of those creatures.

Bootes (37:17):
Yeah, and then moving into seventh house.
It'll be that I think this waswhat started our houses tangent
with Venus but relationships,one-on-one relationships,
whether that is your lover oryour just crush or your best
friend or your business partners, so on and so forth Venus being

(37:41):
there is going to provide hergrace into those kinds of
relationships, so it can be agreat time for getting on to the
.
You know, god forbid.
I endorse this, but getting onto a dating app or going out to
the places you go to in order tomeet people, it is.
There is no better time for youthan when Venus is in your

(38:06):
seventh house in order to bepursuing those sorts of things.
Venus, I think it's reallyinteresting that seventh house
represents lovers but alsothieves, yeah, which is funny
because they're going to stealyour heart.
But I don't know, maybe you'llhave less trouble with thieves

(38:26):
when Venus is in your seventhhouse, with open enemies,
because it's not just thieves,it's open enemies, people who
are openly against you, because, again, that is a one-on-one
relationship and so it falls inthere.
So, ideally, when Venus isthere, you'll be dealing with
less of that crap on your plateevery day.

Sunny (38:46):
Typically, that would be what we would expect Things that
have been at a simmer to calmdown a little bit in terms of,
you know, in terms of openenemies.
Maybe, if it's at a simmer andwe're talking about a love
relationship, maybe that getsboosted.

(39:08):
But yeah, eighth house.
Which you got.
So eight house is some of thisis like, it's like
administrative.
Okay, eighth house is topics ofresources that we share with
someone else, which, for example, if Bryce and I had a checking

(39:29):
account which we don't, but ifwe did, it would not be my
checking account, it would notbe Bryce's checking account, it
would be ours jointly.
So it is an eighth house topic.
Okay, things like wills andwhat's going to happen to your
stuff when you pass away andtaxes show up in the eighth

(39:53):
house as well in terms of andthat's strictly in terms of
financial resources.
However, I find a lot of timesthat the eighth house also has
another layer of topic which islike, for example, help.
Help is if you are at the endof your rope and you don't have

(40:20):
what you need, you don't havethe resources, and I come along
and I say, well, you know, I can, I can, I can give you some
cash or I can give you some foodor whatever it is.
That's resources that we havein common with someone else.
Okay, yeah, but it's not yoursuntil someone gives it to you.

(40:41):
So that's an eighth house topicas well.

Bootes (40:46):
And that seems to kind of stem from its I, I also often
hear eighth house beingreferred to as as other people's
resources.
Yes, whereas being the secondhouse of the seventh, seventh
being your partner, second housebeing resources, it's your
partner's resources, right, andso you're combining those to say

(41:08):
it's our shared resources.

Sunny (41:10):
It's resource.
Yes, because it's.
It's resources that are notyours, until they are.

Bootes (41:18):
Okay.

Sunny (41:19):
Yeah, okay, yeah, you know, and, and it may be decades
before they become yourresources.
It's not like eighth house isan automatic.
Oh, you're going to have a youknow a million dollars in your
checking account next week, youknow, but it's, it's, it's
resources that are out there andthey might become yours, okay,

(41:45):
through whatever action.
Okay, okay, right, so, so, yeah, so I talked about eighth house
that way.
Yeah, so eighth house is verymuch if, if, if you actually, if
you literally have a partnerwho's, you know, who's got
finances, that you're, you know, you're on the fringes of
whatever, just expressing, youknow, expressing appreciation

(42:09):
for that person, just keepingthose, you know, those lines of
communication open.

Bootes (42:18):
Yeah, and it could also be a good time for starting
occult studies.
I hear occult topics be putinto the eighth house often as
well.

Sunny (42:27):
Yeah, sometimes they do that because of Scorpio, and so
you know, but it, it, I put themin the knife.

Bootes (42:35):
But see, and I had been doing that as well, Our esteemed
astrologer friend, who we bothknow and know who we are talking
about, was telling me that inhis practice, eighth house is
always all occult subjects, notninth house, not 12 house,

(42:56):
eighth house and I'm not sayingthat, I'm assuming he's the
authority, but this is one thatI'm coming across varied
opinions on, but the it seemslike the more modern approach is
to have occult subjects on inthe eighth house and a more
traditional approach has occultsubjects, particularly astrology

(43:20):
, in the ninth house, because itis a faculty of higher learning
.

Sunny (43:25):
Well, I'm a traditional girl.

Bootes (43:27):
Right.

Sunny (43:28):
Right.

Bootes (43:29):
I prefer tradition in general as well.
And then I've heard some peopleless often.
I have heard some people putoccult topics into 12 house
because it's things that arehidden and so each one of them
could make sense in a way.
Yeah, this is.
This is why it's both nice andwould be nice that we don't have

(43:50):
an authority.
You know the ministry ofastrology and other times
there's part of me that's likeit'd be nice if we could just
settle this.

Sunny (43:58):
If we had an, a ministry of astrology, I can't even talk.
I'm on a podcast and I can'teven talk.
Hey, so let's finish this.
Ninth house.
Venus in the ninth is a goodtime to renew or or bolster your
studies of astrology orwhatever spirituality that you,

(44:23):
that you engage in Ninth houseis.
I talk about ninth house beinghigher learning, but I very
quickly come back in and say Idon't just mean college.
What I mean is anything thatyou undertake to learn because
it interests you and, and sothat includes things like you

(44:46):
know, for me, that's always beenastrology.
It's been you know tons ofstuff, you know, but it's it's
any of those things that youcould laugh at me.

Bootes (45:00):
With you.
Oh, okay, okay, thank you.

Sunny (45:07):
So, yeah, good time to renew, to evaluate where am I
going with these topics thatI've been working on?
Am I still happy with this?
Am I still wanting to know more?
Ninth house is also longdistance trips.

(45:27):
Now, the astrologers whodeveloped this astrology talked
about trips over water, but theywere in ancient Greece, which
has little bit of land and a lotof water, and so everything was
a trip over water.
You know they weren't dealingwith the continent that we in

(45:51):
the United States maybe you'relistening from another locale,
but in the US we have greatdistances that have nothing to
do with water and I have yet tofigure out exactly where I want
to lay that.
But it's a long trip.
You define what's a long tripfor you, but it's a good time,

(46:14):
when Venus is in the ninth house, to go on a long trip.

Bootes (46:17):
Yeah, I've also seen people refer to it as special
journeys as opposed to regularjourneys.
So they'll put we put shortdistance travel in third house
and that can fall under regularjourneys.
So that's when you're justgoing to work a couple blocks
away or a couple miles away orgoing to anywhere that you

(46:42):
frequent.
Some people will put into thethird house and then if you are
going on a long distance travelsay I'm flying to Beijing for
work, but I do that all of thetime Some people would consider
that third house and then ninthhouse is any level of special
journey and or pilgrimage.

(47:04):
So pilgrimage would include megoing to a temple, even if it's
right around the corner, and Igo to temple every day.
That is still going to be aninth house topic because it is
a special journey or pilgrimageto a place of spiritual
significance, and so I thinkmore people use just short

(47:25):
distance and long distance.
But just to add in that that isone of the thoughts that has
been presented as well is the isspecial and or special in
mundane as opposed to just shortor long distance, or over water
or not.
Because, yeah, if I was going toNew York City, the only water I

(47:46):
would pass over would probablybe the Mississippi River, the
only notable one, and there'sgoing to be some geography nerd
out there, he's going to be likeno, actually there's seven
different rivers but that's okay.
I appreciate what you areenthusiastic about, but, yeah,
no water to be right, it'scertainly certainly no ocean.
Yeah.

Sunny (48:05):
Yeah, okay, so moving on into 10th house.

Bootes (48:08):
10th house, so where, if Venus is there, you've got to
become a beautician honey, that's all there is to it.

Sunny (48:15):
Well, let's get a little broader.
When Venus is in your 10th,it's a good time to renew
yourself in your career, so tomaybe this is something.
I want to take more classes andget better at something, but

(48:40):
maybe I just want to luxuriate.
Maybe I feel like I'm reallyhere and this is a beautiful
place and I'm loving my careerright now.
Maybe I just want to luxuriatein it.

Bootes (48:51):
Yeah, you know.
So sitting there and stewing inthe goodness that was, I had a
Venus transit through my 10thhouse over earlier this summer
and it nothing crazy happenedalong those lines.
But it was just a nice time,Nice time at work, Nice time

(49:13):
with you know, I didn't getfamous or anything, but it was
pleasant.
That might have even beenshortly, not too long before we
started the podcast as well.

Sunny (49:23):
So yeah, yeah, and then yeah, and then 11th house.
11th house is groups andassociations.
I also tend to put extendedfamily in the 11th house, just
because you know that mymother's uncle's roommate.

(49:43):
You know, if you do derivedhouses, that kind of thing just
tends to show up in the 11thover and over again.
So this is, you know, obviouslya good time to renew
connections with these people.
You know it's, it's sweetness,it's bringing in the sweetness

(50:04):
of Venus into these topics.

Bootes (50:06):
Yeah, and then into 12th house.
Yeah, 12th house is going to bewell.
Usually we look at it as youknow imprisonment and secrets
and people who are against youkind of behind your back, or
also just hidden enemies, and Idon't usually see too many.
There's not the attempt atredeeming the 12th house the

(50:29):
same way that there is inredeeming the 8th house.
True, because people say 8thhouse, oh it's just death.
And it's not just death andit's justifiable to apply all
these other significations tothe 8th house but the 12th house
.
I see less effort at puttinggood things into the 12th house.

Sunny (50:50):
Well, I see mental health showing up in the 12th house a
lot.
Okay, so you know, my big thingwould be to you know when Venus
is in your 12th, I would besaying what are you doing for
your mental health?
You know, how are you, how areyou taking care of that aspect
of your life?
Okay, so you know.

(51:11):
And then the other, the otherstuff, the other more, more dark
meanings, you know it's, it'slike I I say, well, you know
it's, it's Venus coming through.
Hopefully it's making it lessdark, hopefully it's making it
less, less threatening, less,less achy.

Bootes (51:33):
Yeah, eliminating and softening and sweetening and
just bringing the Venusianqualities in.
And one of the things I like somuch about going through a
particular planet and how itmight behave in all 12 houses is
that it really gives you abroader spectrum of what the
planet signifies, what theplanet does or what happens

(51:55):
around the planet and itspatterns.
And you don't really get to forme, I don't see it as well
until I've seen it in eachsituation Nice and how it might
play out in those.
Yeah, so hopefully all of thesehave been enough to give you an
idea of what Venus is, how welearn from her, what we look to

(52:21):
her for and what she does in ourcharts, both natally and horary
.

Sunny (52:28):
And you know all of the other things.
Yeah, I mean, may Venus be everin your favor.

Bootes (52:33):
Yeah.
You know, Hopefully Venus iscoming to a nice house and sign
near you soon and if not, don'tworry, because it's still Venus
and she's not gonna.
She's not gonna break anything.

Sunny (52:49):
Yeah, we should talk about this because, as we're
recording, venus is at the endof Libra, yeah, and so she will
be moving into Scorpio, so youknow, but that's I mean, that's
not terrible, it's just huh, okay, yeah, you know, venus will

(53:09):
be inside of Mars' house going.
What is all this stuff for?

Bootes (53:15):
She's just kind of standing small and like not
touching anything and waiting toget out.

Sunny (53:20):
But it'll be okay.
So whatever house Scorpio isfor you, that's where we can
expect some a little bit ofVenus light coming in.
So yeah.

Bootes (53:33):
All right, well, thanks for tuning in Astro Friends, yes
, and next time we will be backwith the sun.
The sun, yeah, yeah.
So what are these favoritegiant ball of hydrogen flames in
the sky?
Or is it helium?
I don't know, I'm not ascientist.
Gas, I'm kind of dumb.
That's all right.
That's why we're here.
I'm just the face, all right.
We'll tune in next time, y'all, and thanks for coming by, thank
