Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome back to another episode of Astrology with Alice. I'm
your host Alice Bell in today's Monday, April seventh, Happy Monday.
As of today, Mercury retrograde is officially over and we
only have five days left of Venus retrograde two that's
going to end on this Saturday. Honestly, the last few
(00:24):
days of this Mercury retrograde felt so much more challenging
than the first two weeks of the retrograde. Did. I
feel like it was tied to Mercury moving back into
Pisces and conjuncting Neptune right as Neptune was on its
way out of Pisces into Aries, and then also Mercury
getting tied up with like the North node, Venus retrograde, Saturn,
(00:47):
and Pisces. Personally, I felt very very sensitive over the
past week or so when Mercury retrograde moved back into Pisces.
I found that I was like misinterpreting a lot of
what people were saying to me, taking things very personally.
Also found it hard to focus on detailed facts and writing.
(01:08):
I was definitely more in my head and my emotions,
and it was just way harder to concentrate on work.
So if you felt that way, hopefully we have an
easier time this week with Mercury no longer retrograde. Mercury
will still be in Pisces for another week though. And
what's interesting about how we have all these this Mercury
(01:31):
and this Venus retrograde and these later degrees of Pisces,
and now Saturn has also reached the later degrees of Pisces.
They're all coming into direct contact with the north node
in Pisces right at the end of that sign. So
in a way, these retrogrades have also been bringing up
these relevant North node in Pisces themes that will be
ongoing until August of twenty twenty six. This started in
(01:54):
January of twenty twenty five for context, but with the
North note in Pisces for this eighteen month period, it's
really asking everyone to connect with the qualities of Prices,
which would be a lot about learning how to trust
your intuition more and work to understand what your emotions
are telling you, and also having greater compassion for yourself
(02:17):
and the people around you, kind of communicating in more
of an emotional intuitive way rather than needing everything to
make logical sense, I guess would be like the opposite
of that, but also really learning that emotions aren't a
negative thing and being sensitive isn't bad, and kind of
(02:40):
learning how to use your sensitivities and your gut instincts
to your strength during this north node transit. And also
it could be that emotions and your intuition are fueling
creative inspiration and you're wanting to lean more into the
artistic side of your brain rather than the one that's
so focused on like facts and overthinking and needing everything
(03:04):
to be perfect. It's kind of asking you to slow
down in that way. So we're still at the very
start of this transit. Like I said, it's ongoing the
north note in Pisces until August twenty twenty six, so
maybe it kind of feels like an abrupt shift, and
like why am I so sensitive and feeling everything and
(03:24):
not able to focus or be as productive as I
once was, Because we're still the start of this transit.
But see how that continues to develop over the next
year year and a half, and how this is in
an area you're fighting so much, but rather learning how
to lean more into and like I said, use it
to your advantage. Maybe by the time we get around
(03:45):
to Pisces season next year and all these planets move
into Pisces and trigger the North. Note again, it may
not feel as challenging as it does in the moment.
So Mercury retrograde and Dinge being the huge event for
this week, but there's also a lot of other stuff
going on. Mainly, we have Venus retrograde ending on Saturday,
and on that same day there is a full moon
(04:06):
in Libra, So this entire week is spent in the
lead up to that full moon. I expected to be
a more action packed week, one where you might be
coming together with people. There's more community involvement, maybe plans
to move ahead with something either at work or in
your personal life, or is starting to finally come together,
(04:29):
and it could be that a new relationship or a
habit you've been wanting to establish is starting to flow
much more easily too, but with the full moon and
the sign of Libra. And we'll get into more specifics
with this full moon later on, but just want to
emphasize how big this week is for connecting with people
and wanting to prioritize time spent in relationships, whether that's
(04:51):
romantic or platonic quick announcements before we get into the
astrology for the week ahead. I recently released a substack
for paid some describers on timing and tracking transits to
sinistry and composite charts to understand when certain relationships in
your life are more activated and you're seeing greater developments
(05:14):
happen with that person versus when that relationship may not
be a huge focus. So that's for paid subscribers, and
then I'm putting out one that will be free for
everyone to read coming early this week. I think I'll
end up publishing it on Tuesday. That's going to be
on the mid Heaven and different ways of interpreting what
the mid Heaven means in terms of career, but also
(05:37):
other facets of your life, So stay tuned for that one.
With that being said, though, let's get into the astrology
for the week ahead. We are kicking the week off
on Monday, April seventh. Monday is kind of tricky. Mercury
is stationing direct at twenty six degrees of Pisces. It's
been retrograde since March fifteenth, so the second half of
(05:58):
March may have slowed you down a bit and that's
carried into the first week of April, and maybe there's
been a recent communication issue with someone that you've needed
to resolve, or maybe there's been a situation that's happened
in your life recently where you've just not been able
to stop thinking about it and there's probably been like
a recurring thought pattern about this and like how you
(06:19):
can resolve it. So maybe that starts to feel a
bit easier with that retrograde lifting, and maybe you feel
more ready to act on any insight or important reflections
that came up surrounding something that was bothering you, whether
that's in a relationship or in another area of your life,
or it could be that you've just been doing a
lot of reflection on what do you want your next
(06:41):
steps to look like, what do you want to work
towards at work, what responsibilities do you want to take
on next, And now you might have greater clarity surrounding
those areas. People with early cardinal sign placements or late
mutable sign placements in their chart have definitely been feeling
the effects of these two retrogrades, mercury and venus the most.
(07:02):
And for you guys, maybe you've been going through a
bigger life transition, or you've seen a big shift internally
of how you think about yourself or where you want
to put your energy, especially if these retrogrades have been
affecting I would say your Sun by degree, your rising sign,
or your ascendant by degree, or your chart ruler, so
(07:25):
the rolling planet of your rising by degree. I feel
like that would have the most effect in terms of
identity and really thinking about yourself in a different way
with these retrogrades. But as always blend the meaning of
the planet affected with the themes brought up by the retrograde,
and also the day that mercury retrograde ends and mercury
(07:46):
transitions from being retrograde to direct this can be a
chaotic day because mercury is making that big leap that transition,
and it really intensifies all those meanings of mercury in Pisce,
so kind of thinking way more emotionally, being very sensitive. Also,
Venus and Saturn are exactly conjunct at twenty five degrees
(08:10):
of Pisces, and that's only one degree away from where
mercury retrograde is ending. So having that Saturn influence with
these planets too, there could be some communication issues that
come up on Monday, or hiccups in your schedule or
delays that you need to overcome first, or maybe something
you're planning or working on is taking a long time
(08:33):
on Monday, like way longer than you expected, and you're
kind of frustrated by that delay or that longer process.
In addition, all of these pizs transits Venus, Mercury, and
Saturn are in a trine to Mars and cancer on Monday,
So this also points to how you might be learning
how to communicate your emotions or be more compassionate in
(08:55):
how you interact with people, or intuitive insight may come
to you early this week and you're learning to trust
what your emotions are telling you rather than seeking answers
outside of yourself. So on the one hand, we do
have that triggeer side to Monday, but at the same time,
we have the moon in Leo and the sun in Areas,
so there's this uplifting dynamic between the Sun and moon
(09:18):
both being in fire signs, and this really helps to
fuel creativity and maybe has you wanting to find hobbies
and passions outside of work and making an effort to
connect with fun or joy in your life if everything
else feels out of your controller kind of difficult at
the moment. The fire sign energy is also more outgoing,
(09:40):
so you could want to connect with people, but again
remembering all that water sign emphasis between cancer and Pisces,
your social interactions might feel more meaningful or have this
deeper emotional element to them. Okay, let's move on to Tuesday,
April eighth. We start the day off with the moon
still in Leo until about nine forty AAR Eastern, so
(10:01):
time zones ahead, you get the moon and Leo for
a larger part of your day. However, the moon will
be void of course during this time, so expect lower
motivation until the moon shifts into Virgo. You could have
a slower start to your Tuesday. It's just slower to
get up, slower to get to work. And then finally,
when that moon moves into Virgo a little before ten
(10:23):
am Eastern, you'll start to feel much more productive and
you may feel urged to get better organized in your
everyday life. Or you could be doing a lot of
multitasking at your job and handling smaller details at once.
Because the moon is in Virgo for the majority of
this work week up until Thursday, so Tuesday Wednesday Thursday.
(10:44):
You could have this urge to work a bit harder,
really get things together, get organized. Or you could also
be more health conscious and maybe you have this motivation
to exercise, cook healthier meals for yourself, or you're leaning
into other ways that you nurture and take greater care
of your body, like, for instance, scheduling a routine doctor's appointment.
(11:08):
That's a very Virgo moon type thing. You're just more
attentative to how you feel in your body and maybe
also how your physical health and the habits like eating
a certain way or exercising or affecting your mental health too.
It's kind of like mind, body, spirit are all interconnected.
But yeah, looking at the week as a whole, basically
(11:29):
keeping track of these more mundane, smaller details that make
up your everyday life, that's going to be a larger
theme than we are to Wednesday, April ninth, the moon
remains in Virgo all day, but on Wednesday it's squaring
Jupiter and Gemini. So again we do have these themes
of multitasking, tending to a lot of detailed work or tasks,
(11:53):
like little tasks and errands that make up your everyday life,
and maybe you also want to tend to projects that
have to do with a lot of numbers, fact checking
or editing. That type of thing is great to always
do under Virgo transits. However, you may have bigger emotions
come up though, or feel kind of anxious because the
(12:14):
Moon is connecting with Jupiter in this way, Jupiter may
naturally amplify the Virgo Moon's qualities of being very mentally
on or needing everything to be done a certain way.
So you may need to step back on Wednesday and
try to remind yourself that not everything needs to be
perfect all of the time. Maybe also be wary of
(12:36):
being overly self critical too. And you could also need
to pause because you're not being present in your body
and like everything's happening in your mind and you just
need to come back down and be more present within yourself.
So try to keep that in mind for Wednesday, because
(12:57):
you don't want to spiral about things you really don't
have a lot of rollover. So on a more positive note,
Jupiter connecting with the Moon could offer an uplifting energy
and maybe you do find that you're able to work
towards something with greater ease or you just have more
energy in general to get these smaller tasks and responsibilities done.
So Tuesday and Wednesday are pretty similar in that they're
(13:19):
both going to be more productive and handling a lot
of little different things at once. Let's move on to Thursday,
April tenth now, because even though the moon is still
in Virgo, there's more of a frantic energy on Thursday.
So just to rewind, the moon's in Virgo for a
large part of the day up until a little after
nine pm Eastern, so time zones ahead, you get the
(13:43):
moon in Virgo your entire Thursday, and on Thursday, the
moon's making way more aspects, it will be opposing Venus retrograde.
It's also opposing Mercury now direct and Saturn all at
the end of Pisces. So it kind of may bring
up these feelings that were similar to what you were
feeling at the middle of last week, where you could
(14:05):
feel kind of frustrated or weighed down or slow in
an area of your life, or maybe you do notice
a slight miscommunication or taking things kind of personally that
may occur on Thursday, just feeling way more sensitive than
you normally would, or maybe even drained because the moon
will also be aligned with the south node in Virgo.
(14:28):
On another note, maybe you feel great on Thursday and
that didn't really that doesn't really resonate with you, and
it could just be that you're working extra hard and
there's a lot that's getting wrapped up on this day
and you're coming full circle, either with a project or
an opportunity at work, or maybe something happening in your
home or within your personal relationships. Because we are getting
(14:50):
pretty close to the full moon, so this is the
time of the month where you're really starting to see
things come together more fully. A little after nine pm Eastern, though,
the moon moves out of Virgo and into Libra, where
it will immediately oppose Neptune and aries. So some of
this hyper sensitivity and feeling more emotional in general that
(15:11):
you may have felt a lot of Thursday will also
carry into the first few hours of this Libra moon too,
so into Thursday night possibly Friday morning for time zones ahead. Honestly,
Thursday is not looking to be an easy day, So
if you do end up feeling stressed out or pulled
in a million different directions, the full moon and Libra
(15:32):
may actually feel better than this moon and Virgo that
we have kind of at the end of the work week.
So let's move on to Friday now. As we get
closer and closer to this full moon Friday, April eleventh,
we are officially in full moon territory as of Friday.
And I've said this repeatedly, but the time of the
(15:52):
full moon is typically the busiest period out of the
entire month. So Friday may not feel that chill and
relaxed with the moon and Libra all day. It's not
quite the full moon yet, but the moon being in
this sign, there is that emphasis on connecting with people,
and you may have more interactions overall on Friday, like
(16:13):
calls with people, meetings at work, checking in with friends,
making plans to have some type of social activity on
Friday evening or carrying into the weekend. Libra is definitely
a sign that's more about one on one interactions with people, though,
And this kind of contrasts with what I think about
when I think about full moon energy is more about
(16:36):
having greater community. Like whenever I'm planning an event, I
try to do it around a full moon because I
just know that there's more of a desire to be
around a larger group of people, whereas with the Libra
moon it's more about, Oh, I just want this like
quality interaction with just one or two people that I
really care about. So there could be that push pull
(16:58):
that you're feeling as we head into the weekend. And
maybe if you are going to like a bigger group
outing or have plans with several different friends, maybe there's
like one person that you're gravitating towards a bit more
and you want to really hear how they're doing. Also
with the libramon, you may be more drawn to art, culture, fashion, beauty.
(17:20):
I'm thinking back on Libra full moons in years past,
and I remember going to a book talk with my
favorite author, Kurtis Sittenfeld on the Libra full moon in
twenty twenty three, and that was so much fun because
I don't know, it like stimulated that love for reading
and getting inspired by hearing someone talk about their writing process.
(17:42):
So think things like that where you might want to
get more involved with what's going on around your city
and or possibly doing like research and reading on your
own time. Also, this close to the full moon happening,
a lot of realizations may be coming up related to
the Ebra ruled house of your chart, so identifying what
(18:03):
house that is for you, thinking about changes you want
to make there or how you might release something in
that part of your life. You could also notice a
surge of activity and development occurring there, or something's becoming
it's being made more visible in that part of your life.
So just to run down themes by elements of rising signs,
(18:24):
Fire sign risings, this Libra full moons a lot about
having developments happen in relationships and maybe feeling more connected
with people, whereas this full moon for Earth sign risings
will have to do more with career work routine and
how you make money and maybe figuring out what work
do I feel most passionately about. And then for Air
(18:46):
sign risings, it will have more to do with your
sense of self, like your overall identity, what you're interested
in learning about, or how you can express yourself creatively.
And then for Water sign risings, it will have more
to do with your mental health and maybe stuff going
on with home and with family, or kind of confronting
(19:06):
repressed emotions and identifying aspects of yourself you want to
improve upon. With that being said, let's move on to
the actual day of the full moon now, which is Saturday,
April twelfth. The full moon and Libra doesn't occur until
Saturday night, a little before eight thirty pm Eastern, so
times ends ahead. It's actually going to be on your Sunday,
(19:28):
the thirteenth, but the full day of Saturday is spent
building up to that full moon going exact, so Saturday
may be a more emotionally heightened day where a lot's
going on. Maybe you're doing a lot of errands, you
have plans to meet up with people, or you're seeing
some type of project or hobby. Come full circle again,
(19:48):
checking the liber world house of your chart and noting
those themes by rising sign that we just touched upon
a bit to understand how this full moon is affecting
you personally. Moon is also occurring at twenty three degrees
of Libra, so people with cardinals signed placements right around
that twenty three degree marker, give or take, I would
(20:10):
say like three degrees on each side of that, will
feel the effects of this full moon the most. So
you want to blend the themes of whatever planet or
angle is involved with the significations of the full moon,
and the full moon is about release making realizations, experiencing
visible change or greater activity. So like, let's say you
(20:35):
have a Virgo rising with a libramon at twenty three
degrees in the second house of your chart. So not
only would this full moon bring up the Libre ruled
second house themes of work and money, but it would
also tie in moon themes because you have that Libra
moon there, so home and family might be extra relevant
(20:56):
at this time too. And then you can take this
even one step further and look at what house does
the moon does this Libra a planet rule in my chart,
so the moon rules cancer, and you could tie in
eleventh house themes because it's a Virgo rising chart. So
you're getting a lot of different moving parts that you
(21:16):
have to take into consideration when interpreting what a specific
lunation will mean for you. This full moon is making
some trickier aspects, though mainly it's squaring Mars and cancer.
And it'll also be exactly opposite to Chiron in Ares,
so the Sun will be exactly conjunct Chiron at the
(21:36):
time of this full moon. So I would say there
may be some insecurities that surface at this time, or
feelings of hurt or maybe you're digging up these old
memories or situations that bothered you or left a mark
on you in the past, and you could be working
to heal from them or addressing emotions associated with that
(21:58):
specific situation or memory, or maybe you could be reflecting
more and thinking about how have you already healed in
a certain area of your life, Like how far have
you already come with shedding yourself of certain limiting mindsets
or insecurities. It's interesting because the full moon in Aries
(22:20):
that happened last October October of twenty twenty four made
these same aspects to Cairn in aries and Mars in cancer.
So you could even want to think back to like
what was relevant to me last October? What were maybe
some insecurities I was facing or challenging emotions that came
up or areas of frustration, and how how have you
(22:41):
worked on that since October? Or maybe how is another
iteration of those similar feelings coming back up again? And
then with that configuration to Mars, you may also have
some anger or irritation that comes up with this full moon,
or maybe you have a strong urge to cut something
(23:02):
out of your life that isn't working for you anymore,
or maybe you finally find the courage to stand up
for yourself or set a boundary, or get worked up
about something that you're passionate about. You may also notice
this kind of like irritated, frustrated, kind of like angry
energy coming from other people too, so try not to
(23:24):
take it personally if someone takes out their frustration on
you this weekend. An overarching theme I'm getting is that
this full moon has this component of needing to address
the past and make peace with it, or transform certain
past beliefs so that you can move forward differently. It's
(23:44):
also very important to note that Venus retrograde is ending
on Saturday, April twelfth, too, and Venus happens to be
the ruling planet of this Libra full moon, so Venus
is very much in the spotlight on Saturday, and whatever
it's doing that day needs to be watched closely so
to rewind a bit, Venus has been retrograde since March first,
(24:07):
and that retrograde is finally coming to an end after
six weeks. So this is a big shift that's taking
place on Saturday, and it could have you seeing your
relationships in a new light or coming to a decision
regarding a relationship, and this could be with a friendship
or a family member too. It doesn't necessarily have to
be with someone you're dating or in a relationship with.
(24:29):
And maybe with this retrograde ending you're realizing what people
you truly value. And then outside of relationships, maybe you're
thinking about money and your spending habits and what is
worth purchasing. Or the way you think about your creativity
could be changing, and maybe you have this I don't know,
light bulb moment of a new way in what you
(24:52):
can express yourself. Or maybe you want to go shopping
and pick out some new clothes and dress a bit differently,
or experiment with different stuff in your closet, or get
into like literal arts and crafts, or maybe some type
of like creative writing. Whatever that looks like for you
will likely be a bigger focus this weekend. And again,
(25:13):
Venus retrograde ending points to how connection with people and
how you relate and communicate with others is such a
huge theme right now, Okay, and then we're wrapping up
the week. On Sunday, April thirteenth, the moon moves out
of Libra and into Scorpio, a little before ten am Eastern,
so time zones ahead, you have the moon and Libra
(25:34):
your entire weekend pretty much, so you're continuing on with
more of this social creative energy or having like heightened
emotion surrounding relationships. Once the moon moves into Scorpio right
around ten am Eastern, you may find yourself wanting to
pull back from all of this activity that has been
going on over the past few days, and you may
(25:55):
just need some time to be alone and rest and reflect.
It could be the the full moon brought up emotions
you were surprised by, and on Sunday you need this
space for reflection and allowing yourself to slow down because
it is only like one day out from the full moon.
Though there still is this lingering energy of maybe wanting
(26:15):
to catch up with people, have some type of social
outing too, but with the moon in Scorpio making sure
those interactions have a deeper connection, or you're sharing more
of yourself with someone, it's not so light and fun
surface level interactions. The moon in Scorpio will also be
(26:37):
squaring Pluto and Aquarius on Sunday, so you might be
looking at what aspects of yourself do you want to
transform or release, and how can you trust more in
the timing of your life and not try to control
everything so much. You might be working on changing mindsets
around what you do have the power to control and
what you don't or wanting to go of certain patterns
(27:01):
that might be holding you back in an area. Okay,
and that is where I end this week. Thank you
again for listening and for supporting this podcast. I hope
everyone has a great next few days and I'll see
you back here next time.
