Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome back to another episode of Astrology with Alice. I'm
your host Alice Bell in today's Monday, March seventeenth. Here
is to hoping that this week is a little less heavy,
a little less chaotic or low energy than last week
what may have been. I'm actually recording this on March thirteenth,
so like tonight the lunar eclipse and Virgo is happening,
(00:25):
and this whole week I felt just so low energy,
not like in a negative way, just like I can't
be bothered to do a lot, and it's kind of
like that Saturn heaviness. So I say that because this
week we are shaking that heaviness of Saturn off as
the Sun moves further into Pisces and eventually transitions into
(00:49):
Aries on Thursday, March twentieth. So having the sun inner Aries,
which is the sign of the Sun's exaltation, this will
help us to fear a lot more energized once we
get to the later part of this week. Although looking
at ARI season as a whole, which I'll get into
further when we get into the episode, it might be
(01:10):
hard for the first half of ARIE season to really
get new things going or really feel like, Okay, we're
back on track, knowing what steps to take next with
a new project or a new relationship, because we're still
in the midst of eclipses and retrogrades up until these retrogrades.
(01:31):
Mercury retrograde ends on April seventh and Venus retrograde ends
on April twelfth, So that's a huge chunk of air
season that it does still that it will still feel
kind of slowed down, or that things are getting delayed
or you're not quite seeing the full picture of what
exactly comes next for you. And as I just mentioned,
(01:52):
we are coming off of a lunar eclipse and then
we're preparing for our solar eclipse which will happen in
aries next week. So eclipse season is ongoing at the moment.
And you may notice that you're going through these significant
changes in your life, whether that's represented by a big
external change happening like changing jobs or moving or having
(02:15):
something very obvious happen to you, or it could be
that you're feeling this change on more of an internal
level at the moment, like you're having an important realization
about something that you want to work towards, or maybe
a situation you want to release from your life, or
how you might pivot into a new area. Really pay
attention to what types of reflections and realizations are coming
(02:37):
up over the course of the second half of March
and into April, because eclipses, whatever is brought up at
them really sets the theme for the next six months
until we get that next set of eclipses in September
of this year. So it could be really important what
is happening to you right now and then I know
(02:58):
I already mentioned we have two retrogrades ongoing, but just
to focus on how this is the first full work
week of having mercury retrograde. So don't be surprised if
over the next few days something you thought was good
to go, or something you were working on launching or
working on developing suddenly runs into delays or setbacks, or
(03:18):
you start to feel very frustrated about a situation, or
maybe you're having this urge to speak up about something,
or it could be that you're revisiting a situation that
happened in your past, or maybe an idea you had
in the past and you want to look at that
more closely. I would say, overall, there's this need to
(03:39):
pay extra attention to how you communicate with people this week,
and if you have any contracts, paperwork, important pieces of
writing or speaking related work going on, you will need
to go about them a lot more slowly and carefully,
trying not to rush through anything over the next few days.
So this moment in time is definitely hard. It's like
you have that at Aris rush of wanting to start
(04:02):
something new, being kind of impatient, wanting to get to
that next new chapter, but still feeling held back or
that something needs to be reworked or revisited first. That
could very much be a theme that's going on for
the next couple of weeks until we hit mid April.
Before we get into the week ahead, just a reminder
that I'm putting out the Ari Season in Depth monthly
(04:24):
horoscopes on Thursday, March twentieth on my substock. That is
a perk for paid substock subscribers where I provide a
detailed reading about two thousand words per rising sign of
the significant transits happening throughout Ari season, like the solar
eclipse in Aries, the full moon in Libra Mars, finally
(04:46):
leaving cancer and moving into Leo. Also these ongoing retrogrades,
changing signs, and then eventually ending, as well as other
relevant transit's happening over the next month, and I go
into what all of that means for each rising signs.
So you can think of this as a mini reading
that you can refer back to over the course of
the next month. And I do find I get a
(05:08):
lot of comments from people. They're like, I read it
when it first came out and it didn't resonate, and
then I'm revisiting it now at the end of the
month and like, literally everything you said came true. So
these are also interesting to look at when the month
has passed and kind of see, like, how did stuff
play out as was written? So yeah, stay tuned for
(05:32):
that on Thursday. And let's now get into the astrology
for the week ahead, kicking the week off on Monday,
March seventeenth. It's interesting because we start this work week
off with the sun and moon both in water signs.
Sun is in Pisces, moon is in Scorpio, and then
by the end of the work week, both the sun
(05:52):
and moon have transitioned into fire signs, the Sun moving
into Aries and the moon moving into Sagittarius. So just
as an overarching theme, pay attention to how the first
half of the week and the second half of the
week maybe felt in a very different way. Like maybe
throughout Monday, Tuesday, and most of Wednesday you're kind of
(06:12):
sensitive or introverted or more reflective, while the rest of
Wednesday going into Thursday Friday really could have more of
an optimistic or outgoing energy where you're wanting to connect
with people or wanting to try out new experiences. But
for Monday, the moon is in Scorpio all day. It
(06:33):
moved into Scorpio right around three point thirty am Eastern
on Monday morning, So for time zones ahead, maybe you
do feel a shift to being more introspective or having
kind of bigger emotions come up, or just needing to
keep to yourself a bit more at the midpoint of
your day or maybe later on in your day when
(06:55):
we get that shift into the moon being in Scorpio.
But for most of us in America, waking up on
Monday morning having the moon in Scorpio squaring Pluto and
Aquarius could feel a bit tense. There might be a
situation that you're obsessing about or fixating on a bit,
or maybe you have a strong emotional reaction to something,
(07:15):
or just feel a bit unsettled when you're waking up,
or maybe someone you work with is kind of trying
to control your schedule too much, or you could have
a conversation that rubs you the wrong way. It may
not be that any of this happens either, and it
could just be that you're more reflective of your emotions,
or maybe you're just needing to enter your day in
a more quiet way. The moon will be in Scorpio
(07:39):
throughout all day Monday, Tuesday, and a large part of Wednesday,
so ongoing themes to keep in mind for the next
three days would be, like I just mentioned, looking at
your emotions more closely, maybe identifying how can you improve
upon certain reactions or better understand what your feelings are
telling you in your interaction with people. Maybe you're wanting
(08:01):
to open up a bit more and really share about
something you're going through or connect with people in a
deeper way, but also at the same time needing more
moments to be by yourself, or just being more selective
about what social activities you're attending or who you're giving
your time to. Like maybe if you're only wanting to
meet up with someone if you feel like you can
(08:24):
trust them in a deeper way, or maybe in these
conversations you're having with people throughout the next couple of days,
you're talking about more meaningful topics to you, like really
hearing about how someone else is doing and not just
making pleasant small talk. On the other hand, it could
be that you're also wanting to do deeper research into
certain subjects that you're interested in. I do feel like Scorpio,
(08:48):
especially squaring Pluto on Monday, can really go deep on
whatever is interesting you at the moment, or whatever you're
obsessing about, just kind of wanting to know all there
is to know about one specific thing. Moving on to Tuesday,
March eighteenth, I don't have a ton to say for Tuesday,
because the moon is still in Scorpio. All of those
(09:10):
themes we just went over will still apply throughout Tuesday too.
The only difference is that on Tuesday the moon will
be trying Mars and cancer and also Saturn in Pisces.
So maybe you're getting this nice boost of productivity and
greater energy, and there's an ability to go about your
work or your errands or other responsibilities in a calmer way.
(09:32):
Not a boring way, but just you're able to step
back and have that time to yourself and really get
done what you need to do. So overall, Tuesday a
great day for quiet productivity. Then moving on to Wednesday,
March nineteenth, we have a couple transits taking place. The
Sun in Pisces will be exactly conjunct Neptune in Pisces
(09:54):
on Wednesday. This is typically not an easy energy and
it's kind of a final kick that we're getting from
this pisc season with the Sun making all of these
harsh conjunctions first with Saturn last week, now with Neptune
this week, and the Sun meeting up with Neptune may
have you feeling overly sensitive, or you could experience feelings
(10:15):
of self doubt or like you're not doing enough, or
you're comparing your success to other people. It's also another
transit that speaks to low energy. I don't want to
give just negative interpretations for this transit though, but those
are kind of like realistic feelings that might be coming
up in the first half of this work week peaking
(10:35):
on Wednesday. But on a more positive note, Sun Neptune conjunction,
this could be a great transit for feeling more intuitive
or channeling your emotions into music, are writing, any other
type of creative outlet. And maybe you feel more spiritual too,
like you could be getting into a yoga practice or
maybe you're getting more out of learning astrology. Is good
(11:00):
to turn to a community or feel connected to something
bigger than yourself when Neptune is involved, because that kind
of helps take you away from maybe comparing yourself up
to other people too much, or feeling down on whatever
you haven't accomplished yet. So maybe seeing this as an
opportunity to step back and be like, what is actually
(11:21):
most meaningful to me in my life? And how can
I have more meaningful connections with people? This is actually
the last time we will ever get a Sun Neptune
conjunction and Pisces again in our lifetimes, because the next
time the sun moves in and triggers Neptune, it'll be
in the sign of Ares. So kind of seeing this
like how longer transits like Neptune? You're honest, Pluto, They
(11:45):
really get awakened when the sun or Mars or a
full moon new moon takes place in alignment with them.
This is kind of that final like, what is this
Neptune transit in Pisces been about since twenty two twelve,
and maybe in a way it could be symbolic of
themes that are wrapping up as Neptune prepares to leave
(12:07):
Pisces at the very end of March, which I think
we're getting into either next week or the week after
and moves into aries until the end of the twenty thirties.
So this is a big transit that's we're on the
cusp of having and kind of the Sun is helping
to usher Neptune out of this sign. So in relation
(12:27):
to your own chart, really locating what is the houseworld
by Pisces in your chart and maybe reflecting on what
has happened over the last decade or so in getting
you to open up more in that part of your life,
develop greater compassion for yourself there, maybe learn how to
set better boundaries for yourself in that area, or maybe
(12:48):
you've found a way to inject your sense of creativity
or your spirituality into the topics that are represented by
that house in your chart. Also, on Wednesday, the moon
is at the tail end of Scorpio and it'll be
exactly trying this sun Neptune conjunction and Pisces, which could
help to alleviate some of these challenges that this Sun
(13:09):
Neptune conjunction is presenting to you. Or maybe it's helping
to bring out more of the creative, spiritual, compassionate, and
like loving side that Neptune can be about it it's
at its best, But again, just really watching how midweek,
maybe there's something you're momentarily confused about, or there's a
(13:30):
miscommunication that comes up, or you're extra sensitive about a situation.
The moon finally leaves Scorpio and moves into Sagittarius a
little after four pm Eastern on Wednesday afternoon, and once
that moon moves into Sagittarius, it'll immediately start training Venus
and Mercury and Ares. So there's this notable, noticeable shift
(13:53):
to fire sign energy and maybe come Wednesday afternoon Wednesday
evening you do feel a bit more out going and optimistic.
Or if part of your Wednesday, if the first half
was lower energy or kind of emotional or frustrating in
some way, then maybe Wednesday night you just want to
let loose, You want to connect with friends, or you
(14:15):
may want to do something fun on your own, like
learning something new or attending some type of experience in
your city. Moving on to Thursday, March twentieth, the moon
continues on in Sagittarius throughout Thursday, and it'll be opposite
to Jupiter in Gemini as well. I personally love the
(14:36):
energy of Thursday. It looks a lot more uplifting and
positive than most of the days that come before it.
This week and Thursday could be a time of learning,
doing research, having stimulating conversations with people. Maybe you also
have inspiration to tackle writing related projects or like maybe
a presentation for work or generate new ideas. Basically, you're
(15:00):
and want to use your mind in expansive and productive
ways on Thursday. And the main event for Thursday will
be that Airy Season is beginning, so the sun is
moving into this cardinal fire sign from March twentieth until
April nineteenth. This year, Airy season always marks the start
of the new astrological year. It's the first sign in
(15:21):
the zodiac, and therefore it's a sign associated with youth,
energy and new beginnings. It's kind of like it's a
sign that's a lot about jumping into things head first
without maybe putting a lot of careful thought or planning
into it, but sometimes that can serve you well because
it's like enough talk, take action. That's very much an
(15:42):
Aries theme. Airy season is typically a great time for
initiating new projects and goals and jumping into the unknown
and maybe establishing yourself as more of a leader, however
major or minor that may feel in your life. It's
a lot higher energy than what we've just experienced with
Pisce season. However, specific to this year, some of this
(16:08):
high energy initiating new projects, getting started on new things
is probably going to be slightly delayed or still feel
uncertain because of mercury and venus retrogrades happening in the
same sign. So this may bring out the Aris qualities
of being a bit impatient or getting frustrated when things
(16:30):
aren't happening immediately, or other people are not on the
same page as you, and you could really want to
move ahead with something, but you're feeling slowed down or stuck.
I really see the first half or so of ARI
season being felt in a slower way and maybe kind
of like I said in the intro, needing to really
(16:50):
reflect on do I want to accept this opportunity or
how do I want to plan out some type of
new project or other situation in a more careful way,
or maybe how do I best proceed in this friendship
or relationship, And maybe there's something you need to revisit
from the past first, or release there or accept or
(17:10):
even build upon something from the past before you can
move forward into the future more effectively. Once we get
further into April, you'll really start to see that momentum
in new Beginnings picking up again. I hate to say
that there's more delays, there's more frustration. I feel like
I've been saying it in the past several forecast episodes,
(17:31):
but that's honestly the astrology of this time period. So
if you are feeling this way, you're not alone, and
these feelings will lift. What I find interesting about Arie season,
I really feel like there's going to be a lot
more activity happening closer to the Ari's full moon or sorry, no,
the Libra full moon that happens in Air season, So
that's April twelfth, the same day that Venus retrograde ends.
(17:55):
So it really if we can hold on until April twelfth,
I think that will bring so much clarity and we'll
actually have activity taking place in your life. Let's move
on to Friday, March twenty. First, the moon is still
in Sagittarius on Friday, but it'll be squaring Saturn in
Pisces and then Neptune and Pisces throughout the day. So
(18:18):
I mean again, when we think of the moon and Sagittarius,
it does tend to be this more social, energetic energy
that's excited by learning and having new experiences and connecting
with people. But having it connect with Saturn throughout Friday,
most of the day, you may need to focus on
work a bit more and there could be tasks that
you have to get through that feel kind of tedious,
(18:41):
or maybe there's a lot of planning going on with
something that's taking you longer than expected. Also, stay tuned
for maybe minor delays or hiccups as you go about
your day, because I just notice on the days when
the Moon connects with Saturn, there's always some type of
delay or something slowed down. That's just what that's the
(19:01):
energy that Saturn brings. But once we head into Friday
evening Eastern and the moon moves past that aspect with
Saturn and starts applying to a square with Neptune. I mean,
this isn't much better, and again it may bring up
this theme of sensitivity or being more emotional that you
experienced earlier on in the week, like Tuesday Wednesday. So
(19:23):
I see Friday as a good night to stay in
and maybe schedule low key plans or if you are
seeing someone or a group of people, maybe doing something
that doesn't require a lot of effort in planning. I
think by Friday you're going to just want to chill
and not do a lot. Moving right along to Saturday,
(19:44):
March twenty second, the moon moves into Capricorn right around
three thirty am Eastern, so early early Saturday morning time
zones ahead. This will obviously be later in your day,
so you could feel that low energy hypersensitivity that I
went over for Friday night at the start of your Saturday,
rather than on Friday. But once the moon moves into
(20:06):
Capricorn on Saturday, it will start squaring the Sun, Venus,
and Mercury all in aries. And Saturday marks the third
quarter moon phase, so we're coming to the end of
this current lunar cycle and energy is winding down. But
because the moon is making so many aspects to other
planets on Saturday, you could still be doing quite a
(20:28):
lot on this day, like maybe there's errands that you're
running or work that you still need to take care of,
or you're reaching out to people and making plans, or
you're just more out and about and wanting to get
out of the house and do stuff. I'm traveling for
a wedding this weekend, so I'll be at a wedding
on Saturday. Interesting choice to schedule a wedding for this time,
(20:50):
but we will see how it goes, and I'll report back.
Also on Saturday, a really important trans that's taking place.
The Sun and Venus are meeting up in aries. Both
of these planets are meeting up at two degrees of aries,
so it's a Sun Venus casimi. And when a planet
so Venus in this instance, comes into direct contact with
(21:11):
the Sun like this, the planet is thought of as
being weakened by the Sun. But I also find that
when it's like the exact exact degree like this, not
within a couple degrees like two or three or four
or five, but the exact degree, I actually see that
the energy of the planet becomes way more intensified and
(21:31):
shows up in a more meaningful way in your life.
So these Venus related themes that we've kept going over
recently of relationships, finances, personal style, creativity, one or maybe
all of these themes, you could be feeling a lot
more intensely this weekend. So in a way, it actually
does make sense that I'm going to a wedding because
(21:52):
it's a celebration of a major relationship milestone and Venus
is getting highlighted by the Sun on Saturday. So this
kazimi marks the halfway point of Venus retrograde, and it
also plays an important role in a bigger cycle between
the Sun and Venus. So Venus has an eight year cycle,
meaning it takes eight years to return to the same
(22:14):
sign and degree of that sign at the same date.
So this is why you get a Venus retrograde in
the same sign every eight years, because it's like Venus
returning to that same position in the zodiac every eight
years around that same timeframe. So we had a Venus
retrograde taking place in Ares eight years ago in March
(22:35):
April of twenty seventeen. But between these eight year Venus
retrogrades and Ares for instance, and the resulting Sun Venus
casimi that takes place in Arest. During the halfway point
of these retrogrades, you also get a sun Venus Casimi
in this sign four years in between when Venus is direct.
(22:58):
So if we rewound four years ago to March end
of March early April twenty twenty one, there was a
sun Venus Cazemi in Aries too, but Venus wasn't retrograde,
it was direct that time around. So you can kind
of break these venus cycles up into four year segments
and depending on what sign is most prevalent in your
(23:23):
chart related to relationships, So like let's say your seventh
houses in Arees, or you have your Moon and Aries,
or your Venus and Ares, or even your Sun in Aries,
or like the ruler of your seventh house is placed
in Aries, then these sun Venus, Kazemis and Ares will
be very telling of pivotal relationship changes for you that
(23:47):
go on throughout the course of your life. It's important
to remember that these venus retrogrades only take place in
five signs of the zodiac. Currently, starting in Arees, it's
beginning to shift into Pisces, though Capricorn Scorpio, which is
beginning to shift into Libra, Leo and Gemini. So if
you have those five signs, and I guess you could
(24:08):
add in Pisces and Libra to that too, featured in
a prominent way in your chart, Like maybe it's your
rising or your sun or your moon, or your venus
because that's like a venus obviously we're talking about venus
retrograde or the ruler of your seventh house like we
talked about, or the ruler of your first house, that
would also be important. Then you can know that every
(24:30):
time there's this repetition of a sun venus casimi in
one of those five signs, or venus retrograde in one
of those five signs, whatever sign you have the most
placements in, and like, those will be very important time
frames to watch for relationship developments for you. So I
actually have a very interesting story that illustrates this perfectly.
(24:52):
I have there's this friend of a friend. I'm not
friends with this person, but they got engaged to someone
right around this sun venus casimi and aries in like
late March early April of twenty twenty one. I don't
remember the exact date, but it was like right around
that Kazimi period, and she ended up getting married to
(25:15):
this person, to this guy and they have since gotten divorced,
and now right in the lead up to this next
sun kazimi in Arees, she's engaged to someone new again.
So I don't know what her chart looks like, but
I'm assuming Arees is a very important sign in regards
to relationships for her, because both times she's gotten engaged
(25:39):
have been during sun Venus kasimis and ares. The first
time was when it was direct in aries the sun
conjunct Venus direct in aries, and now it's a similar repetition,
but Venus is retrograde, but we're still getting that sun
venus casimi. So it could be a really interesting exercise
to go back throughout time tracking the venus cazimis every
(26:02):
four years that happen in one of those five signs
and seeing how it correlates, like with placements in your
own chart, and what was happening with relationships at that time.
I know, as a Leo rising and an Aquarius sun
like having a lot of fixed sign energy in my
chart personally, when the sun venus cazimis happen in Leo,
(26:23):
those tend to be the most important ones for me. Okay.
So I went off on a bit of a tangent,
But let's wrap this week up. On Sunday, March twenty third,
the moon is still in Capricorn, but it's opposing Mars
in Cancer on Sunday, so it's not as pleasant or
easy going of an energy that maybe Saturday had, and
there could be some internal tension that comes up, or
(26:44):
maybe you're putting a lot of energy towards home activities
or family, or maybe you kind of feel like you're
bickering with someone a bit more on Sunday, or maybe
you're a bit more reactive than you normally would be.
So as a result, Sunday it would be a good
day to try to direct your attention towards work, taking
(27:05):
care of errands, finding ways to better structure your upcoming week,
because I feel like those are all qualities associated with Capricorn,
like a need to have structure in your life. And
maybe Sunday could be an ideal day to schedule a
workout or do some type of activity that's a bit
more active. But yeah, that is it for this week.
(27:26):
Thank you again for listening. I will see you back
here next time, and reminder that I'm sending out in
depth Avery season horoscopes by rising sign on Thursday, so
you can find those on my substack Astrology with Alice
if you're interested. Hope everyone has a nice week though,
and I'll see you back here next time.
