Speaker 1 (00:03):
Welcome back to another episode of Astrology with Alice. I'm
your host Alice Bell in today's Monday, May nineteenth. This
week is a wrapping up of one cycle as you
reflect on your next steps and what's to come with
the new moon and Gemini, which is taking place exactly
a week from today. So overall, looking at the kind

(00:25):
of overarching themes for the next few days, you're winding
down projects or opportunities that have been occupying your mind
over the last few weeks since the last new moon
in Taurus, which came at the I believe it was
the end of April, and now we're closing out that
one chapter and preparing for what comes next, which really
gets going next week. So keep that in mind. This

(00:49):
is not an ideal time to start something majorly new,
and you could be just overall lower energy over the
next few days and think of this as a reflection period.
Speaking of Gemini though, Gemini season is starting this week
on Tuesday, so that's tomorrow, and it's lasting from May

(01:11):
twentieth until June twentieth this year, so key themes to
keep in mind, and we'll get more into this throughout
this episode. But Gemini season has a lot to do
with travel, in the exchange of ideas, picking up new skills,
and learning how to communicate more effectively in your everyday life.

(01:32):
So this is a time where you don't want to
keep your mind more stimulated, whether that's through in taking
new information or then going to find new ways to
share your information with other people. I personally think that
Gemini season is such a fun time of the year.
Maybe that's because it rules my eleventh house, but I
just find it's more of like a social bubbly type

(01:54):
month where you are engaged in a lot of different
things at once, and you're just more inspired to pursue
whatever new ideas and new conversations are coming at you.
And then by the time Cancer season hits, which will
be a month from now, I always am just so
burned out and I'm like, Okay, we're ready for the

(02:14):
introversion of cancer season to come on, because Gemini season
does pull you in so many different directions. The biggest
transit to note for this week won't happen until Sunday,
and that is Saturn leaving Pisces and moving into Aries
for the next several months before then coming back again
in early twenty twenty six to be in aries for

(02:35):
two more years. So this is a huge transit that
we're about to have happen. And speaking of Saturn moving
into aries, I do need a lot more stories if
I'm going to compile an episode of Saturn transit stories
for you. This is not a Saturn return episode, although
if you've recently gone through a Saturn return, feel free
to write that in. But it's mainly focusing on what

(02:57):
house has Saturn been transiting in your in your chart,
ideally whole sign house when it's been in Pisces, and
what themes have you noticed come up or that you've
been learning how to restructure over the course of the
last two years since March of twenty twenty three, So
really zooming into like what are those exact themes of
that house and how did you notice them super prominently

(03:21):
in your life over the last couple of years, and
now how are you noticing of wrapping up of those
themes or how you may have gained a sense of
mastery over that part of your life. So please don't
hesitate to share your stories with me over at info
at Alicebellastrology dot com. That's where you can submit them
I guess you could also submit them to me over

(03:41):
Instagram DM if that's easier, but I look forward to
hearing from you, and I just get so much positive
feedback on people loving these type of episodes because you
get to hear about how transits play out in a
real way in people's lives, and that gives you a
better idea of what to expect now that Saturn will
be entering a sign a house of your chart. And

(04:02):
also before we get started, just an announcement that my
Substack monthly horoscopes are coming out tomorrow on my Substack
Astrology with Alice, So these are extra long for Gemini season.
I've written a kind of around twenty five hundred words
per rising sign because there are so many transits happening,
like Saturn moving into aries, Jupiter moving into cancer, Mars

(04:26):
moving into Virgo, new and full moons this month. There's
just a lot going on, and you can think of
these Substack monthly horoscopes as this written reading that you
can keep referring back to over the course of the
last month. So if you're already subscribed, expect that in
your inbox. Tuesday around noon is usually when I send

(04:49):
out substacks, and if you want to subscribe to substack,
it's a great resource that I have where I teach
astrology in written format. So there's this whole archive of
astrology information like how to read a solar return chart,
how to read annual perfections, how to look at the

(05:09):
different phases of the secondary progressed moon. I really go
deep on very niche timing techniques over on substack. But yeah,
with that being said, let's get into the astrology for
the week ahead. So we are starting the week off
on Monday, May nineteenth. This is the last full day
of tourist season, and the moon is an aquarius on Monday,

(05:29):
and it'll be squaring the sun in Taurus, marking the
exact third quarter moon phase of the month. So this
is a critical period out of this lunar cycle that's
been going on since the end of April and is
now wrapping up a week from now, where you could
see the shift to Okay, it's time to wind some
things down that I've been developing, or in the days

(05:53):
immediately following this third quarter moon phase, you're noticeably slowing
down and figuring out your next steps and what you
want to start working towards next and maybe it's that
the projects or the tasks or the ideas that have
been occupying your energy. Maybe you're still making these minor
adjustments to those types of things before figuring out how

(06:16):
to build upon them in the future. But going back
to the very start of Monday, so very early morning
in America, more of your entire day if you're in
time zones ahead, the Moon and Aquarius will also still
be opposing Mars and Leo and squaring Mercury in Taurus.
So expect to start Monday off on a busier note,

(06:38):
and you may feel slightly overwhelmed or irritated by something,
or that there's just a lot going on and you
feel pulled in all of these different directions. On a
more positive note, maybe these aspects the moon is making,
especially to Mars, gives you this energy boost, or there's
more emails and interactions with people taking place right at

(06:58):
the start of the start of your week, and also
with the moon in Aquarius, the social element that made
up a lot of this past weekend will linger into
Monday too. And I notice personally every time Monday comes around,
it does tend to be a more introspective slower day
of the week because it is the day ruled by

(07:18):
the moon. But I see this Monday as maybe not
being so much that case, like maybe there is something
a bit more social that you're doing, or again, more meetings,
calls or community oriented activities are taking place, and if
you did end up having some irritation or some innertention
or frustration come up earlier in the day on Monday,

(07:40):
expect by Monday evening to feel this more pleasant energy.
Is the Moon in Aquarius comes into this exact trine
with Jupiter in Gemini, So Monday night could be a
great time to text a friend or reach out and
make plans with someone. Or maybe if you're wanting to
keep more to yourself and slow things down, you're still

(08:00):
carving out time to read or taking an online workshop,
engaging your mind in something that's a bit more interesting
or outside of your usual routine. Let's move on now
to Tuesday, May twentieth. This is the day that Gemini
season begins, and the Moon is also moving into Pisces,
so we get this total shift from Sun and Moon

(08:21):
being in fixed signs to now being in mutable signs,
and the moon moves into Pisces right around eight thirty
am Eastern, so time zones ahead. Notice how like if
you calculate when that time would be for you, noticing
how you see a shift to the themes we're about to
talk about a little bit later in your day. But
for the most part Tuesday, you could feel more sensitive

(08:44):
or you're just feeling things more intensely, like maybe you're
more affected by the news that you read or the
content that you're consuming. It could also be that you're
drawn to spirituality and wanting to learn more about life
purpose or your intuition or how you can help people
or be more compassionate to yourself. Pisces is a very nurturing,

(09:07):
giving energy, sometimes too much, so just make sure you're
kind of learning how to set maybe an energetic boundary
of Okay, what is my energy versus what is maybe
someone else's that I'm picking up on? And these Pisces
Moon themes last throughout all of Tuesday, all of Wednesday,
and into a good part of Thursday, and then also

(09:30):
looking at what else is happening on Tuesday. Gemini season
doesn't technically start until three pm Eastern, so for Asia Australia,
people far away from America in time zones, Gemini season
doesn't start until Wednesday. You're twenty first, I think so.
As I mentioned in the intro, Gemini season is lasting
from May twentieth to June twentieth, with the sun in

(09:52):
this air sign for the next month. Underlying themes that
you can expect will be having a greater focus on
your everyday communication skills, so like how do you approach
conversations in your personal relationships, or how do you convey
knowledge or pitch ideas or do a presentation at work.

(10:12):
It could also be that you have a lot more
ideas coming to you for writing or speaking or content
you want to put out there. And then also expect
to be widening your network of who you know and
maybe diversifying who you spend your time with. I think
of Gemini energy as like coming into contact with a
lot of different people at certain events, or maybe friends

(10:35):
of friends or someone you're newly dating introduces you to
their friend group. It's not necessarily fostering these deeper connections,
but more like bouncing around from group to group or
honestly refining your small talk skills. I know that's not
super fun, not something I like to do, but Gemini
is a lot about the art of the small talk.

(10:56):
In addition, I associate Gemini with travel, although more of
the short form travel or quick getaways, or travel that
has more of a social element, where you're going on
a trip with friends or meeting a lot of people
through these new places that you're visiting even if you
can't go anywhere. Maybe it's a time of like traveling
with your mind, so wanting to learn about a new

(11:19):
skill or a new subject and taking time to attend
a workshop or take a little short course that keeps
your mind stimulated. I would say the main downside with
Gemini energy is this tendency to overthink or just feel
very scattered and mentally on, like finding it hard to
fully relax and be in your body. It's more about

(11:41):
the mind, so knowing that maybe you can take the
steps to prepare by maybe making a conscious effort to
exercise and be more connected with your physical self, or
cook and nurture yourself in other ways. Moving on to Wednesday,
May twenty first is still in Pisces all day, so

(12:02):
we're seeing a continuation of these Pisces moon themes related
to heightened sensitivity, having a greater interest in spirituality or
things like astrology, or connecting with your higher self through
journaling or meditation or going for walks outside. It's more
of this interest and like, what is the bigger purpose here?
How can I fulfill like what my soul has set

(12:25):
out to do in this life? That feels very existential.
But noticing that in small moments throughout the middle of
this week, the only exact aspect the moon is making
on Wednesday is a sex stile to mercury in Taurus,
and that's not happening until Wednesday evening until Wednesday night.
So later in the day, maybe you know how you're

(12:46):
having gentle communication with people, or feeling more inspired when
learning about very practical skills that you can implement into
your everyday life, like trying out a new recipe or
calming down through a craw Like, for instance, my husband
loves to arrange the flowers we get like a floral subscription,
and like he has that duty of arranging them and

(13:08):
making them look good. So Mercury brings out I mean,
I guess it's just like having these two very creative
signs emphasized by mercury in the moon. So Taurus has
a lot to do with beauty and peace and creativity,
and Pisces also has to do with that kind of
thing in a different way. And Mercury and Taurus may

(13:28):
even help to ground the Pisce's energy, like bring you
out of the day dreaming or your emotions and bringing
your focus back to tasks that are real and in
front of you and that help you connect with yourself.
Another transit I want to bring up that will be
building throughout Wednesday and still be felt very intensely on
Thursday is that Venus and Ares will be exactly training

(13:52):
Mars and Leo. So amidst the heavier emotions of this
Pisce's moon transit throughout Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, we still get
this boost of energy coming from these two planets Venus
and Mars in the fire signs. And this also points
to creative inspiration or feeling more confident in how you
express yourself or the clothes that you wear and your

(14:15):
style or your overall brand. If you're public facing in
any way, it could also be that you have an
urge to put yourself out there with dating, or you're
taking a more assertive, active approach to organizing social plans
bringing people together or establishing a first date with someone,
or going further in a romantic relationship. Also note the

(14:38):
houses in your chart ruled by Ares and ruled by Leo.
Those two houses will notice this very positive link between
the two coming through this week. And because it's those
houses are both ruled by fire signs Aries and Leo,
they naturally share similar themes. So in a Scorpio raising chart,
it's linking the six house with the tenth house. Both

(15:00):
of these have to do with work and productivity and
maybe seeing positive news or positive developments take place in
your career. Then we are to Thursday, May twenty second.
Thursday is very similar to Wednesday in that we still
have that aspect going on between Venus and Mars across
Aries and Leo, showing how you might still be putting

(15:21):
more effort into creativity and connecting and having fun with people.
And also the moon remains in Pisces still for the
first half of the day, so around one pm Eastern
the moon will finally leave Pisces and move into Aries,
but for the first half of Thursday, the moon and
Pisces will be conjunct Saturn, So early Thursday and most

(15:42):
of your day. If you're in time zones ahead, there's
just this heavier energy and maybe you do feel more
sensitive or there's greater stress or work on your plate. Thankfully,
this is the last time I mutable sign Moon transit,
so Moon and Pisces Gemini Virgo Sagittarius will be aspecting
so for a while. This won't happen again until September.

(16:03):
So I'm very curious to see how nice and gentle
and relaxed the moon and Pisces transit will feel come
next month without Saturn there and then headed into the
second half of Thursday, once the moon moves into Aries,
you could notice this shift of feeling more optimistic and inspired,

(16:26):
or like you have these greater reserves of energy to
draw upon. If the first half of your day felt
very tired or like everything took so much effort and
work to have happen, the end of the day, things
will just move, maybe move much more quickly, and you
could want to initiate plans with people or act on
an idea you have, jumping into a new experience or

(16:48):
a new plan without deliberating or needing to have everything
go in an exact way. Okay, let's move on to Friday,
May twenty third. Now the moon is still in aries
all day Friday is so pleasant. We have the Moon
and Aris coming up on a conjunction with Venus and Ares,
and then it'll be training Mars and Leo. So reawakening

(17:11):
that trine between the fire signs that we went over
earlier in the week and maybe feeling that a bit
more intensely. So again going back to what house has
robay aries in your chart? What houses roby Leo? How
are you seeing a strong connection coming through in those
houses of your chart? And I've been actually going back
and forth, so this trne with the Moon and Venus
and Ares on Friday in my ninth house, training Mars

(17:35):
transiting my first house of Leo. I've been going back
and forth on if I should get a virtual ticket
to Norwak, the Astrology Conference, and I feel like, just
by recording this episode, I'm like, wait, I do need
to put energy into learning, and I feel like it'll
help me positively and maybe influence what I want to
share and how creative I feel by doing these ninth

(17:57):
House themes of learning more about astrology and finding new
techniques to bring into my work. So I think I'm
actually going to do that. But anyways, expect Friday to
be more of an outgoing day and maybe wanting to
try out something new again, making plans with people even
though it's still this like waning moon energy. Maybe there

(18:18):
is like a one on one type activity you could
do with someone and feeling this greater warmth and closeness
in your relationships headed into this weekend. On the other hand,
it could be that you're learning how to be more
direct and honest with people and stand up for yourself
in a relationship. Or we could get those venus themes

(18:41):
come out of spending more money with the moon triggering
venus and maybe that's a more of an emotional or
an impulse purchase. So just something to be mindful of
on Friday and maybe also carrying it a bit into
Saturday too. I've also got a shout out Friday, May
twenty third. This is my four year aniversary if not
drinking alcohol, so I quit drinking at the start of

(19:04):
my Saturn return on this exact day in twenty twenty one.
So maybe I'll try to do a bonus episode in
the future of astrology of making these kind of major
health choices for yourself and cutting back on negative habits
like that. Okay, then we are to Saturday, May twenty fourth.
The moon is in Aries for the first half of
the day until right around one thirty pm Eastern that's

(19:25):
when it chips into Taurus, so the first part of
your Saturday may feel rushed and busier. However, the moon
will go void of course during that period in early Saturday,
so at the same time that you may feel impatient
or want to get something done, it could actually be
harder to get anything completed. So try to just relax

(19:47):
on Saturday and go easy on yourself and don't think
that you need to do a lot at once. The
energy will feel much more grounded and peaceful headed into
Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening and into Sunday as the
moon shifts into Taurus. And during this time you could
want to keep more to yourself. Maybe you can't be
bothered to pull yourself away from relaxing activities or tending

(20:11):
to your own interests. Maybe you're more stubborn about sticking
with your routine and engaging in what you know already
works and what makes you feel good and happy. And
by Saturday we're pretty close to the new moon by
this point two days out, energy is really winding down.
So maybe you just don't feel up for getting out

(20:31):
and being around a lot of people at this point,
or if you do go out, maybe notice how you
don't feel as energetic, or you may want to leave
earlier than you normally would. I would say Saturday and
also headed into Sunday. This is a great self care
type of time of the month and finding ways to
do relaxing activities that connect you with your body. And

(20:55):
then we are wrapping up this week on Sunday, May
twenty fifth, but this is actually the day of the
week that I have the most to talk about. So
the moon is still in Taurus all day on Sunday,
so a lot of those themes of being a bit
more quiet, introspective, finding ways to nurture yourself, or finding
enjoyment in your routine and these activities that make you

(21:16):
feel safe and comforted will still take priority. However, you
could be slightly irritated or quick to react to people
emotionally with the moon coming into the square with Mars
and Leo, or maybe you get this minor boost of
energy to do a bit more work or run some errands.
Sunday could be the more higher energy day of this weekend,

(21:39):
even though looking at the weekend as a whole, it
really is a quieter time, more for reflection and not
pushing yourself to do as much. The main event for
Sunday and for this entire week is that Saturn is
leaving Pisces and moving into Aries on Sunday, so reflecting back.
Saturn has been in Pisces since early mark of twenty

(22:00):
twenty three. Saturn stays in one sign and house of
your chart for about a two and a half year
long period, so it's not fully done in Pisces. It'll
have a final wrap up period at the end of
this year into early twenty twenty six, from September first
into February of twenty twenty six, but then Saturn will

(22:21):
fully return to Aries in February twenty twenty six until
April twenty twenty eight, so the next few months throughout
the very end of May, June, July, August. That's a
sneak preview of what you're going to be continuing to
build upon and develop in the Ares world house of
your chart for the next two years, and Saturn transits

(22:43):
really do define these two to three year long underlying
themes in your life. When people are wondering what to
prioritize with timing techniques, I always say start with transits.
Prioritize transits, especially Saturn, Jupiter, and the North and South nodes.
That's going to tell you the majority of what you
need to know for any given year in your life,

(23:05):
of what overarching themes you need to be paying attention to.
But with Saturn Saturn transits can point to an area
of your life depending on what house it's transitting or
maybe whatever planets it's aspecting in your chart where you're
experiencing a lot of stress and hard work needs to
be put in, but you're also learning how to honor

(23:27):
commitments and set lasting structures for yourself in that house
of your chart, or having to do with the themes of
a certain planet or angle that Saturn is transitting. So
I'll go further with Saturn and Saturn and areas specifically
in the bonus episode I'm hoping to put out, So

(23:49):
please again write in your stories so we could get
a good episode going. But for now, know that it's
moving into aries on Sunday, so that as world house
of your chart is about to feel more pressure coming up,
and maybe over the coming months you feel this initial
desire to change up an aspect of how you're going
about that part of your life, or there could be

(24:10):
increased work stress or responsibilities coming through in the themes
of that house. You could also be taking stock of
what is really worth putting energy into in this area
and will will whatever I'm engaged in this part of
my life? Will this serve me in the long term?
Saturn is about thinking strategically and building structures that will

(24:32):
last for many years, even decades in that area. And
to get a better idea of what this transit will
mean for you, you can reflect back on the Pisz's
World house of your chart to see how the themes
of that house may have been a point of stress
or restructuring to you back in twenty twenty three, that
first year that Saturn was in Pisces, and maybe thinking

(24:55):
now about how do you feel like you're coming full
circle there or how do you have a way deeper
understanding of how you want to show up in that
part of your life the Pisces world House than you
did back in early twenty twenty three, and it's very
interesting when Saturn does shift into aries and moves from
one house to the next in your chart, it's very

(25:17):
obvious how this new part of your life is, like WHOA,
why does this feel so different than it used to?
Why does it require so much more of my attention?
And why am I having to put a lot more
effort into this area. So general themes to take note
of by rising sign and then we'll get into exact
rising signs in the upcoming podcast I'm putting out, and

(25:38):
you can also find that information on my substack horoscopes,
either by year ahead or by month ahead. But for
fire sign risings, this Saturn and Ares transit is a
lot about identity, developing new interest, developing greater confidence in yourself,
and turning to learning or creativity, whereas for Earth sign
risings it has to do more with your inner self

(26:00):
and your mental health and navigating emotions and better understanding
why you are the way you are, and maybe taking
a closer look at family dynamics or how you act
within intimate relationships, Whereas for air sign risings, this Saturn
and Ares transit has a lot more to do with
your social life and your romantic life and how you

(26:22):
commit to people and what types of relationships you want
to keep around. Whereas for water sign risings, Saturn and
Ares has a lot to do with career and routine
and making money for yourself and establishing better structures or
a greater meaning at work, and then looking at Saturn
and Ares in general, this is the sign of its fall,

(26:45):
so its opposite areas is opposite to where Saturn is
exalted in Libra, which makes a lot of sense because
if you think about the qualities of Aries, it's a
lot about jumping into something head first without a lot
of planning and want to to act now and maybe
hoping things come together later and being courageous and taking

(27:05):
initiative in that way, while Saturn is all about boundaries
and feeling held back or delayed or needing to do
careful planning and setting up structures slowly over time that
take a lot of effort on your part. So there's
going to be this push pull between like noting the
themes of the Ares world house of your chart and

(27:26):
seeing this push pole between wanting to get started on
something new and wanting things to happen quickly there but
needing to slow down with Saturn there and practice patients
and know that the best things do come with time
and that you can't cut corners to be successful in
that part of your life. And with Saturn just covering

(27:49):
the first couple of degrees of ares this year, people
with cardinals signed chart placements, so angles or planets in
your chart between zero to two degrees of aries Libra,
Cancer and Capricorn, you're gonna feel the pressure of this
Saturn transit the most, and there may be increase stress

(28:11):
or responsibility put on that planet or that angle in
your chart, and you may feel urged to address the
topics associated with that chart placement in a bigger way
and find a way to incorporate those themes into your
life productively. That's all I'll say on Saturn and Aries
for now, but again, stay tuned for that longer, more

(28:33):
in depth episode on Saturn transit stories coming likely at
the end of this month, if not early June, and
if I don't get enough stories, may have to wait
till February when Saturn re enters Aries. So please please
please send in your stories. I can't wait to read them,
and we'll be kicking next week's forecast episode off with

(28:54):
the new Moon and Gemini, So until then, I hope
you have a great next few days. Bye.
